Radio Button GroupBy Key

I need help using the RadioButtonGroupBykey.
I am unable to use it in the application.
I have taken a radiobuttongroupbykey and used this code in initmethod,But i get error (500   Internal Server Error Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator. ).
I have taken an attribute declared in context as selected key .
The following code wriiten in init Method

I am new to dynpro. I created a UI element RADIOBUTTON GROUP BY KEY. I bound the SELECTEDKEY property of it to the attribute of string type. Now in my WDDOINIT , i need to fill the values in the attribute right??? . So shall i use SET_ATTRIBUTE or BIND_TABLE or any other function to fill the values in the attrbiute???

What is the diffrence between "Key to Select" and "Selected Key" while creating Radio Buttons?

While creating radio buttons there is a confusion regarding two properties "Key to Select" and "Selected Key".Can anybody explain it with example?

Key to Select: This is the unique key for each radio button to identify which one is selected
Selected Key: This holds the "KEY" of selected radio button
Example:
   Let us say we have 2 radio buttons : Male & Female
     Create a context attribute SELECTED_KEY of type STRING.
     Create an action ON_SELECT for radio button select event
     Now,
     the properties for "MALE" radio button as below
          KEY_TO_SELECT = 'M'
          SELECTED_KEY = "bind to the context attribute SELECTED_KEY
          OnSelect = 'ON_SELECT'.
     The properties for 'Female" radio button as below
          KEY_TO_SELECT = 'F'
          SELECTED_KEY = "bind to the context attribute SELECTED_KEY
          OnSelect = 'ON_SELECT'.
If we select radio button 'Male', we get the key as 'M' and for 'Female' radio button 'F'.
check inside the event handler method ONACTIONON_SELECT, you get the 'KEY' of selected radio button.
So, the context attribute 'SELECTED_KEY' gets filled with the key of selected radio button

Short cut for Radio buttons (using Ctrl+ key)

How can I select deselect Radio buttons using Ctrl + keys. I know that setMnemonic can be used to access using Alt + key. But I want to use Ctrl also. Please suggest the solution. How can I select using only single key?

Multiple selection with control key in ring, enum, or radio buttons on Speedy-33 ?

Hi all,
I want to create a list of entries via ring, enum, or radio buttons. I just want the user to be able to select more than one entry from the list.. This is normally doable with windows applications by using control key. However, how could I do the same thing or let the user choose more than one entry from the list? Any idea is greatly appreciated..

To answer your question, I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a ring, enum, or radio button control exhibit the "CTRL+click" behavior you're describing. (In fact, I think all of those user interface elements are designed specifically so that only one value can be selected at any one time.)
However, I have seen plenty of list boxes allow multiple selection, and LabVIEW's list boxes can do the same. A group of checkboxes can also end up looking like radio buttons if you group them with some "decoration" and would allow you to select multiple options (because you can check/uncheck each box independently).
I'm not quite sure, though, how your question relates to LEGO specifically. Did you accidentally post this question to the wrong discussion forum?
To address Eagles Coach's statements, the official Move block uses checkboxes in the "Port" section of the configuration pane in the MINDSTORMS software, not radio buttons. The Motor block uses mostly radio buttons, and I didn't see any sections that allow multiple selections.

Primary Key radio button not working

Hello
I created a toplink probject on my MacOS X 10.4.6 machine using JDev 10.3.1.0.4 SU2.
It works well, but when I click the toplink map, then I click my definition under structure to the right.
I have a view with:
Associated table: <popup>
Primary keys:
<radio button list>
Sequencing:
The problem is located at the radio button list of the primary keys, if I click a radio button, the XML description file is updated, but I visualy see nothing, all radio buttons are always not selected.
As a workaround, I click the pk I want, and then I verify the XML file for correct selection.
Hope it will be fixed.

Changing look from MacOS X to Oracle.
But I hope it will get fixed, MacOS look is better with text anti-aliasing.

