求助linux下安装boe的webserivce问题

boe安装成功,designer,webi等都可以用了,发现query as a webservice无法使用

报错
Please enable REST support in WEB-INF/conf/axis2.xml and WEB-INF/web.xml
网上一搜,都说改aix2的配置,
FAQ  1:  调用webservices时,出现 u201CPlease enable REST support in WEB-INF/conf/axis2.xml and WEB-INF/web.xmlu201D 的提示。
            Solution: 打开axis2.xml , 将<parameter name="disableREST" locked="true">true</parameter>改为<parameter name="disableREST" locked="true">false</parameter>, 重新启动servlet engine。
Why: Axis2 has two different endpoints, one for REST (AxisRESTServlet) one for SOAP message handling (AxisServlet), if you disable the parameter "disableREST", you will got the above warning
照着改了以后重启,报错很大一堆

望各位大侠指点,版本是BOEXI 30 linux

  • BOE scheduler config error

    Hi,
I'm getting an error in the DS web consol when configuring a BOE schedule.  I have created the CMS connection and it tests successfully.  I can select the CMS Name in the scheduler.  But when I select 'Activate' and 'Apply' I get the error is 'Server Input% not found or server may be down'.
    DS - 12.1.0.0 on Linux
    BOE - 12.1.0.882 on Linux
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

change the name of the Input and Output file repository server from BOE CMC or CCM
open CMC click on server, from the list of server stop input and output file repository servers
open the properties for the input and output file server and rename them using following convention
currently the name will be something like
    <machine_name>.InputFileRepository
    change this to
    Input.<machine_name>.InputFileRepository
This is known problem with using BOE SDK XI R 2 version with BOE XI 3.0, Data Services uses BO XI R2 SDK version to create schedule in BOE

Tried to do a full install of BOE XI 3.1 Linux on Redhat 5 with at least the mimimum requirements and it goes through fine but then in the end errors out with "Failed to create MySQL tables. Installation aborted." Any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?

    Hello Fred,
I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration|BI Platform; forum.
This forum is dedicated to topics related to administration and configuration of BusinessObjects Enterprise, BusinessObjects Edge, and Crystal Reports Server.
It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
Also, all BOE Administration queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • BW Publisher Configuration in a BOE Cluster (Linux OS)

I have a question about configuring BW Publisher service in  a BOE Cluster (with 2 servers).  The BOE cluster is on 64 bit Linux servers with Oracle db for CMS and Audit.
The BW publisher service on server 1 is configured to run against a SAP host (letu2019s say u2018host1u2019 and using SAP gateway, SAPGW00).  The command to configure BW Publishing service is,
    $ ./bwcepub.sh 1 u2013a<Program ID> -g <hostname> -x<SAP Gateway>
After executing the BW Publisher script, the service is running fine. Further configuration on BW and BOE system is letting users publish Crystal reports from the CR 2008 to BW and then to BOE. No problems in that area.
However if a new SAP host has to be configured against the BW Publisher service (a different instance of BW Publisher service) on server 1 (scenario u2013 one BOE server with multiple SAP BW systems connected to it), what is the best process for BW Publisher service configuration?  Create one more instance of BW Publisher service with different Program ID and hostname?  I have tried this approach and got the following message:
WARNING: The BW publisher is already running as user bobjadm. Exiting...In order to run the publisher as the same user but from a different session, define variable BWCEPUB_PREFIX to something unique, e.g. session2_ so that the publisher can keep track of the different sessions. Once BWCEPUB_PREFIX is defined as a unique, non-empty string, re-run the publisher command.
Upon some search in the SAP notes, found the following workaround (which applies for Solaris OS).
The suggestion is to issue the command, export BWCEPUB_PREFIX=2, verify and re-issue the BW Publisher start command again.
However I am not sure if it will fix the issue.
Also, the 2 instances of BW Publisher service is running only on server 1 (pointing to 2 different hosts), server 1 is a single point of failure and what process should be implemented for fail over (so that server 2 can take the publishing load)?  I have checked the processes running on server 2 and do not see any running instances of BW Publisher service (which is configured and running fine on server 1).
    To summarize u2013
    (1)     What are best practices to run a BW publisher service in a BOE cluster?
    (2)     What is process to setup fail over BW Publisher service in a BOE cluster?
    (3)     Can 2 instances of BW Publisher service point to 2 different hosts? If so, what additional configuration is required   on BW and BOE servers?
Appreciate any info that you can share.  Thanks.

