Razer Abyssus mouse sends click events but no movement in X

This is very strange: my mouse sends click events to X, but it does not move the cursor. I don't have any funny packages installed and don't have an xorg.conf. What can I do to make my mouse work?

Whooa, ok ... after unplugging it and plugging it back in, it works. Strange.

Horizontal scroll on MX1000 sends click event as well. [SOLVED]

As in the topic, I'm having problems with the horizontal scroll sending regular click events to apps as well as the scrolling, making the function pretty unusable. All my other keys work exactly as they should.
As for my configuration, I'm running evdev, and I have "pointer = 1 2 3 4 5 7 6 8 9 10 11 12" in xmodmap.
Ive tried changing the input with both imwheel and xbindkeys, but none of them would intercept the horizontal scroll. (Strange though, since it works fine with the other buttons)
I don't know what else I can do. Is it just a lost cause?
P.S: I know it's not app dependent, because I have tried it with every application I have.

I prefer evdev because I can't seem to get the thumb buttons to work without it.

Seems pretty obvious what the problem is. It sends button 13/14 as input first, the continues with 6/7 which is the scroll. So what do I do to fix that?

How can i disable mouse right clicking event

I need in my project to disallow any body to right click the mouse. Can i disable this event to prevent user of the application from right clicking if yes how can i disable it.

There's no nuilt-in LabVIEW function or tool to do it, but Dave Ritter published an artical in the LabVIEW Technical Resource last year that described how to do this. It uses the Event Structure so you need to have at least LabVIEW 6.1.

How to post an Event (mouse left click) to JTree node

I am using JTree for my application just like the windows explorer tree. By default, Jtree node will got focus using left click. But, I'd like that my tree will detect a right click so that I can copy any file to the Jtree. I've added a mouselistener to it but the node is not selected by the right click. Anyboby can teach me how to post a mouse left click event to the Jtree so that it will become selected using left click.

In the class JTree there is a method getClosestPathForLocation(int, int). The parameters are the coordinates which you can get from the MouseEvent. If you have this TreePath you can select the Node.
This should solve your problem.

Raise a button's click event handler from another event handler

hi,
I am trying to raise a button's click event from another button's click event.
Automation gives a runtime error. I checked out some other forums for answers but they dont work when called from another event handler.

I tried to implement your suggestion.
What I am trying to do is, say there is a label whose content property needs to be updated every time a button b1 is clicked. When the button is clicked , it check if a condition is met and depending upon that condition it updates the content of the label
. Say , if the text entered is "add" and the button is clicked and the label's content is set to "add", if the text entered is "sub" and then the button is clicked, the label's content is set to "sub".
I understand that there is no need to fire up different methods for this as this can be done by checking for conditions in the same button click event but it seems that updating the UI is not happening. I get an error saying.:

this goes away when I remove the Label.Content="add" or Label.Content= "sub";
I think the label's content property does not update dynamically.

Checkbox - Click event

Hi, I don't know understand how I can override CheckBox
default click event with my own. I want to do, that if I click with
left mouse button on the ceheckbox, nothing will happen. It means,
that checkbox after clicking is not selected or deselected. I've
tryied event.preventDefault () in the click event but it had no
effect.

Image Field overwrite existing click event

Using LiveCycle 8, I am creating a form which has an image which will change when the user clicks the image object.
I downloaded the trial of Acrobat Professional 8.0. In this version, instead of creating a form in Acrobat, it uses LiveCycle 8. In LiveCycle, there is no Image Button and the Static Image object cannot be scripted. It seems the choice for a dynamic image object is the Image Field. But this object has a default click event which is not required in my form.
Is there a way to replace the default click event on the Image Field object? I would like to overwrite it's click event with my own Javascript script. So far, I can add my own script in the click event, but then both my script and the browse for image file occurs.

You can't override an event but you could put a button over top of the image, make it the same color as the background, remove the caption and then when you click the image you are really clicking the button. You can put your code on the click event of the button. make sure the button is in the foreground and the image field is in the background.

Where is the Double-click Event in Adobe LiveCycle Designer

I was trying to put code into a Double Click event in Adobe LiveCycle Designer, but couldn't find the Event. There is a "Click" event, but that won't do.
Am I missing something here?

Hi Jen,
I was surprised the double click was missing but I use the following code in the click event, just replace the "[my double click code ]" and "[ my single click code ]" with your single and double click code. This code delays the single click event for 400ms to see if a second click is coming, you might want to play around with the 400ms as you have to balance the responsiveness of a single click with the double click.

I try to capture mouse right click and fire mouse right click event in robot.mousePress or mouseRelease.
does anybody know how to do this?
