Qtp addins not working

Hi,
I’m an using QTP11 for automation of an web based application which is developed in Java language and using jqwidgets and Jquery for many controls of the application.
It is a grid and QTP is not able to identify the object. I have understood that I need to have “Web Extensibility Accelerator”. But somehow I don’t see that addin in in web2AddinSetup. can you please support me to add that addin in QTP so that it can identify the objects of an aplication.

Auto updates for VSTO addin not working that was installed using MSI

I am not a .NET guy so this might be naïve question.
We have developed an MS Excel VSTO add-in using Click-Once (VB .NET). Due to some business requirements, We packaged that add-in as MSI.
DEVENV excel-addin.sln /Project AddinSetUp\AddinSetUp.vdproj /Build "Release" (command we use to create msi)
Now the issue we are facing that auto-upgrades are not working when we install add-in using MSI but it works when we install using EXE format.
Are we missing something during build?
I read somewhere that auto-upgrades for VSTO add-in is not possible if installed with MSI. is it the case?

PDFmaker addin not working in PowerPoint 2010

I am running Windows 8.1 and recently upgraded to Acrobat XI. The pdfmaker addin works fine in Word 2010 but not in PowerPoint. It is shown but as disabled. When I try to enable it, it shows as present but Unloaded:
Clicking OK just returns it as still disabled
The dll file is in the correct location
Restarting ppt has no effect
Any help gratefully received

And then Acrobat solved the problem for me. I don't normally open Acrobat directly but only by clicking a pdf. But I've just opened the application itself and it told me that the PDF Maker addin was disabled in one or more Office applications and would I like it fixed.

MS word addins not working

Error message:
MS word experienced a serious problem with the pdf create 8 word addin (nuance pdf product addin). if you have seen this message multiple times. you should disable this addin and check to see if an update is available. do you want to disabele this add-in?

Based on the description, it seems the error occurs when you start Word with a 3rd-party add-in.
Please try to start Word in Safe Mode first, check if the issue persists without the add-in:
Press Win + R, type "winword.exe /safe" in the blank box.
If Word runs fine in Safe Mode, we may suspect the add-in itself is damaged, we can try to re-install the add-in.
If the issue persists, since the add-ins is not a Microsoft product, we need to contact the developer of this add-in for further assistance.

Addin does not work under Windows 2003

Hello.
I have a few Excel addins with forms and other objects that work fine on my desktop (Windows XP), where I have OO4O installed. Recently a user needed to start using these addins and I installed OO4O on a server using Windows 2003. The user (Windows XP also) connects to the server using Remote Desktop Connection. However when he uses the addins they do not work. The connection to the database is fine, I know that because otherwise some forms would not appear. The problem is when the user presses the first combobox of each form no data appears. If I enter just some text on that combobox, which enables a second combobox, then this second combobox works fine, I can see the database data. When the form allows me to press a button that runs a query I receive the message “Not all variables bound”.
If anybody can help I would very much appreciated.

It should be a hardware problem if you are able to run the camera perfectly. Are you using a 64- or 32-bit OS?

Microsoft Excel 2013 add-in not working after update

We are an organization with over 200 users and are currently using Microsoft Office 2013 (Click-to-run install via Office 365 portal), we have noticed that in Excel when we apply the monthly Office update, the add-in (e.g. Analysis Toolpak) would stop working
with the following error message displayed.
I tried updating from 15.0.4631.1004 to 15.0.4641.1003,
15.0.4641.1003 to 15.0.4649.1004, they all gave the same results.
I have checked the captioned file path and it is indeed missing, I think the update mechanism messed up the add-in somehow, a full re-install would fix it as quick or online repair is not doing the trick. This is not the only add-in it is affecting
as there are some 3rd party add-ins are affected as well.
Please advise how we can fix this without needing to re-install Microsoft Office. Thank you!

