Question about Quads (how do I view them from both sides?)

Hi guys. Well I just started using Java3D...I've used Open GL in C++ for a little while so I had some experience coming in. I got a world up where you can move the camera around and rotate it and stuff and I can load Quads and their texture coordinates from a text file...but for some reason no matter what I try the polygons can only be viewed from one side. It just so happens that this is sometimes the side that I want to be able to see. Can someone help me with this? Thanks,

For some reason this line worked:
(Attributes)a.setPolygonAttributes(new PolygonAttributes(PolygonAttributes.POLYGON_FILL, PolygonAttributes.CULL_NONE, 0));
so I guess it just has to do with the getPolygonAttributes...I'll use this for now but I hope that POLYGON_FILL does not mess up anything although I don't think it will...I just don't fully understand it yet. Oh well thanks again! If it wern't for the PolygonAttributes information I wouldn't have been able to solve it. Now any ideas on my other post about rotating in two planes hehe? Thanks,

If you go to the Photos app, is there content in the Photo Library? These would be pictures that are synced to the phone from the computer. Photos in the camera roll are those that you take with the phone, or save from email, MMS on the phone. What type of pictures are you trying to get rid of? If you are trying to get rid of the synced photos, you need to connect to iTunes, select the iPhone in the device pane, then go to the Photo tab in iTunes and remove the check mark by sync.

it's less powerful than your average computer. THink of it like a netbook but with a better processor.
It'll do fine for surfing (although if you browse a lot of flash based sites you will need to get a third party browser since safari doesn't accommodate it)
You may do OK on reading books, papers or magazines, especially if they have apps, but the ipad's screen is backlit, so it doesn't work well outdoors and you may need to fiddle with the brightness so that you don't get eye strain (it's just like doing too much reading from a computer screen)
I would say the biggest short comings are data transfer. Apple's preferred work flow is that everything is done via iTunes or the internet....well people dont' always have 100% reliable always on internet access so you can find yourself in a situation where you can't get things on/off the iPad.
By and large, it's a good device for day to day stuff, but is not a computer replacement.

I had the same problem a year ago when I did an iOS upgrade. Now if I receive an important photo I save it to the Camera Roll
No way I know of to retrieve them unless you have a very recent backup to restore from maybe?

Let me first say that I am NO EXPERT with anything Apple and really have only started looking into this iCloud stuff a few hours ago because I'm trying to help my mom free up some space on her iCloud. But anyway, here's what I'm learning and what I THINK might be happening to you.
Also, if any Apple support people (do they browse the forums to dish out helpful hints?) or people who probably know infinitely more than me about this stuff, please do chime in and confirm / correct my statements!
This is what I gather.
iCloud for Windows is set up with a local folder (let's call it "C:\Users\Administrator\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream") where iCloud will store photos uploaded to the Photo Stream. This will allow you to view your Photo Stream photos on your PC.
This does not mean that this is a PC backup of your Photo Stream photos, but just a way to view your Photo Stream from your PC. That being said, the general Photo Stream rules apply: 1. No videos are on the photo-stream, and 2. Photos on the Photo Stream will be removed after ~30 days and/or after hitting the Photo Stream limit of 1000 photos.
My guess is that the iCloud Windows App will delete photos from the local folder that are older than ~30 days and/or delete all but the most recent 1000 items if the 1000-item limit is reached.
That is a scary thought! I really hope you did not lose all your pictures, but my guess is that the iCloud local folder is NOT meant for backup but instead is the iCloud Windows App's sandbox for updating and managing Photo Stream photos.
All that being said, I'd say it's important to back up your photos in a separate folder not related to the iCloud local folder.

You may want to post machine info.

Most of the iMac's have sometype of video output port on the back. You will problably need a converter.
The 'hollywood' industry has been making it more difficult to get video out over time to prevent copying.

Once you're on a spammer's list, there's nothing you can do to stop the flood of e-mail messages. You can either control it, using spam filtering (which is what files those messages in the Junk Mail folder), or you can throw out your e-mail address and get a new one.
It's sad, but spam is simply a fact of life at this point, and there's nothing to be done about it. Legislation has been tried, with zero success, since most spam either comes from countries with no legislation or from personal computers that have been infected with malware and are part of a "botnet."

What are these shared computers and how do I remove them from Finder?

I have four Macs on my closed, hidden wifi network. Two iMacs and Two macbooks. For some reason, two unknown computers are showing up on the network, but only on two out of the four macs, one imac and one macbook, incedentally the two units with built in SD card readers. They are: hp0025b3e8a8ca and hp3c4a921329ca. I'll post a screen shot. They both have one folder called MEMORY_CARD and I can't open it. I've double checked, I don't have SMB sharing enabled on any of my macs. They have the little icon associated with a windows machine. Any idea what these are and how I can remove them from finder? is someone else on my network?

How are u connected, as in ISP, University Network, etc.? I get shares like that too, as my ISP here in Nepal is using some crazy way of sharing connections with customers. I called and asked them once, but they have not clue about Macs. I suspect it's a technician doing some work in the office, who is tapped into the same C1 connection that I am using, but it is a bit disconcerting to see computers you don't know on your Network.
When I teach in Thailand, I am on a university system that will show all the users connected to the same hotspot. That's why I lock down my sharing when there. It's kinda crazy, as I don't really understand all the security settings and what they imply.
