Question over warrenty

Hello into the round.
I need times Empiric reports to the warranty and delivery time of Apple products. I bought a Apple Mac Book Pro 15. Calculation dated on the 2,7. and this is the internal date of despatch of Apple.
Until today I did not receive the equipment yet -- but if starting from purchase date the warranty runs, I am already cheated in the warranty up to the supply around 2 weeks. Is there for it a solution?

The standard warranty in the US is one year from date of purchase; apparently the conditions are the same in Germany (anscheinend sind die Garantiebedingungen in Deutschland genauso):

You are talking about the partially transparent grey bar that appears when hovering over an answer in the Sequence type of questions. There is no style that can be customized AFAIK. It is not even changing with the included themes. Same is valid for the connecting lines in matching questions that are always black, color cannot be changed for them neither. It is a pity, would recommend you enter a feature request to be able to customize the color of both the hover bar and those lines.

Thumbnails Grayed out with Question over them

I have several thumbnails that are grayed out with a white question mark over the thumbnail which indicates that it has "lost" the original photo. However, the photo is in the Finder/Pictures and the name has not been changed.
How do I get iPhoto to "find" the photo?
Must I re-import it to iPhoto?

Are you sure it's a "?" instead of an "!" ? In any case try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
Fix #2
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be untouched for further attempts at fixing or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
Fix #3
Start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
2. Open the library package like this.
3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
4. Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.

Why does Apple keep asking me to reset my security questions over and over again? How do they expect us to remember if we have to keep redoing it over and over again on the same day?

ME54N Release strategy question over delivery tolerance limits

I set up a release strategy base on the over delivery tolerance level. My problem is when a Purchase requisition is saved as rejected, and i click on the button cancel reject it deletes the last release strategy level because now it is looking at the actual total value disregarding the over delivery tolerance level.
It works fine when the Purchase requisition is not rejected, and i can cancel or reject the purchase requisition without saving it and it does not delete the last line of the release strategy taking into account the over delivery tolerance level. I am using the user exit ZXM06U13.
Can someone give me some insight into this ? Thanks.

Question over extending home network

Quick question please: I use a Time Capsule connected to a BT Home hub 3 for wifi at home. Works generally fine though patchy signal downstairs - question is, if I want to extend coverage indoors as currently some poor signal areas, would using Airport Extreme in addition to the time capsule be my best bet? It is not practical to run an ethernet cable so am I am right that I would site the Airport extreme in area of good signal downstairs and that should boost downstairs signal?

Either an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme could be used to extend the wireless network provided by the Time Capsule.
The only real advantage to using the AirPort Extreme would be that you can connect a hard drive to its USB port. The USB port on the Express will only support a compatible printer.
so am I am right that I would site the Airport extreme in area of good signal downstairs and that should boost downstairs signal?
Correct. The general rule of thumb would be that an extending device should be located approximately 1/2 to 2/3 the distance from the Time Capsule to the general area that will need more wireless coverage.
Depending on walls, ceilings, or other obstructions, you may need to experiment with the placement of the extending device for best results.

A question over the link between materials and substances

As we know, the data of substances in EHS module is connected to the data of materials in MM module.
But If one material is a mixture, and it has several components of substances in it. How can I make several substances connected with one material in SAP release 6.0?
And the 2nd question is:
Is that possible to make one substance identified by several UN numbers?
This is my first time to come here. I really hope that somebody could help me.

