Query from master data

I am trying to create a structure to create a query as follows from 0EMPLOYEE master data. I have ceated a BI infoset with 0EMPLOYEE and using that to create this query. This query is intened to be used as the receiver query in RRI.
Sender Query (query1):
                              Employee Distribution by perfromace rating
Performance Rating Before_Min Below Above Total
Receiver Query (query2) : this should feed the employees used in query1 and get their attributes in a query
Employee       Last_Name First_Name, Annual_Salary
    A
    B
Qns:
1, What is the best approach to get this?
2. How do I create a characteristic query for Employee (without key figures) as in qurey-2

Thanks for your message. I got the receiver query working by configuring the infoobject as a infoprovider and getting "# of records" as the dummy KF into the query and hide it. I need to clean up to supress results reow.
For connectign to this query as RRI, in the assignment details, do I use it as an Infoobject - parameter for 0EMPLOYEE or any other setting. I used the above settings and see more employees in the list than I had expected. i don't see the employee ids being passed on from Q1 to Q2 to provide a reduced result set when I limit the scope in q1 (eg: by filtering using the org unit or personnel area).
Any clues?

Currency translation - not picking up currencies from master data

Hi,
We have a currency translation defined for a key figure. We've defined a variable for users to select target currency. 0currency is set to pick up from master data, but the input help on the variable is only showing currencies from infoprovider. I debugged the query and it is trying to get the currencies from the cube. Any setting that I do or update?
We're using BW 7.3 SP10 on HANA.

Error when executing a query on master data

Hi Friends,
When I execute a query fon Master Data Characteristic infoObject ( 0BPARTNER ) from BEx Analyzer I got the below error. 0BPARTNER contains 15 attributes. I am getting the below error only for this query. Rest all other queries are working good with the same BEx Analyzer.
<b>An error occured in the communication with the BW Server.
Due to this connection has to be closed.</b>
<b>Detailed Description:
The system is configured incorrectly.</b>
Please tell me what could be the problem? How to overcome this?

Web report data provider change from Master data table to InfoCube

hi Experts,
I have created one report on top of multiprovider but in the selection screen when i check the values for a variable I came to know that data is coming from master data table and not from data provider(InfoCube).Can any one help to change the data selection from master data table to data provider(InfoCube) and i am sure that there is no ODS involved in the multiprovider.

If u are using Analyser then just put a Analysis Grid on the output of the query(should cover all the rows and column) , click on the grid and put the dataprovider. and do auto fit.

Issues In Reading Attribute Values From Master Data

Hi All,
I have a requirement where, i need to read an attribute value from master data. I have a characteristic YCSTATMCG (AT Cost Group Code) which is the master data from where i have to read the attribute, 0PROFIT_CTR (Profit Center). The attribute thus read, has to be populated into another characteristic, YPROFIT_C. But YCSTATMCG referes to another characteristic, YCSTCG. Here is the FOX Code I wrote with YPROFIT_C as the changing characteristic and 0AMOUNT as keyfigure.
DATA V_ATCP TYPE YCSTATMCG.
DATA V_PROFIT TYPE YPROFIT_C.
DATA V_PROFITC TYPE YPROFIT_C.
DATA V_AMOUNT TYPE F.
V_ATCP = OBJV().
MESSAGE I020(YCO_CFT) WITH V_ATCP.
V_AMOUNT = {0AMOUNT, # }.
V_PROFIT = ATRV('0PROFIT_CTR' , V_ATCP).

But this is not working. The ATRV() function is not reading the attribute values at all. Any solutions and suggestions is highly valued.

even i have the same situation.
i just want the attribute value of a char to be populated into another characteristic in the planning query.
my question is whether i should populate the keyfigure field also in the FOX code.
if so should i populate both 0amount and 0quantity fields as i have 2 keyfigure fields.

Hello i have this html report that i have written to output a
report.
now, i am assigned to pass the same fields to a pdf form so
the fields in the adaobe form can be populated or the term
Pre-populate the form.
can anyone help me get started.
first i would like to know if it can be done.
second, what do i need to get started (tools )
third how do i do this.
i am really lost at this point.
can anyone give me tips in how to approach this

It can be one using Adobe Acrobat Designer which is packaged
with Acrobat
Professional Pro 7. It uses all XML to create and populate
forms.
If you had the time, you can also create <cfdocument
type="pdf"> to have
them ready and just pass the info to it so it autogenerates
the PDF on the

Abap logic not fetching multiple rows from master data table

I just noticed that my logic is fetching only 1 row from master data table.

I have implemented the logic in end routine and it still reads only the first row.
I am loading only PRODH1 and PROD2 but now I want to get all values of PRODH3 from the master data table.
The first 5 values are PRODH1 and first 10 values belongs to PRODH2.
Whenever PRODH2 = 1000011000 in source I should get the following values

Reading From Master data failure

I have enhanced 0VENDOR_ATTR with ZTERM field from LFM1 table and everything is working fine ...I have added ZPMNTTRMS as an attribute in 0VENDOR and loaded the data its working fine .But when I was using this ZPMNTTRMS in a DSO and say read from master data and took the source field as 0vendor ...then Iam not able to see the values for this info object...Ofcourse 0VENDOR is loading fine....Can any one let me know what is the issue here ? / Is there any routiene / some code needs to be written some where to get the ZPMNTTRMS values in DSO ...Please advice ASAP...

