Radeon 9250 256mb AGP / MS-6712 ... AGP off?
Hi Guys,
Im running a MS-6712. I recently bought a ATI Radeon 9250, now with the catalyst software provided by ATI it says my AGP is turned off and and the card is running as PCI. But under BIOS I have no control over my AGP settings. Everthing is greyed out .. As far as I know I have an updated BIOS. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thank You.
Did you try clearing CMOS ? What Mobo is MS-6712 ? Tell us complete PC Specs. includding P.S.'s AMPS. given to 3.3, 5 and 12v. rails.

[nForce] PowerColor Radeon 9550 256MB AGP
I just received my MB K7N2 Delta2-LSR ver10 and use Live update for all of system, bios, firmware, etc. This is a driver problem that I cannot solve, i get a blue screen crash and a 0x0000008e (etc.) win32k.sys error, I have reformatted the harddrive and reinstalled everything exactly like MSI and TUL/PowerColor requires and I still get the driver blue screen crash after only a few minutes. stays up in safemode well, however, I cannot find the culprit driver, I have done all the tests on the Power Supply, even the silly test on memory that microsoft has and reset the bios, reverted the bios and changed the cell values, does someone know how to get this AGP Board to work, it seems that a lot of you are using the 9550.

HOW DO I GET PAST TEH DRIVER BLUE SCREEN?post psu specs-like mine in signature
run memtest for at least 1 hr bur preferably overnight, should be no errors

what bios you got? b3 is apparently best for stability. b4 and b5 have known issues unless DOT in cell menu is enabled. Mine works fine with everything (high performance and memory) optimised in there with b5. I find that when DOT is enabled it doesn't come out of stand-by regularly causing DOT to disable itself.
I have same motherboard and currently trying b60 (not officially released) but still exhibiting same problems as b5. -
P4MAM2-V & ATi Radeon 9250 PCI problem.....
I am installling ATi Radeon 9250 256Mb PCI video card onto the P4MAM2-V (MS-7095) motherboard.
Somehow, the motherboard cannot detect the VGA card. At first I though the PCI slot problem. Try other cards into all PCI slots- soundcard, modem - all work fine. The video card was taken from my old PC and was working fine. I went into BIOS and change VGA preference from AGP to PCI. Still the motherboard don't detect the VGA card.
Please somebody, help me.
Thanks.

Try disable onboard Video?
Sorry... but how do I do it?
I tried changing the VGA preference in BIOS form AGP to PCI. I can't find anything that says disable onboard video.... Is there any jumper on the motherboard that I have to change?

ATI Radeon 9250 / 23" Apple Cinema Display compatibility
I'm having trouble getting my video card to display properly on my 23" Apple cinema display.
My PC currently has a Diamond Multimedia ATI Radeon 9250 256MB/PCI card in it. The video card has DVI/SVGA/and TV-Out ports.
I'm able to display "ok" when I connect the Apple display to my machine via the DVI port. However, when I try to do something intensive - like watch a DVD, a lot of vertical interference bars appear across the screen. When I close the DVD, the vertical interference bars go away.
However, I'm able to watch a DVD just fine on an SVGA monitor attached to the graphics card with no interference patterns.
The video card is supposed to support DDC technology. I have the most recent drivers for the video card. I've also made sure to disable to the existing integrated Intel GMA 900 video card on the PC. The bios screen does show up on the Apple display.
Any suggestions of things to try before throwing in the towel and saying that this video card really isn't compatible with the 23" Apple cinema display?
If not, any suggestions of inexpensive ones that are?
Thanks,
John
eMachines T5010 Windows XPThis is not an uncommon problem. It's often called dancing pixels or noise/static, so you can search the topic for more info.
Some ATI video cards, with the latest ATI drivers installed, have the option to reduce DVI frequency or use alternate DVI operational mode. Check and see if your video card supports those options, and play around with them if so. Also, you can try using some third-party programs to create a new resolution profile with a refresh rate of 58 or 59Hz instead of the standard 60Hz.
If that doesn't work, I don't know what PCI card to recommend. They're all AGP or PCI Express now. -
Radeon 9250 Blue Screen on Shut Down

Radeon beta windows 7 driver package did not help. Current driver v8.252.0.0 worked fine with Vista 32bit Home Premium. Physically removing 9250 from the PC and using onboard VGA eliminated the blue screen. Reinstalling 9250 brought back the blue screen.

