Random images - but retuned in the same order...

Hi all,
I dont post here often, but Im a tad stuck and need some
help.
I have this code:

If (Recordset1RE.Fields.Item("qRE").Value) <= 7 And
(Recordset1RE.Fields.Item("qRE").Value) >= 4 then
RANDOMIZE
Response.write("<IMG SRC='randompicture" &
INT((12)*RND()) &
".gif'>")
Else
response.write ""
End if
%>
... which returns a random set of icons in a repeat region.
That bit is
fine.
There are a number of icons dotted around on a grid, that
change location
depending on the value in the database.
What I need to be able to do is return the random icons in
the same order
for each repeat region on the page.
Anyone know how to do that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Write each image into a variable after the randomization.
Place them on the
page using the variables....
