RBDAPP01 - Many arfc jobs tirggered - Why ?

Hello all,
we have an issue here on a solution being implemented. We want to process idoc DEBMAS in mass.
> A program creates idocs ready to be processed (64 status), seems OK
> in WE20 DEBMAS is set up to process in background (no immediate processing)
> We call rbdapp01 to process these idocs (DEBMAS). We use parallel processing here when calling the program.
> When job runs we see that parallel dialogs tasks are called to process the idocs
> But when we check in SM37 after that wee see that there are lots of arfc jobs tirggered too.
My question is,
as here we set up WE20 to process incoming indoc via background program why do we have these arfc jobs triggered ??
We thought that during RBDAPP01 dialogs tasks will be used to process in parallel mode but we do not understand whay we have also thes arfc* jobs created.
Could someone help me on that point ?
Thanks a lot for your help,
A.W

Thanks a lot Nabheet for your answer.
But per my understanding the parallel tasks called in RBDAPP01 are dialog tasks (not background).
So this is why i was not understanding we have addtionally these jobs too..
I checked the kink you sent and I see that in the 1st link it said that for the unsuccesfull rfc call a job arfc will be created.
It also shows how to disable that (in trfc options of the RFC destination).
Is there a "functional" way to disable thes jobs scheduling ? (instead of modifiying the trfc options of the destination).
I mean in logical processing of these idocs ?
Again thx for your help,
AW

In some folks' version of the world, you have plenty of ways. YOu have the aforementioned services, you have iCloud, all you need is an internet connection and you're good to go. And that works perfectly...if you always have the internet.
If you want more non-internet dependant ways, then the best way to let Apple know is to send them feedback. They don't monitor or respond to this forum (Beyond removing rule breaking posts) but they do at least log feedback. However, the lack of a file manager will always be an obstacle. There are some apps out there that have at least a pseudo file manager - as in the ability to move documents into multiple other apps. I have Readdle Docs which I can use to download and move things around with, but again, back to the internet or wireless.

  • Many small jobs choking queue

NW5.1SP8 - The server has been up and operating for over 5 years. Legacy
printing with LPTx ports in the server using NPRINTER.NLM.
We have a DOS application that prints to NetWare queues via a CAPTURE of a
WS's LPTx port. This worked fine under W9x and works fine under WXP. That
    is, until now.
A couple years back we added a couple W2K workstations. In that specific
instance we discovered that print jobs were being broken into many many
very small (sometimes 10 bytes or less) queue entries. A modest job that
would produce a single 5K job from W98 would be broken into literally
hundreds of such teeny jobs. This would flood the queue, resulting
in "stutter" printing at the printer. If a large job was sent the queue
would get hundreds of entries, ultimately hanging the queue. The only
recovery was to delete the jobs, then reboot the server. The workaround we
found was to configure the printer in the W2K Wss to connect to the queue
rather than an LPTx CAPTURE. Then the same print jobs would come through
as a single monolithic job. But it is not trivial to configure the DOS
application to use direct-to-queue Windows printers.
Thankfully XP came along soon thereafter and performed in the same manner
as W98, so this problem was confined to a relatively small number of WSs.
That is, until now. We recently put in a new Toshiba laptop, and our
(formerly W2K-only) print situation is back! This one XP workstation is
performing in the same manner as the W2K workstations. But because XP
alters the naming conventions it cannot use the W2K workaround either. We
must configure yet another parallel set of printer definitions within the
DOS app to get around this.
But why, why, why would this one XP workstation misbehave where many
others are runnig just fine. I have gone in and played with every single
option available to me in XP printer configuration. I have chekced and re-
checked it against other XP Wss that do not behave this way. I'm stumped!
Has anyone else out here experienced this undesirable chopping of print
jobs into bitty bits? What did you do about it?
    Thanks,
    Donovan

Good suggestion, but I can assure you this is not the case. Our timeout is
set to 10 seconds, and most of these print jobs process inside of that.
Also, the parameter is set in the system login script, meaning that it is
a global setting, yet the XP machines behave one way, the W2Ks another
even though they are roughly equivalent in processing power.
    Thanks, Donovan

  • Word 2011 for Mac Did Not Save My Work despite many save presses. Why?

