QM costs in Procurement

Hi,
We want to capture  QM costs in Procurement.
Can anybody tell me how to configure this? We created QM order but not capturing the costs.
Thanks,
Venkat

Hii,
QM cost in procurement means ur cost of poor quality of GR material, then you can map this into two area ur appraisal & Non conformity cost.
For appraisal cost,
1) Create an activity Type - Labour hours
2) Create a work center and attach the activity type in this
3) Attach this workcenter in the inspection plan
4) Create a QM order in QK01,
5) Put the relevenet datas as inspection type, material, cost center, order type , cost center, profit center
6) execute and assign the orders to the material
7) Do the result recording and save,. you wil get a pop for recording the activity type
For non conformity costs
1) Create a notification after defect recording
2) create an order for notification QN01,
3) Also maintain in config SPRO> QM> Quality Notifications> Notification processing > Define costing Parameter > Account assignment for QM orders> maintain plant, notification type, order type, (cost center if needed)
3) Record the activities using KB21N

  • Capture cost of procured materials in a third party sales order scenario

    Dear Experts,
I'm developing a third party sales order solution to my company following the recommended third party scenario by SAP.
Everything is working fine from creation of sales order, automatic creation of purchase requisition, create purchase order using the purchase requisition ect...
The problem I have is the in the Sales order, the cost of the material is not getting captured correctly. The condition maintained in the sales order is VPRS and it is deriving the material cost from the material master record. Ideally it should be deriving the material cost from the invoiced value or else from the purchase order(which is the actual amount we are spending to buy the items). Deriving the cost from material master depicts an incorrect profit in the sales order.
Can someone please advice me how to derive the cost(to be shown in the sales order under VPRS condition)from the invoice or the purchase requisition and Not from the material master.
I'll be grateful if you can describe in a step by step proceedure.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Lakshmipathi
    Thanks alot for your response.
As u mentioned, at the point of sales order creation the price does gets picked up from the Material Master.
But during Billing, it does NOT get updated to reflect the purchase order price. If that happens, then its perfect.
I did a complete testing cycle and the material master price remains unchanged throught the process upto billing.
Is there any special parameter that I should maintain in VPRS condition for this to happen?
Anyway thanks again for ur reply, appreciate it alot. Let me know your views on this.
As u advise I'll post it on the sales forum as well.
    Regards,
    Randika

  • Procurement costs in the optimizer

    HI all,
In my optimization run, the procurement costs are not being considered. I updated the procurement costs in the transportation lane and updated the cost profile. Do anyone know if I have to do any other configuration with this cost?
    thanks a lot and regards,
    Luiz Manssur

    Hi Luiz Manssur,
You can define cost function in the Procurement tab of APO master data maintenance(mat1).
Cost functions are used by optimization-based planning in Supply Network Planning (SNP), to calculate the costs of procuring, producing, and transporting varying quantities of products. The following types of cost function are available:
The cost function in the location product master defines the cost of procurement.
The cost function in the production process model (PPM) or in the production data structure (PDS) defines the costs of production.
The cost function in the master data of the transportation lane defines the transportation costs.

  • We want to post actual cost through statistical WBS elements.

when we do the posting on Costcenter assigned to a Statistical WBS element (2nd level), I was in the opinion that, the actual cost posted on the Costcenter of statistical WBS (2nd level) will reflect to the top WBS element (which is non-statistical in 1st level).
But, I cannot able to see the actual cost in the 1st level WBS which also a Billing element (with this, finally we want to  do the Resource Related Billing).
So expalin me how to bring actual cost posted on the costcenter of a Statistical WBS, to top WBS element which is non-statistical.

U can book the actual cost from Procurement Cycle or by direct Invoice posting using FI transaction.
    Procurement Cycle:
When you create PR or PO user Account Assignment Q or P and maintain WBS element. When u do GR or service entry actual cost is captured on the Project (WBS element).
    Using FI Transaction:
When there is no PO and to book the cost u can use  F-43  to post actual cost (via Invoice) and mention WBS element.
U can check the Actual Cost using Line item report CJI3 or S_ALR_87013532.

  • Product costing issues

1)what is different bitwen with quantity structureand with out quantity structure?
2)what is valvated stocks and non valvated stocks?
3)what is the need of cost component structure , how many segments can be define in cost component structure?
4)how we are going to do work ing progress in product cost
    5) what are the status in order, types of order?

