Re Submit in Function Module

Hi,
I am using Function Module for BDC Session and i am calling this Function Module using ABAP Proxy Method, When i am trying to sumbit this Function Module in BAckgorund using SUBMIT rsbdcsub with respective parameters and return. code but the program is processing the Desire result but it is not returing back.
Can i Know is there any way to call back the Function Module Once the Session is processed ?????

Function Module not working as required

Hi,
I am currently using a function module HR_FBN_GENERATE_SEND_EMAIL which sends mail to external sources from a standard SAP screen.
The fm seems to be working fine if its run from within a report program, but isnt executing when is run from within a PAI module.(code same in both).
Could anyone throw some light on a solution to this issue.
Also,this module doesnt seem to allow sending of mails on a specified date. How can i incorporate that or alternatively is there an existing fn module which will send mails out on a specified date with specified content?
Will def shell out loads of points to solutions that help...

Problem with calling a report from a function module. Please help! URGENT!

   I have a scenarion like this:
XI -
> Function Module -
> ABAP Report
From XI I am callingf a function module in another R/3 system. This function module inturn calls a ABAP report using SUBMIT statement. The function module and the report reside in the same R/3 system.
I am calling the report like this:
SUBMIT yseg_save_bp_data WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar
                             AND RETURN.
The problem is when I run the function module directly in the R/3 system then it calls the report without any problem.
On the other hand, when I call the function module from XI then the report is not called. On debug mode I found that the program exits just at the Submit statement. Why is this strange problem?
What mistake am I doing? Is there any limitations or restrictions with SUBMIT statement.
What is the correct way of using submit statement in this scenario?

Hi Rao,
   I have created the FM as remote RFC. Infact XI is able to call the FM. Only problem is when it reaches the point where the report is called via SUBMIT it exits.

Function Module to open a new session displaying a method of a class

Hello All,
I have a method A of class B.
Now, in my current session, I have a button. When the user clicks on this button, what I expect is that a new session be opened and in the new session method A of class B be displayed.
This is similar to the debugger, wherein, in the debugging mode, we can bring up the context menu in the Source Code (Edit Control) tool, and then select "Go To Source Code".
So basically, I am looking for a Function Module which does the same.
I came across Function Module CC_CALL_TRANSACTION_NEW_TASK, however, this will only create a new session.
I could specify the transaction as SE24, but it then opens a new session with this transaction. That is it.
My objective is to display the method of a class in a new session.
Is there any Function Module in this case?

Thank you very much. That was exactly what I was looking for.
However, instead of calling EDITOR_PROGRAM directly, what I instea did was the following:
1) Created a RFC enabled Function module.
2) Inside this function module, I wrote the following code:
SUBMIT tpda_editor_start AND RETURN
   WITH prgm = is_alert_det-program_name
   WITH incl = is_alert_det-include_name
   WITH dynp = space
   WITH line = is_alert_det-line_no.
The parameters above were similar to the one proposed by you.
Borrowed the above from the class CL_TPDA_SERVICES_TOOLS, method NAVIGATE_TO_SOURCE.
The above is basically called in the debugger, when we use the context menu in the editor tool and invoke the "Goto Source Code" functionality. This eventually calls the EDITOR_PROGRAM FM.
The reason why I did this is because when I was testing the FM, it did not allow me to specify the include as CL_TEST=====CM01. I do not know why, probably I was doing it wrong. But it gave me a message saying that the object does not exist in table TADIR.
Anyway, I did the above steps and it worked exactly as I wanted it to.

I have requirement for Function Module i.e. we will add the button to the standard T-code and ( Function added in config ) then
Function to be called from Customizing
Program A called from customizing function
CalculationPDFFunction is called from program A.
So can any one help me the logic for "calling a report from function module ".

Yes. It is possible to call ur custom program using SUBMIT statement.
1. If u have data to pass then build table type RSPARAMS and use below statement.
data:
      rspar_tab TYPE TABLE OF rsparams,
      rspar_line LIKE LINE OF rspar_tab,
SUBMIT report1 WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar_tab
               AND RETURN.
1. If u want to create variant to the program and use that. use the below statement .
SUBMIT report1 USING SELECTION-SET 'VAR1' "variant
               AND RETURN.

How to do ALV Popup in a new Function module

This is the Client Requirement.
" Flow Diagram/Pseudo Code:
Attach a data flow diagram. Write brief pseudo code in plain English. Be sure to include all access data plans.
-     FM interface:
-     Import: company code/ vendor#.
-     Export: default_line, type y4ap_t11
-     Exception: NO_DATA or CANCELED
In the FM code, past current z_venddefault code, except for write statements. After internal table is generated, show it in ALV popup. On ALV, add a OK/Cancel button. On OK, ensure that one line is selected (otherwise throw warning), and then fill export structure with that lines G/L account, cost Center, and internal order# fields. Then close the ALV and end FM. For Cancel, just close the ALV end the FM.
For an example of how to build such popup ALVs, take a look at FM Y4AP_SELECT_APPROVER.
Unit Test Plan:
Just use co.code 3000/vend# 1000 to test this FM."
here i need to do is there is a simple report program by displaying in list.
But now i need to do is , i have to put that code in a new function module and there i need to display it in alv grid.
How to do this can anybody help me.

Which function module to delete job log?

Hi, I submit report via jobname and jobcount. After I close job and run it, we can see jobname is still in job log by SMX. But client doesn't want to see it, so who can kindly tell me which function module can delete jobname from job log?

try CALL FUNCTION 'BP_JOB_DELETE'
If you have used JOB_OPEN before the SUBMIT to create the job, you can automatically delete the job upon successful completion by setting the parameter DELANFREP = 'X' in the JOB_OPEN function call.. this way the user will only see the logas for cancelled/aborted jobs..

Invoking Remote Function Module.

I am invoking a remote function module from a web dynpro application(External Appln ).
The FM contains the following code snippet
first it inserts the parameters passed into a table
and then the code is
SUBMIT <report name > with parameter passing.
when i comment out the Submit statement and invoke the function module the parameters get populated in the table..but when i enable the SUBMIT statement the same set of parameters dont even get populated in the table. and i get the following exception in the logs of SAP J2ee appln server .
WDDynamicRFCExecuteException: Screen output without connection to user. , error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
i am not able to find a solution to this problem .

Function module to Create payment lot name

Hi ,
I have to create a new payment lot from a Z program
(program will run in a batch mode) and this payment lot will be passed to standard bapi : BAPI_CTRACPAYMINC_APPEND to upload the data in payment lot. For creation of payment lot I am using Function modules as FKK_CREATE_NAME_OF_PAYMENT_LOT
or
FKK_PAYMENTLOT_KEY_CREATE
( either of 1 )...but the function modules return me the name of payment lot..but when i cross check it in FP05 it says "lot not yet created" . Please let me know what could be the reason that payment that lot is not getting created. Is there any other FM which we can use. PLease let me know .

We cannot create the Payment lot using FM's FKK_CREATE_NAME_OF_PAYMENT_LOT or
FKK_PAYMENTLOT_KEY_CREATE .These FM's will create only the Payment lot name which can be used to create Payment lot.
IF we want to create Payment lot through Z program we have to create a file and pass data to file with structures
BFKKZGR00(File Header)
BFKKZK(header data)
BFKKZP(Line items).
We have to pass this File and Identification to Report Program--RFKKZE00(Transaction-FPB3).
Submit this report program ---RFKKZE00 in background.

Call WDA from ABAP via function module

Hi WDA experts,
is there any possibility to call a WDA within a ABAP report AND include it in the process.
The best would be to call a WDA via a function module - make some inputs on the WDA side - press submit and the function module gives me the data from the webdynpro back to my application.
I know that I can call a WDA via the function CALL_BROWSER, but in this case the WDA application is fully independent from the report and I am not able to post any data back to the report.
I also know FM WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE, but in this case I need a HTML container to display the WDA and there it seems that I also never get back any data back to the report.
Any hints are appreciated.

Not too hard:
CALL WDA passing in a KEY on start plug.
write the data to a shared memory object using the key passed as the
key to a shared memort object on the submit.
(see blogs on writing Shared maemory objects in ABAP)
Then simply exit APP.
On return read the data from the Shared memory Object.
The shared memory object lives across the 2 sessions.
