Read Counter/Position Line or Volume Counter

I have the iPod Nano 4 GB.
Serial # YM538AJCTK3
It used to show the read counter or position line that shows at which point on the song/podcast I'm on; or the.
Now, it's not showing it. Instead it's showing 5 small circles that doesn't indicate the position of the song/podcast nor the volume counter.
I can't seem to change this setting back.
Please help.

Sometimes, if you don't allow the screen to refresh before pressing another button, it gets stuck.
See this for help.
iPod "stuck" on the artwork or rating screen.
As you will see, updating the software can cure this.

  • Custom code - count of lines

    Hi,
    How can I obtain the count of lines of code in all the custom objects such as z programs, z functions, z methods, user exits etc?
    THank you,
    Mike

    check fm RPY_FUNCTIONMODULE_READ
    Check how it reads the source code and returns it.
    Use a describe statement to the return table
    or try this syntax
    itab must hold a field of char72.
    READ REPORT 'Y123'  INTO ITAB.
    lines_r = lines( itab ).
    also check in se37 for rpy*
    Also check the f1 for read report, there are many other options

  • Line item Assignments counter

    Hi
    How can i achieve the count of Line item assignments
    I had a DSO with Sales Order & Line Item No which is connected to a Cube
    In my report on cube my requirement is to display  count of Line item Assignment.
    (A line item can be assigned to no of Sales orders)
    I think i can't achieve this at report level,Because a counter can be based on single reference char in report
    My requ is to count no of line item assignments no the total no of line items
    But If i include a KG (Count) in DSO....Count...overwrite....constant 1
    What happens when a delta for the exisisting sale Order Line item enter to DSO...

  • Getting "Fatal Alert PUtils.h, Line 74, Invalid counter...

    I have not clue what is going on. I have a Palm m515. I tried to contact the support over the phone but their accent is a lot worse than mine; I could not understand anything.
    I have backed up the information, done a hard reset and still getting those messages.
    I was planning to get another device, I would like to get the Palm Treo Pro, but I am very disappointed w/ the customer support that Palm has; probably the worse I ever seen.
    I would very much appreciate any information you can give me about this. I heard there is a software that repairs corrupted files, or something like that. Let me know please.  I really need my PDA!!
    Thanks
    Post relates to: Palm m515

    I spent several hours today working on this deal. I did a hard reset. No problems.
    Then I went to the address that you indicated. No back up folder.
    I realized that the Palm folder stands alone as part of the "Presario" in the C: drive. After opening "Palm" several files opened:
    PqiTemp, Add-on, components, helpnote, image Library, "Juan", etc., addcn30.dl, AlarmApp,e..., etc., Currency,ini....
    There is one called "BAKCN20.DLL".. The last one on that group es zlib.dll
    I opened each one, and in the "Juan" there are several others: address, archive, Backup, datebook, expense, install, mail, memopad, etc.
    I opened the Backup, and has large number of files: Archimedes, Emer drugs, mathlib.prc, Med alert, etc.
    Is this the one I have to rename? I want to make sure because there is another one in this group called "BackupBuddyVFS.PRC" I believed this is the one I bought following the recommendation of the company that produces one of the applications to back up all the files when I did the hard reset; so I would not lose any information...
    I freaked out when I saw my empty Palm, so, I went to my external drive "E Book" that I bought also following recommendations of another software manufacturer and did not have problems in recovering the whole thing again, including the
    ocassional "Fatal Alert PUtils., Line 74, invalid counter"... but at least I have all my bank accounts, and private information back on the PDA.
    My questions are: Once I change the name of the back up folder to "backup.old". When I do a sync it will not recognize it any more?
    I start downloading again all my programs one by one...the minute I get the Fatal Alert...that's it?
    Can I delete the file that produced it, and the problem will be solved?
    Worse case scenario? Do I have to get another PDA?
    If I get a Palm Treo Pro, and I start loading my applications, how do I know I am not going to have the same problem? What do  I do next?
    I hope the questions are not to stupid but computers are not my thing.  I really appreciate your help though!
    Juan

  • HT1420 I use two MacBook pro, two iPads and two iPhones. Upon connection and attempt to synchronize photos I receive a message that my authorization limit is exceeded. I read that iOS devices do not count against the authorization limit.

    I use two MacBook pro, two iPads and two iPhones. Upon connection and attempt to synchronize photos I receive a message that my authorization limit is exceeded. I read that iOS devices do not count against the authorization limit. One iPhone and one iPad show in the authorization list. iTunes wants to delete my purchased programs and books from the iPad to continue synchronization. What can I do?