I don't have 365 or C2R so I can't address your main question, so just a few thoughts which may not be applicable in your setup.
Check the addin manager to see if your addins are listed and ticked. If listed (ticked or not) check the registry to see where the location is written, if ticked look here
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Excel\Options
and look for keys named OPENx, where x is the order number the addin is loaded
if not "ticked" instead of \Options look in \Add-in-Manager
With a VBA macro or in the VBE's immediate window return
Application.LibraryPath
Assuming you found a listing in the registry do the paths match, if not look in the .LibraryPath to see if the addins got unloaded there into the subfolder \Analysis
If you find the file(s) try un-installing and reinstalling the addins, but browse to the actual folder don't simply tick. If you can't find the files, copy them (from a different system) to the folder indicated by .LibraryPath. In the addin manager uninstall
them if installed, close the manager, open it again and the addins should be listed, tick to re-install.
You say your other addins don't work, I wonder if some mixup has occurred with what Excel thinks is the default path, but note for other addins the default addins path is returned by app.UserLibraryPath
Are you using a Chinese system?

Appears like it never really checked with the account.

suggestions to try to re-install and set it up from scratch again. Not working...tried that.

I have the same problem .... I used it for a while without any problems. From a few days is this no longer works for linkedin...

New rule is not working from 'ojaudit' though I use loadSet="Audit"

When customizing new rules in audit framework using the Jdev Extensions API, I used the below content in extension.xml file.

The new rules created are executing only when I audit from Jdev UI. But these are not executing when I use this new rule in 'ojaudit' at command line.
How can we achieve this?
Is there anything to modify in my extension.xml file?
There is a case where it works both from UI and ojaudit, but it is not working always. That is in my case just observer the above code:
If I dont use loadSet="Audit" in <addin> tag, this rule executes only in UI when auditing but it wont execute when I use 'ojaudit' at command line. And when I use the attribtue loadSet="Audit", only a few times it is executing for 'ojaudit' at cmd line.
Is this inconsistent a bug?
And could you suggest me how the ojaudit works?
And could you point out any documentation of how the ojaudit works? I mean the flow ?

Javascript functions to control QuickTime not working in Firefox

I am using the provided Javascript functions to control QuickTime (7.6.2); however, the functions are not working in Firefox (3.0.11), whereas they are working in Safari (4.0.1).
I create a QuickTime Player, as follows:

The Music.mp3 file starts playing in both Safari and Firefox; however, the Javascript functions to control that playing work only in Safari, not in Firefox.
Examples of QuickTime functions that work in Safari, but not in Firefox:
document.qtp.Stop();
document.embeds[0].GetRate();
document.embeds["qtp"].GetTime();
document.embeds["qtpID"].GetQuickTimeVersion();
The GetRate and GetTime functions always return a "0" in Firefox, the Stop command is ineffectual in Firefox, and the GetQuickTimeVersion function aborts the Javascript code in Firefox.
Any ideas what's happening?

Dave, what you have done is very similar to what I have done, with the following exceptions:
1. I'm using the regular HTML version of QT_WriteOBJECT rather than the XHTML version.
2. My first parameter is an .mp3 file rather than a .mov poster in combination with an 'href'.
3. I'm not using some of your parameters, such as, 'target', 'targetcache', 'scale', 'href', and 'name'.
4. Instead of 'name', I'm using --- 'obj#id', 'qtp', 'emb#name', 'qtp' --- which allows me to then reference the QuickTime functions as --- document.qtp.Play(); document.qtp.Stop(); --- etc.
5. I'm not creating HTML buttons as player controls; rather I am using my javascript program to detect and control the player operation with functions such as --- document.qtp.GetRate(); document.qtp.GetTime(); document.qtp.GetDuration(); document.qtp.SetVolume(); document.qtp.SetMute(); document.qtp.Play(); document.qtp.Rewind(); document.qtp.Stop() --- etc.
6. I change my .mp3 files using --- document.qtp.SetURL();
7. All my javascript is contained in an iWeb HTML snippet using an iframe.
Essentially, I've created a jukebox with button images of album covers that can be visually scrolled and then clicked to play an album via the HTML onClick, onMouseOver, and onMouseOut functions.
This all works without a hitch in Safari; however, in FF, NN, and Opera, it only works if the iframe is completely visible on the screen. It can't be scrolled offpage, and the HTML album cover buttons in the iframe cannot be dimensionless, hidden, or blocked from view.
I really think it's the iframe that is causing this behavior in all the browsers (except Safari).
BTW, as an aside, I don't have a Windows machine, but no one I know using IE on a PC has been able to get my QuickTime Player working. I think it's because, when I want to collapse an album cover, I set its width to '1px' ('0px' works only in Safari), but I think IE may require a minimum width of '2px'. I have not tried changing my image widths to '2px' yet.

