RDBMS sync creating it's own accountactions.csv file

Trying to set up to do batch uploads of network devices and Users.
I've created a small test accountactions.csv file and placed it on an FTP server.
When we try to get ACS to pull this file we get this error in the report
"No import CSV file on FTP Server - nothing to process"
However in the same directory the ACS server does create an empty file with a name of accountactions.csv.read .
So now in the directory we've got two files
accountactions.csv
accountactions.csv.read
Any idea what is going on? Have we missed something simple?

Hi, use proper format for that file. See:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacsapp/csapp33/user/ag.htm#wp395615
Action codes which are needed for VSA importing are listed in:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacsapp/csapp33/user/ag.htm#wp393038
basically you need action codes - 350 to 355.

  • Creating a header for a .CSV file

    Hi,
    I have looked through the forums and cannot find a solution for creating a header for a csv file.  I am using Labview 8.2.  I want a label for each column at the top of the file and then I will append new rows to the file as the data is collected.  An example of what I am looking for is attached.
    It would also be nice to have the labels descending in the first column, pretty much a transposed version of what was described above.
    Thanks,

    Thank you very much.  That worked well.
    If i wanted to transpose the data how would I do that?  I can get the header to be vertical, but I cant get the data to append to the 2nd column , and then the third and so on with the data descending from top to bottom.  I attached an example of what I might want the file to look like. Each column would be added one at a time.

    Hi All,

    <DocObjectCodeEx>22</DocObjectCodeEx>
    I got an error that there is no such a property in Document. Then I changed it to
    <DocObjectCode>22</DocObjectCode>
    And still got an error that this field isn't supported for this dokcument.
    Please tell me how to create Draft in B1iSN?
    It's mystery for me right now.

  • Unable to create shared mailboxes from a csv file

    Hi,
    I have a list of 130 shared mailboxes that I must create. So I created a CSV file like this:
    Name,Alias,OrganizationalUnit,Database,UserPrincipalName
    John Smith,jsmith,domain.com/accounts/shared,mailbox database A,[email protected]
    Mark Flone,mflone,domain.com/accounts/shared,mailbox database A,[email protected]
    ETC.....
    The list is ready and it is saved.
     import-csv C:\path | New-mailbox -Shared
    the Error is the following:
    "Cannot bind parameter 'Name' to the target. Exception setting "Name": "The property can't be empty."
    I went into my spreadsheet and Trimmed everything, then saved and still the same error result.
    Then I tried the following:
    import-csv C:\temp\sharedMailboxCreationTest.csv | ForEach-Object {New-Mailbox -shared  -Name $_.Name  -Alias $_.Alias  -OrganizationalUnit $_.OrganizationalUnit -UserPrincipalName $_.UPN -Database $_.Database}
    The Error:
    "Cannot bind argument to parameter 'UserPrincipalName' because it is an empty string."
    What am I missing here?
    Alexis

    You have UserPrincipalName column heading in the csv file so this should be your cmdlet.
    import-csv C:\temp\sharedMailboxCreationTest.csv | ForEach-Object {New-Mailbox -shared  -Name $_.Name  -Alias $_.Alias  -OrganizationalUnit $_.OrganizationalUnit -UserPrincipalName $_.UserPrincipalName -Database $_.Database}

  • Create external table on a CSV file with a variable number of delimiters

    Hi experts,
    I was wondering what the best approach for the following issue.
    I'm trying to create an external table on a file which has in each record (on a new line 'RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE') a variabel number of delimiters. By example my delimiter is a comma , in the first record I have 100 comma's in the second only 60, the next 80 etc.etc.
    Is there a way to create a external table on this file?
    Thanks in advance.

    alter the source is no option, unfortunalty. But is suggested there would be a sensible workway to handle it. An to solve it I want to pivot i, but first I think I need to have the file in Oracle through a external table.