    Ok, now I do wish I could edit....
    I forgot to APPLY the network settings for the USB cable to work. Connected thru USB I can tether.
    So, I kept playing, and playing some more...
    I had previously unpaired everything, and gone as far as removing network devices HOWEVER...
    I didn't remove the Ethernet, Firewire or Airport Network devices.
    Now, I have done so. I REMOVED EVERYTHING
    No pairing, no network devices.
    Bluetooth was already turned off, and I rebooted.
    I turned off tethering and rebooted the iphone.
    I turned on bluetooth (on the MBP), I turned on tethering. I browsed for the iphone. It said I was already paired???? Ok, repair AGAIN, and THE IPHONE SHOWED MY BLUETOOTH TETHERING BLUE BAR at the top of the screen!
    I opened a web page, no go... d4mn, I was close...
    Opened network preferences and the created a new bluetooth PAN and voila! Internet back on the MBP. I am about to reinstall the ethernet and airport (I can live without firewire for now) and see what happens.
    Basically, the link I posted two posts ago, I had already done that, but I NEEDED to remove ethernet, firewire and airport as well...
    So MAYBE it's fixed, we'll see for how long. I'm not going to mark this as answered for now, because basically, it has failed for no reason, and I want to know why...
    Hopefully someone can come up with something, but having to delete and reinstall all pairings and network devices (to me) is not really a solution, it's a workaround (at best).

  • Reading a Random Line from a Text File

    Hello,
    I have a program that reads from a text file words. I currently have a text file around 800KB of words. The problem is, if I try to load this into an arraylist so I can use it in my application, it takes wayy long to load. I thought that maybe serializing the ArrayList might be faster than creating the ArrayList by iterating over each line in the text file. But alas, I was wrong. Here's my code anyway:
    class WordList extends ArrayList<String>{
      long updated;
    WordList readWordList(File file) throws Exception{
      WordList list = new WordList();
      BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
      String line = null;
      while ((line = in.readLine()) != null){
        list.add(line);
      in.close();
      list.updated = file.lastModified();
      return list;
    WordList wordList;
    File datFile = new File("words.dat");
    File txtFile = new File("input.txt");
    if (datFile.exists()){
      ObjectInputStream input = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(datFile));
      wordList = (WordList)input.readObject();
      if (wordList.updated < txtFile.lastModified()){
        //if the text file has been updated, re-read it
        wordList = readWordList(txtFile);
        ObjectOutputStream output = new ObjectOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(datFile));
        output.writeObject(wordList);
        output.close();
    } else {
      //serialized list does not exist--create it
      wordList = readWordList(txtFile);
      ObjectOutputStream output = new ObjectOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(datFile));
      output.writeObject(wordList);
      output.close();
    }The text file contained one random sequence of letters per line. For example:
    hwnuu
    nhpgaucah
    zfbylzt
    hwnc
    gicgwkhStats:
    Text file size: 892K
    Serialized file size: 1.1MB
    Time to read from text file: 795ms
    Time to read from serialized file: 1216ms

  • How can I read only a line of text from a file, line by line using Scanner?

    Here's the code I currently have for a program that finds a keyword from numerous files and prints every line in every file that has that keyword. The keyword is indicated by the first parameter in a command line and the files are every parameter after that. Right now, with the code I have, the program will not print multiple lines of each file if they contain the keyword. I am trying to solve this problem by figuring out a way to have a loop continue until an \n EOL character is found. I am not sure how to do this though. Here's the portion of code that I would like to change to do this. I need to add a condition somewhere after in.hasNext() I think to stop when it it hits a /n.:
    while (in.hasNext()) {
                        count++;
                        String nextWord = in.next();
                        lineOfText.add(nextWord);
                        if (nextWord.equals(keyword)) {
                            flag = true;
    import java.util.Scanner;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    public class Find {
        static ArrayList<String> lineOfText = new ArrayList<String>();
        static boolean flag = false;
        public static void main(String args[]) {
                   run(args);
        public static void run(String args[]) {
            try {
                PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter("output.txt");
                String keyword = args[0];
                for (int i = 1; i < args.length; i++) {
                    Scanner in = new Scanner(new FileInputStream(args));
    int count = 0;
    while (in.hasNext()) {
    count++;
    String nextWord = in.next();
    lineOfText.add(nextWord);
    if (nextWord.equals(keyword)) {
    flag = true;
    if (flag == true) {
    System.out.print(args[i] + ": " );
    out.print(args[i] + ": " );
    for (String s : lineOfText) {
    System.out.print(s + " ");
    out.print(s + " ");
    System.out.print("\n");
    out.println(" ");
    lineOfText.clear();
    out.close();
    catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
    System.out.println("file not found!");
    catch (IOException e) {
    System.out.println(e);
    Thanks

