Read XML function - can't get it to work correctly to set metadata

I've been working with the Read XML function in order to set metadata on assets with no avail. I'm using the following simple XML file in a Watcher folder with a poll watcher setup every 5 seconds, that then references a Read XML Response named "Update Asset Metadata" - to read the XML file and update the asset metadata. Nothing really happens even though the FCS Log file shows that the process is taking place to "update" the asset metadata. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I got the answer. You must type “*.xml” (that is, asterisk-dot-xml) in the Value field of Wildcard Include Filter for it to work correctly.

I'm working on a new dwh solution where the main source of data will come from XML-files. The problem is that we are having difficulties with the use of abstract types in the xsd-file.
We currently use ODI to read the XML-files and to store the data in our database, but all fields from the XML-files are not visible in the target tables.
The problem can be simplified like this example:
We have a main element, testElement, which can contain one or more publications.
Publication is of type PublicationType, and PublicationType is an abstract that contains title, author and date.
We have four other types which extends PublicationType; BookType, MagazineType, NewspaperType and AdsType. They all contain additional fields.

Can anybody tell me if this should work (and why it doesn`t)? Or if the XSD/XML looks wrong in some way?
Is this a known limitation in Oracle or ODI etc.?

From what I found in the document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/integrate.1111/e12644.pdf (section B.7.2.6), ODI does not support abstract=true for complextypes. The driver simply ignore them.
We made a new xsd without these tags and were able to generate the required tables.
I am a bit surprised that ODI don't support these abstract-tags.

How can I get Pogo to work correctly on my Mac

I have been a Pogo Club member for some time and suddenly I can no longer vew any of the mini's in the game rooms. Has anyone else encountered this problem. I have a iMac OS X version 10.7.3 with an intel core i7 processor. Everything was fine until a week ago, now my mini is an unclothed lower half figure. The PC friends I play with see my normal mini. I can't see theirs correctly either. I could not find an answer in Pogo help and it only seems to be affecting the Macs. I appreciate any help I can get concerning this issue

In FaceTime -> Preferences you set the account - just change it - I have more than one account on my FaceTime and just change it in FaceTime when I need to.

Can't get anything to work with printer set up

I just purchased the Airport Extreme earlier this week and I am trying to set up my HP Deskjet 3930. Unfortunatley, I am really confused. I currently have the printer connected to my PC, which runs on Windows XP, through the USB port. I also have a MacBook, which I also just purchased last week.
When I hook it up the printer up to Airport Extreme, nothing happens. Bonjour is downloaded on my PC, but how do you manually start it up if nothing appears when you plug your printed into the Airport Extreme?
Also, there is no Printer Setup Utility option on the MacBook. None of the insturctions that I followed in the handbook have helped. Any suggestions?

This means this printer does not support USB network printing.
Further checking shows this printer uses (Lightweight Imaging Device Interface) LIDIL for printing. A few years back, HP, in order to save cost, produced a number of printers without any CPU inside, all the controls are host-based, and require a direct USB connection to the computer.
The only way to network this printer is to connect to an OS like WIndows or OS X and use the printer sharing function from the OS.

Numbers '09 has a Reorganize panel and the top section of that panel is for sorting. Numbers 3 also has the ability to sort and it works. However, Numbers '09 and Numbers 3 sort differently.
In Numbers '09, if you had a formula such as =Table 1::A1 and if a sort of Table 1 moved cell A1 to A20, the formula would change to =Table 1::A20. In Numbers 3, the formula would stay =Table1::A1.

You have to look at the email protocol being used. the Apple email system uses IMAP, does Tinyworld use IMAP or POP?
Does the email system permit delivery receipts to be requested?
Just some of the things one needs to determine from the information provided by the email service provider.

The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.

In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.
Set it also to notify you of the changes, so you will have to approve any changes.

