It has been years since we have used Comcast services.Today we just had it reconnected. We were supposed to get the 105mbs service.It is supposed to be great for gaming and yadda yadda yadda.Well we haven't been able to use our service all day. We try to do some online gaming. NOPE!The connection wont stay connected. The service tech was HORRIBLE!He did not even run any testing to make the connection was ok. Well I guess now we know why! He knew that the connection was going to be HORRIBLE just like him!I call Comcast 3 times and all they say is "the system says that is what you should get".Well let me tell you, when you purchase 105 MBS, then you should get that! We did the speed test and were only getting 46 MBS. WTH? Our game systems wouldn't even get 12 MBS and the was with the LAN Cable.This service is a complete rip off! They false advertise and then just throw their hands up like "oh well and hey if you need someone at your house, then it will be days later"........ Guess what? Back to Centurylink! they give us 50 MBS and it is FASTER with NO connection errors! Oh hey just plugged Centurylink back in and we are up and running in a snap of a finger.SURPRISE!! Oh wait.... I'm not!Also, their customer service actually tries to help. PEACE OUT COMCAST!!!  Thanks for nothing!

As dwitham said, you need to understand the difference between a broadcast station, actually called broadcast networks, and a broadcast provider. 
A broadcast network is an organization that provides live or recorded content to a provider. 
A broadcast provider is an organization who receives the content from the broadcast network and distributes it. 
In other words, the shows that air on the channels that you watch have nothing to do with who is delivering you the content. No provider has any control over what is given to them and is only responsible for airring the provided content. 
If you wish to write a letter, do as dwitham suggested again, and write to the network channels themselves as they are the only ones who have the ability to change what you're seeing on them.

    Complaint ..   Comcast -- have several broadcast stations that are showing repeat, repeat shows for the last 2-3 years such as Murder She wrote, Hart to Hart, Golden Girls, I love lucy, Little house on the praise, Food Network,  HGTV, and many more  as well as QVC, HTC and so many other stations are repeating. I go to Bestbuy store and make sure it's compatible with the Viper Responder LC3 5706V 2-Way Remote Start and Security System. Bestbuy print out the document everything say is compatible with my vehicle. and then I make  an Appointment on July 31, 2015, 01:00 PM 4 Hrs162 SANTILLI HWY EVERETT MA Confirmation Number: VRJF2718. it is the lady help me to install it. she say it take 4 to 5 hours to finish. I said I wait here at Bestbuy out there until finish installation. After more than 5 hours. I come in the Bestbuy mobile installation there. and the lady tell me my car is broke fuse link. The vehicle will not start. and also she said she did not touch anything. I ask why the fuse is broke if you did not touch anything. she said the fuse broke all the time. It is normal. My car less than 1400 miles. just like new. My all family use Toyota. 6 year never broke the engine fuse. She try to tell me the fuse link broke is not because the installation process. She try to tell is not her responsibility. She said already call Woburn Toyota repair on Monday. I m so worry about my car. I take the subway to Wellington station and walk to Bestbuy on the next day. and then she tell me the car has to tow to Woburn Toyota to repair. on August 4. I went to Bestbuy with my friends. We talk to the Geek Squad manager I think his name is Jason. He tell me the car can fix and pick up today about 1PM,  I called Woburn Toyota and they tell me pick up my car. after pick up my car. I have to go back to Bestbuy finish the remaining installation because the viper already installed in my car. About 2:30PM. Tom said it take about 20 to 30 minutes to program the key. after Program the key. It has problem to start the engine. Sometime the engine start only a few seconds it shut it down. He don't know how to program the key, the key has the code has to match the car. Tom keep try and try to start the engine until the car battery is dead. and then use the  jump starter to charge the battery. and keep try and try. I don't remember how many time he try to start the engine. it make me very scare. I ask Tom many time about the compatible. He said yes. about 6PM. I talk to the manager, I said do you think will tow my car again. He tell me to talk to Tom. I told Tom I have to use my car tomorrow for work. I paid to much for the cab. And then he take out the Vipers. Wednesday 4:40am in the morning. I drive for my job. I found out the automatic light is not on. it has other issue. The Auto switch is on, but the automatic light is not on. me and my friends went to Bestbuy again and talk to manager. First He said is not my responsibility. You already pick up the car. I m telling you. no one will know the automatic sensor will broke if not drive at night or dark place. I have my KDLINKS X1 FULL HD WIDE ANGLE CAR DASHBOARD CAMCORER WITH GPS install in my car. I lost money because the Viper Responder LC3 5706V already used. It can't return it. Also I lost time. wait long time in Bestbuy, 4 hours job it take 5 days. I have no car to use. I have to paid the cab for my job. I have to drive my car to Woburn Toyota to see what is broke on 08/7/2015. After 5 hours long wait. The Toyota said Tom forgot to connect the wire.  They said the first time broke the big fuse link and tow to Toyota repair. It is the big problem. It broke because they start the engine more than hundred time. I know because I took the chair and wait inside the second time with Tom. He try to start my engine between 5 second. I know what is troubleshooting. but if you try to start the engine 3 time and not work. You will know is sometime wrong. You have to find out the problem and maybe get help. Not just keep try to start the engine on the remote. I tell Tom even you try thousand time. it could be the same. I know I complaint the first time when they broke my car big fuse. but please don't treat my car like that. I want to ask you. if you take your car there for installation. You wait there more than 5 hours and your new car is broke by them. and you have no car to use for your job. Are you happy about that. Second time he said only take 30 minutes to program the key. It take me wait there 5 hours. He forgot connect the wire. If you don't believe, you can call Woburn Toyota. Everyone know Bestbuy broke my 2015 Toyota Highlander. Bestbuy should reimburse my lost. I lost time and money. The Viper I can't return to other retail store because it used by your company. It fail to install and broke my car. I try to call Geek squad 18004335778 two times and talk to different people. they just hand up my phone after I tell my stories. They never give me the solution. and I know I post the message here may not helpful. I will keep try other way to tell my stories to other if Bestbuy not give me the solution.     I think Apple should be a bit more cautionary about iCloud and privacy.  My family shares the same iCloud account as we all enjoy the music we collectively purchase on iTunes; we paid Apple for this feature with some kind of grouped account.  We didn't know, however that this joins our devices so that iMessages, contacts, pictures and just about everything else is shared too.  The unprivate default seems to be to share everything between all devices vs. to allow access by exception or by choice (or by password?).  Sure, when my kids get all my texts I can go figure out why and fix it but that is in my mind the antithesis of privacy and could be quite embarrassing for any family.  I guess it is good for stalking the kids or parents though if they don't know about the partyline approach to privacy.  Maybe a tech solution would be to have the iPhone show somehow the extent of its audience to its user.

