PDFmaker addin not working in PowerPoint 2010

I am running Windows 8.1 and  recently upgraded to Acrobat XI.  The pdfmaker addin works fine in Word 2010 but not in PowerPoint.  It is shown but as disabled. When I try to enable it, it shows as present but Unloaded:
Clicking OK just returns it as still disabled
The dll file is in the correct location
Restarting ppt has no effect
Any help gratefully received
Duncan

And then Acrobat solved the problem for me.  I don't normally open Acrobat directly but only by clicking a pdf.  But I've just opened  the application itself and it told me that the PDF Maker addin was disabled in one or more Office applications and would I like it fixed.
So thanks Acrobat!

    Hi Narasimha prasad2,
Based on the description, the context menu for the flagged contact doen't work in Outlook. I am tring to rerpoduce this issue however failed.
I suggest that you check the state of the add-in first to see wether the add-in was loaded successfully.

  • TAPIOVERRIDE not working w/Outlook 2010 64-bit & Lync 2013 64-bit

    Hi all,
I have a Win7 64-bit machine with Office 2010 Standard 64-bit and Lync 2013 64-bit. The user would like to use the Windows Dialer instead of Lync to call from his Outlook contacts. Prior to my installing Lync for him, this worked very well. However, thereafter
Lync attempts to do the calling.
There are dozens of threads out there for using the TAPIOVERRIDE registry fix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959625/en-us) to correct this issue, but it is not working for me and I assume it's due to my combination of application versions. I've confirmed
both approaches (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\... -vs- HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\...) fail to work even after rebooting entirely - for the record, I would assume the "32-bit approach" is what I need.
Has anyone gotten the TAPIOVERRIDE fix to work with the aforementioned software versions? Can anyone else make a recommendation on a TAPI add-in for Outlook which would inherently override Lync's calling functionality?
    Thanks!

    Aaron0001,
Good news.  As an Office365 subscriber, I was able to open a service ticket on this issue, and I believe we've got a solution.  As it turns out, these Call Integration/TAPIOVERRIDE keys do work (as a precaution, I created both); however, it appears
they have to be in-place when you install Lync to have any effect.  I'm guessing that these keys may impact how Lync installs, but have no effect if Lync is already installed.
I had uninstalled Lync so that I could use Outlook with Windows dialer ... dialing functionality was restored as soon as I uninstalled Lync.  However, when I got online with the Microsoft technician he had me reinstall Lync 64bit (after the keys had
already been created) and, presto, Outlook is still using Windows dialer rather than contacting Lync to try to place the call.
I hope this is helpful to you, or to anyone else who happens upon this page with the same problem.
    All the best,
    Kevin

  • URL buttons not working in Powerpoint

    Hi
I have just created an Xcelsuis report and exported this to Powerpoint.
Now it opens up fine in Powerpoint, but my URL buttons do not work (they do not open the excel files i want, i.e. My button is URL: C:\Test\Test.xls)
When exporting to a pdf format this URL button works fine.
Please can you advise how I can get this working for my Powerpoint.
    Thanks!

When you export the SWF to your desktop or into a PPT it will not have permission to access external data by default (or call a URL).
You need to add C:\Program Files\...\PowerPoint.exe as to the list of trusted items using the Adobe Global Security Settings Manager, see the Xcelsius Release notes for more information about the Flash Player Security...

  • PDF Preview Handler Not Working in Outlook 2010

I have Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit and Outlook 2010.
Everything was working fine, until a few months ago when the PDF Preview Handler stopped working. I got the typical message that others were having with the issue with Adobe Reader 9. I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro and have also used Adobe Reader X. I have tried the little registry fix app that is supposed to fix this issue, but it states that my registry is already correct. Has anyone found a resolution for this issue with Acrobat X and Outlook 2010? As a workaround I am using the Foxit PDF Preview Handler, but I have to reinstall it everytime Adobe Reader or Acrobat is udpated as for some reason Outlook then reverts back to the PDF Preview Handler, which is not working.
    Thanks,
    Merg

Nope, using 32-bit. And I recently uninstalled Acrobat Pro completely and reinstalled it due to an issue with it not updating due to having the "Error Applying Transforms" issue. After I reinstalled, I updated it completely. I suppose I can try uninstalling and reinstalling again, but that seems like overkill.

  • Date parameter does not work in SharePoint 2010 report using SQL 2008 Server Reporting Service

    Here is the settings:
SharePoint 2010 with SQL server 2008 reporting services configured
When create a report for a SP list using SQL server report builder (3.0) the date parameter does not work.
The data parameter is set as "date and time" type and field name equals the col name in the SP list
When run the report, the whatever dates I select, the result is always the same, so the parameters do not take any effect.
    Is any step missing?
    Thanks for any advice !