I have reviewed the SAP notes, and this is what is mentioned there:
There are two ways to accomplish this:
(Option 1) Install and use local SAP gateway on the Enterprise XI server and create an RFC destination to the first BW system as a publishing destination. Point the BW publishing service to the other BW system, create a RFC destination on this BW system, and reference itself as the gateway. This way, the SAP local gateway on the Enterprise XI server is pointing to one BW system and the BW publishing service is pointing to the other BW system.
    - Option 1, as per the IK install guide, is not suggested as it might make the Linux/Unix system unstable.  Hence the only option left is to review otpion 2 below.
(Option 2 ) Reference the same SAP gateway for both RFC destinations. This means the RFC destinations created on the two BW systems are referencing one SAP gateway, which is referenced in the BW publishing service.
    - This otpion can probably used however i would like to give the background again here.
When the BW publisher server was activated, the following command was issued.
    $ ./bwcepub.sh 1 -a(prog id) -g(hostname) -x(sapgw00).
This configuration done later works perfectly fine for users to publish CR to BW and BOE.
Then came the 2nd entitlement system and the following command was issued -
    $ ./bwcepub.sh 2 -a(a new prog id) -g(a new hostname) -x(sapgw00).
This action triggered the error that i have captured in this thread originally.  However the work around suggested by the SAP note 1206631 needs to be tesed (option 2 above).
Question though - if the same GW host needs to configured for the 2nd entitlement system (as per the SAP notes workaround), the command looks like this:
./bwcepub.sh -a(a new progid -g(same hostname as the first server) -x(same SAP gateway as the first server).
is this correct?  i just want to make sure that BW one BOE system can have multiple entitlement systems connected to it (in Linux).    Any help / info towards this is highly appreciated.

  • Writing UFL in C for BOE Linux

CA Forum: Migration to XI R2
I am using the BO Enterprise in Linux to generate a report which uses a custom function.I am trying to write this custom function in C UFL.Can someone please guide me on how to create a C UFL in linux so that it can be used with BOE Linux environment. Also what additional configurations are required so the UFL can be loaded by BO Enterprise Server.

I had the same problem.  Turns out that if you write a void function in your interface, it will not appear.  Simply turning your void to an int (or any return datatype), invokes the function signature to appear in the tree.

  • BI (BOE) XI R3.1 (Linux) Server Migration -  Update BOE base directory path

    Hello,
Performing a server migration using BOE XI R3.1 (from BOE XI R3.1 to same release BOE XI R3.1) on Linux Platform.
After performing a data restore, the BOE server executables could not be launched (do not start) due to different BOE base directory path in these environments.
Could someone help point me on how to edit server configuration data to correct the base path in the migrated server?

    Hi,
Thanks for the input.   Unfortunately, I don't see an option in ccm.sh to delete sia/servers..  Using serverconfig.sh, I tried to recreate the sia using option 1 - Add a Server Intelligence Agent, and this option is supposed to recreate the sia and default servers if it already exists in the database.   However, this yields same result: CMS is running with correct base path, but all servers are not launched since the server configuration path reflects the from environment, and not the current/target environment.
    Thanks again.

  • BOE Cluster issue

    Hi
We have 2 BOE servers installed standalone.
    SERVER1:
OS is Windows 2003. BO XI  3.1. We have setup SSO with Windows AD and everything is working fine.
    SERVER2:
OS is HP-UX. BO XI 3.1 is already installed standalone and want to use this for load balancing. CMS and other servers running and point to the same CMS DB as SERVER1.
We just added the SERVER2 node in SERVER1. Now they seem to be clustered. By default the cluster name reamins SERVER1. Now when people login into Infoview or Designer tools and use SERVER1 they are actually going against the cluster. When the request goes to SERVER2 it throws out an plugin error saying that the secWinAD is not found since it is HP-UX. When the request goes to SERVER1 everything works fine.
How do I auhenticate only against SERVER1 using AD and still be able to use the load balancing for other serversa?
If the authentication failes on SERVER2 is it possible to reroute the request to SERVER1? Another option I guess is to custom reinstall on HP-UX and deselect CMS and just install other servers. Will this work?
    Thanks

The AD plugin is not available on any unix/linux server. You just have to stop the CMS and then delete it from the CMC. At that point you will not have a cluster.
What type of SSO are you using (kerberos, trusted auth, etc)?

