Read SSH (Unix) dynamic file through Java code

Hi,
I am trying to create a java code which should read the dynamically changing content in the unix(SSH) system.
Could you please tell me which is the best way to create the above requirement.

Run chm help file through java code

hello,
would you tell me how can i run a help.chm file using java code. i am trign this but no luck.
first try
Process pp=run.exec("C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/IEXPLORE.exe ./res/bobftphelp.chm" );
Second try
Process pp=run.exec(" ./res/bobftphelp.chm" );
It run fine a help.doc file but not help.chm file.

The second address given to that function, does it relate to the class that its being called from? cause i've got
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:\\WINDOWS\\hh.exe .\\HelpFile_9_3.chm" );where HelpFile_9_3 is in the same folder as my class, but it won't work. Can anyone help?
Also, can you search within a chm file from Java? If I get that above code working, I presume it'll open the help file to the main page. I'd like to search within that document for a word or phrase - possible?

Using XMLbeans you can generate Java objects from an XSD schema (perhaps DTDs aswell)
Then you can create an instance of the Document object and ask it to write itself.
This will create an XML document complient to the schema.
XMLBeans generates a "type" safe DOM where you can only ever have a structure compilent to you schema.

Please try replacing this line

with this line
java.text.SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("ddMMyyyy");

How Server can read client side SSL certificates through java code?

My code will be running on server which will be a java class that should read any SSL certificates for the user that is logging in to the application.
Kindly let me know how it can be achieved ? I have very rare knowldge on Security. how i can read SSL certificates of the client machine.
Also let me know the possible solutions for above question.

For my mud written in java, I used TCP/IP for the connections. When a client connects, he gets his own thread. Those threads are held in a vector in a manager class. each tick of the server does a quick run thru the vector and if the current thread/socket its on is null or !isAlive() its remove from the vector(which in turn removes it from getting any more game updates. This removal can be caused by two things. The clients disconnects by accident(kills his game, locks up has an internet connection hiccup, etc.) or he uses the games "quit" method. The quit method calls a method that does any player saving of data, etc then closes the socket, and sets it to null. thus the manager sees this and removes him frm the vecotr list on the next server tick. Seems to work great form a mud and worked really well in a multiplayer applet game I had up for a while.

Problem with reading text from .DOC files through java and POI

I have used a jar file "poi-scratchpad-3.2-FINAL-20081019.jar" and "poi-3.2-FINAL.jar" to read text from a .DOC file. I used the "getParagraphText()" function of the class "org.apache.poi.hwpf.extractor.WordExtractor" to get the text.
I am able to get the text in the .DOC file but along with that i am getting the following messages/warnings

Below the above messages/warnings the data is getting printed. Only the text part of the data is retrieved not the fonts, styles and bullets etc.
Can anyone explain me why I am getting above warnings and how can I remove them. Is it possible to fetch the text depending on delimiters.

The jar files which were used are downloaded from http://jarfinder.com. Those jars created the problem of displaying those messages on console. I downloaded APIs from apache.org and used them in my application. Now my application is running good.

Ah, sorry, strike that. You want multiple files. I think the easiest way is to simply parse with DOM. [http://www.w3schools.com/xpath/default.asp] . And here [http://www.w3schools.com/xpath/default.asp].
You can output the various XML elements using a PrintWriter or creating a separate DOM document for each file you want to create and serializing that.

The first part of the application is to connect our application to the existing HTML form.
This module would make a connection with the HTML page. The HTML page contains the coding for the Form with various elements. The form may be a simple form with one or two fields or a complex one like the form for registering for a new Bank Account or new email account.
The module will first connect through the HTML page and will fetch the HTML code into a Text File so that the code can be further processed.

There are 2 options for things like this:
1) Use Runtime.exec() to execute some command or application and parse the input from it.
2) Write some native code and use JNI to call it.

Is there a way to get a file from a jar (for ex. a properties file) make changes to it on the fly and write the same file back to the jar through a Java program?

now in ur case u write content of each file in some other file modify it there and then create a jar file from those files using jaroutput stream .....
this may not be all clear ..but what to do..bit busy...u are welcomed to make changes in above stratergy....n queries if any after using above stratergy and/or your great brain...

Yes, it's possible. If you have a JAR executable, you've just to call the main method of its starter class. For a simple executable class, just call its main method.