regarding your question (hitlist display of more than one UN number per specification) => to my knowledge there is only a "workaround" possible.
As explained by Jayakumar only one identifier per specification can be shown in hitlist. Please take a look in customizing: the number and type etc. of identifer shown in hitlist can be customized. The same is true in properties of type "composition/Spec listing" etc.
This so called "identifier listing"(Hitlist = D_HITLIST) but it is very "static" and not dynamic. But even if you enhance the set up a little bit (which can be done using some programming without modification etc.) the restriction is that in the hitlist etc. only one ! identifier will be shown.
But you could program an output variant to do the job. Using that output variant you could display any identifer which is maintained on the level of a specification. Out put variants are the "standard user exit type" used very often in EH&S to display something (e.g. data maintained on specifciation level) on the screen there no output variant is provided by SAP.
IN higher releases (starting from I believe SAP 2004) there is a new output variant (I believe called SUB_DATA) which can be used as a starting point to create your customer specific variant.
The normal DG SAP data model is like this:
per LS_UN_SUB only one UN Number is maintained. Using EH&S you can later find any real substance which have a "link" to this LS_UN_SUB (there is a standard query available in EH&S to do this research).
May be this helps too.

How do you get Firefox to remember the response sent to remember password for a web site and not ask over and over? The desktop version has a dialog box that you can check that says "Don't ask me this again". The mobile version doesn't. A real pain!

If warranty is deemed valid and your device can't be repaired then you will be sent a replacement but your old device won't be returned to you unfortunately.

Question over the appraisal status change

Dear All,
Our appraisal has ( following the flexible template ) has planning, mid year review and final phases. With in each main status we have sub status configured. Example - In the planning stage ( say in the month of February ) , employee add objectives, change weights etc and send to manager for approval. If manager approves, the document status will be changed from planning to mid year status and employee's form is changed to the display mode ( so he cannot update objectives / weight etc)
Then again in the mid year status ( say a few months later - June ist ), the employee needs to review the appraisal, add or update the objectives etc and submit for manager approval.
My issue is - After the employee's appraisal form is changed to display only from planning to review status - How the employee's appraisal form can be changed from a read only to change mode in the same status ? As it is necessary for employee to add/ update in the form.
I am seeking the best approaches for the below as I am considering two options ( as mentioned below )
1) For the mid year status , I will configure a sub status ( called start mid year ) and attach a push button. The employee select the push button during the mid year period ( say June 1st ) and this push button triggers the status change from Mid year to Mid Year / Start Mid year. We also plan to apply a custom implementation for BADI for column access and badi (HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS) will decide the access control for columns etc.
2) The other approach I am considering is we are considering a workflow (INFO_APPRAISEE_CHANGE_REVIEW ) to notify th employee 7 days before the mid year review starts. Can this workflow trigger the status change or read the column access from the BADI (HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS) ?
Any other simpler approaches ?
I saw in the Process config ( tabs and process ) that we can define the phase with dates and status / substatus etc. Can this be useful for the above scenario. For eg. On June 1st when the mid year review start, can the status be changed like from Mid year to Mid Year / Start Mid year ?

Hi Aneez, both options are great, HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS is configurable at each sub-status, so you have many options. You can have the manager "approve" at beginning of year, but keep it in "in planning" by having a 3rd sub-status.
You can have the employee or manager have access to the pushbutton so that mid-term can start.
you can also do a workflow option where it is changed automatically, your option 2.
the final option is the HR adminstrator can change the status, by doing a mass select in phap_admin and then they change to the status to move it to "in review" with all of your mid-term substatuses.
they key to making this work is the additional config that goes along with HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS. here you will want to do define a Z table with the following columns:
object id - your template ID
role - which are the same roles values defined at your template - apee for apraisee
template status - integer - represents status ID
template sub-status - ID
column id - FAPP, OBJO, etc..
availability indicator (char) - here you will configure H, X etc... which the badi uses to know how to handle it.