I have been working on a document all week on word 2011 for Mac.
I initially saved the document and named it. It is still there in the directory folder I originally created it in.
I pressed the save icon every 20 minutes when working on my word document, saved it before bed, saved it when I woke up etc. Hundreds of save presses in over 100 hours of work in the past 10 days.
I also had auto recovery saving enabled to save every 10 minutes, this is still enabled.
Additionally I have time machine set up where it had been backing my whole drive after every few hours to a time capsule. I thought I had my backup protocols covered!
Today while editing and moving a text box within the word document, the whole word doc crashed  with an error message saying “that it had encountered a problem and needed to close”.
I was expecting a recovered document to open back up as has occurred many times in the past when Word automatically reboots after a crash. However when the recovered document opened every piece of work had vanished except for the title page and a few words.
I thought no sweat I will go back and get a time machine copy as I had a weeks worth of back ups.
Upon going back to every back up from the last week, all my back up copy versions of the document in time machine is just the title page as well, even though I had been saving this all week and the documents was 50 pages long.
It appears that despite me hitting save, the document has not saved any of my work all week except for the first time I created the file; is this possible?
I cannot find a copy of the document in the Microsoft auto recovery, it does not reappear in it original form when I reopen Word.
I cannot find another copy in trash or on time capsule/time machine in the completed format that I had been saving it in.
I can find the file with the original file name, where I originally saved it but all the work has vanished even though the crash occurred when I was simply moving a text box to sit under a table. (IE I did not delete everything and then press save.
Things I noticed into the lead up the crash:
I tried to email to another email account last night as an attachment from word as a third back up and it would not send as an attachment, where this is usually an easy way to send a document as a safety back up.
I tried to “save as” and give it another name before the crash to experiment with different formatting and called it test test test test but it did not show up in the folder when I hit the “save as” button. Any subsequent search with SPOTLIGHT does not show any file by this name test test test test, even though I am 120% positive that I did save the file correctly in two different places on my computer. Hence again the file would not save even though I did all the normal steps of saving.
Why was the file not saving when I have been pushing the SAVE button? Was the file corrupted?
What has gone wrong and does anyone know where to look for the missing work? I have exhausted every option I know over the last few hours. Thanks for considering!

  • Background job delay due to  'ARFC' jobs running continously

    Dear all,
As we are facing problem that, there is job starting with the 'ARFC'(example: ARFC:AC1F0C0D386B463CA88E8D10)  which runs with all the users in the system. Thus the other background jobs even the sys monitoring jobs also goes for the delay for the longer time. This is happening from past 10 days.I m  unable to trace what has got change in the system due to which ,I m facing this issue.I had checked in the job logs also, in which i didnt got any help.In that it is only mentioned owner of the job.Pls check this at the high priority as it is affecting my normal background jobs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Akif

    Hi akif,
jobs which are stuck at ARFC mode needs to trigger other event controlled jobs. since they are updating the Database, unless those jobs trigger this job cannot run forward so try to find what kind of jobs from the user who scheduled the job and then take the action if the jobs are related to support packages and releasing of change request then try to schedule RDD* jobs under user DDIC in 000 client
this is not due to instance consistency

  • Too Many Activations...why is this still a problem?

So to make a long story short, I downloaded ADE onto my computer last week, everytime I open ADE from the same computer I get the message to authorize the computer which I have done, today I get the message that I have too many activations. Starting poking around these forums and other websites and have found that this is a pretty common problem and there seems to be no easy fix. I can't figure why Adobe does not have any easy fix for what seems to have been a problem with ADE for a couple of years? It seems to me that at this point it should be a matter of a simple phone call, silly me. First you have to get someone on the phone that speaks good english...
Anyone I put in my service ticket made three phone calls before I got someone that I could understand and of course he has no clue what to do. I just find that weird considering this seems to be a pretty common problem. Mostly I am just aggravated and venting. Any thoughts on this situation?

Hello, I am aware of the frame-by-frame feature within Photoshop. I meant exactly what I said. Though, I think I may have been a bit unclear. The Video Timeline is far better because I don't have to worry about tedious layer management. There is the addition of onion skinning. The only thing that I've found that the frame-by-frame animation allows for is to control timing in some elements.

under the icon is only RECENTLY PLAYED and RECENTLY ADDED.
Click on the icon and then select music up top of the app does NOT

I am now thinking this was a Steve Jobs joke he played on customers.
Does anyone know a definative way to view and manage songs or

  • Permissions repair repairs many permissions...why?

I'm wrestling with the Snow Leopard install on an iMac 3.06. I've got the OS installed and updated along with all the other software. I'm attempting to fix printing/scanning problems now, and having not such a good time, but that's a different post.
What I'm inquiring about is this: after my every install move, I repair permissions with Disk Utility, then restart.
However, every time I Repair Permissions, I get a boatload of repairs, all from the same source: System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachine/...
In fact, I just ran Repair Permissions two times in a row, and it repaired those same permissions twice in a row. What's going on?