Andy's Region Blur - Hot key for "center" radio button???

Hi... I am loving Andy's Region Blur! I have an ongoing project editing courtroom footage that requires concealing multiple identities. Andy's Region Blur is HUGE!!! Since I am using it extensively, i am trying to figure out how to assign the "center" radio button to a hot key on a FCP keyboard. Does anyone know if this is possible??? It's the little things that make the difference...

I think you might have to ask Andy to tweak the FXscript to enable such a feature... not sure...

How do you grey out/disable fields under a radio button if another radio button is selected in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?
I’m creating a form where the user has three options to make a payment.
1. charge to my credit card
2. charge associated costs to bank account
3. By cheque or money order
My Problem is, under each option, there are required fields that has to be filled out. So if the user picks the first option, charge to my credit card, they would fill out the required fields (credit card number, expiration date etc.). But when they click submit button to submit the form, it won’t let them, because there are required fields under the second option. Also, I have the radio buttons for the three options setup so that if the user holds the shift key and clicks a radio button, it unchecks it. So what I'm trying to do is this: If the user selects the radio button for option 1, the other two options are greyed out/disabled. And if the user holds down the shift key and clicks radio button for option one again, it unchecks the radio button and the other two options are available again. Is there a way to grey out or disable the two other payment options when the other one is picked. I’m assuming I will have to use javascript, but what would the coding be and which field do I write it under?

You will have to use custom JavaScript to access the various properties of the field object.
The radio button group has a value. When no button is selected that value is "Off". When an individual button has been selected the value for the group will be the option or export value for that individual button.
Once you have determined the button selected, then you will know the form fields that need to be made required. You use JavaScript to access those fields and change the "read only" property to false, and set the "required" property to true. For the fields associated with the other options, those fields should be reset, made read only, and have the "required" property set to false.
Disabling (graying-out) Form Fields

Radio button in a PDF do not work that way. Only check boxes can be unchecked by clicking on one that has been checked.
If you plan the coding for the Mouse UP action to test for all possible options and code for each of those options you should have what you want.
If you want actual code you need to provide a lot more details.
It is even possible to perform some credit card and bank routing number validations with JavaScript and some check digit formulas.

Cannot click radio buttons after Windows Updates

Hello,
We approved the following Office updates back in December and since then, our users cannot click radio buttons in Word documents. This month, we pushed all updates stated in the following article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3025036
We've also removed .exd files from users' computers and this still hasn't resolve our issue. This is critical for us as we use these documents across the entire organization. Please help!
I've tested this both on Office 2013 click-to-run and Office 2010 with the same results. 2013 is the latest version and I've deleted .exd for this as well, using Fix It, script and manually.

I have downloaded The toshiba Value added package and most of the 30 odd items have downloaded and installed but the following error messages occured

Radio button to determine what text is put into the body of an email

No matter what I try, it always put all of the choices in the body of the email, not just the one I checked. any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks Erick

First off welcome to the group! Livecycle can be an interesting program.
For me I am not very technically proficient in coding so I tend to gravitate to, how you say, less than elegant solutions. What I do is create an Email Submit button for each Radio button. Then I create a dummy Email Submit button (this part will be key later). From the Object Library view on each Email Submit button I set the Email Address and Email Subject that I want. Then I hide all of the Email Submit buttons with the exception of the dummy Email Submit button. From the Action Builder I then create an action on the dummy Email Submit that when the button is clicked to open a dialog box to say "Please Select an Option". I then create an action within the Action Builder on each Radio button to show the corresponding Email Submit button that has the subject line I need while also making sure to hide the dummy Email Submit button (and any other buttons if the user clicks several radio buttons). That worked for me in the past. Then I added a DocuReady event on the dummy Email Submit button to make sure it was visible and the other buttons were hidden once the form was open. Sort of a reset if you will. The downside is if the user changes nothing they still get a prompt to save the changes. I am sure that some of our more advanced coders can offer a fix to your code lines, but that is sort of the non-coder way to go about this.
Edit: Oh I forgot to say that if you want the buttons to appear the same to the user, just overlay them together. To the user there is no change.

