RapidMarts

Can some one let m eknow where can i get some information of RapidMarts, and also where can i download, i can not see the service.sap.com/bo/downloads. Some sort of tutorial material will be really appreciated

They are available on service.sap.com - likely gated and will require a valid support id for access.Search for 'SBOP Rapid Marts' in the list of softwares for download for Business Objects in 'Entry by Application Group'.

  • Choosing current date in GL RapidMart for Oracle

    Hello,
While implementing SAP BOBJ GL RapidMart for Oracle EBS , we didn't find any specific column in table which contain or can be used for current date (sysdate). Even in the Time_dim table doesnu2019t contain any column for that. we have created a view containing sysdate and imported in the universe but that didn't solve the purpose as we couldn't use it as we don't know with which table we should join this and use it as a dimension object to use it with other measures as (group by).
    Could anybody suggest any approach?

What is the report version and what format mask are you using for the date/time?

  • What RapidMart is using to connect SAP R/3?

Hi, We used Data services for mostly OLTP system and now we are thinking of using it for SAP R/3 system. I read that the most efficient method for large amount of data is to use SAP ABAP call using SAP R/3 Data flow. We can create ABAP program from DS and load in SAP system. We want to know what rapidmarts are using. I don't think rapidmart is using ABAP method to connect SAP R/3 and get data.
    Can someone clarify?
    Thanks,

I got no reply so closing this thread.

Is there anybody who already has configured PS RapidMart, or is familiar with this error?
    Thanks

    Hi Jeff.
    Thanks for your reply.
In the RapidMart documentation (SAP BO Project Systems RapidMart XI 3.2 for SAP solutions User Guide) it says to create a SQL Server Data Base with case sensitive collation (in my case I used Latin1_General_BIN).
I look at the table that is feeded with the Workflow that gets this error, and I didn't find any collation related code.
I try to create a DataBase with the collation that you refer and I run the ETL, but now it crashes earlier in the process with the error:
    7916     7596     DBS-070401     6/22/2011 4:28:25 PM     |Data flow DF_DocumentCategory_SAP|Loader TimeStampQuery_DOCUMENT_CATEGORY

    7916     7596     DBS-070401     6/22/2011 4:28:25 PM     Server]Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'XPK_DOC_CATEG'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.DOCUMENT_CATEGORY'.>.
I think this is because this collation is not case sensitive.
One special note is that our Job Server is in Windows 2008 R2 64 bits and the SAP Server is on HP-UX ia64. Maybe this collation issue is related with platform differences.
    Thanks

  • RapidMarts - "Open file error" R3C-150607 loading from file

    Hello experts.
We are installing RapidMarts for the SA-module, but when executing the main workflow in Data services we get an error trying to load the file dates.dat.
The generated ABAP looks just fine, and the file exists where it should be (in SAP working directory), but still not able to load it.
    This is the error msg:
Data flow DF TimeDim SAP - Execute ABAP program <E:/RM generated ABAP dir/TimeDim.aba> error  > Open File Error -- E:/RM Working directory/dates.dat>.
    We have the following setup:
    Windows server
    MS SQLserver 2005 database
    SAP BO Dataservices v12.2.9.0
    SAP BO RapidMarts for v12.2.0
Any good ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    IngA

    Hi again.
    The problem is solved.
When configuring the R3 datastore in Dataservices we assigned the different directories (working dir, generated ABAP dir etc.) on a server that's NOT our R3-server.
When we  changed this to use folders on our SAP-server it works just fine (for this at least)
    Cheers, IngA

  • ECC6 - build WebI on top of BW or RapidMarts?

We have SAP ERP and are about to migrate to ECC6. We have never used BW. We have implemented 1 RapidMart for Sales. We now need to add other modules to create a Corporate Data Warehouse. What are the arguments for and against going the BW vs the RapidMart route?

    Hi,
there are several factors to consider:
    - first of all are you licensed for BW or do you need to buy it ?
    - what about your internal knowledge ? do you have the skills to deploy, administrate and maintain BW ? how about the skills on the Data Services side and Rapid Marts side ?
    - and in general a Data Mart solution doesn't replace a full datawarehouse but you should look at all your requirements and think about which solution best fits your needs

  • Where I can download Finance Rapidmarts?

    Hi
I wold to know from where I can download the  Finance Rapidmart installers, I need to make a proof of concept to know more about it and to know the reports included
Thanks in advanced for your comments

The rapid marts for Data Services are located in Service Marketplace in the "Software Downloads" section under SAP BusinessObjects Portfolio > Installation and Upgrade > SBOP Rapid Marts.
If you don't see this option in Service Marketplace, you may not have access to the software. Rapid marts are not available as a trial download on the public web site, but if you contact your local SAP account manager they may be able to arrange a trial of SAP BusinessObjects Data Services and the rapid marts as well.
If you don't have an SAP account manager, you can always contact your local SAP office and ask for whoever looks after the BusinessObjects EIM (Enterprise Information Management) tools.

  • RapidMart issue

    Hi there,
I have installed RapidMarts (Inventory, Plant Maintenance & Sales) for SAP with DS12.0. DS local repository is MSSQL2005+ SP2 and BOEXI3.0. After installed Visuals and imported sapia_Rapid_Mart_Visuals_12.biar, I found in BOE Designer, the connection is Oracle 9i. So I assume Oracle functions are used in this UNV. How come if I would like to have a UNV for MSSQL or DB2?
    Appreciated for any input.
    Cheers,
    Henry

    Hi Henry,
all Rapid Mart universes work with Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2. You need to create a new SQL Server or DB2 Universe connection and associate it with the universe. The universes are designed to generate generic SQL compatible with all 3 databases. For database-specific syntax we use Universe Designer @database() function.

Looks like an error in a script object.  Using the validation functionality with the script object open should allow you to find the error. You may need to play the "comment-out the lines" game to find the culprit(s).