I agree with Antonio and, I have read posts here about problems migrating from a PowerPC to an Intel machine…
That does not, in & of itself, mean there is any problem with Migration or Setup Assistant or any comparable manual method. If users migrate incompatible or damaged software, preferences, etc. from one Mac to another, then of course problems are possible. However, there is no need to worry that (for example) an Intel Mac will try to execute migrated PPC code or use out-of-date migrated cached info -- if the OS does that, then it was severely damaged by something else since these are fundamental checks the OS should perform routinely as part of its day-to-day operation.
Also, using the Setup Assistant (during the initial setup) is better than using the Migration Assistant later; although they basically perform the same tasks, the first one only sets up one account, whereas MA will sometimes create a second account with some degree of havoc to follow (this is what happened in my case; it took some time to sort it out and I won't be using MA again).
Setup Assistant will offer to migrate multiple existing accounts, just like Migration Assistant. The difference is that on the first user startup, when Setup Assistant runs automatically, there are no existing user accounts & thus no account name conflicts. Since it is not possible to merge two user accounts automatically, running Migration Assistant later, when an account has already been created on the destination Mac with the same name as an existing one on the source Mac, can result in two accounts on the destination Mac, one having a different name. Migration Assistant informs users of the name conflict before the migration begins, & gives the user several choices for what to do about it.
Some users are apparently confused by this or do not pay close attention to the dialog choice options, & end up with user files in two different accounts, each inaccessible from the other. Merging the two accounts manually can be messy, but this is true whether or not Migration Assistant is involved. The problem is the duplicate accounts, each of which contains a conflicting set of files, preferences, & other user settings in their respective home folders.

  • When sp_add_log_shipping_primary_database Creates Alert job - why sp_add_log_shipping_alert_job ?

    Hi,
    sp_add_log_shipping_primary_database created two jobs : 1. Backup Job 2.Alert Job . Why do we require sp_add_log_shipping_alert_job ?
    Many Thanks
    Chaithanya M
Regards Chaithu.. If it is usefull,Mark this as Answer.

But Alert job is by default created when we run sp_add_log_shipping_primary_database . so, why we need this one
    : sp_add_log_shipping_alert_job  ?
Regards Chaithu.. If it is usefull,Mark this as Answer.
    Hello,
Ok sorry I did not got your point first time. You dont need to create an alert using this method as alert is already created(as you said) .This proc also checks to see if alert job is created ,if not created it will create it.So as you say its already created
you dont need to run sp_add_logshipping_alert_job

  • Sorting array not working when run as a job

I have a Powershell script that reads data from a log file, extracts a username and adds it to an array. I then sort the array to remove duplicates and export the data to a CSV file. The script works fine when run locally on the server but I need to call
the script remotely for a number of servers and when I do this it does not output anything to the CSV. The script is run as a job.
    $ArrList = [System.Collections.ArrayList]@()
    # open file and read data
    $arrlist.Add("$final")
    $arrlist | sort -unique | out-file c:\scripts\iis_users.csv
If I change the script to use add-content it can add entries to the same CSV file. But ideally I need to sort the output as there are many duplicates.

Not sure why but that would only export the last user. I didn't have time to investigate so instead I decided to only add users to the array after first checking they didn't exist already:
    if ($arrlist -notcontains $final)
    $arrlist.Add("$final")
    add-content c:\scripts\iis_users.csv "$final"
I thought this would create a performance hit but it seems almost as fast.

There is another board for seeking jobs.  Why not try looking for it instead of posting the same thing over and over?
As for your first two lines, you may want to consider revising them, should you post the job seeking board.  "Seeks the job" -- should be something like "I am seeking a job".  I don't know what appropriate knocks are, and I don't think anyone else does, either.

  • All the DTP jobs are routing to one application server

    HI all,
DTP process job is triggering 3 child jobs all those child jobs are going to one application server, we have many DTP jobs all the jobs are routing to one paticular server that is causing application server to be hang(high cpu, memory utilization) .could you please suggest me in the process chain, is BI team can assign the application, i am not getting why dtp child jobs are executing only one application server, i have obesereved since 10 days it is happening. could you please suggest me how we can over come this.
    Thanks & Regards.
    Venugopal

Check tcode RSBATCH, If I'm not wrong DTP_LOAD process type is assigned to application server on which these DTP jobs are running. Remove that application server name and save.
Again use RSBATCH, under 'Background and Parallel Processes' tab, click 'Switch Off F4 Popup for Server/Host/Group', enter *** (star) under Users for 'Users for Whom NO Server/Host/Group Popup Should be Processed'. Now activate the PC and execute and check the DTP jobs.
Since u have 4 Appln Servers, best bet would be creating a server group. See the below link.

    Hello experts,
we are facing this issue: a selective deletion of approx. 5000 records out of 15 million records was carried out in a cube last friday.
