Re: Vertical Scroll Bar on the device display

Hello.
we are also facing the following issue. I was able to control the horizontal spacing with SICF parameters
~ITSMOBILEELEMFACTOR = 8
~ITSMOBILEELEMUNIT = px
However, I have tried quite a few different ways of reducing the vertical spacing. Nothing seems to work. The last thing I am trying is to go individually to each of the screens and remove the vertical spaces. Is that the only way out?
I have also developed a custom style (other than  MOBILE4) and tried to play around with the custom class in the method _COMPUTE_EMPTY_SPACE (similar name). However, that also didnt change a lot of things.
Could anyone of you please suggest how to address this?
Any suggestion would  be highly valued.
Thank you.

Hello Anuradha,
Have you tried the ITSMobile parameter ~dynpro_compression ?
See the ITSMobile WIKI:
Service Parameter and Settings - Wiki - SCN Wiki
Other than this - the solution is manually modify the HTML templates in SE80.
Regards,
Oisin
correct parameter is ~dynpro_compression

  • Vertical Scroll Bar on the device display

    Hello,
I had the problem with both horizontal and vertical scroll bars. Managed to get rid of the horizontal scroll bas using the parameters ~itsmobileelemfactor and ~itsmobileelemunits but the vertical scroll bar is still there. As our transactions are developed internally, I managed to sqeeze the screen elements but still the vertical scroll bars are there.
I am testing with Intermec CK3 device with Intermec Browser.
I was going thru this forum and someone has suggested to modify the CSS.
Can someone help me which html parameters are required and under which css class e.g. font size, line-height etc to reduce the overall screen size? I am not good in HTML.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Narottam

    Hi Oisin,
    Parameters in SE80:
    ~GENERATEDYNPRO = 1
    ~ITSMOBILE = 1
    ~SOURCES = ZZITS_IB_LM00,ITSMOBILE01,ITSMOBILE
    ~THEME = 99
    ~TRANSACTION = LM01
    Parameters in SICF:
    ~ITSMOBILE = 1
    ~TRANSACTION = LM01
    ~THEME = 99
    ~SOURCES = ZZITS_IB_LM00, ITSMOBILE01,ITSMOBILE
    ~POPUPS = 1
    ~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE = EWT
    ~ITSMOBILEDEVICEINCLUDE = ZZ_IBROWSE
    ~ITSMOBILEELEMFACTOR = 8
    ~ITSMOBILEELEMUNIT = px
I know you helped me earlier and provided two OSS notes. Those nores are installed.
Again, please let me know what I am missing to get rid of the vertical scroll bar. Strictly we have followed 16X20 screen size which is SAP RF standard.

  • Freeze column headers in a table and enable vertical scroll bar on the rows

I have seen demos of BI Publisher running an html view of a report that displays a table of data with a vertical scroll bar on the table. The table header is always visible as you scroll down on the rows of the table. Any idea how this is achievable?

    Hi,
Have you find a way to do this? Im looking for the exact same thing!

  • Removing the Vertical scroll bar from the content area.

    Hello,
Is there a way to remove the vertical scroll bar from the content area?
I am trying to create a new light portal frame work.
Everything works fine except that I see two vertical scroll bars, one from the content area and another from the page(frame).
    Thanks in advance.
    -Sudheer

    Hi
There are a couple of ways in which to achieve this
    1) Try and make the content flat. What I mean by this is that the content area (when using the standard light framework) doesn't contain an iframe, meaning that the iview defined on the page has "EMBEDDED" isolation mode. This should mean that you only have one scrollbar (if the content extends past the size of the browser)
    2) If you need to make the iview URL isolation, then try and get the domain of the content to be of a similar domain to your portal server, i.e. your portal is portal.company.com and the content is content.company.com. In this way you can make the pages expand.
NOTE: One thing to note is that when using URL isolation iviews doesn't allow the automatic expanding of the iframe content. This is because the standard javascript doesn't allow this. Therefore you may have to write your own javascript function (or content area page) to do this
    I hope this helps