No delta's for DTP from master data object to Info Cube

Hello,
I have a DTP process that updates records from master data attributes to Info cube.
Here i am not able to schedule a DTP in delta mode. The option appears in display mode.
Even though when i tried deleting the FULL update DTP and created a new DTP, the delta option is in display mode. i have deleted all requests from my info cube.
Any idea or solution !!

   If you want load Master Data DELTAs to Cube, you can achive this by introducing a DSO before Master Data Infoobjects.

Hello professionals,
I having difficulty in finding solutions to query data from multiple data blocks. By the way I'm using Oracle Forms 10g
I have 4 data blocks and all items are database items
Below are the blocks,
1. student_main (columns : student_id, student_name, student_state)
2. subject_main (columns : subject_id, subject_desc, subject_student_id)
3. invoice_main (columns : invoice_no, invoice_amt, invoice_student_id)
4. receipt_main (columns : receipt_no, receipt_amt, receipt_invoice_ref)
The form will need to allow user to be able to query from any of the items/fields from the data blocks as listed above
For eg,
: if user query student_id then all related value items from table subject_main, invoice_main, receipt_main need to be displayed
: if user query invoice_no then all related value items from table student_main, subject_main, receipt_main need to be displayed
However the tricky part is that some student might have or might not have invoice / receipt data
I tried using relations but it didn't work both ways
I even create relations in every table (student_main to subject_main, subject_main to student_main, invoice_main to student_main, student_main to invoice_main and etc.) but it just make my running process hang
Need help on this matter

In general, relation will work. your relation creating was wrong, i think.
do as
1. student_main master to subject_main details
2. student_main master to invoice_main details
3. invoice_main master to receipt_main details

BEX F4 help values from posted values in Info Provider not from Master data

We have an info object called Archival purpose and it is display attribute of Master data info object Archive Number. Both Info objects are used in a cube. Posted values in cube have only two value for info object Archival purose which is "EXCOM" and "EA".
But when we do the F4 in the bex query, we see some other F4 values. Although Master data is having other entries but we have defined in the bex property of both the info object to read the f4 value from the posted values in the info provioder.
Please suggest how to get values in bex F4 help only from posted values in info provider and not from the master data.

Hi,
You don't need to change the Infoobject definition as it will become global and it will be applicable for whereever this infoobject is used. Instead you can manage this setting for this particular Infoprovider.
Go to RSA1 and double click on your infoprovider used for this query, go to change mode. From the right hand side dimension tree search for the Infoobject for which you want to maintain this property. If it is navigation attribute then you can search it in navigation attribute tree.
Once you find the infoobject right click and from context menu choose the first option "InfoObject specific properties". In the next popup in the last option about F4 values for filter you can select the option, "Only values from Infoprovider".

i have master data:

cube:
material/date/quantity

in my querty designer, i put the 0calday with selection options
when i insert for example 01.01.2010
its couting the "material-new" ( 15*5) it shoudlnt
it should calculate the old one. (20*5)
how can i fix it?

Hi Amit,
At "Query properties" screen, you can define a "Key date". It can be fixed or it can be calculated from a user-input variable. If you do not specify one, the default key date value is the date on which the query is executed (today).
For time-dependent data, the key date determines the time for which the data is selected (material price, in your case). However, there is only one key date per query. You can't make it dynamic depending on the value of 0CALDAY in every transactional data record.
Perhaps you might consider the option of adding 0AMOUNT to your InfoCube, and precalculate the formula quantity*price using an ABAP routine which reads price from InfoObject Q table, filtering by OBJVERS='A' and DATETO/DATEFROM=0CALDAY.

Deleting a record from Master data

Hi all,
I need some help with deleting a record from the master data.I did go to the master dta maintenance screen and selected the record to be deleted. I saved it. I received the message, "master Data record cannot be deleted".
I then went into transaction slg1 to check for the details of the record. A message stating " Master data record XXX is being used in the cube /BIC/Dzzzyyy312.
This record is no longer needed by the end user and was requested to be deleted. Could some one tell me if there is a possibility to delete this unused masterdata record. Your suggestions are appreciated.

Query says master data value is invalid in selection screen.

Hi,
I am experiencing an issue that is occurring across many reports in our BW QA system, not just one. My InfoProvider clearly contains data with plant = US33. However, when I run the report and in the selection screen I enter US33 I get the error message saying that the value US33 is invalid.
If I open the selection box, it even shows US33 as an available option (selections are restricted to values in the infoprovider), but again if I select US33 and click ok I get the same error message saying that the value US33 is invalid.
If I run the report open the report returns records with plant = US33. However, if I try to filter on plant US33 in the report it returns no data.
US33 is available in the 0PLANT master data and yes the data is active. I even tried modifying this record and saving it and that didn't work. I also tried reloading the data and still nothing.
I also tried running tests in RSRT on the 0PLANT master data but there are no errors.
I can query data in the infoprovider successfully when I select plant = US33 in the BW.
I suspect that since this is occurring across multiple reports that report off of different infoproviders, that this is a master data or system issue but I can't solve it.
Please advise.

what is the length of 0plant .
it should be 4 characters with lower case on.
ensure cases are same in 0plant and report selection screen if lowercase is allowed in plant data.
if it still gives your problem try to create a new variable on 0plant and use it.
revert back nothing works..