I have a Radeon 9250 (Sapphire AGP model) working fine on my machine, though it took a while to figure it out.
I think it's something to do with the driver you use, though it might be something funny like it's trying to read the secondary monitor output on the card. If you used the Catalyst 8.x drivers for Vista they don't work either. I ended up going on the AMD/ATI website and grabbing the drivers for XP Pro/Home 32-bit and they worked for me.
Try this: Grab this file - Drivers for Radeon 9250 - XP 32bit. It's an auto-exec but won't run under Vista/Win7 so instead explore the file & pull the folders out to your desktop. Next, open up your device manager, then properties for your 9250. On the driver tab hit "Update Driver" and follow the options to manually browse & install the driver yourself. Browse to the folder you pulled out, make sure it's set to search subdirectories, then hit OK. This should do it - the plug & play recognition of the card will kick in once the driver is found. If you've done it right and your card has a secondary monitor output, you'll not only be able to boot without a blue screen but it should automatically find that second output as well.
Thanks bcm02809. I have the PCI version and my current driver is the XP 32bit driver. -
MBO MSI 645 Ultra and Ati Radeon x1650pro 512MB agp
I tried to upgrade my comp. with new graphic card Ati radeon X1650pro, 512Mb, AGP. X1650pro works great 3 days and then colapsed. Radeon 7500 Normal AGP card Without ADC (Used before on Windows Vista PC)
Dear ...
i read in some articals on internet that you can use this kind of Cards "Radeon 7500 Normal AGP card Without ADC (Used before on Windows Vista PC)" with Mac G4 Quicksliver 733Mhz ... just u have to install it and leave Machine on for sometimes till dedicated it is thatture ?

This is usually done while the card is installed in a PC, using a compatible flash utility program and the correct ROM code taken from the Mac version of the same card.

My Geforce NX6600 256mb AGP card. Bad startup.
Hello, I've been having troubles with my computer ever since my last video card fried on me, taking my motherboard with it.
Anyways, what I'm currently running:
MSI NX6600 256mb AGP Video card
Intel 3.2 Processor
Intel D865PERL Motherboard
2 x 256 Mb Corsair DDR Memory
Antec Truepower 430V Power supply. +12V/26A
My PSU Output
+5V | 36A
+12V | 26A
+3.3V | 28A
+5V, +12V & +3.3V Max. Output
410W
Total Max Output
430W
I had my motherboard replaced by intel, and the setup works fine when I install my friend's 5500 Geforce into my cpu. I've also swapped out all of my parts (Processor/Memory) into his and other CPU's and they've all worked fine.
However, when I try my setup with this videocard, the system does not give me any graphical signs of any kind, it's like the cpu is on sleep mode. I don't even get a post from bios or anything.
This is just really frustrating as I cannot figure out what is stopping this card from working... Everything is plugged in fine (I'm not that stupid), I've had no prior bios problems, and this is a new motherboard so it should all be defaulted anyways. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY appreciated, I haven't had a phone call answered or returned in over a week My character is rotting in WoW and he needs to be played, haha. Anyways thanks for reading this.
Edit: Info.
Edit: PSU ChartWell something tricky has occured, I have purchased a new MSI Intel 865PE Neo2-P Motherboard and I tried it out with the 6600.
At first it didn't work, so I tried it with the little floppy-sized power connector on the side of the video card and it worked! ALAS!... It worked for like... 3 days. I was up playing late one night (lineage 2) and everything was working A-OK, I was super stoked that my system was finally up and running. So I power down my pc, wake up the next morning and turn on my PC. Screen is black again :/ I really have no idea what it could be. So I tried later and the floppy sized connector fried when I tried to turn on my PC. I am getting a replacement card by NewEgg, but I tried my setup with my old Geforce 5500 and it didn't work either. I tried later on that day, and it powered up fine... got to the windows login screen, I was happy once again. I went away for a few minutes and came back to see a blue screen notifying me that a hardware malfunction had occurred and that I should contact my hardware vendor...
I really am stuck. I'm not sure if it's my Power Supply that's been acting up or what... but is it likely that when the little floppy power connector on my Video card popped it took anything else with it?
Also, my Mobo and Ram are brand new. Bought them same time.
Thanks in advance