QTP doesn't work with custom SparkList ItemRenderer

I am trying to support our QA department which uses QTP for automation testing. QTP is failing miserably at recognizing custom item renderers for Spark List (and DataGroup too). There is nothing special going on in the custom item renderer. There is a basic Group layout with some labels and buttons. I would like to be able to click on a button inside the item renderer; but, QTP sees the whole item renderer as a SparkListLabel. QTP is not able to recognize anything inside the item renderer.
I know there are custom automation delegates that need to be created for some components; but this is basic layout inside an ItemRenderer. I would expect that to work with out creating custom automation classes to support it.

If this total is negative, no aggregation occurs, and the values on the subordinate financial statement items are set to zero.
·         Aggregation on the hierarchy node of 0GLACCEXT is only performed if the balance is negative (2):
The exception aggregation is performed in the same way as for case 1, except that the +/- signs of the balance are reversed.

PowerPoint add-in is not working when installed for All Users using msi installer.

Hi All,
I have created PowerPoint add-in using c#-vsto. I have created msi installer to install this add-in with following two options:
1. Just me
2. Everyone
However, add-in is not working properly (Events and custom task panes are not working).
I have created registry key as below
1. for "Everyone" : HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins\MyAdd-in
2. for Just me : HKPU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins\MyAdd-in
But when I set InstallAllUsersVisible property to False (When add-in is installed only for current user ), then add-in works fine for current user.
Please let me know if anything is missing!!!

EPM Report/Input template & functions not working

Hello Experts,
We are working on SAP BPC 10 NW SP 04, and EPM Addin SP 16.
We have an input template/report where- in rows we have 3 dimensions and 3 in columns. In template we have used EPMDimensionoverride function for row and columns both, also extensively used EPMDimensionPropertyValues for filters of other dimensions.
We are facing different types of problems with this report:
Scenario1 – The template does not gets opened. We have “Refresh while opening the sheet” option in use. While opening this template, the refresh doesn’t happen and it says “Process in progress.Please wait”. And the Excel is hanged out totally.
Scenario 2 – In the filter part where we have used EPMDimensionPropertyValues functions. Sometimes it shows the dropdown list and sometimes not. IF we select any member in the filter, the other dropdown’s become disabled, but after refresh they are working. If the property values exceed 255 limit, we specify a range in the EPMDimensionPropertyValues function. But sometimes this is also not working. If we specify range it doesn’t populate the data also plus the dropdown created is blank. One point noticed was that when the sheet is protected it displays some dropdown lists, but when we unprotect the sheet all the dropdown’s are listed. We are facing quite weird behavior while using this function.
Research a lot on this, Tried processing all dimensions, took them offline then online, Log out from the sessions and then re- logged in. Run the program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE, but no luck!
I copied the same environment into new. and executed the template. There it is working fine! except the EPMDimensionPropertyValues function. Dont know what the exact cause is???

Based on your description it's not possible to help you... You have some complex template with a lot of formulas. And you have issues. Try to isolate the issue on some simple template and provide the screenshot with the formulas explanation.

Not work tablet UI on Prestigio 5080 PRO tablet

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.