    Well, I thought I had this program finished, then I realized I need to match the keyword anywhere in the file(including within a word) and print out each line that "contains" the keyword in each file. So, I need some way of testing to see if the keyword is a part of each word and then flag the line that contains the keyword. Is there some method to do this? Thanks
    Here's the code I have now:
    import java.util.Scanner;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    public class Find {
        static String line = "";
        static boolean flag = false;
        static boolean flag2 = false;
        public static void main(String args[]) {

  • How to only read the last line in the text file by using BufferedReader ?

    Dear all,
    Hello, I am new to Java. Do anybody know how to read the last line (this is the last record) in the text file.The method I am now using is reading from the first line until I reach the last line in the text file. Thank you!!
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("c:\\sdk1.4.1\\bin\\dbExport.txt"));
    DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(new FileInputStream("c:\\sdk1.4.1\\bin\\dbExport.txt"));
    String input;
    String firstinput;
    String secondinput;
    int count=90;
    int year=1955;
    while ((input = br.readLine()) != null) {
    firstinput = input.substring(0, 10);
    secondinput = input.substring(10);
    String insertStore1 = ("INSERT INTO AUTHORS " +
    "VALUES ('" + count + "', '" + firstinput + "', '" + secondinput + "', 1955)");
    System.out.println(insertStore1);
    int result = stmt.executeUpdate(insertStore1);

    I suppose you could use a java.io.RandomAccessFile.

  • Line drawings distorted by Adobe Reader's Thin Line Enhancement feature

    I am working with InDesign CS6 on an engineering textbook with approximately 1300 line drawings.  When a pdf exported from InDesign is viewed in Adobe Reader XI, the line widths of the drawings are distorted by Reader's Thin Line Enhancement feature.  The default setting for Thin Line Enhancement in Reader is on.  I understand that Reader's user features cannot be controlled by a document.  Is there anything I can do in InDesign to would reduce the effect of Reader's Thin Line Enhancement on the image quality?
    (Ironically, the art work drawn in Illustrator in a pdf and exported from InDesign looks fine in Google Chrome, but wretched in Adobe Reader!)

    Thank you for your response.  The textbook is to be printed and presented as an ebook. The print version is not a problem nor is the ebook version when viewed in a pdf viewer other than Adobe Reader, or in Adobe Reader in the non-default state with the Thin Line Enhancement feature disabled.
    I  attempted to resolve the Adobe Reader Thin Line Enhancement problem by increasing line widths and ensuring that interrupted lines segments were aligned.  Sadly, the overall size of the illustrations limits the the maximum width of the thinnest lines and Thin Line Enhancement problem persisted.
    The reason I ask if there is anything which can be done within InDesign to counter the distortion of Reader's Thin Line Enhancement is the following observation.  An MS Word document with the same illustrations embedded as png graphics and saved as a pdf does not suffer the Thin Line Enhancement distortion when viewed in Adobe Reader.  I am hoping that whatever is done when MS Word saves a document as a pdf can be replicated when InDesign exports a pdf.  Unfortunately, I am constrained by my publisher to link rather than embed the graphics.  I have experimented linking eps, Illustrator, and pdf graphics files but they pdfs exported from InDesign were distorted when viewed in the default configuration of Adobe Reader.
    I must disagree with your assertion that the only correct way to view the pdf is in Adobe Reader.  Adobe Reader distorts the images unless the user has disabled the Thin Line Enhancement.  I believe that I am a typical user of Adobe Reader in that I was unaware that the feature existed until recently.  I mistakenly presumed that what may have been distorted graphics were simply poor quality graphics.  Given my choice, I would hope that none of the future readers of the text use Adobe Reader, but, unfortunately, I know that many will.  That is why I am attempting to resolve this problem.

  • What function is used to read Angular Position form a Task?

    I have created a DAQmx task in MAX. This task configures a counter on a PCI-6259 to take the A and B counts from an encoder and give the Angular Position. What function do I use to read the value since I am no longer reading counts I am reading the position?
    Thank you in advance for any advice!

    Hi Izzy,
    I have Created the task in MAX. The task takes input into the counter from an encoder and converts it to angular position. Do I still use the DAQmxReadCounterF64 function to read the counter? I am guessing that I do and that the function returns the angular position rather than the raw counts. Not sure though.
    Thanks for taking the time to respond.