    Dear Pradeep,
1.Material Is Costed with Quantity Structure
This indicator determines whether the material is costed using costing with or without a quantity
    structure.
This setting can be found in Costing1 view in the material master.
    Use
If you usually cost materials using costing with quantity structure, turn on this indicator.
If you usually cost materials using costing without quantity structure, do not turn on this indicator.
You can change the indicator in the material master record at a later time.
    Procedure
If you always cost your materials (including raw materials) using costing with quantity structure, you
should turn on this indicator. This improves performance, because the system does not search in vain
for existing cost estimates without a quantity structure for every material when it explodes the BOM.
Therefore, only turn on this indicator if you normally cost the materials using costing without quantity
    structure.
Regardless of the setting, you can cost a single material with or without quantity structure. However,
you should bear in mind that this setting is always used in the costing run and in mixed costing
    (creating procurement alternatives).
CK11N and CK40N is used for costing material with quantity structure.
KKPAN is used for creating material cost estimate without quantity structure.
2.Valuated stock is the stock of the materials maintained in value basis,it may be under Restricted use
    or non-restricted use .
    Nonvaluated materials (UNBW)
Nonvaluated materials are managed on a quantity basis, but not by value.
5.status in a production order are for Eg,
    REL  Released
    PCNF Partially confirmed
    PRC  Pre-costed
BCRQ Order to be handled in b
    GMPS Goods movement posted
    MANC Mat.availability not che
    PDLV Partially delivered
    SETC Settlement rule created
So after performing each business funtion the status of the production order changes.

  • Cost estimate that disregards Spec Prc Keys

We would like to do some test costing using Planned Price 1, 2, 3 to hold "what if" values.
Issue is that if a MRP Special procurement Key or Cost Special Procurement Key exits, the cost estimate follows that rule. (Of Course)
Is there a way to create Cost estimate config that ignores SPK (except 30 for subcontract) and then follows these rules:
    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated
    thanks
    Althea

    Hi.
The idea of the SPK in the costing view is don't consider the MRP SPK in the costing run, so PP boys have what they need to their SFC and planning purposes and costing boys have what they need in their standard cost.
    Now, I dont understand something:
    - you have SPK in the costing view ?
    - You want to have this alternative strategy in other version of your cost estimate ?
+ If you want to select the cost like a external procurement process, you can create a SPK like this, and set in the costing view
When you run CK11N, the system trigger the flow you define for materials. In my example, my material is InHouse production but in CK11N i fill the cost with a user exit 9999.
    About your question>
Is there a way to create Cost estimate config that ignores SPK (except 30 for subcontract) and then follows these rules:
Im Afraid not. In case of SPK 30 i guess you mean in the MRP view, you must set the Costing view blank or 30.
Just one more stuff, keep in mind the efect in the Cost Component Split in your standard cost.
    Arturo.

  • Actual Cost Posting Into Project

    Hi,
I need clarification about actual cost flow into Projects in a typical customer project scenario. The business process is as follows. Projects include engineering, procurement & manufacturing of equirpments. ROH items are procured from external vendors & issued to HALB / FERT for in-house manufacturing. Purchase orders are being created w.r.t. WBSElements & same for production orders also. Please suggest me what will be flow of actual cost posting into WBSElement in this process. Is there any configuration required for this.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Jimmy

<b>ROH items are procured from external vendors & issued to HALB / FERT for in-house manufacturing</b>
You have to use the MM Purchase order functionality, make GR to inventory and issue to the production orders.
<b>Purchase orders are being created w.r.t. WBSElements & same for production orders also.</b>
Ideally you may be better off in recieving, <b>storing</b> and issuing to WBS or production orders
<b>Please suggest me what will be flow of actual cost posting into WBSElement in this process.</b>
You can create WBS for capturing all engineering costs. Procure materials and debit WBs for actual consumption. Create production orders for manufacturing equipments and settle them to the WBS elements.
Is there any configuration required for this.
In order to settle the production orders to WBS, the settlement profile assigned to the order type shall permit WBS elements,

  • G/L Account assignment - Planned delivery cost

    Hi,
Is it possible via customizing to determine an other G/L Account for a planned delivery cost condition?
Currently when I want to post the IR I can see two lines for the PO item. One for the cost of the material and one for the delivery cost. However both are having the same G/L Account.
This planned delivery cost has an other transaction key assigned in the pricing schema and account determination for this key is setup in OBYC (automatic postings). So I supposed the system will use an other account but that's not the case.
In case that's not possible. Can I give the condition type an other condition category to obtain this result? The cost of material and the cost of delivery should both go into separeted accounts.
Thanks in advance for your replies!
    Regards,
    Steven

    Hi,
Freight clearing (FR1), provision for freight charges (FR2)-These transactions are used to post delivery costs (incidental procurement costs) in the case of goods receipts against purchase orders and incoming invoices. Which transaction is used for which delivery costs depends on the condition types defined in the purchase order.
Or you can create Z condition type and for same you can assign different GL in OBYC which system trigger during GR to post the value in to different GL

  • Procurement tools

    Hi
For one client, (having five companies), they require only e-procurement software (i.e., from requisition to purchase order only).  At present they are doing manual process from one central purchasing orgn.
Can anybody inform where and how we can get and at what costs these procurement tools are available.
Pl suggest some procurement softwares if you know, at the earliest.
    Thanks

Re "Balanced Scorecard" - the current version, OBI EE/SE1 10.1.3.4.1, has no balanced scorecard. The product disposition roadmap I have seen presented by oracle for the upcoming OBI 11g releas includes OBI Scorecard 11g which is a mix of functions from existing products i) Oracle Scorecard ii) Peoplesoft Scorecard iii) Hyperion Performance Scorecard.

