Horizontal scroll on MX1000 sends click event as well. [SOLVED]

As in the topic, I'm having problems with the horizontal scroll sending regular click events to apps as well as the scrolling, making the function pretty unusable. All my other keys work exactly as they should.
As for my configuration, I'm running evdev, and I have "pointer = 1 2 3 4 5 7 6 8 9 10 11 12" in xmodmap.
Ive tried changing the input with both imwheel and xbindkeys, but none of them would intercept the horizontal scroll. (Strange though, since it works fine with the other buttons)
I don't know what else I can do. Is it just a lost cause?
P.S: I know it's not app dependent, because I have tried it with every application I have.

I prefer evdev because I can't seem to get the thumb buttons to work without it.

Seems pretty obvious what the problem is. It sends button 13/14 as input first, the continues with 6/7 which is the scroll. So what do I do to fix that?

Datagrid scrolls on change or click event - why?

Hi,
How do I stop my datagrid scrolling one line when I click on the top row?
This happens with change, itemClick, and itemDoubleClick.
It does not scroll on rows other than the top row.

Horizontal scrolling with captioned images?

Hey everybody I'm helping a friend with his new site and need help figuring this out:
- I want to add left-aligned text captions below each of the horizonal scrolling images.
- I also want the images/captions to automatically resize to fit every window size (as the images currently do) - would be great if the image caption texts would automatically resize and become smaller with smaller window sizes.

Horizontal scrolling and fixed divisions don't work well in mobile devices.

SAP 2007 CheckBox Click Event

Hi Pro,
I created a checkbox in a Matrix on a form and set up a click event for the checkbox. If I click once at a time slowly, the click event triggered as noraml. If I click it twice fast, it only triggered the click event once, not twice. Is it a bug in SAP 2007?
One more thing, put a focus on that checkbox column in a matrix, then press the "UP" or "DOWN" arrow key, the focus goes to previous or next row, it works perfect, except why it triggers the click event as well? Do you think this is wrong?

Hi Chris,
When you click twice (fast), this translates to et_DOUBLE_CLICK event. Of course, et_CLICK is also fired.
When you press the "UP" or "DOWN" arrow key, along with et_CLICK event, other events are also fired e.g. et_GOT_FOCUS, et_LOST_FOCUS etc.
You can use Event Logger tool (part of B1DE) to look at all the events fired when a certain action is performed. This will help you determine which events you want to handle in your code.

I've recently lost tap-to-click functionality on my synaptics touchpad, I have no idea why because I haven't changed anything recently.

I have the same problem, my workaround is setting the options with synclient executed automatically on login.
Im quite annoyed though that gnome just overrides settings done in xorg and hal policies, can anyone tell where to look for gnomes information storage?

Expand horizontal scroll panel on both sides for a zoom in effect

Hi,
I'm creating an interactive timeline with Flash Catalyst. It is set up as a long horizontal scroll panel which contains buttons that link to states with photos and text about historic events. One feature I would like to include is a zoom feature, like the one found on the bbc British history timeline (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/interactive/timelines/british/index_embed.shtml ). E.g., when you click on a colored section of the horizontal scroll panel it will zoom in to view that timeframe in more detail.
The problem I'm running into is that I can't expand the scroll panel to the left. So, I can go into edit mode for the scrolling content, create a second state, and enlarge the scrolling content in that second state to create a zoom in effect. However, because the scrolling content will only expand to the right, I can't line up the interaction correctly.
Is there a workaround for this in Flash Catalyst?

Left Aligning an Anchor object in a horizontal scroll

I'm sure the answer to this is going to be so simple I'll be forced to learn how to kick myself.
I have a website that contains a static header section and a table row that contains a number of pictures in a horizontal scroll. The rest of the page does not scroll, just this one table row.
I want to be able to designate some of the pictures as the starting point for a new section.   So I created an reference link at the top of the page,

I can't seem to invoke the horizontal scroll for the site. It may be because I have the scrolling in a single table within the body and the script seems to be calling out the full <body> tag for the target.

