Hyperlink Scripting Solution Needed
Perhaps there is already a way to do this that I am missing that doesn't involve scripting, but I will post here nonetheless. I am in need of a script or extension that takes all the product numbers I have on a page (they can easily be found with GREP..are usually ISBNs) and attaches the appropriate URL to them so they will be linked to products on our website. I have the current data source with each product, product number, and it's URL in Excel format.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have been copying and pasting for quite some time and I still have 200 pages to go. Thanks in advance!
What you could try is:
Find with a GREP all product numbers. Change (also with GREP) to the
full URL that you need -- I presume this is simply a question of adding
some sort of URL prefix to the product number.
Then run InDesign's automatic "Create hyperlinks" command.
Then GREP out the URL part again, leaving only the original product
number (easy to do if you gave it a different color or something initially).
If that doesn't work, sounds like you would need a script.

Hi all,
We run in to the same problem over and over again.
In one of the JavaScript steps we use, PS is giving an alert "no pixels selected". That's what we want on purpose but it's confusing our users quite a bit since they don't know that is is what we want (no pixels selected, but not accompanied by the PS alert).
I know you can check the box within that alert dialog, that it should not be shown again in the future. That would mean, that we have to inform all the users to do so by hand once. That is not really sleek.....
There must be a JavaScript command / function to switch PS Alerts of. Since you can check a check box, there must be a place where this information is stored and can be altered.
Anyone knowing more about it?

Can InDesign or an InDesign script solution tell me if I have hidden elements in a document? As in the following examples:
• I import a picture file and some, or all of the file is not viewable in the picture frame, can InDesign alert me of it?
• I accidentally place a picture so that it is completely covering another picture, can InDesign alert me the an image is being completely covered by another?

Scenario : There are two plants in a Location(Plant A & B) and a Customer.Now the Material is blocked so that after the sales order the material will not be allowed to move from Plant A to B as well as the

The document checked in Oracle UCM can be viewed through IPM Viewer only if the security group of the document is set to a IPM Profile .
The IPM Profile is created in Oracle UCM Configuration Manager Component whenever a application is created in IPMServer .
Issue in Clustering :
IPMApplication created in host 1 is creating profile in UCM Component Manager of host 1 but not in UCM Host2 component manager (Vice Versa).
This affects url generations of checked in documents through proxy since the IPM profile is not available in cluster.

Scripting Solution For Crashing PHP
Hello,
I hope that someone here is able to assist me.
Briefly, I am running a WebSTAR server on an old Macintosh G4 500 MHz DP mini-tower running Tiger 10.4.11. One of the websites that I operate requires using PHP and a mySQL database.
While Tiger has PHP 4.4.9, I am using a self-contained version of PHP 5.2.0 which is installed in:
/Applications/PHP5/bin/this is where the actual php binary is located
This is a self-contained PHP package that I downloaded from the Zend website.
The problem is that PHP crashes several times throughout the day. I don't know if it is a result of so many search bots hitting the site, or people who are maliciously attacking the site, or what, but the constant PHP crashing is annoying, and makes the site unreliable.
Currently, the way I have dealt with the PHP crashing problem is by keeping Activity Monitor open on my desktop, as well as the Terminal. Whenever I see PHP disappear from Activity Monitor, I follow the instructions provided by 4D -- the makers of WebSTAR -- and type the following in the Terminal to restart PHP:
set env PHPFCGICHILDREN 8
./fcgirunner.pl xxxx ./php
The x's are the port number.
"fcgirunner.pl" is an old PERL script released by Zeus Technology to startup remote FastCGI processes with their Zeus Web Server. In other words, it is my understanding that with the above commands, after setting 8 child processes for PHP, the second command uses the fcgirunner.pl PERL script to start up PHP in fastcgi mode, and listens on port xxxx.
As you can imagine, it is a hassle to have to keep an eye on PHP, and reboot it manually every time that it crashes, and I do have to sleep. With that in mind, I am interested in finding a way to automatically watch the PHP binary that is located at the above path, and to automatically relaunch the PHP binary in fcgi mode by using the above two Terminal commands, without having to keep Activity Monitor and the Terminal open all the time.
BTW, the fcgirunner.pl PERL script is located at the same location as the php binary in /Applications/PHP5/bin/.
In short, I need a solution which will do two things:
1. Keep an eye on the self-contained PHP installation.
2. Automatically reboot the PHP binary in fcgi mode -- as per the above two Terminal commands -- every time that it crashes.
Someone on another site suggested that I use a shell script, but I have basically no experience with such things. They suggested that I begin with something like the following, but to be honest, it is all Greek to me:

They also pointed me to the launchd manual here on the Apple site, and also to a page about daemons and agents, but again, it is way over my head.
According to another person, what would be perfect would be a shell script enclosed in an Applescript, which I could save as an application, and then add to my startup items. That way, the minute I start up the G4, PHP will automatically be launched, and the script will keep an eye on it, and relaunch it if it crashes.
It would be necessary for this script to check the PHP process every minute to make sure that it is still running, as otherwise, if PHP crashes, visitors to the site just get a blank, white page.
Please bear in mind that I am not very proficient at using the Terminal, and have very little experience at writing Applescripts, or any other scripts. So, if anyone here offers that kind of a solution, you will need to provide me with very clear step-by-step instructions.
*Please note that the solution must work on an old G4 mini-tower running Tiger 10.4.11*

I would like a Sum of all Amounts that have the Code A...You can use this script as the custom calculation script of "SumOfA":

Crystal report field in Infoview with hyperlink to .exe needs to pass param
I believe I have exhausted my searching and could not find an answer to this.
I have a CR that will eventually need to be published in InfoView. One of the fields has a hyperlink that points to a .exe.
The problem is that I need to have CR pass the data in the field as a command line parameter, but InfoView is treating the formula I used to generate the hyperlink as one link, so of course "the address could not be found". The .exe is on a network share drive.
This works fine in CR stand alone, but not in InfoView.
If the answer is obvious I apologize. I just began using both of these apps a month ago.

