Randomly load swf on html page load

I am looking for a way to load random swf files on a page
load.
I will have 1.swf, 2.swf, 3.swf, and so on. I want my html to
reference "randomnumber().swf" when it loads (or something like
it). Any simple ways to do this? I'm a newb, so the more detail the
better.
Thanks in advance.

I must be doing something wrong. First time I have ever
messed with project.
I created a new project and over in the project window I
right-clicked and chose "Add File" and added my swf files. I went
to INSERT | NEW SYMBOL and created a movie clip called mc0. I
couldn't find where to change its position, so I tried CTRL-K on it
and tried different alignments on the stage (I don't think that
worked very well). I didn't know if you wanted the code on the
first frame of the movie clip or the main timeline. Based on the
code I thought the main timeline, but I put it in both just in
case.
Doesn't seem to work for me. Can someone fill in the gaps for
me?

    There can be multiple reasons for crashing. Seeing this article would be helpful as it lists out the solution for this-

  • Load an external html page

    Hello,
    I tried to load an external html page inside the ide but not found the method. If I right click on my project name present in the Project Navigator I can choose the 'New' voice that leave me the possibilities to only load template pages. Is there a method to load an external page in the project? Say for example that I like the sun structure page and want to load it in the project so I can see the html and also the type of structure: what I can do to do this?
    However, I play a little bit with the ide and I like it. I am no an expert programmer. I start to program with vb5 but after I stop this passion; now I see that sun created this ide and I can see that it remember me the vb5 mode to create an interfance, and it is simple also for a seminovice.

    Marco,
    Use File > Add Existing Item > Web Page (on the main menus) to add an existing web page to your project. It will allow you to specify either a local HTML file or a URL.
    If for some reason you don't see this option, try downloading the latest version of the EA, posted on May 3.

  • The connection to complaints.donotcall.gov was interrupted while the page was loading." All other pages load okay. Everything loads perfectly on I/E 8

    When logging on to the "do not call website" to file a complaint I get the following message "The connection to complaints.donotcall.gov was interrupted while the page was loading." All other pages load okay. Everything loads perfectly on I/E 8.
    I have started Firefox in the safe mode and got the same results.
    Turned off firewall and virus programs, no help. I have 2 new computers about 2 years old both have the same problem with ver. 12.0

    Try to rename the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder to cert8.db.old or delete the cert8.db file to remove intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.
    If that helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert8.db.old file.<br />
    Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the cert8.db.old file to cert8.db to restore the previous intermediate certificates.<br />
    Firefox will automatically store intermediate certificates when you visit websites that send such a certificate.

  • Loading Image from HTML page into Flash component

    Ok, after doing much research on the internet, I am pretty
    sure you have to be a Flash and Actionscripting Jedi in order to
    solve this issue. Here we go:
    I have created an HTML page using PHP and MySql that displays
    image thumbnails. When a user chooses and clicks on one of the
    thumbnails, I want the larger image to be loaded into my swf. It is
    a jigsaw puzzle component I picked up here: www.crifano.com. Here
    is the puzzle on my page with an image manually inserted using
    Flash 8 (Note: This is only working in Internet Explorer right now,
    for whatever reason):
    http://premieretans.com/puzzle/jigsaw.php.
    I want the image on this page to be chosen by the user from a
    number of images that are populated on a regular PHP/HTML page from
    a MySql database. What is the best way to go about this?
    Thanks so much for the help on this matter. I know I am not
    the only person who has run into this dilemma, so I hope your
    knowledge will save others with a similar problem the hours I have
    spent on this issue myself. Thank you!
    Cheers-
    Charles

    Hi,
    There's no direct support for this. But you could implement
    drag and drop the way you normally would in javascript. Except
    here, on mouseUp over a div encapsulating the object or embed tag
    (the flash object), you'll need to make a call into actionscript
    from javascript indicating that a drag and drop happened.
    For more info, see
    how
    to drag and drop using javascript and
    actionscript
    and javascript communication

  • Flash buttons have to re-load on all html pages

    Hi everyone, I have continued to find a resolution and have had no luck. My website has 5 flash buttons (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Each time you go to a page the button seems to have to re-load creating a "white blinking" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I have the table cell background set to black hoping that would help but to no avail. I thought once a swf is loaded it won't have to re-load. The swf files are the same on all pages. Any help would be appreciated.
    The website is
    http://www.kineticcreativeco.com/

    if you embed the same swf in each of your html pages, the swf will load from the user's cache (if they have one).  but you'll still see a momentary flash of white.
    you can prevent that flash by using iframes and loading your swf into one of the frames and having the swf buttons direct changes to another iframe(s).