Horizontal scroll bar jumps

Hi
When you execute the following code , you will see a table , drag or extend the column size of column D such that , you get a horizontal scroll pane
Now when you click on first,second or third column ( i.e row selection ) no problem
but if u select the fourth column i.e D , then the horizontal scroller jumps to right
any clue where this is done , i dont want this effect , is there a way to disable it ?

Horizontal scrolling doesn't work with ItemsStackPanel in ListView(GridView)

In Win 8.1 App Store Project I have a ListView with fixed width and listen for ContainerContentChanging event because of performance issues.
When ListView width is less than content width, horizontal scrolling doesn't work. If we change ItemsStackPanel to VirtualizingStackPanel, horizontal scrolling works fine. But ContainerContentChanging doesn't work with VirtualizingStackPanel.
Is it possible to make horizontal scrolling work with ItemsStackPanel?

Horizontal Scrolling

Hey guys, I'm trying to make a section of my web page scroll horizontally. I have found several working examples of this but they all make the entire <body> tag scrollable. I want just the blue outlined section in the following image to scroll and for everything else, including the background, to stay fixed to the page.

After researching horizontal scrolling on some sites it seems that I will have to use JQuery to add a "smooth scrolling" effect the page. I also plan to add a link that will lead to an anchor that will exist outside of the visible area (to the right), that is when I plan for the scrolling effect to take place. I want it to animate by scrolling from right to left all the way to the anchor that is linked to. Here are some links to sites I have read up about it on. It may be an easy fix but I don't have much experience with JavaScript or JQuery. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I would not object to alternate ideas.

Registering The iPhone 3G HELP! Horizontal Scroll Bar!

iTunes tells me that i have to regiser my iPhone3G, so i do and i get to the iPhone Software License Agreement.. i scroll to the bottom and it only gives me three things to click. a box (The Box that states "I have read and agree..."), another box that says Cancel, and another that says Save. Obviously, a button is missing, and it is on the far right, but iTunes somehow, does not stretch that far!!! it doesn't make sense, but it doesn't have a horizontal Scroll Bar (THE BAR THAT MOVES THE SCREEN LEFT TO RIGHT). please help. i've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 7.7 twice already. and there's still no horizontal scroll bar!
i heard i have to change the screen resolution... will that work??

I am having the same issue. Went to the Apple Store in Boston and the Genius Bar escalated the problem to the Engineers and they could not even solve it. They needed me to send them an image of the issue. I went to another Apple store and the Genius there had much better problem solving skills. He used his own critical thinking and discovered that the horizontal scroll bar sits at the same height. The height is exactly where the split keyboard ends. If you take screen shots and compare...you will find they are all at the same height. He thinks since the keyboard is a new feature they havent worked out the problems yet...and we will have to wait for the update.
Ever since Steve Jobs has been gone the call to response for issues is getting increasing slower and slower. New products continue to roll out but they all have problems and bugs. Take Maps for instance...they still have not fixed all the issues (even with this 6.0.1 update). The Ipad mini I spend 700$ for and it is such a faulty product. For what I spent I would have thought I would have gotten a great product. I have all Apple products...phone, desktop, laptop, Ipad original, and Mini...but they have done me wrong over and over. It may take months for them to roll out the fix the way the compnay has been operating under Cook.
When will the fix come....I do not know... best of luck!

Horizontal Scrolls on the main Stage

Hi
I am putting 11 movies containing 11 flv files on my main
stage. All those movies have onMouse over and click events attached
with them. As those movies are not going to fit on the main stage
so when i am running the flash file, it is just displaying 5 of the
11 movies and rest are being cut. Is there any way that I can code
so that I will get the horizontal scrolls automatically if the
movies are not going to fit on the screen? I am new to the 'stage'
and AS3 concepts . Please help me out.
All I need is to put 11 movies on the main stage with the
horizontal scrolls.