Jabber/WebEx Connect SSO Questions

I've got a few questions around exactly what needs to be done to get SAML working for our Connect accounts to successfully authenticate from Jabber for Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android.
We have both a Meeting Center and Connect account under WebEx using Loose Coupled Integration. Just this past week I enabled SAML for our Meeting Center accounts which went off without a hitch with the exception of Meeting Center integration with Jabber, which is now broken with a message about SSO enabled Meeting Sites not being supported (I think this would maybe be fixed if we had Tight Coupled Integration with our two account?).
Anyway, my questions are...
For Windows, I understand all clients will need to be reinstalled with the MSI argument for the SSO_ORG_DOMAIN switch I've read about, is that correct? Are there any other switches needed for the reinstall?
How will this work with the Mac and mobile clients? There's obviously no command line options to specify for the installations here, will they just know to kick over to my IdP for authentication once they see an email address that falls under an org with SSO enabled? If so, why does the Windows client need to be completely reinstalled and not just know to find the IdP from the Cloud Connect service like Meeting Center does with the Productivity Tools?
We're just doing this for our Connect Web IM accounts, not attempting any sort of SSO with the phone accounts/UC integration yet.
Any ideas on getting the Meeting Center integration into Jabber working again?

I am trying to learn ABAP-HR and found that many things that sound different in HR-ABAP can be achieved through normal ABAP below are the some
    1) Infotypes - I had read some where that records get saved horizantally (record1 record2 record3) instead in a vertial save ( record1
                                                      recordn).
       Why is that this type of database design is adapted. Ofcourse these are called repeate structures I guess.
       Why is that infotype need to have self built database table, internal table and structure?
       This is being already handled in Normal ABAP by creating internal table refering database table/structure.
      So my 1st question in the previous to know what is making infotype different than normal way of having a internal table.
    2) Macro - is the precoded select query but that is already coded in TRMAC. My question over this when we can have select query what is the need for the precoded stuff?.
      For example why to have "RP-READ-INFOTYPE" on some Infotype when this can done through Select * from TABLE pA0*** where field1 = 'xxxx' .

When I plug my iPhone 5 into my Macbook air it just repeatedly flashes the trust question whilst vibrating and will not connect. My iPad connect to the macbook fine tho. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I want to connect my iPhone to my macbook to backup all my photos but it just vibrates constantly and flashes the trust computer question over and over.
Any help would be great.

Talked to AppleCare and it's most likely the fact that my MacBook has 3.0 USB ports and my non official charging cable can't support that. So yeah, I'll try a new cable, hopefully that's the fix.

Question regarding the If-then-else function

I have been constantly putting threads on this subject for the past day, hope it doesn't annoy any one here.
My scenario is really simple, and i am almost close to the solution, but there is just 1 thing missing and i know that is a very small thing, could be the context too. Hope some one can help by pointing it out>
Mapping:
In my source i have a header(0-unbounded) & detail(0-unbounded). At a given instant either header / detail will occur in source, depending on that the target node "response" will occur(0-n times)
i have achieved this in the mapping.
the problem is this:
Both the Header/Detail have a field in it called Sequence# which is mandatory and can occur only once in the Header/Detail node.
Now depending on what occurs: ie Header/Detail i need to map that particular seq# into my Target Respone's SEQ_#.
I have done the mapping for this and have done a standalone testing.
Mapping: Check if HEADER EXISTS, if yes? then map the HEADER.Seq# to TARGET.Seq#
Here are my findings:
Scenario1: 3 header nodes(No Detaili) each with a seq # in it. Out put 3 Target node each with 3 seq # in it.
Scenario2: 2 Detail Nodes(No header) each with a seq # in it. Output fails to produce the 2nd Target Structure's Seq# and Fails
When i look into the Display Queue in the mapping , i examine the iF-Then-Else function:
Since HEADER doesn't exist i c 1 Suppress in my If-Condition hence the if condition becomes FALSE., now since its false its supposed to map the seq# from my detail. (This case i have 2 ).
But in the output of the IF-Then Else, i get out only 1 seq # which is the 1st one,
What i am thinking is that the exists condition is giving out only 1 FALSE instead of 2, If there were 2 false from the exists then i would have had both the seq # in my output,
I hope my question is clear, Would appreciate anysort of help . And i apologize if I seem to be brigning up the same question over again experts.
I don't wnt to create a UDF for this matter because i know there is something i am not doing right,