    Hi ,
How did you configure you "date and time" type parameter and field name equals the col name in the SP list?
Have you tested if other type parameter worked?
Have you tried typing the date format as 20140722 in your date parameter filed before run the report?

  • PDFMaker icon not working in Acrobat Pro 8.3.1.

I am using  OS Windows XP Home and Microsoft Office 2003.
I generally use the work around of "Print". Annoying that I cannot use the PDFMaker icon in any Microsoft products. It use to work flawlessly. I keep getting the annoying message "The acrobat pdfmaker server could not be loaded". I have found solutions regarding modifying registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\AcroDist.exe"
Since I do not have a folder that specifically says Distillr, I modified the default key to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\acrodist.exe and Path to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\.
    Did not work.
Anyone out there know how to repair??? The Acrobat "Repair" procedure is really not working for me.
    Thanks.

    Gernal_USA,
I'm moving your question to the Acrobat forum, since it does not relate to the CreatePDF service.

  • Alert to group not working on Sharepoint 2010!

    Hello,
We have a SharePoint 2010 Server which on the front page we have a news list. We have migrated to 365 and since then the alerts are not working properly. We have a local SMTP server that we use to rely to 365 since SharePoint does not support TLS by itself.
The SMTP server is working because we can set up alerts on individuals and the emails are coming. The issue is with the group. I have tried several groups but still the same issue. On some groups we receive the initial email about the creation of the alert,
but no mails after that. I have checked also the Immediate Alert service and is successful. I have checked in the  mail flow on 365 and I can see the initial creation of the alert mail sent to all in the group, but the alerts on changing anything on the
list does not come into 365, so it must be a SharePoint issue which I can`t determine since the immediate alert service is running...
Can you please provide a feasible solution for this issue?
    Thank you very much.
    DOVC
Best Regards, Valentin Doru System Administrator

    Hi Valentin,
please also open a thread at o365 community, because seems this issue happened at o365.
to try, perhaps you can re-add the group also, because it may refresh the properties from the AD group to o365.
and you may check these workaround for testing:
Option 1: Use a Redirection User
created a user in Office 365. This user is licensed to use SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
In Exchange Online, create Distribution Groups, which are standard Distribution Group that allows however in Delivery Management also Senders outside of organization, as the SharePoint Sender is not part of the Exchange Org.
In Exchange Online for the User Exchange Forwarder, created Inbox Rules. The rule is checking the Subject for a keyword and as action redirect the E-Mail to the DG and deletes it right away.
repeat this for other DGs as well.
In SharePoint Online grant the user Exchange Forwarder access to the Site to access the List
Now there are two important steps:
    1)      The Alert Title needs to include the token we look for in the Exchange rule
    2)      The “Send Alerts To” needs to be our “Exchange Forwarder”
When everything is set up an Alert will be received by Exchange Forwarder and then forwarded to the DG.
Option 2: Use a custom Workflow with the Send E-Mail To Activity
In Exchange Online creat a Distribution Groups, which are standard Distribution Group that allows however in Delivery Management also Senders outside of my organization, as the SharePoint Sender is not part of the Exchange Org.
Using SharePoint Designer create a custom Workflow like the one below. In the Send E-Mail activity I specified the external SMTP Address of the DG as To-Address.
When the Workflow is executed an E-Mail is sent directly to the DG:
    Background:
When sending an Alert, SharePoint is doing a Security Trimming. So SharePoint wants to be sure the recipient of the Alert has permissions to see the List Content the Alert is about. Therefore we cannot enter an SMTP-Address for an Alert but need to specify
a Security Principal known to SharePoint.
In a Workflow we don’t need to do this kind of Security Trimming. The creator / designer of the Workflow need to take care whom to send what information.
Side note: Alerts and Workflow Send E-Mail To Activities are the only possibilities in SharePoint Online to send E-Mails. Custom solutions (Sandboxed Solutions) will not work.

I am not a .NET guy so this might be naïve question.

did you see if workflow started or not at all?
any error...as Amit asked...share the Workflow logic.
just keep in mind the steps in video are:
    Save as template "current list"
then create new lis using above template.
now create a designer workflow on your main list which automatically start on item change.

