RBDMANI2 Program

Hi All,
I am using the program RBDMANI2 for processing the errored IDocs in 51 status for CUSTOMER MASTER. This is the following statement that i have written for it..
submit rbdmani2 with selection-table a02_rspar
with mestyp eq c_debmas sign 'I'
                 with so_creda-low ge p_stdte
                 exporting list to memory
                 and return.
I want this program to process all the IDocs in BACKGROUND that are passed to it.
but where as if an IDOC fails to post and there is an error in customer posting.. its stopping on that particular screen to rectify that error..
Could any of you suggest me what needs to be done to fix this problem.
Thank You,
Suresh

Pl..see the report <b>RBDCCMS1</b> its  also doing same kind of thing ... follow the logic  what its doing ..
<b>FYI</b>
Events
at line-selection.
  perform idoc_list_display.
Hope this’ll give you idea!!
<b>Pl... award the points.</b>
Good luck
Thanks

  • Workflow is not triggered via program RBDMANI2

    Hi,
We have a Workflow that triggers when an IDOC ends up in an error. It works fine when the IDOC is posted through XI and also when processed from WE19. When we try to re process through the Program RBDMANI2 the even is not triggered.
Business Object used: ZIDOCAPPL (Subtype of IDOCAPPL delegated to IDOCAPPL).
    Event: INPUTERROROCCURED
My doubt here is will an event be triggered when an IDOC is Processed through RBDMANI2 program? If yes then am i missing or is there some settings that needs to be or should i use any specific Business Object for this scenario.
Please throw some light upon this.
    Thanks,
    Prashanth

    Hi Prashant,
Best way to find out which event is getting triggered with this report is by using Event Trace, Follow the below steps.
(1)- Go to Tcode SWELS, (SWITCH ON THE TRACE).
(2)- Now run this Report .
(3)- Go to Tcode SWELS again.(SWITCH OFF THE TRACE).
(4)- Go to Tcode SWEL, Execute it, You'll find the Event name and Business object name that got trigerred.
Note: If you don't see any event getting trigerred in SWEL, this means that with this report no event is executing.
The other way around could be to use a BADI or User-exit in that you have to externally trigger the event by using function module.
    'SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT'
Note: If events are not getting trigerred through transactions, Then you can use this function module to trigger workflow from outside, So use this function module in any badi or exit or enhancement spot that suits your requirement.
    Thanks.

  • Reg : IDOC Monitoring

    Hi All,
Could any one please let me know abt the IDOC Monitoring technique?
What are all the things we need to take care in idoc monitoring?
Any inputs will be of gr8 use.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Abhilash.

    Hi Abhilash,
In Idoc monitoring we monitor the idocs in MMS system. Depending upon the type of data ( Master or Transactional) we need to take action .
For master data in error status, you need to replicate the data, if it still fails then you will create a ticket and assign it to your next level support.
Fror Transactional data in error status ( for eg  51 status you will first reprocess the data through RBDMANI2 program) u need to reprocess, if it still fails then create a ticket and assignit to properresolution group which will take care of issue.
Remember For master data you should always replicate the data first and for transaction reprocess the data.
we monitor the idocs in red status and yellow status.
    Red status -  02,26, 29, 51
    Yellow status - 30, 64 , 52
Depending on the status of idoc and type of data ( Master or Transactional) it contains you will take action.

  • IDocs - Business Partner - Error : Function 27 does not exist.... Any idea?

    Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to transfer a few business partners within CRM server using:
    Basic type:       CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE_M02
    Message Type     CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE_M
In a few of the BP IDocs I get the error (Status 51) saying "Function 27 does not exist".
Can you throw any light on this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi
Status 51 is not an technical error. It will occur due to incorrect or impure data in the idoc
Jus check the idoc segments whether it is carrying the correct data in the correct segments.
Jus get into the details of this error.
Once you have fixed this error with the help of  business / functional consultants then you can resend or reprocess this idoc using RBDMANI2 Program.
    Cheers,
    Hakim

  • Get Idoc Types Processed by Jobs Running Programs RBDAPP01 or RBDMANI2

Hi Everyone! I would just like to ask if there is a way I can identify all background jobs which are processing a specific idoc type in SAP?
For example, I want to get the Jobs that are processing inbound idoc type WMMBXY using program RBDAPP01 or RBDMANI2.
Is there a way to extract this information?
    Thanks in advance!

