QMaster doesn't run automatically?

Trying to figure this out... this just started a little while ago where I would have to seemingly run QMaster manually before compressing; otherwise, I would get "Unable to connect to background process"... it wasn't always this way, how do I get Qmaster to run automatically again?

what's odd, is i put an echo in the /etc/rc.d/network script and it's running the exact same command i'm running from the commandline
dhcpcd eth0
When it gets run from the rc.d script it times out, when i run it manually from the commanline it works fine.
When run from the script, this is the output:
Oct 19 10:30:56 localhost dhcpcd[1174]: version 5.2.12 starting

Oct 19 10:30:58 localhost dhcpcd[1174]: eth0: broadcasting for a lease
Oct 19 10:31:26 localhost dhcpcd[1174]: timed out

  • Windows Services doesn't running automatically

    Hi you all,
Every I shutdown or restart my Mac the windows service is doesn't runn & I should starting it manually.
How to configure this services in order running automatically?

I have the same problem. My PPC Xserve is running 10.4.7 and is configured as OD master and PDC. The Windows Service start manually in the Service Admin and changes /etc/hostconfig to set "SMBSERVER=-YES-", but doesn't restart automatically on reboot.
I found one workaround. There are two launchd items in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons: smbd.plist and nmbd.plist. You can enable them by:
    cd /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
    sudo launchctl load -w smbd.plist
    sudo launchctl load -w nmbd.plist
and on restart, Windows file sharing will start automatically. The downside is that it will still be grayed out in the Service Admin.

  • DHCP doesn't run automatically

    Hello,
Sorry for such a simple question.  I'm trying to install Arch on my laptop, and for starters I'm just trying to get ethernet to work.
When I ping a site I get the unknown host error.  After I manually run "dhcpcd eth0", I'm able to connect to the internet.  I have configured the network section of my /etc/rc.conf exactly like what is shown for DHCP connections.  Are there any other potential points of failure?  Is blanking the address / netmask / gateway enough to trigger DHCP, or is there something else I need to do?
    HOSTNAME=raynor
    interface=eth0

  • Real-Time Application doesn't run; source code works fine

The short version is I'm programming a cRIO and apparently the RT code isn't running after being deployed and I can't figure out why. This is further complicated that I'm doing all this remotely and I don't have direct access to the unit since I'm 500 miles away. I'm working through a couple of other guys who know some LabVIEW, but neither works at the site so they have to explicitely travel out there every time I have a bright idea.
I was out there a few weeks ago. During this time I created a simple cRIO code, since I'm new to cRIO, that allowed the user to move a control and change a graph. It worked fine, but I should note it did not have an FPGA component. After that I worked on the real code, which reads some sensors, displays the results on a UI and logs the results. This did have FPGA. I used it in the LabVIEW environment and it worked fine, but I ran out of time before I could complete a release version and deploy the RT as a compiled application. I sent them the release version later, my contact deployed it but got network stream errors when running the UI.
After hours of looking at network problems and sending over debug versions, I tried creating a log on the RT level so I could see what was going on. The log doesn't even open, even if it's the first command in the code. I pored through the forums and found http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/cRIO-Troubleshooting-creation-and-deployment-of-startup/td-p/1956475... which took me in a new direction.
I had my contact use the RT debug console and when he pulls up the RT front panel, it shows a broken run arrow. He clicks it and nothing happens -- no running, no bug list. If he pulls up the bug list manually, it's empty. Again the RT works fine if you run it through LabVIEW and not as a compiled real-time application. He also noticed that the Open FPGA VI was grayed out on the block diagram. No other icons are.
So the problem appears to be that the compiled RT application is getting some kind of error but not telling me what it is, and it seems to be related to opening the FPGA. I've recompiled the FPGA and RT. I've had him recompile the RT himself, but not the FPGA because it would take hours. He's downloading everything correctly to the cRIO. The RT is set to run automatically. He's rebooting the cRIO every time he deploys the RT. They have LabVIEW on a computer there but it doesn't have the right drivers to run the code from the LV environment. I'm resisting having them install the dirvers because downloading big files is complicated there due to security restrictions and a lousy network connection at a remote site. Besides that doesn't solve the problem of the RT executable not running the same as the source code, which according to the thread above appears to be a thing.
The latest thing I'm trying is that I sent him instructions for how to build a source distribution from the project I sent and try deploying that to the cRIO. Even if that works I'm not sure that's an acceptable solution because I assume running the VI rather than the EXE is slower, and they need speed on this project.
I simply have no idea where to go from here. I probably need to get direct acess to the cRIO and I might be able to convince them to ship it to me so I can figure this out, but I'm not sure where I'd even start other than the standard voodoo debugging of "try stuff at random until something works". I'm open to suggestions if anyone has managed to solve this before.
Code snippet of the first part of the project is attached, though I'm not sure how much good it will do. I'm really stumped and the client is getting frustrated with how much of the budget is going to fix this.