  • VIs worked in LabVIEW 2009 but do not work in LabVIEW 2010

The VIs were originally written in LV 7.1 but then compiled in LV 2009 and saved. These VIs worked fine on Windows XP machine.
Unfortunately, the XP machine was crashed and I am trying to run these VIs in LV 2010, with windows 7, 32 bit.
I have installed traditional DAQ drivers (latest version, 7.5) alongwith DAQmx (version 9.8).
We use these VI to control the vacuum valves, using PCI 6503.
To initiate we first use a VI that reset the valves and the PCI card. The name of the first vi is: portconfig.vi This vi uses port config and port write VIs. I see the error 10401 from port config vi, when I run step by step (i.e., sequence 1). However, the VI runs but not doing any actual work.
The second VI that depends on first VI, and therefore the second VI is also not working. on this VI we have buttons (representing valve) and when we click on them, the valves should shut off or open, but nothing happens in LV2010. the same VIs worked in LV2009!
PCI 6503 card is defined under devices and interfaces in MAX. It is not defined under legacy DAQ devices. When I test PCI 6503, it works.
I am attaching both the VIs (there are in QuadMain.llb). I dont know how to get the actual VI from the harddisk...
    first open portconfig.vi
    then open Control Panel.vi
there are global variables used in Control Panel.vi, there are listed in Valve Global.VI, which is in globals.LLB (second attachement).
I really appreciate if someone can convert these VIs for LV 2010.

    Jpdas06 wrote:
Yes, I am doing that. But this is holding up the experiments. So I thought an easy fix for now and then once the work load goes down i can concentrate on changing the port config.vi using DAQmx.
I would really appreciate if you or someone can provide me steps for listing PCI 6503 as both types in MAX.
    Thanks again.
You should be able to see the DAQ card in both driver interfaces DAQmx and Traditional DAQ. I just checked on one of out test fixtures. We have MAX 5.6, DAQmx 9.8 and Traditional DAQ 7.5 on Windows 7 32-bit. We use LabVIEW 2013 executables on this PC, but this really doesn't matter.
I believe the only exception, when you don't see cards in both drivers, is when the card is supported in DAQmx only. But in your case this card (PCI 6503) is supported by DAQmx and TDAQ.
I had some issues before renaming devices in Traditional DAQ. If you have more than one card, the device names not always match in both drivers. You could have one card for example as Device 2 in TDAQ and then as Dev 4 in DAQmx.
I would uninstall and install again the Traditional DAQ driver. I never added cards manually to the drivers. This should happen automatically.

  • Alert set through timer job is not working in sharepoint 2010 as expected

    Hi,
I create the standard sharepoint alerts through timer job.
in my timer job, i loop through a list and based on the user value in the alert to field i create alert for the users and the condition for the alert are only when new items are created and something changes in the below view.
all the properties are set fine. Email triggered on new items additions and on specific daily or weekly summary.
The view filteration is not working at all:(
But after the timer job ran and set the alert, if i open the alert settings on UI and without changing anything if i click ok , then the view filteration is happening and alerts are working fine.

  • Infopath form people picker not working in outlook 2010

    Hi,
I have created custom task form which has reassign feature. If the form is opened in IE, people editor control is working but in outlook account names are not resolved and dictionary also not working. There should be some work around as OOTB  approval
task form could able to do it.
So, Question is, why people picker is not working in Outlook? and how to make it work? If I store user profile in InfoPath form, people editor in outlook is working. but how to make a dynamic soap connection ?
    Thanks.

Don't mark your own post as an answer when you obviously didn't understand the question...
Dharnima mentioned it is working in IE but not working in Outlook, so it's obviously not because the
"Requested By" field is in read only otherwise it wouldn't work in IE either.
Like Navid.R mentionned, the problem is indeed when going through the "Reassign Task" button, but coming from Outlook.
I have the same problem where the people picker validator and the people directory button doesn't work, only when coming from Outlook. I do click on Reassign Task, but I am unable to valide or open the people directory with both people picker buttons, simply
    nothing happens.
I tried adding a native SharePoint Approval workflow to my list, and this one works fine. I can click the "Open Task" button in Outlook, click "Reassign Task" and then the people picker works perfectly fine.
However my custom workflow (that has default forms) does not work when prompted from Outlook.
I even tried to delete both forms and republish my workflow, so SharePoint can regenerate the forms by itself, it did generate new forms, but no luck either.

    with my mails.
I have looked at rules and I have no rules. I really need this to work because of my work.
can someone please help me ?

    Hi Baldvin,
Did you tick the 'Request a Read Receipt' option when composing a new message? Or did you select the option "Read receipt confirming the recipient viewd the message" under
    File tab > Options > Mail >
    Tracking section?
Can you confirm if the recipient clicked Yes button and agreed to send the receipt?
You can send test emails with a request for read receipt to yourself to check the result.