  • Address book sync creates duplicate contacts imported from .cvs file

    Contacts on my iPod are weird--there are duplicate entries for some people, but one of the duplicates contains only email addresses whereas the other has all the remaining info. Everything seems normal in Addresss Book--no duplicates, and all the info. is there. Not all of my contact entris have this this duplication/split info. problem. Those that have the problem were originally imported into Address Book from an Excel .cvs file. I also sync with a Motorola Razr and the same names were duplicated fully on the phone, with each entry having all the phone numbers that should have been synced. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

    Hi and welcome to the BlackBerry Forums
    I never hear this, but try this.
    If you have all the correct data in outlook, my suggestion is wipe the device (all the data is erased) and synch the device again.
    To wipe the device go to menu,  options, security options, general options, press menu, and wipe handheld.
    If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.

  • Deleting or Renaming the AccountAction.csv in RDBMS synchronization

    Good morning all,
    I am trying to finalize a process using the RBDMS Sync on Cisco ACS 4.1 SE. The process will get my AccountActions.csv file, but does not seem to want to rename it. I have the synch occuring every morning at 0300. I guess one question would be, if the file does not change, what will occur? I get an error like this;
    Could not delete CSV file on FTP Server - may process same actions again. (The file may be in use).
    I have set up the FTP server to allow deletion and renaming from this login.
    Any help or direction would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dwane

    I would schedule something to rename the account actions csv on the ftp server.. have it run at 04:00
    That way you know it done. Otherwise ACS will simply process all the same actions again.
    This is because RRBMS sync was designed to work with proper databases. There is a field to indicate a row has been processed, but csv files are read only thanks to the retarded Microsoft csv driver.

  • Help me in creating a Device Collection - i have a list of machine name (in a excel or CSV file)

    Hello Guys,
    I have created a Device collection for UK region (2000+ machines)
    Now i have been given a list of 1000 machines to which i need to deploy an application.
    I have to create a device collection for this 1000+ machines. as an input i have a excel or CSV file with a list of machine names.
    Please suggest me how can i create a device collection with CSV file as input. Is my CSV file should be in particular format.
    Or is there any other way i can create a collection for this 1000 specific machines.
    Please suggest.

    My previous post was for sccm 2012.
    here its for 2007
    In the Operating System Deployment section of SCCM right click on Computer Association and choose
    Import Computer Information
    when the wizard appears select Import Computers using a file
    The file itself must contain the information we need in this (CSV) format
    COMPUTERNAME,GUID,MACADDRESS
    (sample below)
    Quote
    deployvista,3ED92460-0448-6C45-8FB8-A60002A5B52F,00:03:FF:71:7D:76
    NEWCOMP1,55555555-5555-5555-5555-555555555555,05:06:07:08:09:0A
    NEWPXE,23CA788C-AF62-6246-9923-816CFB6DD39F,00:03:FF:72:7D:76
    w2k8deploy,BFAD6FF2-A04E-6E41-9060-C6FB9EDD4C54,00:03:FF:77:7D:76
    if we look at the last line, I've marked the computer name in Red, the GUID in BLUE and the MAC address in GREEN, separate these values with commas as above.
    w2k8deploy,BFAD6FF2-A04E-6E41-9060-C6FB9EDD4C54,00:03:FF:77:7D:76
    the file can be a standard TEXT file that you create in notepad, and you can rename it to CSV for easier importing into our wizard...
    so, click on Browse and browse to where you've got your CSV file
    on the Choose Mapping screen, you can select columns and define what to do with that mapping, eg: you could tell it to ignore the GUID value (we won't however)
    on the next screen you'll see a Data Preview, and this is useful as it will highlight any errors it finds with a red exclamation mark, in the example below a typo meant that it correctly flagged the MAC address as invalid
    so edit your CSV file again and fix the error, click previous (back) and try again
    Next choose the target collection where you want these computers to end up in
    review the summary
    in SCCM collections, we can now see the computers we've just imported from File,
    Enjoy

  • Facing issue in Bulk Load Post Process in case of blank fields in csv file

    Hi,
    I ran command line bulk utility to create users in OIM through CSV file. I left few columns as blank which were not mandatory. After executing the bulk utility, user got successfully created in OIM but after that when i ran "Bulk Load Post Process" for LDAP sync then it changed the user's organisation to default organisation "Xellerate User" which is a major issue. It is happening only when i am leaving some column blank. Any idea why it is happening and how to resolve this problem? Need some urgent help!!