    No argument from me about the vagaries of using and sharing Apple IDs.  This can lead to unintended consequences, especially in a family situation.
    If you're sharing the same ID for FaceTime, you might want to go to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with separate IDs there too.  Otherwise, you'll end up getting each other's FaceTime calls.
    Also, if you need to migrate everyone's devices to separate iCloud accounts to keep your synced data separated, you can do this by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.  Once everyone's devices are on separate accounts, you can go to icloud.com and delete each other's data from your accounts.

    when trying to play FarmVille with Firefox on my laptop, a window continually pops open with the title "about blank" then it closes, and pops open again right away. Because of this I can not manage to do anything on the FarmVille screen. This does NOT happen on my desktop machine. Both are running Windows 7 64 bit. How can I prevent the window from poping up all the time? Something is continually sending a request, but I do not know what it is. Thank you for any help or suggestions. By the way, Google Chrome works perfectly, but I prefer Firefox.

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Had to change my Apple ID because the original email address is no longer valid.  How do I change the iCloud user name on iMac?  I found instructions about signing out of iCloud and signing back end.  It asks questions about contact, etc.

    Had to change Apple ID due to email address no longer valid.  Trying to change id for icloud...saw direction online about signing out of icloud and signing back in...when it ask questions about contacts, photos, etc. being deleted how do I answer those?  That just sort of freaks me out.

    For the ones that give you an option, select the option you want (keep on the Mac or Delete). For the ones that are simply warning you, click on Delete from Mac.
    They will all come back when you sign back on, since all you did was change your existing Apple ID to a new email address. It's the same iCloud account, just with a different name.
    It's the only way to get your updated ID signed onto iCloud.

    a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
    Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

    I have a problem about public database link creation and I would appreciate if you could kindly give me a hand. I have the following connection parameters in my

    ...Having the above mentioned parameters I can connect to this remote database directly in a SQL*Plus shell:
    $ sqlplus username/[email protected] works pretty well and the connection is established without any problem.
    Now, what I would like to do is to create a public database link to this remote database in order to avoid the user/connection switching for viewing the
    content of this database. I proceeded according to the syntax indicated in the Oracle online documentation:

    Therefore I run the following in order to create a public database link

    Thanks a lot for this nice solution. In fact I had to add the connection parameters into the tnsnames.ora file of the server on which the link was created (not the tnsnames.ora of my oracle client stored on the localhost)
    After a bit googling I found another solution that allows to create the database link:
