Quality inpsection on Work center (with/without Material Ref.)
Dear All,
I have scenario, where I have to do the in process inspection on machine (work center) to measure various process parameters that has a direct link with product quality. it is basicallly with out material reference.
I tried using in process inspection for production order but there are several constraints due to which It will not work for certain cases. if we record the readings on each interval against machine/workcenter then every thing will be fine.
how can we do it in SAP.

Yes its a variant product (Like aluminium sheets rolls for different gauge and widths). which means alot of different product variants produce on same machine with same machine parameters.
so for inspection, product has secondary importance, we want to study the machine parameters to monitor which should remain same over the time and product.
Further at the end, the report we want to see is based on machine not product.

Srinivasa, your suggestion is very good, especially when calculation of variances/WIP is required. But again as there is no cost relevant material where the WIP/Variances will be settled during settlement process?
1) PP need to create process order without material because changeover cost should not be charged to either material and capacity hours are consumed during changeover. 2) CO need to identify the cost of changeover which should be charged to cost center. So far we have achieved both of these two objectives by the following activities:
Creation of Process Order without material using CORO T.Code say 3 hours of changeover occurred we create order with quantity of 3 Hours. And confirmation of activities quantity 3 using COR6N so cost center is credited by 3 x rate per hour. As there is a separate Process Order type for Changeover we can identify changeover quantity and cost in a given period.
After contributors feedback in this thread I have come to conclusion that I don't need to assign Settlement Profile and PA Structure to Changeover Process Order type. So no need to run Process Order settlement. As there is no specific required for Changeover WIP/Variances as well. -
System Error Message CR082-Work center with ID 10000005 was not found
Hi SAP Gurus,
We are getting the error message 'Work center with ID 10000005 was not found' while our finance guys trying to do costing run for our two plants together. But when they run the costing for two plants seperately then it is working fine. Because of the business needs they have to do the costing run for both plants together.
"The description of the error is as follows:
System error: Work center with ID 10000005 was not found
Message no. CR082
Diagnosis
Internal error.
Procedure
Repeat the transaction.
If the error occurs and you have a CRM System connected to your ERP System, the document may have been archived in the CRM System.
If the error occurs again, inform your system administrator. If the error cannot be corrected, call the SAP Hotline directly. Describe which steps preceeded the error"
Any idea how to solve this issue.

Supposing if 1 activity want to utilize the work center having Diff Catogories and each catogories will have diff work timings.How we can assign the same.

While seeing the load details, it is showing the avilable capacity depends on the work timing we have given for the Diff Catogories, But how we can assign it for the activity.

Can you have multiple Rates within one Work Center with multiple operations
We have a work center called Pipeshop. Within the Pipeshop we have multiple operations such as Welding, Threading, Cutting, Grooving etc. Each of these operations have a different cost assoicated with them. How can you have different cost for these operations?

For this case you need to do following activities.
1 Create individual activity accoding to requirement, that will be used for costing.
2 Activity planning w r t work center. In this cost per unit is declaring.
3. Create Routing and modify the default activity type, w r t required activity type, suitable to operations.
Now Order is referring the activity type, refered in Routing rather than, work center.

Work center with two cost centers
Hello,
I have one work center. I can produce two different products on it. For one product the costs should go to cost center 1. For the othe product the costs should go to cost center 2.
How can I realize this scenario?

IF you have to take care of capacity planning and scheduling, then you need to use only one WC and having two WC will not serve the pirpose.
Generaly you cannot assign WC to 2 different cost center unless the period is different.
Then the only solution is let the cost get posted to 1 common cost centre. Then at the month end distribute the cost to 2 different cost centers depending on then qty produced.
This is the one laternative we are following. -
Work Center/Equipment wise Material issue report
Hello Experts,
Greetings.
We are creating maintenance order.After completion of work we do issue the goods against cost center/order.
We have almost 52 machines with Same type/Same Make.We have created one cost center only.We are able to get the report cost center wise issue from the system
Now the issue is how to get report individual machine wise in terms of qty of spares/consumables used to repair that particular machine.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Now the issues is while using the report I m able to get the material where used list for only those order which are in Outstanding/Processing.
But If I want to show the report for order which status has been set as a 'teco' and goods have already been issued against that report,it does not shows any data.
I have tried using check box 'completed",to view the closed order data but it does not shows.It says No objects were selected.
Please help me out what could be the problem?