Using radio button selection in multiple tables

Hello All,
I've got a bit of a design issue and it being a Friday my brain is a bit foggy and I can't seem to figure out a solution.
what I want to do is have 3 tables. The user should only be able to select one line from any of the three tables.
I can do this by having events that clear down selection on the two other tables on any selection of the third, but the select buttons of tables don't really give the UI impression that only one row can be selected. To do this I'd like to use the radio button element.
so
table A
choice - name
(o) - Anne
(o) - Bob
(o) - Charlie
Table B
choice - name
(x) - David
(o) - Ellen
(o) - Fran
Table C
choice - name
(o) - George
Here the entry in table B for David is selected. But any selection of any of the other options should deselected.
My thoughts are to use a radio button ui element, bind the "selected" value to a unique id for each row/table (an attribute of the node element for each table) and the value to a common shared attribute (not table specific).
Any better ideas - and certainly any which would mean I'm not going to have to maintain a lookup table of my unique ids and node elements to find out which one is selected?

Ok - here's how I did it.
I created another lookup table which had a guid and reference to the element.
in the each elements I had a guid which I bound to the key for selection property of the radio button in the table.
I then bound the selected key property to an attribute that was common to all elements.
in my "processing" logic I read the selected key, read the lookup table - and therefore got the reference to the selected element.
Would have been an awful lot easier if I could have used a reference to the element itself as the "key" - but that was required to be a character field.

Radio button in BEx variable screen

I want in a report to find the value of Key figure in absolute or not .
There must be a radio button in the varible screen to populate KF either in absolute or as it is .
Display absolute ( Yes or No) : .......
If yes it will show the KF only in absolute else it will show only as it is .
How should I approach ?

create two kf.
1st, your kf.
2nd (calculated) as absolute value of your 1st kf.
put a radio button, in design mode, under dimensions choose key figures.
switch off design mode.

How do I make each Radio button appear in the tab order?

When users tab through the form, the tab only highlights the first radio button of a group before moving to the next field or group of fields.
Example: the user is asked for the following information: LastName, Gender (M/F radio buttons), and BirthDate.
When tabbing through the form, users are taken from from the LastName field to the Male radio button, to the Birthdate Field. Never does the tab allow them to select Female unless they click it with the mouse.
It seems like this should be a simple fix, but I can't find it anywhere!

That's the way they work. Think of a radio button group as a dropdown or list box. When any of these types of fields receives the focus, you can use the arrow keys to move through the options and the tab key moves to the next field.
If you set up the group using check boxes instead, giving each in the group the same name but different export value, they will behave as you want. A group of checkboxes will behave a bit different than a group of radio buttons, but it's close.

Issue in radio button group in module pool in infotype creation

Hi,
I have a custom infotype,where there are six radio buttons belonging to same group for different mode of payment.Issue is when user clicks a radiobutton,a subscreen opens .there are six different subscreens when user clicks on each of the six radio buttons.
Requirement is when user clicks one button ,one subscreen opens but the other radio buttons(whcih are eligible to be open) gets disabled .I have tried to handle the issue manually through coding ,but i think the issue is with the radiobutton grouping.
How to make the other radio buttons open for input even when the user has clicked on one button and the subscreen opens corresponding to the screen so that the imemediately ther user clicks on another radio button and get the corresponding subscreen opened for him.Pls advise.

I have written a custom module in PBO section of my custom infotype.There i have written this code:-

      MODIFY SCREEN.

The internal table it_payment_opt contains all the radio buttons and checkboxes and is populated when the radio buttons and checkboxes are turned input on while modifying the screen depending upon course of my price and personnel subarea.
While calling subscreen area in PBO,the radiobuttons get into a state of input-off automatically.so i have written a z-module after
the module hidden_data .