Vincent, we have a conservative approach RE those programs that re-process IDOCs in pending or error status : we do not define those jobs with open selections, instead we are specific in terms of message type and partner where applicable.  We also set a limit in the number or attempts on a failed IDOC by setting a 'rolling start date'  (like current date - 7).  Besides audit considerations about lingering processes,  you also need to take into account the impact of this process on the tale size. Each time the job runs and the IDOC fails, a status record will be added to the EDIDS table for each of those IDOC.  If you do not pay attention, you may end up with large amounts of data. This is not only going to unplease your BASIS and DB administrator but eventually put in jeopardy your archiving process (wchich could lead to a system crash !!).
We usually aslo complement those jobs with a status change step (moving from error to no further processing) ; the date parameter can be set to something like anythiing with a creation date > current date + 3 months
To come back to your question : SM37 using the program name as parameter will help you find the associated jobs, but you might need to look into the step(s) and associated variant to get the messages those jobs / steps are processing

  • Idoc processing best practices - use of RBDAPP01 and RBDMANI2

We are having performance problems in the processing of inbound idocs.  The message type is SHPCON, and transaction volume is very high.  I am a functional consultant, not an ABAP developer, but will try my best to explain our current setup.
    1)     We have a number of message variants for the inbound SHPCON message, almost all of which are set to trigger immediately upon receipt under the Processing by Function Module setting.
    2)      For messages that fail to process on the first try, we have a batch job running frequently using RBDMANI2.
We are having some instances of the RBDMANI2 almost every day which get stuck running for a very long period of time.  We frequently have multiple SHPCON idocs coming in containing the same material number, and frequently have idocs fail because the material in the idoc has become locked.  Once the stuck batch job is cancelled and the job starts running again normally, the materials unlock and the failed idocs begin processing.  The variant for the RBDMANI2 batch job is currently set with a packet size of 1 and without parallel processing enabled.
I am trying to determine the best practice for processing inbound idocs such as this for maximum performance in a very high volume system.  I know that RBDAPP01 processes idocs in status 64 and 66, and RBDMANI2 is used to reprocess idocs in all statuses.  I have been told that setting the messages to trigger immediately in WE20 can result in poor performance.  So I am wondering if the best practice is to:
    1)     Set messages in WE20 to Trigger by background program
    2)     Have a batch job running RBDAPP01 to process inbound idocs waiting in status 64
    3)     Have a periodic batch job running RBDMANI2 to try and clean up any failed messages that can be processed
I would be grateful if somebody more knowledgeable than myself on this can confirm the best practice for this process and comment on the correct packet size in the program variant and whether or not parallel processing is desirable.  Because of the material locking issue, I felt that parallel processing was not desirable and may actually increase the material locking problem.  I would welcome any comments.
This appeared to be the correct area for this discussion based upon other discussions.  If this is not the correct area for this discussion, then I would be grateful if the moderator could re-assign this discussion to the correct area (if possible) or let me know the best place to post it.  Thank you for your help.

    Hi Bob,
Not sure if there is an official best practice, but the note 1333417 - Performance problems when processing IDocs immediately does state that for the high volume the immediate processing is not a good option.
I'm hoping that for SHPCON there is no dependency in the IDoc processing (i.e. it's not important if they're processed in the same sequence or not), otherwise it'd add another complexity level.
In the past for the high volume IDoc processing we scheduled a background job with RBDAPP01 (with parallel processing) and RBDMANIN as a second step in the same job to re-process the IDocs with errors due to locking issues. RBDMANI2 has a parallel processing option, but it was not needed in our case (actually we specifically wouldn't want to parallel-process the errors to avoid running into a lock issue again). In short, your steps 1-3 are correct but 2 and 3 should rather be in the same job.
Also I believe we had a designated server for the background jobs, which helped with the resource availability.
As a side note, you might want to confirm that the performance issues are caused only by the high volume. An ABAPer or a Basis admin should be able to run a performance trace. There might be an inefficiency in the process that could be adding to the performance issue as well.
    Hope this helps.

