Queries on Splitter module
Hello,
I have configured the example scenario given in Seeburger docs.
I am with the following errors
1. When I check the log file of seeburger i am getting Error No configuration found
2. When I check the audit logs of File adapter channel ,
SEEBURGER/MSGSPLITTER: There are 1 attachments to split and providing the target channel details. Which are different than the one configured in WorkBench
Queries
1. Is SeeBurger workbench configuration is with respect to partner or with respect to interface
I mean if I have 10 partners sending the same message then i need to configure 10 Partner data confgiurations in workbench?? because the audit log is showing the partner number/MappingName/ACCEPTED as target channel
very Thankful for your helpful replies
Rajesh
Hello ,
I am trying to process the orders received.
For this two partys we have one for sender and other for receiver.
sender party business service has party details, in case of Ack receiver is also same,so no need of configuring again the party details
Do I also need to configure the party details at the receiver party business service identifer tab which is for receiving orders ??
FYI , adapters used are
File -- sender
File - ack receiver
IDoc - reciever
I am spinning around this...
Any more clues will be helpfull
Thank you
Rajesh

Error with Seeburger Splitter module
Hi all,
I had configured Seeburger Splitter and using seeburger splitter module in file adapter with classifier,convertor and splitter in same sequence.But,while testing i m getting null
error for sender file adapter in communication channel monitoring.It isn't able to process the file placed in directory.
When audit log of same is seen,it shows
ERROR : getXmlContentFromMessage()
ERROR : process()
ERROR : Attempt to process file failed with null
Any inputs why is it so.
Regards,
AnoopHello Ravi,
We have seen this issue on a few occasions. It might be related to the ConverterJNI class.
In the defaulttrace file you can check for error such as
Caused by: com.sap.i18n.cp.ConverterRuntimeException........
Got exceptions: null
at com.sap.i18n.cp.ConverterJNI.<clinit>(ConverterJNI.java:46).....
If this is the case, Then the problems is within the Startup Framework. I would advise you to update the Startup Framework as described in note #710914.
Thanks,

Hello Experts,
I m implementing the CFM module standard objects. Now i want to know what standard queries are available for CFM.
In business content i can find standard queries for only Analyser.No queries for Transaction Manager are available.
can anyone help me know if some standard queries are available for CFM in Transaction Manager.

Queries about PS module and subsequent integration with MM, SD and PP
Hello Experts,
Am posting the query for the first time so hope you all will excuse if something is not correct. Here is a scenario that I am working on:
- The customer is a project engineering company wanting to use PS (but without networks - ONLY WBS)
- We copy the neutral material BOM to create a project BOM
- We create a multi-item sales order with a/c assignment to different assembly groups from the project structure for deliveries and billing
- Project COST planning (V002 and V000) is carried out
- Material stock must be valuated
Following are the scenarios for commitment and actual costs:
1. Direct procurement:
Process: Material purchased with a PR generated from SO item --> PO --> GR --> IR
Query: I am guessing that commitment will be generated through PO creation for WBS. What about actual? What type of cost element should be assigned to the G/L being affected during GR so that I can get some actual against the WBS?
2. Procure to produce:
Process:
Common Purchase: Material purchased through a normal PO (without a/c assignment to WBS) for common unrestricted stock.
Project purchase: Material purchased through project PO (with a/c assignment to WBS - resulting in commitment generation) and special project stock at the time of GR
Both materials (from common and project PO) shall be used for production of an assembly which is being produced using a production order which is assigned to the WBS element.
Query:
How and when would I be getting the commitment / actual effects here?
- Is any commitment generated when I create a production order?
- Is any actual cost posted when I issue raw material to this production order?
- What if the raw material being issued to production order was not purchased using this WBS? Is the actual cost still loaded on this WBS?
- What happens when I confirm the production order to generate FG stock?
What should I be careful about when defining this scenario and what type of cost elements should I be using?
3. Procure - Produce - Sale
Process: In certain cases, material procured for common stock is issued for project production,
Material produced for one WBS/Project gets issued for another.
Query: How does SAP react in this case about the entire commitments and actual cost postings?
I know there are too many queries but I hope you all understand that it is a project-engineering-manufacturing company so on one side the commitment-actual costs are important to be assigned to right project-WBS. At the same time, they also want to have the flexibility in their production activities.
Awaiting eagerly for all possible help.Link farming is not allowed on this forum. Hence, i would not be able to post any links here. Just to get you started type "SAP Help" in Google. Open the 1st link and under Frequently used click on "ERP Central Components". Then under SAP ERP Central Component 6.0 click on "English". This will take you to a new window. Here, again click on "SAP ERP Central Component". Then click on Logistics - Project System.
You can find all the relevant topics listed here. Go through each one of them and revert with specific queries. -
Starting multiple queries in different modules at the same time
Hi @ all,
i´ve built a forms mdi application with forms 10g (10.1.2.3).
When I open a form (from the menu form) and start a database query the whole mdi application is blocked until the query finishes.
Is there a way to avoid blocking the whole application so that i am able to start another form and do some work while the other running module is still querying (Maybe starting each module in its own (java) thread).
Thank you,
ThomasNon-blocking cannot be set programatically. Plus, it only gives you the option to cancel the query, not open another form. From the Help:
Interaction Mode property
Specifies the interaction mode for the form module. Interaction mode dictates how a user can interact with a form during a query. If Interaction Mode is set to Blocking, then users are prevented from resizing or otherwise interacting with the form until the records for a query are fetched from the database. If set to Non-Blocking, then end users can interact with the form while records are being fetched.
Non-blocking interaction mode is useful if you expect the query will be time-consuming and you want the user to be able to interrupt or cancel the query. In this mode, the Forms runtime will display a dialog that allows the user to cancel the query.
You cannot set the interaction mode programmatically, however, you can obtain the interaction mode programmatically using the GET_FORM_PROPERTY built-in. -
Linking a function module in Bex query
Hi,How do I use a function module in a Bex query?
Req is: use to get the diff b/w 2 date fields only if both the value are present otherwise leave the result column blank.
Ex:
Date1, date2, No. of working days
X Y x-y
Blank Y Blank(no value to be set)
X Blank Blank(no value to be set)
I tried to do this in Query, but then it results in zero in the 2nd and 3rd case which is not as per my req.
Wanna try with function module DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES in the query. Steps to link this function module in a bex query wud be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.Hi S R,