1) Can we create Credit memo without entering material Reference (Only Value needs to be Credited)?
2) Can we create Credit Memo for Freight & Insurance Value only (no other prices).

for freight and insurance, your approach will depend on how these are treated. if freight and insurance are represented by material numbers, then these are entered in the credit and/or debit memo requests (also in sales orders). this will then be a straight-forward process. these items can have a set price, or the value can be manually entered.
however, freight and insurance are sometimes represented as condition types, these can then be entered manually in the order at header and/or item level again depending on your approach.

Associate materials with work center

For our chemicals production plant, vessels in which HALB products are produced are defined as work centers in SAP. Our business has a requirement that certain vessels can only be used to produce certain materials. Is there a way to capture this requirement in SAP, i.e. associate a work center with specified materials? Help is appreciated.

Dyanmic work center selection in production order based on material
Hi ALL,
We’ve a business requirement to support the following functionality.
There are four similar type of milling machines say MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, we create a single work center called MILLMC by specifying total capacity of four milling machines in the capacity header screen of work center with 4 individual capacities. And we mention work center MILLMC in the operation of routings for respective materials.
However, during production order creation, there needs to be provision for detailed planning of work centers as per the following requirements
In production order, some operations can be performed on any one of the machines MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, so provision needs to be there to enter exact machine on which it is performed in the production order operation after the details are copied from respective routing during production order creation.
In production order, some operations can be performed on only MILL3, so system should select only MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order
In production order, some operations can be performed on either MILL1 or MILL2 or MILL4 and not on MILL3, so system should not select MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order.

Table with all versions of capacities (work center)
Hi,
I've created a work center with capacity. This capacity has 2 versions (01 normal capacity" the activ version" and 02 minimum capacity).
I'm surching a table where I can display the work center A with capacity A1 with the versions 01 and 02. (not only with the activ capacity 01 I need to display all the versions from this capacity)

You will have to use a combination of tables, perhaps a SQVI to join tables
CRHD - Work Center Header (link work center to capacity ID)
KAZY - Capacity version
KAPA - shifts and intervals
In KAPA the times are displayed in seconds

How to find work center in REM from the material Documnet number

We want to develop a Z report for the repetitive manufacturing cycle. Please let me know the logic how to get the work center from the material document that is posted after backflushing MFBF tranaction.
I will elaborate it little further. From the material document number that is genearted out of confirmation from that document no how can I find the work center so that we can so show the throughput of each work center.
Please avoid standard transaction of MCRP etc.

I'm not sure whether you can get the work center details,but you can get the production version number from you can get the
rate routing details.
Give a try by passing the document no to table BLPP and get the document log number and pass on the document log number to
table BLPK,by which you can identify the production version.
Also give a try using this FM,RM_DISPLAY_AFRU_REM,I guess you can get the exact work center details from here.
check and revert back.

Select the work center in sales order

When I create a saler order, the system create automatically a service order with the corresponding data which are reported in transaction OISD for the service material. The key of this table only permits a work center for one material service and plant. And it is impossible to add more work centers for the same service material and plant.
So I need to be able to choose the work center when I generate the sales order. How can I get it?

I have some question about the work center when pick up by the creation of production order. When we create production order manually via CO01, SAP pick workcenter BSBA111 for this order. And when we convert a planned order to a production order SAP pick work center CAWORK01. same finished product is been consider with this material number 1111002 in plant 0012. why in different way of creating production order, but the system is been picking two different work center with different formula? please explain deeply for my concern.
ThanksIn this case what is happening is that while creating manual Production order you are manually selecting the production version . therefore the routing assigned to that particular production version gets copied & subsequently the work centre assigned to th routing gets copied along with that.
Since you have used selection methood as 3 (selection only by production version) the system searches for the valid production version starting from the 1st production version in your list of production versions & stops as soon as it finds the valid one & selects it.(I.e. the 1st version which is valid for the date of exposion & within the lot size defined)
Now in this case the one which you selected & the one which the system finds during MRP can differ.
Thats why your work centres differ , because the production versions differ.
Therefore If you want the selection to be same in Manual PO & PO by MRP , in OPL8, for your plant & order type , select indicator 0 for Production version i.e. automatic selection of production version. -
