Query using field MWSKZ without using BSEG

Hi,
I'm trying to create an Infoset (t-code SQ02) that will contain the field MWSKZ (Tax on sales/purchases code).
This field is located in the table BSEG and I get the message: «Table BSEG cannot be used in a join» when I try to create an infoset using BSEG.
Is MWSKZ (Tax on sales/purchases code) located in any other table?
Thanks,
Julien

BSIK, BSAK, BSID, BSAD.
But I'm not sure how useful these tables will be in a JOIN.

  • ABAP query using logical database KDF is not populating custom fields

    Hi Experts ,
    I created two following queries
    1.       VENDORCATKDF – uses KDF logical database
    2.       VENDORCATLFA1 – uses table = LFA1
    I’m pulling the same information in both queries:
    ·         Vendor Number
    ·         Country
    ·         Vendor Name
    ·         Vendor Category  (custom fields added to LFA1)
    The results for the query that uses the logical database KDF is incorrect.  It doesn’t pull in the flag on the custom field LFA1-ZMRO.   Even though the logical database KDF is made up of the table LFA1 and has these fields.
    Is there something that can be done – so that all of these “custom” category fields under LFA1 (such as LFA1-ZZMRO) – get pulled into queries – when we use the logical database KDF ?

    Hi,
    I have got the error removed by ensuring that fields from one table are a part of one line ( taking help of ruler) only. But the underlying problem remains, the output is not ALV but List output.
    I do not think having additional fields in the query is reason for this.
    Is it bcoz iI am adjusting the output length of columns to ensure no hierarchical error ?
    Can we not have a query using LDB which is shown as SAP List?

    Garima.

  • Unable to create new query using query manager

    Hi friends,
    I have been trying to create a query using query manager for couple of hours but still not able to.I am following the instructions given in oracle Peopletools 8.52 : Peoplesoft query
    Chapter - creating new queries.
    Below are the steps I am going through to create new query:
    Step - I open the component Reporting Tools-> Query->Query Manager , I don't get the tabbed pages one for search an existing query and another for create new query.
    Please follow this link to see how the page is displayed in first step:
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=EvMvVAXX1E
    Step 2 - When I click on create new query link, I am redirected to a page where it asks for record name to add in the query. But, even this page is not displayed as how it supposed to be
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=GzHh3f6krU
    Step 3 - Following the above step, when I click on Person record to add into my query I am asked to select the fields that I want to display in the output.
    But I somehow do not get the proper tabbed pages where individual pages are there to add the attributes to complete the query like adding multiple records, fields, query, expressions, prompt...etc
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=Wbbla3Q3jE
    I am neither able to select multiple records in my query nor able to customize my query to get the desired results.
    Below is the query that I want to create using query manager:
    SELECT P.EMPLID,P.BIRTHDATE, N.NAME, A.ADDRESS1, A.ADDRESS2, A.CITY
    FROM PS_PERSON P, PS_NAMES N, PS_ADDRESSES A
    WHERE P.EMPLID = N.EMPLID AND
    N.EMPLID = A.EMPLID AND
    P.BIRTHDATE BETWEEN to_date('1990/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd') and to_date('1991/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd');

    Hi,
    As I cannot access your screenshot by the blocking of company firewall rules.
    I'm guessing currently you are using PT 8.52.00 version, correct?
    This should be a bug, that you need to apply the 8.52.0X patch, not sure which patch fix this, you can apply the latest one to solve this issue for no tab page of query manager. (PT 8.52.06)
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP / ABAP Query - using logical database

    Hi ,
    We have a mandate to implement SAP Query using only Logical Databases (LDB ) .
    We understand that there are several issues using this approach .
    1 ) Paralled tables in MM need to be displayed on separate lines .
    2 ) Statistics based on fields from 2 different tables cannot be produced eg: EKPO ( PO Number )  and EKKN . (Cost Center )
    Please share your experiences .
    Thank you in advance .
    Kishore
    Kishore

