Querry on PM Regarding workshops

hi gurus,
1. Normally in company you have workshops for carrying out some minor repairs, tell me how do you reperesent this in SAP if i am reprsenting this as work centre then when do i use it in order?
2. Any body plz tell in detail regarding how you carry out external services and maintenance contracts?
3.what is a standing order and how it differs from normal order?

The below my points may fullfill ur requirements
1. Consider the workshop as dummy vendor so this case create Notification type as WS for the workshop jobs. Then only all users who reqd the workshop will create the notification. The same way configure order types also.
workshop has to create the order , process and book the expenses. add the activity also.
Incase user is going for outside quaotation they want to create the quoatation at ME41 . here create workshop as dummy vendor and maintain the quatation cost. then user can compare   thro ME 49. they will decide the party incase if they are going to workshop ask them to create a notification again.
2. External services create a sep order type while processing put PM03 control key enter the services , then back ground PR will be created . After PO the job will be done by party book the actual qty at ML81N and then bill will be done party.
3. Standing order means it is for long term.Example u want to collectively see the expenses for particular tech objects.
this may settle after some periods or yearly once. This like main order u can settle the cost against this .
Ex suppose ur workshop acrrying some Qty sample jobs for one particular location. Create standing . While getting the jobs book the material+ activity against the same.
Settle the order after 1 year.

    run it in the debugger.

    Since Workshop is recommended by BEA as a Web Services development tool, I think,
    this topic may be shared between Web Services and Workshop newsgroups.
    Point in my comment is not about ability or disability of Workshop of copying
    CTRL files into your project. I tried to explain that this feature is inadequate
    to Web Services in general if it substitutes WSDL.
    I would certainly agree with and appreciate a feature that allows me, as a developer,
    to reuse already existing Control Descriptor available in MY environment. However,
    the Tutorial does not teach “to copy the control's CTRL file to a common folder”.
    Instead, it follows the statement: “If the control will be used only by a single
    web service in your project, you may choose to copy the CTRL file to the same
    folder as your web service”. I doubt that the statement represents Best Practices
    – it couples projects by a derivative, not by the resource. That is, if WSDL has
    been changed, the 3-rd project can re-build CTRL file for itself, you project
    gets into troubles ( it is obvious, right ? ).
    Using Workshop, I am trying to understand how BEA recommends working with Web
    Services. I recognize the power of Connector architecture and common approach
    to resources accessibility represented by CTRL files. At the same time, I see
    that a repository of CTRL files for Web Services can shield developers from Web
    Services in WebLogic environment. If this is an accidental consequence, it has
    to be clearly explained, if not fixed; if it is an intention, I would like to
    hear the BEA comments on how this relates to known WSDL repositories, other standards,
    and reliability of Web Services in the enterprise environment, at least.

  • Querry based alert for minimum inventory

    Dear All,
    I want to set an alert for minimum inventory. for that alert i want to set a querry.
    If there are 10 items in my stock and my minimum inventory is 2. Now if i am going to creat sales quotation or sales order for 15 quantity thn it will have to show me alert popup for creating Purchase order. please help me to create such querry.

    Hi SWAPY,
    There is a system built-in alert "Mininum Stock Deviation", which can meet your requirement. So you don't need to create an new query for this purpose.
    Please find it from Administration->Alerts Management, tick 'Active' and choose the user you want to send Alert to.

    from the Developer6/6i.
    you can check the success or failure by using the
    form_success builtin.
    if u want to avoid using the Forms_ddl package
    use stored procedure or create a sql querry record group.

    You can see at the time of customisation business areas are finalised.
    Normally it is aasigned in following path  
    Spro - Entr Structure ---  Assigmnt - Logistics- genrl - Assign Business Area to Plant/Valuation Area and Division
    Thus in material master there also you will find in basic data 1 view (division) .

    I have prepared ABAP query with tables KNA1, KNB1, BSID. I have mapped only BUKRS and KUNNR from BSID . as I don't have any condition to map the fields. I want only one record for considering  KUNNR and BUKRS in report . But in report It is displaying all entries from BSID considering BUKRS and KUNNR means for documents all line items.Kindly suggest as soon. How to avoid such duplicate records

  • Reservation Of material against a particular job

    Hi ,
          I have a scenarion at my clients place. Here I procure material for different jobs againsat stock. When the material is received it should be reserved for specific job, but the material goes to unrestricted stock & anyone is able to issue this stock for other jobs.
    Without using any special stock( like project stock or sale order stock) how can I reserve this material for that material for that job.

    For that u have to create the production order , carryon availability check, When all components are available then save the order,Then u can found that components required for that order are get reserved.So that other cannot be used.
    In scope of check set x for reserved material so that reserved material will not be considered during another production order availability check.

    As such and as far as I understood and know unless you have a legal entity(company code )in India as a subsidiary of German Parent Company.....you dont have a legal requirement to submit B/S in India.
    If your querry is with regard to Company code..anyways you will be maintaining the Company code currency when you create a Company code.