Adapter Modules & split 997 channel reqd for splitting Edi and Acknowledgement
Hi,
I am using PI 7.11 with B2B add-on installed.We will be using AS2 adapters ,as of now
configured file adapters in place of it.
This B2B scenario does not consists of Party because 1 sender and 1 receiver system is involved as of now.
May be client provides identifiers details and include party.
In my previous B2B scenario(PI 7.3) involving Seeburger , AS2 channel was configured with(image shown below)
SeeClassifier,BIC, message splitter modules and Split997 channel for splitting EDI PO and Functional Acknowledgement.
What are the adapter modules that will be required in case of B2B add on (PI 7.11)and does it requires
EDI separator channel for splitting EDI doc & Func Ack.What can be the other probable issues.
How we will monitor the messages and Ack once its implemented end to end?
Regards,
Mayank YadavHey Mayank,
Inbound Scenario configuration: (3 step)
1) Sender AS2 (EDI messages) -----> EDI separator receiver (no mapping required here; EDI separator is used to split bulk EDI messages and configure acknowledgements (997) if required)
2) EDI separator sender (with message type(eg.850),version and sender ID/receiver ID configuration; here X12convertor module is used to change raw edi into XML) ----> Idoc or any receiver channel (inbound)(here you have your actual mapping)
(if 997 is configured as requested in the first step; then you need to handle the 997 generated by EDI separator)
3) EDI separator sender (997 message type,version,reverse combination of sender ID,receiver ID) to Receiver AS2 ( no modules required pass through)
Outbound Scenario configuration
1) sender channel (say Idoc) to AS2 receiver (requires mapping)
997 file can be sent back by partners (EDI 997 as acknowledgement)
this will be taken care like any other inbound message) which can be then converted to SYSTAT IDOC or so to track the status of outbound message.
B2B status tab in PI monitoring helps you track acknowledgements
Hope this answers your question:
What are the adapter modules that will be required in case of B2B add on (PI 7.11)and does it require
EDI separator channel for splitting EDI doc & Func Ack.What can be the other probable issues.
How we will monitor the messages and Ack once its implemented end to end?