    Hi ,
    Thanks for your reply, the issue was we can not use DOD=Y due to the dependency of the Standard Version where other program fetches data from the same XML structure,
    Any way we resolved this issue by re doing below post installation steps. And used a new schema with updated DTD and point that with the same logical schema.
    1) Created a new schema for XML external database
    2) Change the DTD file, keep it in the same location
    3) Change properties file with new schema name
    4) Test with the new schema for XML connection
    5) Reverse engineer the BaseModel ITEMBRANCH only (Where we added additional XML Tags)
    6) Bounce back ODI agent and Client
    Thanks,

  • Variable substitution for csv file

    Hi Guys,
    I am using Multimapping to generate 2 target messages and finally creating these 2 messges as csv files. But i need to use variable substitution (because dynamic configuration doesnt work in multimapping) to create the target files and i need to omit this node from content.  i know if it is fixed length file we can use variable substitution and finally we can cut the variable in content conversion by using below method
    fixedLengthToodShortHandling   cut
    Note:- I am using PI7.1
    thanks,
    madhu

    You must separate variable filename from the other fields in several nodes.
    Please, analyze if you can change your scenario, with next stucture:
    <ns0:MT_MadhuMulti xmlns:ns0="http://rr.unilever.com/bconepi13">
    <Strutcture>
    <Name>Syam</Name>
    <***>FEMALE</***>
    <ID>123</ID>
    </Strutcture>
    </Strutcture>
    <Strutcture>
    <Name>Syam1</Name>
    <***>Male</***>
    <ID>789</ID>
    </Strutcture>
    <nothing>
    <Filename>EmpDetails</EmpDetails>
    </nothing>
    </ns0:MT_MadhuMulti>
    And then in your CC:
    Recordset strucutre --> Structure,nothing
    Structure.fieldSeparator --> ;
    nothing.fieldFixedLengths --> 0
    nothing.fixedLengthTooShortHandling --> Cut
    nothing.endSeparator --> '0'

  • Csv file as source in OBI

    Hi,
    I am trying to use a csv file as a data source for OBI Answers where I will be updating the csv file daily and want to see the changes on the front end.
    These are the steps I am doing:
    1) create csv file and save on local machine
    2) create ODBC connection with Microsoft Text Driver (.txt, .csv)
    3) directory selected for .csv and format defined (format: CSV Delimited, characters: OEM), columns "guess" and then columns appear in list
    4) In Admin Tool the .csv file/table is imported into physical layer (RPD offline)
    5) When data is viewed for table in admin tool then data shows up fine
    My issue is when I start the BI server and open the RPD online then try to view the data of the file in the physical layer then I get number of errors:
    [nqs error: 10058] A general error has occured
    [nqs error: 43093] An error occured while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL statement
    [nqs error: 16001] ODBC error state: IM006 code: 0 message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed
    [nqs error: 16001] ODBC error state: S1009 code: -1023 message: [Microsoft][ODBC Text Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides..When I stop the BI server and open the RPD offline and then try to view data from the RPD then it connects fine and the data shows up.
    Any thoughts on how I can resolve the issue so I can model the data on RPD online and create dashboards/reports from the csv file??
    MANY THANKS!