  • Costing BOM and Mixed Costing

A product which is manufactured in-house has more than one production version.  Each production version has its own BOM and Recipe.  To calculate a blended standard cost, we will use mixed costing functionality and assign ratio to each production version.  However we want to copy the BOM usage 1 (production) to BOM usage 6 (costing) and make changes only for costing purpose.
Hence each production version will have a BOM for production and equivalent BOM for Costing as follows:
    Production Version/Procurement alternative
    BOM for Production
    BOM for Costing
    1
    Usage 1 / Alternative 1
    Usage 6 / Alternative 1
    2
    Usage 1 / Alternative 2
    Usage 6 / Alternative 2
If a process order is created with Usage 1 /Alternative 1, how does the system know to compare actual cost with procurement alternative with Usage 6 / Alternative 1 for the purpose of variance calculation?
    Thank you,
    Siva

    Hi
    Welcome to SDN
You dont have  option to specify the Valuation type in BOM i.e. in the BOM of B, you can only specify A as the Input material... You cant specify C1 or C2
Hence, as a result, costing uses only the average price of C1 and C2 which is maintained in the Mat Master as a PLanned price
MIxed Costing as well as Split Valuation for Material B makes no sense in this case....
If you still want to have Mixed Costing & Splt Valuation in this case - You need to create one more material for Mat A i.e. Separate Mat codes for C1 and C2.. however, it will have its own challenges during MRP as to which material should be ordered, etc

    Hello,
In addition to Pankaj singh settings u need to do the below steps
If you require clearing between the customer and vendor, the following requirements must be met:
The customer number must have been entered in the corresponding vendor master record.
The vendor number must have been entered in the corresponding customer master record.
The fields "Clrg with vend." or "Clrg with cust." must have been selected in both master records.

  • Including down payment made to vendor in the internal order

    Hi all
    My requirement is like this.
We use IM and IO(Capex orders) for procuring and capitalising assets. We are able to assign all the costs of procuring assets (both APC and incidental expenses to the internal order). We use purchase orders and assign the internal order while raising purchase order.
Sometimes we do make Down payments(advances) without raising purchase orders. My question is how to include this down payment made in the internal order. We cannot assign any internal order while making the down payment. But, can we include this down payment made to vendor in the internal order(commitment) while making down payment or after that.
FYI:I came to know that there is some functionality in Controlling (Project systems) where we can assign the down payment made to the internal order after making payment. But, i do not know how to do that.
    Pls somebody reply me.
Thank you very much in advance.

  • Moving avergae price updation in material master for project stock

    Dear All,
My query is pertaining to updation of MAP( moving average price) for project specific procurement ( as project stock) for valuated project stock.
As  definelty the cost of procurement gets consumed by project .but i want to know does the project stock procurement still updates the moving avergae price or not.
Ex:-Suppose MAP in material master is 10 USD ( with qty 1)and i procure the same material ( qty 1)for project with account assignment Q for 9 USD . now will the MAP in material master becomes 9.5 USD or it remains 10 usd.?
    Please reply urgently
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
If your Project Stock is valuated, then, the valuation data for it is stored in a different table: QBEW.
The normal, anonymus warehouse stock (the unrestricted use stock which is not assigned to any project or to any sales order) has its valuation data stored in MBEW.
The "Accounting 1" view in the Material Master MM03 ONLY displays the data of MBEW.
In the material master you will never see the valuation data of the valuated project stock (table QBEW) or the valuated sales order stock (valuation indicator "M" - table EBEW).
The valuation data for the tables QBEW and EBEW can be seen in SE16 or in the transaction MBBS.
Also note that these valuated special stocks are managed independently of the normal stock. If, for example, you change the Moving Average Price of your normal stock in MBEW, this will not have any influence on your project stock, as the data is under a totally diferent table QBEW.
    I hope this helps you,
    Esther.

  • Abt account determination

I want to know how does the automatic account determination takes place in MIRO,everytime how system picks
    Vendor account(credit)
    GR/IR(DEBIT)
In MIGO it depends on movement type and all other things,
but in MIRO there is no mvt type.
    pls let me know asap

    Unplanned delivery costs (UPF)
Unplanned delivery costs are delivery costs (incidental procurement
costs) that were not planned in a purchase order (e.g. freight,
customs duty). In the SAP posting transaction in Logistics Invoice
Verification, instead of distributing these unplanned delivery costs
among all invoice items as hitherto, you have the option of posting
them to a special account. A separate tax code can be used for this
    account.
If the above setting is not done and you have std price than it will post to the price diff account and fi you hae MAP then based it will post the mateiral account