XQuery import module relative path
I'd like to use library modules in queries, with the modules stored in one or more configurable places. If I put them in files, and provide the full path to the file like so:
import module namespace pi = 'http://ceridwen.us/2006/mymodule' at 'file:///path/to/module/file'
It works fine so long as the path given is absolute. I've tried several variations on relative paths, including using 'declare base-uri' (which didn't seem to do anything) and XmlQueryContext::setBaseURI (which didn't help find the module file and caused the context to not be able to find the container). I've also tried giving paths relative to pwd and to the environment home. No luck.
It would be even cooler if I could store the modules in a bdb database... but that would require adding a resolver somewhere. Is there a way to use an XmlResolver for this?
Regards,
John RallsJohn,
documentation: Well, if it's right then I'm reading it wrong. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise.
base-uri: OIC.
XmlResolver: Hmm. I added this:
class Resolver : public DbXml::XmlResolver {
public:
Resolver() : DbXml::XmlResolver() {}
virtual ~Resolver() {}
DbXml::XmlInputStream* resolveEntity(DbXml::XmlTransaction* txn,
DbXml::XmlManager& mgr,
const std::string& systemID,
const std::string& publicID) {
std::cout << "Resolver::resolveEntity: Got systemID " << systemID
<< ", publicID " << publicID << std::endl;
return NULL;
to my header and
Resolver* rslv = new Resolver();
this->registerResolver(*rslv);
to the constructor of my DbXml::XmlManager-derived manager class.
The resolveEntity() function doesn't output. What's wrong?
(FWIW, the signature of resolveEntity in the documentation and that in the header(XmlResolver.hpp) differ: The latter doesn't have the std::string& result parameter. I tried both ways, and neither produced the output message.
resolveModule: Yes, I think that that would be clearer.

Regarding Protection for Queries
Hi All,
We have created queries in SD module and we want to present it to clint for initial view. Now we want to restrict the client from modifying the Query Definition. I dont have clear idea of authorizations. How can I restrit the user from accessing that option in BEx.
Is there any standard Role that we can assign for the client.
Please suggest me \
Regards
JayHello Jayanth,
Use su01 or PFCG tcode and look for the roles available otherwise create one new role and assign that Role to user go to Authorization tab under that click show authorisation and Restrict under S_RS_COMP1 by checking it 02 = Change, 03= Display, 06 = Delete, 16=Execute.
Hope it helps,

I have a query that I precompile and invoke after setting a variable. I do this to precompile the queries in stored modules as precompiling the queries would seem like a good performance enhancement.
When I invoke the query, it returns in 122168.68 (ms)! Obviously this is not ideal so in an attempt to diagnose the problem, I run the same query (same code) but I hard code the value instead of using a variable. Much to my pleasure, the query returned in 17.039 (ms). Now this is great! The only problem is that we can’t go into production with a hard coded variable. Are there any ideas how I can work around this (or better, if there is a patch)?
The code is as follows (the element names have been changed to protect the innocent):

Can xquery modules be precompiled and loaded?
If I have a fairly large xquery module (containing many functions), which I intend to reference in eventual ad-hoc queries, will the module be loaded and parsed on each call? Any way to avoid this - by somehow precompiling and loading the module?
Thanks,
- RaviHi Ravi,
Currently, the module will be read and parsed for each query that you parse. If you are using pre-compiled queries (XmlQueryExpression), then this shouldn't be too much of a problem for you, since the time spent parsing should be amortised over the many times your query is called.
Allowing pre-compiling of modules is, however, something that may be implemented in the future. This will mostly benefit compiling of ad-hoc (not pre-compiled) queries, that never-the-less want to use pre-compiled stock functions.

Dynamic Configuration Parameters - FileName
Hi to ALL.
I have a File(EDI) to File(XML) scenario and I use seeburger . I want to get the source file timestamp . I made UDF with dynamic configuration and actived parameters on sender channel. (Source file timeStamp)
My problem is the I can't get the value because the configuration with seeburguer use the channel split (EDI).
On sxi_monitor I see two records one is for Functional Acknow. and the other is for the interface.
On the first record I see the value but in the second ( when the mapping is procesing) the dynamic value refill with anothers values from Seeburger.(file converted to XML)
I get this values from dynamic configuration ()
SAP:Record namespace="http://seeburger.com/xi/Split997" name="maxSplitNumber">1</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://seeburger.com/xi/Split997" name="splitSender">YYYYY</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://seeburger.com/xi/Split997" name="splitState">ACCEPTED</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://seeburger.com/xi/Split997" name="splitMapping">XXX_E2X_ANSIX12_XXXX</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://seeburger.com/xi/Split997" name="actSplitNumber">1</SAP:Record>
</SAP:DynamicConfiguration>Hi Luis,
you can use the parameter "attributeCopyList" with the Splitter Module
With this parameter you can copy Dynamic Attributes across to your new channel.
For example, if you want to copy the attribute "test1" with the namespace "http://sap.com/xi/test",
the value for attributeCopy List is "http://sap.com/xi/test/test1"
So your module chain might look like this:
ModuleKey: splitter
ParameterName: attributeCopyList
ParameterValue: http://sap.com/xi/test/test1
Each new "Split-File" will then have the Dynamic Attribute http://sap.com/xi/test with value "test1"

Daniel