  • 2.5 GB CSV file as data source for Crystal report

    Hi Experts,
        I  was asked to create a crystal report using crystal report as datasource(CSV file that is pretty huge (2.4Gb)). Could you help with me any doc that expalins the steps mainly with data connectivity.
    Objective is to create Crystal Report using that csv file as data source, save the report as .rpt with the data and send the results to customer to be read with Crystal Reports Viewer or save the results to PDF.
    Please help and suggest me steps as I am new to crystal reports and CSV as source.
    BR, Nanda Kishore

    Nanda,
    The issue of having some records with comma and some with a semi colon will need to be resolved before you can do an import. Assuming that there are no semi colons in any of the text values of the report, you could do a "Find & Replace" to convert the semi colons to commas.
    If find & replace isn't an option, you'll need to get the files separately.
    I've never used the Import Export Wizzard myself. I've always used the BULK INSERT command
    It would look something like this...
    BULK INSERT SQLServerTableName
    FROM 'c:\My_CSV_File.csv'
    WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR = ',')
    This of course implies that your table has the same columns, in the same order as the csv files and that each column is the correct data type to accept the incoming data.
    If you continue to have issues getting your data into SQL Server Express, please post in one of these two forums
    [Transact-SQL|http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/transactsql/threads]
    [SQL Server Express|http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlexpress/threads]
    The Transact-SQL forum has some VERY knowledgeable people (including MVPs and book authors) posing answers.
    I've never posed to the SQL Server Express but I'm sure they can trouble shoot your issues with the Import Export Wizard.
    If you post in one of them, please copy the post link back to this thread you I can continue to to help.

  • How to configure sync rules involving a CSV file and portal self service

    Hello,
     I need to configure some FIM sync rules for the following scenario:
     User account details are entered from a HR CSV file and exported to AD  Users have the ability to modify their own AD attributes in the
    FIM portal (there is not a requirement for them to view their  HR CSV data in the portal). The FIM portal modifications will be exported to AD as expected.
    My setup is as follows:
    CSV file - name, last name, employee ID, address.
    CSV MA - has direct attribute flows configured in the MA between the data source and MV Portal self service attributes –
    users can edit mobile, display name and photo
    I've also set the CSV MA as precedent for the attributes
    FIM MA – attribute flows defined for MV to Data Source as usual (i.e. firstname to firstname, accountname to accountname, etc).
    AD MA – no attribute flows defined as inbound and outbound sync rules have been configured in the portal using the Set\MPR\Triple.
    I’m thinking of using the following run profiles:
    CSV MA – full import and delta sync (imports HR data)
    FIM MA –  export and delta import (imports portal changes)
    FIM MA – delta sync (syncs any portal changes)
    AD MA – export and delta import
    If my understanding is correct this should sync HR data from CSV to AD, as well as user attribute self service updates from the portal to AD.
    If I wanted to just do a HR CSV sync could I get away with just steps 1 & 4 ? (presumably not as my rules are in the FIM portal?)
    If I wanted to do just a portal sync, could I get away steps 2-4?
    Any advice on how to improve my setup is much appreciated - cheers
    IT Support/Everything

    The truth is that your design should be done in the way that it doesn't matter which profiles in which order you will execute. At the end, if you will run all import, synch and export profiles on each data source you should get same result. This is beauty
    of synch engine here.
    Your steps from 1-4 will synch data to your data sources and at the end will give you expected result. But not because of the order you are executing them but because of correct attribute flows. If flows from CSV file and from FIM portal might be done for
    the same attributes you need to think also about attribute precedence.

  • RDBMS Synchronization with a .CSV file

    Good morning. I am trying to create a testable .csv file that I can import into our ACS on a prescheduled basis.
    Here are my questions about this process:
    1. Do I need to use the PASS_Expire action or is there a STOP_DATE? I have looked at the codes and didn't really see one.
    2. Is there a way that I can extract a copy of the dump.txt or get my actual database exported to a different system?
    3. What are the group's recommendations on synchronization? Are there some lesson's learned I should look out for?
