  • Delete button on Form based on a table

    I created a form based on a table. For the delete button, how can I make it ask before deleting the record? ie, when the user hits Delete, a question comes up that asks: Do you really want to delete this record? The user then hits Yes or No.
    Please be specific, I'm new to Portal. Thanks for any help.

    1. Edit your Form and go to "Step 4 of 7, Formatting and Validation Options" section of the builder.
    2. In the left frame, click on DELETE_TOP and/or DELETE_BOTTOM link.
    3. In the right frame, you should see a section (i.e. "Javascript Event Handlers") where you can add your own javascript code. Click on the onClick event.
    4. In the adjacent free-text field, add the following code:
    javascript:if(confirm('Do you really want to delete this record?')){
    null;
    else
    window.stop();
    5. Click on OK to compile. That's it.
    The window.stop() is needed to prevent the PL/SQL event handler (i.e. Update) from running. Without window.stop(), if the user presses Cancel, the form will perform an update anyway. You'll need to remember that the Form will by default perform the Javascript handlers first, then the PL/SQL handler.

  • 'Reuse_alv_grid_display' - how to enable save layout button

    Hi,
    am not getting the option 'save layout' button in my ALV. I have tried the following code.
    s_layout-colwidth_optimize = c_on.
    s_layout-zebra = c_on.

    s_variant-username = sy-uname.

    Please help.

    Dear Arvind,
    If you are using "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" and not passing "I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM = SY-REPID", You will not be able to save layout.
    So I request all to pass following parameters to save layout.

          I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM = SY-REPID
          IS_LAYOUT                     = WA_LAYOUT

  • Enable Delete button depending on the shopping cart status

    Hi all,
    My requirement is Enable the delete button if the status of selected shopping cart is 'Awaiting Approval' in header and item level.
    Technical detail of delete button : Component : POWL_UI_COMP
                                                      WINDOW : TABLE
                                                      VIEW : VIEW_TABLE
                                                       TOOLBAR BUTTON ID : F_DELETE.
    please help...

    Thinking aloud,
    - should the button be a resource from Webcenter, you could modify its visibility (property) via EL: #{WCSecurityContext.userInGroup['Administrators']} will display the button only if the user is in Administrators group
    - does your portlet have a parameter like that? If so, you should be able to fill it in with EL. If not, I doubt you will be able to achieve visibility changes - you might try to contact the producer of your portlet to do the necessary changes, though.

  • Disable Delete Button

    Hi All,
    In the menu Shopping cart Status, I could able to see all the shopping cart.
    Now the requierment is , DELETE button should be disable if there is any corresponding PO for that SC.
    Please let me know how to do this. I tried with BADI BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI. But this will hide alll the SC's irrespective of PO's.
    Please let me know any other way to do this?
    I am working on SRM 5

    Hi
    It will be too complex(if at all possible) to implement a solution for enabling/disabling delete button depending on the follow on document of the cart.
    I will recommend you to put some code in Check BADI which could check the follow on documents for a Shopping cart on Action DELETE and throw an error if someone tries to delete such shopping carts.

    once login OIM with normal user it want allow you to disable/delete operation.
    Else for better usage use authorization policy. create a group/role and provide certain privilege to that group using authorization policy.

    ELSIF <condition2>
    set_item_property(button,enable,property<true/false>);

  • Making a "Save As" button on a form

    I need to make a "Save As" button on a form created in Designer 8.0.
    This will go on a form that will be enabled for Reader 8.0, so user can fill in form, save filled form, and submit via e-mail.
    I have tried to figure how to add a regular Button, and add a simple menu functionality like "Save As" but cannot.
    I need step-by-step instructions for this, please... and I do not know much about scripting at all.
    TIA,
    Glenn Cauley

    Have a look in the Help (index Script Editor => about). This should give you more insight into how the Script Editor is used.
    For this example, you'd just need to select your button, make sure the 'click' event is in the 'Show' drop-down, select 'JavaScript' from the 'Language' drop-down and then paste the script into the script editing field.
    Thanks,

  • Hi, I would like to know how can I recover a document from pages that I didn't save anytime and instead of clicking the button save I clicked the delete button at the end. Is there any way to recover it?

    Hi, I would like to know how can I recover a document from pages that I didn't save anytime and instead of saving the doc I clicked the delete button. Is there any way to recover it?

    Regardless of application, the first step that I take is to save and name the current document — even if it has no content yet. With Pages, this good habit enables autosave. As you add content, your document revision history is restorable via the File Revert To menu. The delete key has the same document foreboding as only teaching a pet raven to speak "Nevermore."

  • Two reports's entries to the same form, the DELETE button works unproperly.

    I have two reports refrencing one form in which I have one item whose value is set by the refrencing report. In the form I build two branches back to the two resports by the item's value(conditional branch). when press the SAVE or CREATE button all work properly. But when press DELETE button, it seems the system clears all caches so that the item loses value. Then my two branches don't work. If I change "Javascript:apex.confirm..." to "Javascript:confirmDelete('...');" ,the two branches work, but the validations are always working, even if I change then validation option to "No". Can anyone help me? Thanks.

    I have found the answer.

  • Can I use "Delete button" in intaractive form?

    Hello Expert.
    Please tell me the phenomenon of interactive form in Performance Management(MbO or OSA) .
    I use "off line" solution.
    Now our customer would like to delete button as delete some objectives who does not entry any comment.
    Can I use this delete button in interactive form?
    I cannot find the delete button in this form...
    Best regards,

    You should try the LiveCycle Designer forum, but from my experience with Acrobat forms it's not possible. What you can do is either save the file using the desired file name and path (without user interaction), if the script runs from a trusted context, or you can prompt the user with the desired file-name for the file, but not enforce them to use it, nor populate it into the Save As dialog itself.

  • Tabular form delete button not quite working as it should

    Hello,
    Theres a little problem with the delete button on my tabular form. When I select the rows I want to delete with the checkboxes then click the button, it deletes the checked rows but it ALSO gets rid of all the rows that I haven't yet saved i.e. that I created while I was on that page, the same time I checked the boxes
    If I save the items then go back to the page and select them it works fine, but obviously the end users won't know to do that...
    Is there a way to stop this happening? It happens on all the tabular forms I have in my app...so presumably its a fairly common problem? but I can't find an answer on the interwebs...
    I did think maybe I could run the MRU process before the MRD process when I click the delete button as well as when I click the save button...but I thought I would ask an expert opinion before messing something up. It all works fine other than that...
    Thanks

    Apple will not repair this problem, they will offer replacement iPhone 4S for $199, it will be exact perfect iPhone just like yours same color, GB everything. If you want to try Virtual Lock Button, tap Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new screen white button > tap Device > Lock. This can be used to turn OFF iPhone. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power, ie charger or USB of computer.