  • RBDMANI2 for IDOCs in error not working in Background..

    Dear All,
We have an ALE-IDOC scenario in which our IDOC gets posted in the destination system with status 51 as per business reqt. We schedule a job in the background using program RBDMANI2 which is used to manually reprocess IDOCS in error.
This background job was working fine in the 4,7 R/3 Server, but we have upgarded the receiving system to ECC 6.0. Now the problem is dat when we try to reprocess the IDOC using this job, the IDOC are not processing further.. It ideally is supposed to do further processing as per the code writen.
We tried debugging the code(RBDMANI2) in background. But, its not helping.
    Kindly advise.
    Regards,
    Santosh Reddy.

On primary research I found that there is a call to this FM 'SAPGUI_PROGRESS_INDICATOR' .
In that FM see line 12.
    IF SY-BATCH <> SPACE.
              EXIT.    "do nothing in batch
           ENDIF.
May be this is the cause of your error.

  • Edi Inbound program

    hI Experts,
Can any body help me how to write Inbound program in EDI with Technical Description. My requirement ls like this When the company is paying amount to vendors, The company has to send amount information to bank by using transaction F110. When ever bank receives the information it has to display 'information received'. When ever bank is processed it has to display information ' payment proceed'.
I will give you maximum points.
                                                                                Thanks
                                                                                    Satya.

    Hi,
For inbound process generally the file from legacy system comes in xml FORMAT to EDI subsystem now it will be converted to IDOC file format or an idoc format.
if u get in IDOC file format then u need to use WE16 tcode .Now u need to put ur IDOC file in the application server directory and in WE21 U need to create a file port and then in the inbound file tab need to specify the application server path where u stored the IDOC file.
Now go to WE16 and give the directory path as well the file port and execute ,u will see an idoc will be created and can get the datails in WE02/WE05 tcode.
if u straight away get in idoc format then u can test in WE19 tcode by using the message type radio button ,Give the control record information and data record information   and then u need to specify the FM which actually triggers the idoc inWE57 and u need to give that name in WE19 .Now press on execute button u will find the creation of idoc.
For inbound process the only method we have is processcode method which is attached to a FM in we42 ,whcih trigggers the idoc.

  • RBDMANI2 Idoc Reprocessing IDOC Failure Notification

    Hi SAP Friends,
I developed an inbound interface for LIV electronic invoice(MIRO) with basic type INVOIC02. At present everything going smooth.
i scheduled a background job with the program RBDMANI2 to reprocess the failed IDOCS. i.e if any failed idocs required SAP side changes, users will complete the changes. Then the scheduled job will process the failed IDOC.
IDOC will process if corrected data is satisfying else IDOC will fail again with Status 51.
Now the failed IDOC notification we are not getting any notfication.
If IDOC is failing first time idoc failure notification will come. At that point Object Type IDOCINVOIC & Event INPUTERROROCCURREDMM is triggering.
When i am reprocessing through the scheduled job of program RBDMANI2 , i am not getting any failed notification.
Can anyone help me out where i am missing the event. i need to activate any other event linkage for the reprocessing.
I tried with SWELS, i did not get any event when i execting the program RBDMANI2.
Appreciate your help and valuable inputs.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinivas Bhavanam

Srinivas, per my understanding the failure event is only triggered once. You can attest this yourself by executing the associated workflow.  If you select the process option and all errors were not addressed, the current work item remains active ; eventually the error message will be changed in case the IDOC is now failing for another reason.  There is only one workflow instance for the same IDOC  ; the failed batch processing does not generate any new workflow or IDOCs, it only updates the current instances (workflow) and add an entry to the IDOC status table (EDIDS)

  • Status Errors In RBDMANI2

I am currently experiencing a problem in using program RBDMANI2 to reprocess some failed IDOCs whereby the status message is being appended to the wrong IDOC.
For example, IDOC no 1234 fails, as does IDOC 1235.  Periodically, RBDMANI2 is run in batch mode to reprocess all failed IDOCs.  IDOC 1234 and 1235 are set to status successful, even though the data contained in IDOC 1234 has not been successfully processed, and the success message contains the document number relating to IDOC 1235.
I have checked for the obvious, such as message and BDC data tables not being refreshed, but this appears to be OK.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where the problem may lie?
    Thanks
    Colin

Why don't you put a break-point in your processing function module and execute RBDMANI2 to see what's wrong inside?