I work for a healthcare consulting company, we have 50+ consultants that work remotely from their home. We currently are cloud managed and for various reasons are looking for a solution to streamline our connection to our Clinics' personal VPNs. Our Clinics' VPNs vary greatly in regards to vendor and type of connection.
What we want to do:
Create a Jumpoff where all our consultants (simultaneously as well) can remote VPN into. From there be able to jump out to any of our Clinics' VPNs.
We need this because we have some consultants with foreign IPs and we also want to connect from Google Chromebooks which don't play nice with every type of our Clinics' VPNs. So the our Jump Off Box will have all the needed connections for any type of VPNs our Clinics use.
This solution should connect to our Clinics' side from their default VPN settings - Just a regular VPN connection from us to them.
From what I have been told is that this was attempted in the past:
Consultants VPN'd to our cloud server - RDPd to a machine and then VPNd out to our clinics. However this locked down the VPN and only one consultant could jump out.
What Cisco Product would allow us to do so?
How would this be set up?
Do we set up the Router to handle outbound connections?

Problem...urgent solution needed
The problem is... table A and table B are related with B as parent table and A child. The value of id (primary key) of table B needs to be populated with the column Bid when the following where condition satisfies.
A.x=B.x and A.y=B.y and A.z=B.z for every value of A
My problem is to create either a procedure, a function or a package which populates the value of B.id in table A with the above where condition for id value of A
I created a function which gives me the return value of Bid but unable to update the table as several ids of table A have the same value of Bid.
select A.id into bid from A,B where A.x=B.x and A.y=B.y and A.z=B.z;
return bid;
but in the same function I am unable to update
update A set bid=bid;
taking the return value from the function. I am unable to understand why? I am pretty weak in pl/sql kindly help me if am making some mistake. I NEED HELP FAST...THANKS IN ADVANCE

String parsing - better solution needed :-(

Basically I will be taking in a string that represents the name of the output file the user wants, this will be specified in an xml file. The issue I have is that it needs to have non-static elements as part of the name as well (like a timestamp). This can come from two places: 1) the applications map 2)Predefined list of functions. Anything that will be comng from the map will have square brackets around it [], whilst anything the refers to a function will be inside curly brackets {}.
So I may get a string in the form: filename_[user.id]_{datestamp}.pdf
This should be output in a file called: filename_12345_2811208.pdf
My issue is with evaluating the string, to determine what needs to be left as is, replaced with a value from a function, or replaced with a value from the map. I have looked at tokenizing the string and using indexof, but these are more trouble than they are worth. My current solution is, to have 4 booleans- one representing an open and close bracket of each type. When two matching booleans are true (i.e. detected an open and closed square bracket) take the sub-string between the brackets (to do this I use two ints representing the index of the brackets), evaluate it and append it to the output string.
I have tested this and it works- but I was wondering if there is some other method that works better, as quite frankly my solution is the sort of embarassing crud you would see from a first year student programmer. Any help at all would be massively appreciated.

I had looked at the replace method- the only issue with that is that I have no way of knowing which value the users will want from the map (depending on how they have it implemented there could be hundreds of things in there), so to search the string for any value in the map would be hugely ineffecient :-(
But having said that- I could look at using that approach for "pre-defined function"- I don't think there will be many of these, but in typical fashion no one has seen fit to gove me a list yet.....so I get to guess. :-s -

After getting this kind of error I have analyzed my code furhter then I came to know that there was problem with static include tag.
In my jsp page I have used following line which is the main cause of error
<%@ include file="top.jsp" %>If I ommit this line then it is working properly.
Instead of static include I have used jsp:include also.
Still I m getting same problem.
We have to migrated from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 and Tomcat 5.0.28 to 6.0.14, still same problem is there.
We have tried a lot but didnt get success to overcome this problem.

Over the last few weeks I have been working on Syslinux support for the installer. With the help Thomas and Dieter I am nearing the completion of this project. As part of this project, I have written a script that will help install and update Syslinux (similar to that of grub-install).
Some key features of the script: syslinux-install_update.sh
* Install Syslinux to the FS + Partition Boot Loader (extlinux --install /boot/syslinux)
* Install Syslinux MBR
* Detect and optionally set the boot flag on the boot partition
* Update Syslinux – copy files and execute (extilnux --update /boot/syslinux)
* Support for GPT disks
* Support for RAID configurations
The goal is to include this script in the official Syslinux package. Therefore we need your help to test it.
syslinux-install_update.sh -i -a -m ..... install Syslinux, set the boot flag (if needed), and install the MBR
We need tests for the following setups:
/ + /boot on the *same* partition
/ + /boot on the *same* partition - RAID
/boot + root on *separate* partition
/boot + root on *separate* partition - RAID
All of the above using but using the GPT partition layout
NOTE: This is an alpha/beta stage script. The script modifies the first 440 bytes of the disk (using dd) and the partition table (using either sfdisk or sgdisk). Although the script should be safe to run, I am not responsible for any data loss that may occur.