  • Vertical scroll bar for the table

    Hi,
I have a table which will contain more than 100 rows. First Visible rows will be 10.
i want a vertical scroll bar for the table, so that i can see all the rows using vertical scroll bar. While scrolling down, the header row, which contain names of the column should be static (ie visible even scroll down) and the footer of the table should be visible even goes up.
If I use Scroll container, it will take whole table and the header row, row with name of column will move up invisible when i scroll down. So it is not useful if i use scroll contatiner.
I need a fnctionality were table has a vertical scroll bar to it.
    Thanks
    Maha

    Hi,
Your requirement is one of the default properties of the Table UI element in NWDS CE version.

  • How to put vertical Scroll Bar on the LEFT side of a VBox?

The default is on the RIGHT side. It seems no easy solution on this question.

    Hi Darren,
Thanks for your reply. I've narrowed the problem down to this strange behavior only happening when the viewport component is a tree-table (a JTable with a JTree for a column renderer). The tree-table works okay in JDK 1.3, but not in JDK 1.4. When I remove the JTree column renderer, the table draws correctly, but without the tree. It looks like the viewport position is being set wrong somewhere.
When a column is resized, an AdjustmentEvent is created. So that's why resizing the column looked like it had the same effect as the horizontal scroll bar.
If you're interested, then I will be happy to let you know how I fixed it, if I can.
The complete code that creates the scroll pane with the vertical scroll bar on the left is below. There's too much code to post the JTree column renderer.
    Thank you,
    Don
    m_leftScrollPane = new JScrollPane(m_sourceTable,
    JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS,
    JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
    m_leftScrollPane.setComponentOrientation
    (ComponentOrientation.RIGHT_TO_LEFT);

  • Vertical scroll bars remain the older OSX pill type (pre 10.8) in Firefox on OSX 10.9. How can I fix this?

The Firefox installation on my iMac (2009) spans at least 3 operating systems. I recently updated to OS X 10.9 from 10.6.x but the scroll bars in Firefox are not the default OSX 10.9 but the older 10.6 ones. There are 4 other users on this computer and their scroll bars are the correct ones. Resetting my profile and full re-install has not corrected this problem. I have used Firefox since OSX 10.2 and transferred my profile from an older Mac to this iMac some time ago. This is probably some bit of code or style or something from some theme that was installed under 10.6 or earlier that needs to be removed. I have not tried the nuclear option of completely deleting my profile and hunting down every preference related to Firefox or Mozilla in my account. This is not so much a problem as an irritation.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no go. Some bit of an old Mozilla/Firefox theme or some other 3rd party OSX utility is stuck somewhere. Like I said, more an irritation than a problem, doesn't effect the performance of the browser--its just weird.

  • How to fix double vertical scroll bar in responsive output

After implementing the solution provided for the question 'Responsive HTML5 Output: How to auto adjust the screen resolution for all devices?', the function bar in output does not appear and also another vertical scroll bar in the output. I edited the max-width value in the layoutfix.min.css file and fixed the function bar issue. How can I do away with the additional vertical scroll bar?

    I've looked into the issue.
@Delennish: In your case, the size of the iframe is too large, or you have an extra empty element below the iframe. You can try 2 things:
    1. Best solution but may have side effects: In the main.css, add the following code:
    div.contentholder { overflow: hidden !important;}
For this option, please check for undesired side effects.
    2. Works, but is ugly: In the main.css, add the following code:
    div.floatholder iframe.wTopic { height: 95% !important;}
Try playing with the height setting until the 2nd scrollbar disappears.
@CarolW: The layout you're using is very old. I've made a new responsive layout with TOC only. Please use that one instead: http://www.wvanweelden.eu/sites/default/files/attachments/Theme1_Standard_TOC_Only.zip (I'll update my site with this new version later.)