  • BOE XI 3.1 jdk version

    <h4> Hi,
Is JDK1.6 supported for BOE XI 3.1 application server?
According to platform requirements for linux  (page 7)  it seems that  Tomcat 5.5 , jdk 1.5.0_xx is supported.
Of course in the same document there's also written: </h4>
Application Server Incremental Release Support Policy
Specified application servers versions have been successfully tested by Business Objects. Incremental releases of the specified versions defined by the last number in the application server name will be supported as they are made available, but may not have been tested by Business Objects. Exceptions in support will be documented.
    JDK Version Support Policy
JDK major versions are specified to ensure the use of correct version when there are multiple choices provided
by the vendor. Business Objects tests and supports any _xx release installed with a given application server.
    <h4>
So must I assume that Tomcat 6 and jdk 1.6.0_xx is supported?
    Thanks,
    Fabbio
    </h4>
Edited by: fabbio on Sep 14, 2009 6:17 PM

With service pack 2 tomcat 6.0 is now supported but you will need to add it as 5.5 still comes packaged with the product. JDK 1.6 was not tested with tomcat per the [supported platforms for XI 3.1 SP2|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/402db6eb-845d-2c10-a38c-aafde85ec769&overridelayout=true]
If using other web/apps that support 1.6 (weblogic or websphere) then 1.6 can be used.

  • Missing jar - BOE XI3.1 SP3 IG Kit for PeopleSoft with client comp option

    Hi Team,
I have successfully installed  BOE XI 3.1 SP3 in our Linux m/c and while installing Integration Kit for PeopleSoft in Windows m/c selected with Client Computer option the Kit shown the message unable to find pscafinstall.jar from BusinessObjects_Home\Common\Java\Lib directory.
Could you please advise why this error happening, how to resolve this and the impact of this error?
    Thanks
    Balan.P

Try doing a complete install, and make sure you're running the install on all the necessary machines.   There is content to be installed on your CMS as well as your application server at least.    Is this all on a single box?   Are you sure the name of the jar you're specifying is correct?  There is a partnercafinstall.jar and a cafinstall.jar that the installer will install.

  • Business Objects Enterprise XI 4.0 / Linux / Oracle / Tomcat Web Server

    Hello Experts,
I have never done a BOBJ install before and I have some questions:
First, here is our setup: Business Objects Enterprise XI 4.0 / Linux / Oracle / Tomcat Web Server
    1.     We are being asked how big u2013 disk space- to make the server. All I can find is 14 GB for an English only install, there is no documentation on how big the databases need to be. Does anyone have any experience and can tell me how big the databases are going to be initially? I need to tell the server team how much space to put on the server.
    2.     The documentation says to have two databases or schemas, one for Central Management Server and one for the Auditing Data Store. My question around this is whether there is a preferred way to do it, separate databases or separate schemas?
    3.     The documentation does not say anything about the file system layout, do we need to create the standard SAP file system layout (i.e. /sapmnt, etc.)
Many many thanks in advance, any advice would be a greate help .. please help
    Regards,
    Sunil Patel

    Hi,
    here are some answers:
    1. Well for the Installation of the Software as itself (not the databases) i would recommend at least 30 GB. All the Reports are getting stored physically in the installation directory. This behavior is by default. Later you can move the FileStore (where the Reports, Universes, etc. are located in) to a NAS share f.e.
With Regards to the Databases i would recommend 1 GB for the CMS DB and 5 GB for the Audit DB. It depends on how you Audit your System. If you audit more actions, more information in the Audit DB will be stored.
    2. 2 Schemas on one DB is fine
    3. Usually you run a BOE installation on UNIX/LINUX under an installation user. BOE will be installed into his Home Directory.
    Regards
    -Seb.

  • Can't safe CR-File on BOE (InputFileRepository)

    Hi,
    i'm using BOE XI 3.1 for Linux and CR2008 on a Windows-machine.
If i create a Report and wanna safe it to my Enterprise-Server via Crystal Reports, i can logon the server but while safing-process i get the error-msg "InputFileRepository server isn't running..".
So i checked the server-componente via CMC..and the InputFileRepository-Server IS running.
The finale thing i did was importing the report via CMC..that worked.
    So...why was the error-message occured?
Maybe someone else got such a problem.
    THX
    Oliver Dworschak

Does it happen every time you try to save a report from the designer into the enterprise.
If so, you might want to check if the firewall is blocking the input repository port.