    Adeel,
    I do appreciate your experience and respect you for knowledge on SAP Query.
    Joining tables seem simple to IT experts but not so for end users.  SAP Query is an end-user tool and users seem to need a simple user-friend, drag-and-drop solution to extract information using SAP Query based on a pre-defined infoset.  Various SAP conferences have been advocating the use of SAP delivered Logical Databses to create infosets in order to harness the various advantages of LDBs.
    In MM there are several LDBs (e.g. ELM, EBM etc) to create queries on EKPO and EKKN.  The problem arises when you use the same LDB to extract information from more than the above two tables e.g. EKPO, EKET, EKKN and EKBE.  SAP expects you to display fields on multiple lines and also does not allow producing statistics based on fields from two parallel tables say EKKN and EKBE.  Moreover, multi-line reports cannot be produced in the ALV/SLV format.
    We are also looking for best practise solutions in providing SAP Query to MM or FI users based on SAP delivered Logical Databases.

  • Using BSEG-OBZEI

    Hi!
    In owr SAP ERP system (version SAP ECC 6.0) field OBZEI in table BSEG is empty after posting material document and incoming invoice (MM).
    I want to fill it manually using SAP extensions, for exapmle BAdI.
    Is it possible problem with reversing (cancelling) document with filled OBZEI field?
    I'm sure that this field serves ONLY for linking line in original document with line in FI-document. Am I wrong and this field used in other cases?
    Thank you!

    hi,
    As i see your requirement is to populate some additional data to BSEG table for which you are in search of a field,
    I would suggest not to use any existing field, as each and every field in BSEG is used for some purpose or other in different SAP scenarios, this would be very difficult to any one to judge and provide you a view on this, even if any one says it would be a opinion only. - This is my view of fields in BSEG.
    But, there is a solution for your requirement as SAP had provided 2 additional fields in BSEG - XREF1,XREF2.(reference key 1 and reference key2 )  these fields can be used by you for filling any additional information as per your business scenario.
    This is pretty much standard SAP, no enahncements and these fileds are available for inputing at the time of doucment posting also incase of manual postings.
    I would feel this would suit your requirement.
    Regards,
    Bharathi.

  • User constructed query using dropdowns

    Hi all,
    I am trying to create a sql query using select lists with an application page. My problem is that written as a statement it would say;
    select count (distinct id)
    from requests
    where date_raised between '01 JUN 07' and '30 JUN 07';
    but if try to have a select list passing 'date_raised' or 'date_closed' it still works but if I put another for 'between' and 'not between' it has a problem, for example;
    select count (distinct id)
    from requests
    where :P5_SL_RAISED_CLOSED :P5_SL_BETWEEN :P5_START_DATE and :P5_END_DATE
    and date_closed is null or date_closed >:P5_END_DATE;
    Could someone help me please, I searched the forums and nobody seems to have done this. (Or maybe it's so simple they just didn't post!)
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
    you can accomplish this in following way:
    change your report type to SQL Query(PL/SQL function body returning SQL Query),
    then in region source try this:
    begin
    return 'select count (distinct id)
    from requests where ' || :P5_SL_RAISED_CLOSED ||' '|| :P5_SL_BETWEEN || ' to_date('''|| :P5_START_DATE ||''',''DD-MM-YYYY'') AND to_date(''' || :P5_END_DATE || ''',''DD-MM-YYYY'') and date_closed is null or date_closed > to_date('''|| :P5_END_DATE || ''',''DD-MM-YYY'')';
    end;
    Of course, you should change DD-MM-YYYY to date format used in your fields.
    Hope this helps.

  • Query using binding help?!?!