  • Active X web browser vertical scroll bar

Does anyone know how I can hide the vertical scroll bar on the right of the
    Active X Web Browser?
    Bill

    Bill,
The bar appears as soon as the contents don't fit the container anymore.
If your displaying a html file of your own, make the body tag like this:
    This will remove the scrollbar.
I'm not sore if it is possible to remove the scrollbar in the container for
every page you load. The scrollbar is a property of the page, not of the
    container!
If you need it for any document, take a look at the Document property.
Convert it to a MSHTML.DispHTMLDocument, and use the ExecCommand method.
This might be a way to hide the scrollbar (but I cannot garantee it). Close
    the ref!
    Regards,
    Wiebe.

  • Component on page not moving as vertical scroll bar is moved

    All -
I have a mxml page that is a mx:Application.  This page basically consists of a VBox
and a number of components included within that VBox.  All but 1 of the components
within this VBox are built-in flex components.  The one component that is not a built-in
flex component is the one that is causing me issues.  The issue is happening when I run
the application, once running the vertical scroll bar appears on the right-hand side of the
page (as expected because I have quite a few items in my VBox).  The problem is that as
I drag the vertical scroll bar from the top of the page to the bottom of the page, the custom
component within my VBox that I built is staying put (it's not moving with respect of the
movement of the vertical scroll bar).  All of the built-in flex components that are within my
VBox are moving with respect of the movemnet of the vertical scroll bar as expected.
I appreciate any information that you can provide that will lead me in the right direction,
    Thank you,
    Wes

  • How to Enable to vertical scroll bar in a table control

    Hi,
I have created a table control with a wizard and later did some modifications on it. Problem I have now is that the vertical scroll bar is disabled on this table control. The end user wants to enter as many rows as possible, however as the scroll bar is disabled, he is not able to add the rows at the end (of the visible table control area).
How do I enable the vertical scroll bar of the table control?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Vishal.

    Hello Vishal,
    In PBO.
Create a Module and in the module increment the value of tbcl-lines.
    ex:
    Data : L type i.
    IN PBO.
    MODULE vertical_scroll_bar.
    MODULE vertical_scroll_bar.
    DESCRIBE TABLE itab lines L.
    <table control name>-lines = L + 10.
    ENDMODULE.
    Hope this solves your issue.
    Cheers,

  • Help with a vertical scroll bar issue with a List component

hi. i have a basic <s:list> that uses an XMLListCollection as it's data provider and a very basic itemrenderer. when a row in the list is clicked a function gets the list.selectedIndex then populates some text fields with more xml data. that all works fine.. the problem i have is that the vertical scroll bar on the list seems to be "clickable" - just like a row in the list. the scroll bar scrolls normally but when it's clicked the selectedIndex becomes -1 which is not helpful b/c the value -1 is passed to the XMLListCollection.
    any ideas? cheers.

thanks but still problematic...surely the <s:List> component shouldn't return a value when the scrollbar thumb is clicked? i created a very basic list (see below) and made the list dimensions short enough so that there is a vertical scrollbar and found that when the scrollbar thumb is clicked the trace(event.currentTarget.selectedIndex) returns a number. that's annoying b/c i just want a selectedIndex value for a row that is clicked not the scrollbar.
any ideas to get around? cheers

  • No vertical scroll bar using Safari or Firfox

I created my own website using Dreamweaver CS3 and it looks great using IE. I just viewed it in Safari and Firefox and noticed there is no vertical scroll bar on the right so people can not see the bottom half of my pages. I have researched this online and nothing seems to be working. Any ideas will help. My website is www.binglevet.com if that helps anyone view the source code. Thank you. Caroline

You are awesome! I actually did run that report and there was this message; however, I didn't realize it was the main cause for many to be unable to view my site when using Firefox or Safari. I deleted the line and it now scrolls in both browsers. Thank you for the help.