Can't get EM to work on Oracle 10.2.0.5 running on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit

Could anyone help me?
I have tried many things and tried lots of htings other forums have suggested but I can't get EM to work.
The dbconsole windows services hang on startup, if I do a emctl start dbconsole after setting my sid it returns 3 lines of ......., hangs and then gives an error of 1.
I have dropped and re-created the repository, I can now login to EM on the correct HTTP port listed in my portlist.ini. But its as though it can't see the instance, it shows a status of pending and a java error of java.lang.Exception: Exception in sending Request :: null at the database homepage.
The log file for EMCA shows the same error to do with not finding files i the OCJJ directory, but I can browse and see all the files through Windows. Coudl this be some java issue? I have the latest versio of Java installed and have tried reinstalling EM using the OUI.
The error that appears in the log file is listed below, its the same error repeated but referrs to differan't files in the same DIR.

I updated my OS from 10.6.4., to 10.8.2 I want to buy iDVD and I Movie, but bought iPhoto and can't get it to work yet. Hesistant to buy the others without now having the original applications on my laptop. Do I need to buy the older versions first?

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Help!! Can't get BeforeReport to work

I am in desperate need of help - I have tried opening an SR and I was told using parameters was a customization and I needed to hire a consultant. I also tried to email my instructor from my XML Publisher class but she told me to check the user's guide....which I have done and to no avail. In fact, I have copied exactly based on the sample data template from the users guide to what I have and I still get an "Invalid Relational Operator".
I have to get this report published but can't get it to work - I will be happy to email or post my template and package body but need anyone's help who is willing to give it. I am sorry to sound so desperate but I am!!!

Datalist with scrollbar, can't get it to work

Hi all there,
I've tried this over and over, but i can't get this to work;
I have selected an picture (thumbnail) AND selected a vertical scrollbar (with shift click) The scrollbar is from catalyst itslef, so not a custom made 1.
I then (with again both selected) convert these to data list.
When done, i select within the data list the thumbnail and set this towards the Repeated item.
I now have (by default) 5 thumbnails. I add some more to my likings.
And now i'm blanc.
When previeuwing this in my browser i can see the thumnails, including the hover state, i can see the image of the scrollbar but... the scrollbar does not work.
I cant even click the butto on it. It looks just like a picture without any functionality.
I've consulted the web, read Classroom in a Book over and over again, but whatever i do, even within the tutorials comming with the Classroom book, i can't get this to work.
Help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I'm simply stuck.

A 1 overnight sleep did the trick for me.
I redid all the work after some testing. It works now as intended. Can't recall where i did it wrong the first place.

Can't get Export to work

I'm relatively new to Fireworks. I created a small image map, but when I try to export the image and html to Dreamweaver, I get a message a message saying "Could not complete your request - The file was not found." I've tried Export, Export Wizard, rebooting, and a bunch of other stuff - but still can't get it to work. I'm using the Trial version (but it's the same as the regular version, right?) on a Mac running SnowLeopard.
Other than this, and an issue with the Text function that I posted about in a different thread, I like Fireworks a lot and was planning to buy it - so I hope there's a way to get Export to work with images/html so it won't be a showstopper. I'm assuming I must be doing something wrong.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to upload the file to you. Everything I try gives the "file not found" message (but the file is right there on my screen, in front of me as I'm getting this message), so I don't know how to get it to you. The only way that I've found to get the file "out" of Fireworks is to save it as a .jpg file (which of course eliminates the "hotspots" and associated html), and then open it in Mac's Preview utility and also in Dreamweaver. I could send you the .jpg file if you'd like, but since it no longer contains the hotspots and there's no html, I'm not sure that's too useful.
I tried adding the clickable hotspots back in with Dreamweaver, and that worked and also produced usable html.
I noted in a separate forum message that the Text function has also stopped working for me, although it was fine initially. However, I can no longer add text, and when I try to edit existing text, the existing text disappears from my image.
Has my copy of Fireworks somehow become corrupted? Should I reinstall? Other than these issues, I like the product a lot and would like to be able to use it.
