Q? how to change filename of receiver adapter includeing payload attribute?

hi all.
our scenario is IDOC - XI - FILE.
IDOC is standard type .xml"
Despite of searching help library, just read about how to change using payload value.
How to change the filename using payload attribute?

Hi,
You can create the file name dynamically from the payload of the receiver adapter as follows.
From the requirement you have stated, you want your file to be named as,
TPSDLS<shipmentid>.
For this, in the reciver file adapter, give your filename as <b>TPSDLS%var%</b> and under variable name substitution,
<b>var</b> --> <b>payload:IDOCTYPE,1,Shipments,1,ShipmentID,1</b>
here, var acts as your variable name and it first looks for IDOCTYPE and its first occurence, shipment and its first occurence and finally, shipmentID and its first occurence. There by generating the filename dynamically.

If I understand your requirement correctly, you need to have a specific Material Group Hierarchy level (Say Level 2) to be an attribute of Material Group. Usually, this level represents a Brand or Segment, or something with specific meaning.
If this is correct, here are the things you need to do:
1) Create an InfoOnject for this specific attribute representing the specified hierarchy level
2) Add this InfoObject to Material Group as an navigational attribute
3) Select this navigational attribute in your InfoProvider
4) Create a transformation routine for this navigational attribute in Material Group Transformation so that the specified hierarchy level for Material Group will be found and populated. The detail of this routine will depend on your specific requirement. Also, you have to make sure Material Group Hierarchy is updated before Material Group attributes are loaded. If you are not family with ABAP, please ask an ABAPer to help you for the Transformation Routine.
5) Include this navigational attribute in your query along with other required InfoObjects.

File adapter: how to change filename

Hi all,
In my scenario I need to add specific time stamp (current date actually) to filename when it's copied to target system. In the properties of file adapter there is an option to add time stamp, but I need it to be in format YYMMDD.hhmm, while XI default suggests another one. How can I solve the problem? Use variable substitution or m.b. dynamic configuration? In addition want to say that there is no any mapping in the scenario.

Change FileName File/FTP Adapter

Hi all,
I have a simple scenario File-To-File there is no mapping,so i've created it directly on Integration Directory, like this : https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/FiletofilewithoutusingwithIntegration+Repository
I've have a requirement to change the file name to be saved by Receiver in accordance with a complex logic.
I know that the FileName variable can be manipulated like this: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
But in my scenario I have no mapping, so I'm thinking about to implement a Module to change the FileName to be saved.
Does anybody suggest another way? Or implement a module is the best solution for this case?

The requirement to change file name was changed and now I can calculate the new name after file has been saved on target directory, so my solution was to create a java program that contains this logic and the code to rename file. Now after processing I'm calling this program and works fine.

How to change filename in iPhoto?

Hi,
I can't seem to find out how i can "rename" the photos in iPhoto - so it also changes in "Finder"?
("Rename them for eks. "IMG001.jpg" to "Sunrise.jpg")
I've tried to rename them in "Finder", but then iPhoto can't recognize them anymore.
Is this a fact? Or is there a way to do this?

When I click on a photo in Iphoto and I look to the bottom left of my screen where it shows the "information" box, the first line states Title, that is where it shows my new name I gave the pic. What I do is select all photos in an event, click batch change, and then click title and then type my new name (ex. 2009-01-09).

My canon (an apple product) came with its own program for downloading pics (imagebrowser).
Canon are a large multinational all of their own. Apple don’t own them.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

In a file to file scenario, I am sending a file with specific file name and now at the receiving end i used have the file name as same name along with timestamp and a counter both. Is there any dynamic file naming program available.

Hi....
Create a new field in the target structure.
For that map like below
DynamicConfiguration -->
Counter --> concate --> Targetfield
And use variable substituion in the reciever communication channel.and also choose file construction mode as 'AddTimeStamp'.
If you dont want the extra field in the target payload, use FCC and remove that extra field.

How can i Configure JDBC Receiver Adapter to INSERT data in multiple tables

I want to INSERT data in 4 diffrent tables.
Input Data Format is:

</H1>
I want to insert <H1> Header data in particular table & all the details data<D1> in their corresponding table.
Note that Header Can't repeat but Details records are repeating again & again.
Is it possible to write Multiple INSERT STATEMENT in single Data Type.??
I mean to say can we write STATEMENT keyword again & again. if yes HOW ?

JDBC receiver adapter: No 'action' attribute found in XML document

Hi this is my target structure getting generated at the Receiver JDBC adapter
I have checked the XML doc, still unable to figure out why in the RWB its showing the following error:

It is not possible to change the name of the server, but you can add a label to it (see attached screenshot). And yes, it can be done during production hours, this doesn't affect the production data.

Receiver determination using substring in filename in file adapter

In PI 7.11 I would like to determine the receiver based on a substring in the filename in a file receiver adapter. I am planning on using a context object but am having trouble entering the correct code in the "Right Operand" field.
I have tried selecting Context Object = Filename http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File and entering this code in the Right Operand: "contains(substring('_4000_'))"   and an "=" in the as I am looking for a filename, that contains the substring "_4000_".
I would like to avoid using an extra map and using Dynamic Configuration, as I thing this would be the most elegant way of fixing it
Is there a way of referencing the context object if I chose xpath in stead of context object?

I have to check the 7th and 8th Char of the file and according to that I have to place the file in the folder
Target: DGE008\IN\Inbound
            DGE008PH\Inbound
I don't know how to used the XPATH for file and specially how to use the substring in that.

How to pass dynamic filename to Receiver JMS channel

Hi experts,
I want to pass the dynamic filename to receiver JMS message Properties.
for example
I am passing directory name via adapter module AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean with key and value combination like below. How to pass dynamic filename value to a dynamic property ( say DCJMSMessageProperty1)
eg.
key.0 - >insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty0
value.0 - > testdirectory ( which is static value)
Note: Im have not created any ESR object . i just have to bypass the file to a jms queue. I have used AAE integrated configuration scenario ( file to jms )

we got one scenario, which the PI need to pick the .zip file from file path using file adapter and process to SFTP server with same name and extension .zip.
we tried using ASMA setting and when ever we are placing the '*' in receiver channel file name , it showing error as "Putting * failed".
so could you please provide solution how we can able to receive the .zip file with same name.

In ASMA the default namespace was like this http://sap.com/xi/XI/System you can changed it to http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File.

Filename from payload - FTP receiver adapter

Hello everyone!
I have a scenario wherein I need to get the value from a field coming from an IDOC and then give that value as the "filename" of the file that is saved in the FTP folder.
IDOC > XI > FILE
For example, if /ORDERS05/IDOC/E1EDK02/BELNR = 620000123
then I want the name of the file to be saved in the FTP folder to be 620000123.xml
I understand you may use the 'variable substitution' property in the FTP receiver adapter, but subsequent attempts at trying to configure that property have resulted in errors. Can anyone help me out?
