wwhat's the cost for dps? I thought there was just a monthly fee per month you pay eg 500$. what is this thinv about paying depended on how small or big your company is, I don't think that should be the case as it's the same service each customer whether your magazine have a subscription base of a 100000 or 1000, should it?
also about this cost per download, what is the cost and why is there a cost? If there is a cost then what will happen if I get 1000 download per month

I did servral settings to acheive Basic Pay Range Restriction(Warning) which uses Job Pricing concept:
1-Define Pay Grades And Levels
In this step, I build a records to describe a payment range for certain evaluation points
2-Create a record of infotype 1050(Evaluation Results) for certain position(let it be 10000001), in which I evaluate this position as 20 points.
3-Assign 10000001 to an employee
But when I input 0008 baisc pay amount for this employee, range check does not happen as expected. Is there any steps I missed?

Urgent question about DPS

We created the app with our technical team, then we started using Adobe DPS for
other clients and are happy with results. We are now wondering if we can
recreate our current app with DPS and still use the same in app purchase
codes so the previous users can still read the issues they bought. Maybe we can
upload the DPS made version under the same app as an update? Can you let us know if this is possible?

These are the steps we plan to follow to recreate our app with dps;
1- we create our (revised) app with DPS App Builder and send it to apple as a revision or an update from our previous app.
2- we create the folios according to the "Product ID" infos.
** do we need to do this after Apple's approval??
3- we want to use the previous in app purchase codes for the exact items in our update (done with dps)
is there a rule for this? its an app update with same items - only looks different b/c done with dps, can we use our previous in app purchase codes?
is there additional info that might be useful to us in any of these steps? or additional steps that we need to follow?

Question about DPS cert store

Starting to migrate my 5.2 DPS to 6.3. I see that DPS uses cert.jks instead of key3.db like DS does (I love consistency). Since I have to use keytool (I'm new to that) to manage the database, how do I know what the database password is if I have turned prompt off? I would like to keep prompt turned off but when using keytool, it prompts me for the password and I have no idea what it is.

Hi,
You can either use raw keytool command or dpadm *-cert clis to manage your java key store. I would recommend using the latter as it automatically passes the right password to keytool and deals with a couple of tricky details.
For your info, in prompt-off mode, the password is kept in <dps_instance_root>/etc/pass.txt . It is stored offuscated. So if you need the plain text password, swap first 2 bytes, then base64 decode.

Orientation question about dps

I have a dps project with the main orientation portrait and containing 1 page. I want also create a landscape layout witch contains 2 pages (portrait page 1 and landscape page 1 & 2) I create a folio with both orientations. When i flip i go from page 1 (portrait) to page 1&2 landscape. Identical for the page 2. But when i swipe in de landscape i have 2 identical pages next to each other? I want this double pages gone in my landscape mode. can anyone help me?

I have to implement SAP on a Indian company and I'm verifying all particularity about this country (in particular tax procedures and the great number of differents tax conditions used).
I have two questions about tax procedures and pricing schemas. Every feedback about thse points will be appreciated.
a) To choose tax procedure TAXINN or TAXINJ which are the elements that I have to consider?
I have read lot of documentation about CIN implementation and Iu2019m oriented to choose TAXINN schema, but If possible I would to understand better which are on behalf of one choice or another.
b) To define pricing schemas for India, after check with local users and using examples of documents (in particular tax invoice) actually produced, I have understood that taxes have to be applied on amount defined starting from price list, minus discounts recognized to customer plus surcharges eventually to bill (packing, transport, etc.).
Itu2019s correct for any type of taxes that tax amount is calculated on u201Cnet valueu201D defined at item level or there are exceptions to this rule?

a) About point 1 I know the difference between the 2 tax procedures (conditions or formulas). I also have read in others post in the FORUM that TAXINN is preferable. So I would to understand which are the advantages to choose instead TAXINJ. There are particular reasons or it'a only an alternative customizing setting?

1-First,my sale order use pricing procedure RVAA01.
2-Next,the pricing procedure RVAA01 have some condition type,such as EK01(Actual Costs),PR00(Price)....,and so on.
3-Next,the condition type PR00 define the Access Sequences PR00 as it's Access Sequences.
4-Next,the Access Sequences PR00 have some Condition tables,such as:
     table 118 : "Empties" Prices (Material-Dependent)
     table 5 : Customer/Material
     table 6 : Price List Type/Currency/Material
     table 4 : Material
5-Next,I need to maintain Condition tables's Records.Such as the table 5(Customer/Material).I guess the sap would supply one screen for me to input the data of table 5.At this screen,the sap would ask me to select one table,such as table 5.When I select the table 5,the sap would go to the screen to let me input the data of table 5.But when I use the T-CODE VK31 or VK32 to maintain Condition tables's Record,I found it's total different from my guess:
A-First,I can not found one place for me to open the table,such as table 5,to let me input the data?
B-Second,For example,when I select the VK31->Discounts/Surcharges->By Customer/Material,the sap show the grid view at the right side.At the each line of the grid view,you need to select the Condition Type at the first field.And this make me confused very much.Why the sap need me to select one Condition Type but not the Condition table?To the normal logic,it ought not to select Condition table but not the Condition Type!