Another topic for MSI NX 7600GS 256MB AGP driver problems
Seems that some of users are having troubles of installing new drivers for NX7600 display adapter. Only drivers supplied with install cd will work with this card. Any other drivers, including MSI’s wont recognise the card.

I´ve being requested to force install Nvidia drivers, but since i have owned several NVidia (TNT2, Geforce 2 Gts, Ti 4800, Fx5900, 6600gti) display adapters, and NEVER i havent had to force install ANY drivers, i am wondering why i have to force install drivers for this display adapter? Why is it so with the Msi? I hope that this product isn´t that bad.
By the way can i have instructions for force installing drivers, if i have to do it. I hope that Msi will give drivers that will work with this card.
Yours,
Samuli
FinlandYes, beta drivers worked for me also! It seems that Nvidia has some sort of bug in it´s latest official forceware release, it does not recognise 7600gs agp display adapter. But i think and hope it will be fixed in future release, before that i have to use beta or the older drivers supplied with msi card. Thanks Yoppy for the tip! By the way you reported that you have video problems with beta drivers, i dont have such problems, div-x and every video file has worked fine so far! So you have to wait for the next release of new drivers.
Yours,

G5 Dual 2.3 (Early April 2005) with Radeon 9650XT (256mb) Driver Question
My system is working fine. Out of curiosity I glanced at the ATI dowloads and saw that the 9650xt (Radeon) for Mac has a driver with a newer date than my computer. As a new Mac user I want to ask: do most of you leave it alone unless you have a problem? Thank you.
G5 Dual 2.3 (Early April 2005) with Radeon 9650XT (256mb) Mac OS X (10.4.9) Have never updated a driver on a Mac before.ATI Support would not comment either so I will contact Apple Support.

K8MM-ILSR PROBLEM with ATI Radeon 9550 of 256MB AGP port 8X...
Hello, I have a motherboard MSI-K8MM-ILSR, when use the onboard video card works correctly, but the problem begins when I install a ATI Radeon 9550 of 256MB, is AGP port 8X and has its dissipator, in other machines it works well and your temperature is ok. My monitor is Samsung Sync Master 793s at 75 Hz. The Problem is the following: the machine crash and the video is distorted and it is congealed, this happens after playing a little, the video card drivers are updated (Catalyst 5,6), I'm use Windows XP Service Pack 1, Thanks... and excuse me my English...
Some other options you can try:
- uninstall the previous vid-drivers and use driver cleaner software to uninstall everything
- disable onboard video in the BIOS;
- set fastwrite to disabled/no (if it's there)
- set AGP Aperture Size to 128 (if it doesn't do anything, go to 64);
- set AGP port to 4x.
- Start hoping .... good luck!
(BTW, the last two options may cause your system to operate slightly slower, but it's hardly worth mentioning ... ) -
How come I can't set my AGP speed to 8x? I try and set it at that then restart my machine and it's still at OFF.
I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and MSI 865PE motherboard that can support 8x?
Am I doing something wrong?yes, install all INF drivers and all updated drives.. INF for sure, those are your chipset drivers.. anyways, with 9800 pro and 865PE board, you dont want/need AGP 8X... performance is NO diferent, and 8X just gives people problems to begin with, me included.. i have mine set at 4X and currently no problems..