    I am fairly new to the world of SQL and I am having a problem with a query using binding. I am using SQL Developer (3.1.07).
    If I run the query with no bindings, everything works fine. On normal occasions I run this query on the day I want my totals and I achieve my desired results:
    SELECT SA.CRAFT,nvl(SUM (SA.LABORHRS),0) as "Loaded Hours"
    FROM SOL_SCHEDULEBASELINEWOASGMNT SA

    AND TO_CHAR(SB.TODATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY') = TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    AND TO_CHAR(SA.SCHEDULEDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY') = TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    group by sa.craft
    order by sa.craft asc
    CRAFT     Loaded Hours
    CONTR.     24
    MM     12
    MT     6
    BUT* I want to be able to enter my own date instead of using sysdate. This will be for if I miss running this for a day, am asked for the values from a previous date, etc...
    The value will always be the same date for all three date fields(SB.FROMDATE,SB.TODATE,SA.SCHEDULEDATE)
    I've modified the query to here and the query still works great at this stage: (I'm using 01-APR-2012 in my binding...)
    SELECT SA.CRAFT,nvl(SUM (SA.LABORHRS),0) as "Loaded Hours"
    FROM SOL_SCHEDULEBASELINEWOASGMNT SA
    LEFT JOIN SOL_SCHEDULEBASELINE SB ON SB.BASELINEID = SA.BASELINEID

    group by sa.craft
    order by sa.craft asc
    CRAFT     Loaded Hours
    CONTR.     24
    MM     12

    AND SA.SCHEDULEDATE = :DDMONYYYY
    group by sa.craft
    order by sa.craft asc
    CRAFT     Loaded Hours
    CONTR.     10
    All columns have a data_type of Date.
    As soon as I change SA.SCHEDULEDATE from
    AND TO_CHAR(SA.SCHEDULEDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY') = TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    to
    SA.SCHEDULEDATE = :DDMMYYYY
    it stops returning the results I need.

    Thank YouWhat are the datatypes involved?
    It is likely that you are being impacted by implicit datatype conversion.
    Realize that you can only enter strings; so you need to use TO_DATE() to convert string to DATE.

  • SAP QUERY using ASSHR and ASSOB tables

    We currently have SAP query that reports on additional payments (Info type 0015).  The user wants to report the cost center held on the cost assignment (Tables ASSOB and ASSHR).
    The existing query uses infoset created using PNP logical database.
    How do I add or join the ASSOB and ASSHR tables to Info type 0015 to report the cost center?

    Hi Sham
    You may need to create custom fields in the infoset and create some code to pull out and display details from ASSHR and ASSOB corresponding to the ifnotype record.

  • ABAP Query Using LDB

    Hello Frn's
    I need to develop a abap Query using LDB , for this a Infoset is allready created , which uses PNPCE LDB .
    Below i am Descrbing the scenerio , for which we need to develop the query ....
    Dept/Div Transfer
    Employees who transferred dept or division within specified date range:
    EmpID
    Last Name, First Name
    Date of transfer
    New department
    New division
    Current supervisor
    Old department
    Old division
    How can i fitler out the data of our requirment ... because i want to use same infoset in diffrent query .
    Please provide some solution
    Thanks and Regards..
    Priyank Dixit

    Hi Priyank,
    First you need to check whether all the required fields are available there in the LDB PNPCE(I guess you are using the same).
    I think old department, old division must not be available there. Then you need to add it in your Infoset and write custom code for these fields. Once you are done with custom coding, you can use this infoset for creating queries.
    Use trnx SQ02 to create queries, either SAP or Infoset.
    Hope it helps. Let me know if you need some more help.

  • Crystal Reports with BEx Query using Custom Exit Variable

    Hi,
    We have BW BEx Query using Customer User Exit variable to derive  the Fiscal Week for Last Year (called it VAR2) based on another user input variable Current Fiscal Week (called it VAR1).
    VAR2 is derived from VAR1 in CMOD via some codings and thus it DOES NOT have the "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx. VAR1 is user input variable, so it has "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx.
    When we create a Crystal Reports with the BEx Query using variable VAR2, and when we run it we got an error message saying "Failed to execute query; '[]<java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: No Selection State Support!ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK>'. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem".  (note: ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK is VAR2 in this case).
    Could anyone please assist? Surely, CR supports BEx customer user exit variables like the above, right?. I also refer to the forum below as it seems to have a similar issue (except mine with an error message), but it does not provide a solution in it.

    We tried that "mandatory" option and did not work either.
    Anyway, SAP has now come back again saying it is something they will fix it in next release/version. We got a phone call from them and a reply below to our OSS.
