You dont have to be a Javascript wizard for any of this, I certainly am not!
The row highlight on mouseover is a built-in feature of HTML DB that just has to be enabled by going to the Report Template page. For example:
1. Go to the Page Definition screen
2. In the right hand column (Shared Components), under Templates, all the templates used by various components on your page are listed.
3. Click on the Report template that you are interested in
4. Go to the Row Highlighting section on that page
5. Specify colors for the Background color for Checked row and Current row in #RRGGBB format
Thats it!
To click anywhere on the row, just follow the instructions I had in that other thread

the HTML source code of the page.Sure you did. Just look at the HTML source of the page and see how the Edit link is rendered. Actually, you dont even have to View source, you can just hover your mouse over the Edit button and see the link.
What is the relevance of ('a')[0] in the command
above ?getElementsByTagName('a') returns an array (collection). In this case, there is only 1 A tag in the first column (pThis.firstChild). But since it returns an array, you need to reference the first element in the array [0].
So getElementsByTagName('a')[0] gives you the A node. Just pick the HREF attribute of this node to get your link. Voila! -

Thank youMy example is a variant of the master's example (Carl Backstrom) of a similar nature.
Basically, the styling is done with a Javascript in the region footer, so you can apply it to anything. The code is

}Basically, the select list option value itself is the color name.
Things get a little trickier in a tabular form because you have many select lists, but I think the basic concept should hold good. The above code just grabs a specific select list and loops over its options. You would need to wrap it in another loop to grab all the select lists in your tabular form and do the same thing.

1) When many tabs are opened in multiple rows (say 50 or 100) it may take an enternity for them to close after I click the appropriate command
2)MOre often than not, it takes the browser too long to appear (open) after I initiat it by clicking the desktop or start menu icon.

Best regards, Dmitry.Sorry about the bookmarks misread, I installed a Multi-Row Tab style, not for me but it in use deleted 126 of 130 tabs in about 3 seconds and then the last 4, no idea why that happens with the with the multi-row style.
Did those 100 pages have web forms in them that you filled in an Firefox may be saving data along with the session.
Here is a test page that you can quickly load up to 120 tabs at a time with an extension such as "Linky". See it if it takes an eternity to close them with the Multi Row tabs extension you are using, then try the same with the extension disabled. Works fast for me all tabs are on one row.

And FWIW, I hate trackpad click. Whenever I try to help someone on a laptop which has it on by default, I end up clicking on everything when I'm only trying to move the mouse pointer. So I'm ecstatic that Apple is smart enough to turn it off by default. But I agree that people who have been trained to use this horrible feature ought to have it as an option. But I'm hoping Apple provides the option of focus-follows-mouse for Mac OS X first. -

I have a page in which the top is php to read a table from the server, and post the table as the html page is being built.
The data come up as a table, and each row is clickable, that click moving the user to a different page, based on the row clicked.

All the "stuff" loaded onto the page just fine, BUT, absolutely nothing happens when I click a row.
Playing around this afternoon, I did a "View Source" on both pages, and saw something VERY interesting;
1 - The table written by PHP is present, can be seen, and therefore is "clickable" to the jquery .click function.
2 - The table written by javascript is INVISIBLE! I cannot see it in the source view (but I can see it on the screen) and therefore the .click function can't see it either.
Questions:
1. How can I make the table written in javascript "clickable" - how can I make the javascript table "visible"?
2. Could it be the use of ".html" to post the table to the div? Is there another way?
And again, I thank you in advance for any help.I found the solution to my problem, and perhaps my comments here will help others.
Thinking a bit more, I wrote a separate javascript routine that created a table, allowed it to be styled, and allowed it to be clickable.

The initial code I posted was creating the table the wrong way.
You have to create the WHOLE table at the same time, and post it all at once.
The code above does that.
My learning points are:
1. To create a table in javascript, and post it with a $("#puttablehere").html(output); call, you must put the ENTIRE table into that single string variable called "output" (or whatever you want to call it).
2. Everytime you call a jqeury .html function like this: ---("#puttablehere").html(output); -- It COMPLETELY over-writes the whole div/tr/td block that it is pointed at.
3. If you create a table in javascript (client side) you cannot see it with "View Source" - because what is posted in the table is AFTER the DOM is loaded.
Creating a table with php server side - you CAN see, because it is posted with the DOM.
So I thank you for your ideas, and I hope this may help another noob, such as myself, in the future.