  • Reserved Stock and scheduled stock

    Hi Friends...
    In MMBE i can see some of my raw materials are in "Reserved" staus. This must be for Production orders. Which report should I use to see non-confirmed production orders for which this stock has been in reserved status?
    Same case for a finished goods. Some wuantity of stocks are in "Shedule for Delivery". Which report should I use to track these stock reserved for delivery?

  • Charts with large datasets?

    I'm writing an application that requires graphing of multi-series sql statements over moderately large datasets. Think 45-90k data points or so.
    I've noticed that with datasets larger than 5k or so, the flash charts eat a lot of cpu time when rendering and I haven't gotten flash charts to display 15k data points appropriately. I get a message about flash having a long running script.
    Does anybody have suggestions for how to display 50,000+ data point charts in apex? Is there a recommended tool to integrate with apex that would create the chart server-side as a graphic and then push the graphic to the client? Also, if possible I would like to call this tool directly from DB jobs to push graphs out to people via email on a recurring basis.
    Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    I originally worked exclusively in Mac. It was the only game in town at one time. I have been working on higher end Windows-based workstations for the past 10 years or so (I also do some video production). Apple products are 'kool,' just not cost-effective. I am currently running Win7 on a dual-quad core with 8GB Ram and 3+TB high-speed storage.
    I used DeltaGraph for several years but their PostScript was version 1.0. I had a lot of problems with the files, such as not ungrouping grouped objects, font problems and difficulties applying newer effects -- even after re-saving to current version AI. At version 5, I querried Red Rock regarding upgrade of PS support but they said it was not in their plans. I also found that setting up some plots was terrifically complicated in DG. It was quicker to set up simple geometry in layered plots in Illustrator. I have not looked at DG 6 but will check on their PS status.
    I have not looked at importing Excel via PDF. I often do test plots from the source worksheets for reference in Excel but have never considered the results to be workable or usable in a published format. I will take another look at Excel per your suggestion.
    It sure would be great if AI charting were a bit more robust and reliable.

    Please suggest the exact query
    if Flag row ahs some value any thing it is updating , but when there is NULL value ,
    problem is coming

    means select all record whose *EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG is 'Y' or Null *
    UPDATE EMPLOYEE_MST SET EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG='Y' WHERE ((EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG 'Y') OR (EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG = ' '))
    means update those records where *EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG is 'Y' or Null * and the new value to be updated is 'Y'
    Change your update query to
    UPDATE EMPLOYEE_MST SET EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG='D' WHERE ((EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG 'Y') OR (EMP_MAXQTY_AUTH_FLAG = ' '))

  • Regarding SQ01 querry.

    I am facing problem while executing querry in SQ01, in material master we have maintained the quantity and cost for the materials but while executing Forecast querry for some materials we are getting value 0 (zero) for the Planned forecast value, Incoming order value and Absolute difference value column. These three cloumn should be quantity evaluated using standard cost from material master. but we are getiing it as 0.
    Can you please expalin me the logic behind this.

    If you have an SQ01 query that is called 'Forecast', then the query was built by someone from your company, and it is uniqe to your system. We can't help you solve a query problem without a lot more details about how it works and what it is designed to display. 
    You would be well advised to find the person who wrote the query, and ask them why the data is not displayed according to your expectation.

  • Regarding sales querry.

    Hi All,
    I have a querry to build on sales standard extractor in bw side,with following requirements
    the querry must capture any changes or modification done to sales order .
    1) creation of sales order
    2)modification of sales order
    3)deletion of sales order
    in total it has to capture minute details on sales order and to be shown.
    for eg:
    on certain date you sold 10 pcs phones with amt1000 ,for an item 10.
    and next day the customer has returned 3 pcs now in querry it has to show in item 10 ,7 pcs are left with 700amt. and another line the cancelllation of item 10 with 3 cancelled with amt 300.i mean any changes to sales order creation ,modification and deletion should be captured with respective dates.
    this is not possible with only the sales standard extractor in place so any one has idea as to how to deal with the situation it would be of great help.

    Go to the contract in change mode. Goto the contract Header, then click on Partners tab page.
    in the field of partner functions, click on to a blank field, enter partner function 'AW' and in the next field enter the ship to party partner number.

  • PM Querry regarding old materials

    hi everybody
    i have a querry regarding how old items are handled in PM . example in our old company we use to maintain a scrap ledger where we use to account  our old items (materials/complete eqpts while replacing with new eqpts) etc we use to take into account as iron/copper/brass scrap etc and once they reach a certain level in scrap store we use to go for auction.
    How is this part handled in PM?

    I would recommend Create a New material Type , Once the Item becomes old Transfer all the Inventory to new material type. This way you can manage the Inventory for both the new and old and new materials.Once your old materials reaches certain Inventory , that material can be sold of and the revenues can be credited to Inventory.