You said that you are using the T.codes VK31 or VK32.
These transaction codes are used to enter condition records for standard condition types. As you can see a grid left side having all the standard condition types like price, discounts, taxes, frieghts.
Pl check using T.code VK11 OR VK12 (change mode)
Here you can enter the required condition type, in the intial screen. (like PR00, MWST, K004, K005 .....etc)
After giving the condition type, press enter or click on Combinations icon on top of the screen. Then you can see all the condition tables which you maintained for that condition type. Like as you said table 118, table 5, table 6 and table 4.
You can select any table and press enter, then you can go into the screen in which you have all the field cataglogues you maintained for that table. For example you selected combination of Customer/Material (table 5) then after you press enter then you can see customer field on top, and material fields.
You can give all the required values and save the conditon record.

We don't use the vado anymore since the camera is always with us.
Factor into the price of the Canon also purchasing a highspeed 6GB sd card.

Note how they reduced the recording time of the new models to only 4gb instead of 8gb.....however, the newer units nati'vely record to MP4 which is a little easier on some software programs than the AVI container.

A question about upgrades and mroe upgrades

I've got a question about the upgrade sequence and costs thereof
I have CS5.5 Production Premium. Suppose I upgrade to CS6 production Premium. If, when CS6.5 comes out and I decided to upgrade, would it be considered an upgrade from 5.5 or 6 for pricing purposes?
I presume the older the software the more expensive the upgrade but if I'm upgrading from my CS6 upgrade would it be considered an upgrade from CS5.5 9the original suite) or an upgrade from CS6?

You have a CS5.5 now. Now, you upgrade to CS6.
When CS6.5 come out. It will be considered as an upgrade from CS6 (and not CS5.5 which is your original suite). Hope this is clear

When clicking the botton "copy condition" via VK34, an error message pops up. It says the error is due to no definition of select rule. I use the standard condition record PR00.
Q1: How to define "select rule"?

This Unicode problem occurs mainly with pricing reports (recognized by report names that start with /1SDBF12L/RV14AK).
To regenerate these, call transaction V/LE or use transaction SE38 to execute the report RV14ALLE.
Leave the selection screen empty and execute (F8).
See SAP note 497850.

We are finishing our first publication with DPS.
We have a Adobe DPS Professional Edition, Annual version.
1- I have been planning to launch the App in iPad and Android for free and in three days to put the price at $9,00. Is that possible?
2 - How much time needs Apple to approve our appliction?
3- I have read that you can't publish a single folio app in Android. Why?
What is the option

On android a .apk app is limited to 50 mb. Additional Content up to 4GB can
be loaded by the app on its first start.
This need a change in workflow for the android version on the viewer side.
And it may be political, too.

I have got 3 important questions about SAP HANA.

- Our Company has all up about 150 SAP - Systems.
- 12 Systems are ERP-Systems.
=> We consider about SAP HANA at the moment.
=> Is it possible to put all the 12 ERP-Systems in ONE SAP HANA or do I need one seperate HANA for each ERP-System?
=> If it is possible, can you tell me the disadvantages when I use 1 HANA for the 12 ERP-Systems.
=> Is there a Storage-Limit in the HANA (I think no, because of 64 bit).
=> Can I still make realtime-analytics with 1 HANA for 12 SAP Systems?

=> Can I run ONE HANA with different non-SAP-Systems?
3.
=> Is there a Demo-Center from SAP or IBM, where I can test and see the HANA before I buy it?
(I do not mean the Fujitsu TDS Demo Center)

There are no disadvantages as of now.. improve existing planning, forecasting, pricing
optimization and other processes

There is no limit on Stotrage: You need check how much Data you need on RAM (Real time processing) Storage.Minimum you can buy is 64 GB and multiple of it for (RAM)

YEs you can run HANA for 3rd party S/W or non-sap systems for your real time anlytics.
It has ODBC and JDBC both and you can combine it with other systems.

Adobe DPS Pricing

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to see if anyone could clarify some things for me on the DPS pricing, I'm set to launch my 1 time digital magazine so in doing this I must pay the $495 platform fee plus choose which .folio download option I want, my question is what happens if I purchase the 10,000 folio option but by magazine is only downloaded 5,000 times, what happens to the exta .folios? Thanks.

No problem! It's nice to have unlimited downloads without fees (Except of course the 30% cut that Apple takes...)
As for the time it takes for Apple to approve does vary a little bit. Usually it takes 6-7 days (I've never had an app approved less than 6 days), yet sometimes it can take 12-14 days depending on the amount of apps they are reviewing, the content you supply for the app, etc. There are at least 50 different factors that could go into their decision making and amount of time spent on reviewing your app. Keep in mind that if your app gets rejected, it can take longer as you then have to fix the "mistakes" and resubmit. Sometimes I've had that happen and I've had it take another 6-7 days before it would finally get approved. I had one multi-issue viewer app that took 5 weeks before it was finally approved.
I don't mean to scare you -- I just want to make you prepared for the monster called Apple and how their dictatorial style of app regulation can affect your app release date significantly!