What's the best way to determine which row a user clicked on via a link?
Hello. Probably simple question, but my googleing is failing me. I have a table, with a column that is a command link. How can I determine which row the user clicked on? I need to take that value, and pass it to a different page to bind it for a different query. I was thinking of setting the result in a session bean? Or is there a better way?

1. (Complex) Have your ActionListener evaluate the event to get the source, then climb the component tree up to the table and get the current row data;
2. (Simple) Add a setPropertyActionListener to the link with value="#{var}" target="#{destination}" where var is the table's var attribute value and destination is your managed bean that required the clicked row.

Delete datagridview row using right click context menu does not behave like the delete key
I have a datagridview with editing enabled. If I click the row header and press the delete key, the row is removed no questions asked. I don't recall doing any coding to make this happen but I couldn't do copy and paste using keys so I created a context
menu with copy, paste, & delete. The delete option calls

The row is removed but the problem is this fires other events like RowValidating which fails. I presume because the row is no longer there.
The delete keypress is definitely a lot cleaner so my question is 3fold.
1) Why doesn't Rows.RemoveAt behave like the delete key?
2) Is it possible to issue a delete keypress to do the same thing?
3) Is it possible to suppress the RowValidating event or other events when Rows.RemoveAt is fired?Interesting. My delete key does not fire the row validating event. When I use the delete key I click on the row header which does fire the row validating event and then I press the delete key. Row is deleted and no event fires. Works

Got a question: As far as I understood, the BB8120 has a 64Mb on board flash memory. However, since the very 1st day I got it, when I check "Avaiable memory" under "Status" it only shows me between 19 and 21 Mb. I`m not sure where the rest of the aproximatly 40Mb is..... applications? My understanding was that the BB has 64Mb left to play with.....

The Blackberry had 64mb total device memory. Every application runs in device memory.
The media card is only for data storage, not applications. The more applications you use
the more device memory is used. 15mb of device memory is considered low. When you
dip below that you will have SMS, call logs, and messages deleted. This is a "life saving"
procedure by the Blackberry to provide as much memory as possible for all functions.

This actually works - it creates an order in which the long text begins with what is in the variable SCRN_PROBLEM1 and continues with what is in i_txt concatenated together. So I get, for example:

The only problem is that the BDC doesn't go thru on its own. When I change 'N' to 'E', the BDC brings up a screen with the title:
"Change order text header Alternative Language EN"
Then, when I just "back-arrow" from this, the BDC does complete successfully and I can see the correct text saved for the order in IW32.
What am I doing wrong to cause this "change order text header" screen to come up? Is it the "LTXK" value of the OK-CODE in the first dynpro call above?
Or maybe something with my default user parameters? I had to set quite a few of these in order to get the BDC to go with just a system, priority, and short text/long text.
I'm really hoping you can see what's going on here because I'm at a loss.

BTW, I'd try the BAPI except the documentation specifically says it won't observe user default parameters and this is a must in our situation.

Please read my question carefully, this is, I think, a question for the experts. It's not the usual name change question.
When I setup my new MacBook Pro, something slipped by me and my computer was named First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro (using my real first and last name).
I changed the computer name in Preferences/Sharing to a new name and Preferences/Accounts to just be Mike. I can right click on my account name, choose advanced, and see that everything looks right.
However, If I do a scan of my network with my iPhone using the free version of IP Scanner, it lists my computer as First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro! And it lists the user as First-Last.
So even though another Mac just sees my new computer name, and my home folder is Mike, somewhere in the system the original setup with my full name is still stored. And it's available on a network scan. So my full name might show up at a coffee shop.
Can I fully change the name without doing a complete re-install of Lion and all my apps?One thought... you said the iPhone displayed your computer's old name? I think that you must have used the iPhone with this computer before you changed the name. So no one else's iPhone should display your full name unless that iPhone had previously connected to your Mac. For example, I did this exact same change, and I use the Keynote Remote app to connect with my MacBook Pro. It would no longer link with my MacBook Pro under the old name, and I found that I had to unlink and then create a new link under the new name. So the answer to your question is, there is nothing you need to do on the Mac, but rather the phone, and no other phone will display your full name.