                   System.out.println("await interupted: "+e.getMessage());
              }finally{
                   list.unlock();
         }this is deadlock
    *int list = 0;*
*while((list = record.size)<1) was screwing things up because of the assignment*record is ArrayList of strings. when better to use Vector instead of ArrayList? i notice no differnce and i use threads
initially I thought record.size was being evaluated and before could be assigned to list, time slice ran out. this could not be case because I use ReentrantLock (list) to lock it.

  • How do I install all my old programs and data from an old system folder after I have reinstalled the same OSX system after a crash?

The system is OSX10.5.8 Leopard on a 2009 imac. A new system was installed from the installation disks and the original system saved to a folder.
I need to use my Adobe programs, rescue my email, i-tunes and iphoto data.  The disk utility indicates that my Time Machine back-up disk is damaged and I don't want to take a risk of having Time Machine erase my hard drive and try to reinstall the exact system existing at the time of the crash.  There was over 650 gb of stored files that I was copying and removing from the drive at the time it crashed. The total size of the original system file is still about 650 Gb.
I would prefer to go back in Time Machine and only rescue the programs as most of the files have been copied to external hard drives, but I can't access the back-up hard drive from the new version of the Time Machine.  Or by I don't want the Time Mchine to start copying the new operating system which would include all the data in the old system file. Time Machine was working fine at the time of the crash.

No, the disk was backed up with time machine a few hours prior to the crash.  I was unable to open the computer when I tried to restart it- got a grey screen with the spinning disk- after a few minutes the screen would go black and would reboot continuously, but not load any images or programs. I started the computer from the 10.5.4 installation disks and checked both the time machine external hard drive and the Imac internal drive with the disk utilities. Both showed as damaged --the internal drive and permissions were repaired, but the external drive (time machine back-up)  was damaged and not repairable by disk utilities. I don't believe that the external drive for Time Machine was connected to the computer at the time of the crash as I was copying files to a different hard drive drive. And I was not having any problems with the TM back-up drive prior to the crash.
I accessed the Imac internal disk by firewire (as a target disk) and copied as many data files as I had room for on my external hard drives available.  And I deleted quite a few files from the imac internal drive (mostly just jpegs, duplicate tifs, etc--nothing that was used by i-photos, i-tunes or the Mail program).
Then I installed a new OSX10.5.4 system from the installation disk and the old system was moved to a folder on the hard drive.  I previousy had had the option to reinstall the complete system from Time Machine when I connected that drive and booted with the installation disks with the C key depressed.  But it didn't seem like a good option because I was unsure of the condition of that external disk and whether it would be able to reinstall my data correctly, once it had erased my internal hard drive.
I'm considering buying some new external hard drives and backing up the present system to time Machine (so I'll still have my old data in the old system folder).  And then I would try using the old Time Machine back-up to try to reinstall the sytem previous to the crash.  That back-up would reinstall about 700gb of data and operating software and programs which sounds like a lengthy back-up.  Since I have never used Time Machine to do a full reinstallation (I've only used it for individual files), I'm reluctant to do anything rash.
I'm a professional designer (with a deadline) but I can still use my Illustrator and Photoshop by opening them from the old system folder and saving the files to an external drive.  So it's not neccessary to do anything hasty except to delete some of the excess art and document files that were causing the computer to run slowly and the  Adobe programs to crash when I tried to save my work. I have quite a few books on tape in the i-tumes folder which is probably talking up tons of space but I don't where the i-tunes files live.
    Thanks for any help. Peggy