Have you checked the cRIO error log? Usually I'd access it through the LabVIEW project (right-click on the target, don't remember the exact menu options and I don't have the RT toolkit installed on this machine to check), but it must be stored somewhere on the cRIO as well, although I don't know if it's in a human-readable format.
Which cRIO are you using? What exactly do you mean by "debug console"? (This may be related to the cRIO - the newer ones have video out, although I don't know if that's what you're referring to.) With a broken run arrow, you won't get an error list unless you're running in the development environment.
Have you confirmed that the software installed on the cRIO matches the version you're using for development, including patch level? Get someone to connect to the cRIO with Measurement and Automation Explorer, and get a list of the software installed on the cRIO.
Sounds like the ability to connect with a remote debugger would be helpful here, if you can get the right drivers installed on the machine with LabVIEW that's connected to the cRIO. Make sure all driver versions match what you're using. Any chance you could then do a remote desktop connection from your work site to the remote LabVIEW machine?

  • CHUD enabler Leopard - How can I get it to run automatically?

    Hello everyone.
My question is whether I can get CHUD Enabler leopard to run automatically at startup under 10.5.8. Using login items, I have set it to open automatically, but it doesn't actually run as it does under 10.4.11 (script appears at desktop, but I have to hit the "run" button). Thanks.

Save it as an application, turning off the option to show the startup screen.

On the laptop try signing out of the iTunes Store, full shutdown and restart computer from cold.  Once running and connected to the internet, launch iTunes, sign-in to iTunes Store and start iTunes Match - allow the 3-step process to complete.
In the Songs view enable the iCloud Download and iCloud Status fields and examine the status of the CD songs, they should be matched or uploaded - if not check the quality of the Song files, pending results re-rip at 320 kbit AAC and repeat the steps above.

  • What's the possible reason to cause dbcc running automatically?

I have a sp which truncates a large table(large 3G) and insert data into the table again(rebuild data for this table). When I run it on a production, it is fine.
but when I run it on a dev, it is very slow. After check the info in detail, I found there are lot of dbcc running during the sp running time.
when running the sp, got output like frequently:
    09:35:58.865
    DBMS
mysyb -- SQL Text: exec myproc ...
    09:35:58.896
    DBMS
mysyb -- DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role.
    09:35:58.912
    DBMS
mysyb -- DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role.
    09:36:00.599
    DBMS
mysyb -- DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role.
Not sure why. Before running the sp, somebody try to partition this table and then remove the partition. not sure if this is the reason.
So how to find out the reason for this dbcc? it is running automatically. If dbcc checktable or dbcc reindex will resolve this problem?

I can't think of any obvious way to trigger a dbcc on those actions, aside from rewriting sp_extendsegment, etc. to include a dbcc command.
    A couple more possible approaches:
    1)  If the dbcc is one that doesn't normally send output to the client except for the "dbcc exection complete" message, then turning on switch 3605 will direct the output to the errorlog and possibly allowing us to figure out which dbcc command(s) are being run, which may help figure out why and how they are being run.   ("undocumented" DBCCs like page, usedextents, etc. don't send output to the client by default)  3605 won't  help if the dbcc is one that normally sends output to the client (checkdb, checkindex etc.), nothing additional will be sent to the ASE errorlog.
    set switch on 3605
    go
    execute <yourprocedure>
    go
    2) You might run your procedure under the stored procedure debugger utility sqldbgr and step through it while watching the output to see what statements trigger the dbcc message.

  • Apps run automatically - turn off? How to close app w/out Close option?

I am running two apps I want to close and only run when I choose them.
One (The Missing Sync) at least has a Close option, which works. So I can at least get that out of my running apps list.
The other (Funambol Sync) doesn't even have a Close option!
When I do a battery pull, BOTH run automatically so they're back in memory!
    1) How do I control which apps run automatically after a battery pull?  If I can keep them from re-running, at least I can control my memory by doing a battery pull.
    2) Any ideas on how to close Funambol Sync or any other app that has no "Close" option on its menu? I've put in a messsage to those guys but no answer so far.

I have been told that BB does not have a central place where all auto-run apps are listed/controlled.
Apparently each app does its own specification re auto-running, and so must be controlled one-by-one.
For at least one of these (Funambol Sync), the only option finally available was to just delete it, which is what I did. As long as the other one "plays nice", it can stay!

  • How can get dhcpcd run automatically?[SOLVED]

    Hello!
I've installed Arch and the connection to Internet (wired) was ok. Then I installed Ubuntu in the second partition and in the auto-configuration I changed the hostname. Then the network in Arch started to fail. The output from a ping was "Network is unreachable", then I changed the hostname in both rc.conf and hosts. This doesn't fixed the problem. So I tried with a lot of options with the same result, till I tried running the
    # dhcpcd eth0
command, then I tried the ping. The begginers manual said that if that worked , as it was, I must adjust my /etc/rc.conf as described for dynamic IP. I do it, but in the next reboot the problem was the same, and also dhcpcd was the solution... is there a way from getting dhcpcd command running automatically in each boot?
    Thank you for your help