  • Loading Application into HTML Page

    I'm trying to load an application (JFrame) into a HTML page.
    Is it possible to be done with JSP? ...or servlet?
    Thank you for helping me : )
    Yours Sincerely,
    RainbowEnergies

    Not really a application but you can include an applet at anytime.
    Just do it like you do it with a normal HTML page there is no differents.
    It is also possible to let the applet communicate with one of your servlets via HTTP.

  • Video won't pause on html page load

    Hi, can anyone help me out? I placed an flv file in blank
    flash file. then I went to publish it, but when it loads (the html
    page its published) it auto plays the flash video. even though I
    select "paused at start" tick box in the HTML publish settings box.
    any ideas why?

    Hi murphy14,
    Was the video purchased from the iTunes Store?
    If it was contact the iTunes Store support from here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
    If it was not, make sure the video is in a supported format or convert it.
    The iPod touch supports the following video formats:
    +"H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats"+
    from http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html
    This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1211 will walk you through converting a video file in iTunes. iTunes will convert many video formats but the video may have to be converted with a 3rd-party utility.

  • Pass variable to swf  from html to load image

       var current_loader:Number = 1;
       var current_img:Number = 0;
       this.createEmptyMovieClip('img_01', 999);
       this.createEmptyMovieClip('img_02', 998);
       img_01._x = img_01._y = img_02._x = img_02._y = 20;
       var loader:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
       var listener:Object = new Object();
        listener.onLoadStart = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
        listener.onLoadProgress = function(target_mc:MovieClip, numBytesLoaded:Number, numBytesTotal:Number) {
        listener.onLoadComplete = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
             if(target_mc._name == 'img_01'){
                img_02._visible = false;
            } else {
                img_01._visible = false;
    var interval:Number = setInterval(load_image, 1000);
    function load_image() {
        loader.addListener(listener);
        loader.loadClip("http\\:google.com\flower.php", _root['img_0'+current_loader]);
        // set the next loader
        current_loader = current_loader == 1 ? 2 : 1;
        // set next image
        current_img = current_img == images.length - 1 ? 0 : current_img + 1;
    // load the first image
    load_image();

    to comunicate between actionscript and a html page, you can use flashvars or the externalinterface class.

  • FLV. not working in SWF within HTML page

    I have created a SWF presentation which contains several videos as FLVs. The videos are uploaded to a folder on the clients server.
    The exported SWF and HTML files of the presentations worked perfectly when hosted on my local machine but when sent to the client, who uploaded to their own server, the SWFs ran but would not play the FLV files within. When they changed the HTML files to HTM they worked perfectly.
    However...when they embedded the pages into the content management system the use it required that the pages were reverted back to HTML, therefore the FLVs are not working again.
    The 'still' frame appears where the FLV should be, but the skin and the video itself does not load.
    Does anyone have any idea why this issue has occurred?
    Thanks in advance.

    @Ned
    Not sure about the folder structure of their site, to be honest they've been a nightmare client from day one so getting information like that out of them has been nigh on impossible.
    The flv files are all in a folder together and these are linked from the swf with this link structure: http://www.sitename.org.uk/folder/video.flv
    I'm not entirely sure how their CMS is structured. I was throwing this question out on the off chance that someone had seen a similar instance where HTML/HTM file types had affected functionality.

  • Page loads, sound plays; prefer page loads, sound not play

    Insert>Media>Plug in
    I select a sound file, OK.
    When I publish the page, it even puts a play/stop controller.
    BUT the sound plays when the page loads, instead of waiting
    for some one to hit "play".  I want no sound until some one
    hits "play". (I dont want a new page to open, just play
    in the web page  Also, the page wants to use quick time player.
    Is that necessary?  Is there a better way?

    Any suggestions?

  • Overlapping 2 swfs on HTML page

    I have two separate swfs overlapping, each in their own div
    on an HTML page. The one on top however is a horizontal drop-down
    menu, and it overlaps the swf/div underneath it. The menu links
    only take up a small strip at the top of the page, but drop-down
    portion is what covers the majority of the page. Hence, the div
    that the dropdown menu is contained in covers a large part of the
    page as well. The swf/div underneath is a clickable link, but
    because it's overlapped by the menu swf, you can't click on it.
    Both swfs are set to wmode=transparent, and I've played around with
    the z-index of both divs too with no luck.
    I don't even know if this is a flash problem, or CSS, or
    javascript problem. If anyone can just point me in the right
    direction to solve this, it'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
    advance for any insight on this.

    Yeah, I have considered cutting the list in half in the backing beans, which would allow me to accomplish what I am trying to do, but I'd rather pull the collection from a single method and find a way to do it with JSF if that is possible...
    appreciate the input...

  • Focus to swf from html page

    Hi
    I'm trying to control my swf file using keypresses.
    I can test it perfectly in the flash environment however when
    I try to publish it to a webpage I can't get the focus to the swf
    to get it to action on the keypress.
    I presume I'm missing something basic - hopefully!
