Reading files from ZIP in memory

Hi,
I need to extract some files from a ZIP archive which will be in memory, accessed with an InputStream (ByteArray).
As ZIP files are likely to be large, I'd like to have some sort of "random access" in the way java.util.ZipFile does, allowing me to access any file directly without having to iterate through all the entries. Unfortunately, ZipFiles can only be constructed from physical Files, but mines will always be in memory, and I can't dump them to disk.
So I think ZipInputStream is the only way to go here, but it imposes me a sequential access to the entries. Maybe I could fully read the file for the first time and save zip entries' offsets in a hash table, but I find it difficult to later seek the ZipInputStream to extract the entries with its offsets and it seems going back (or resetting) is not possible in this kind of streams.

Maybe looping until reaching the n-th entry, supposed to be the requested one, and not thinking in terms of bytes?That's what I was suggesting. Either remember the n during step 1 or (even simpler) call getNextEntry() until you get the entry with the desired name.

Implement what goes easy then test if the performance is a problem. That is expected, see the documentation for more information:
App capability declarations at Documents section, you need declared at least a file type association.
Furthermore You can't use the Documents library in a Windows Phone Store app.

Your app can't access the Documents library in the phone's internal storage. If another app creates a Documents folder on the optional SD card, however, your app can see that folder.

Reading files from Sony DVD810

The Sony DVD810 is a hybrid that records on DVDs, memory sticks and internal memory. I'm trying to download a file from the internal memory, and when I do, I get a file folder with three files inside: AVIN0001.BNP, AVIN0001.INP & AVINOOO1.INT. I don't know what to do with these files, and Sony tech support hasn't been any help so far. Can anybody help me with this? I'd like to get this video into a form where I can edit it. Sorry, but your camera is incompatible with iMovie 6, which only accepts DV streams from tape via firewire.
If it records on DVD it records in the mpeg2 format, which is the standard final delivery format of a DVD and not intended for further editing.
You can import the mpeg2 file to your desktop, then:

Shooting photo's in RAW format crates pretty big files that will fill up the iPad's memory pretty fast if you shoot a lot during a (let's say) month long trip.
my idea was to use load the photo's to the iPad so i could view them and sort out any bad ones. then copy them over to the storage device so i can continue using my CF cards for shooting. I have an image thank for copying the photo's directly to the HDD but it would be so sweet to be able to check them on the iPad before hand.
any suggestions?

Reading Files from an FTP location based on Timestamp

My requirement is to List the files in the folder using FTP adapter and get the file name with the least file stamp from the FTP adapter and pass the FileName dynamically to another FTP adapter which reads the file based on the FileName. Reading file from an external folder.

Iam tring to read an external file from the C:\ drive. Given below is the code.
DATA LV_XLS(100) TYPE C.
DATA LV_CONTENT TYPE XSTRING.
LV_XLS = 'C:\XML\Report.xls'
READ DATASET LV_XLS INTO LV_CONTENT.
But when i execute iam getting an error - FILE NOT FOUND. How do i read file from an external folder. My requirement is to strictly read from an external folder. Please help.
If this is not possible please advice as to how the file could be moved to the SAP root directory. Iam not able to locate the root.

After I import a movie file from the camera memory card, Imovie 10.0.1 acts as if the memory card is empty though I know it isn't.... I can't import that file to iMovie again.. is that the way it worksnow? Thank you, Filippo

I would like to know this too. I imported a lot of files, then Imovie crashed. I went back in and they are not in imovie at all.
I reconnected the camcorder to import again and though they are still on the camcorder, I no longer see them in the available list of files to import. I'm sure there is some sort of simple setting somewhere that reveals all files even if it thinks they are imported.

Trying to read files from a dir on my site using a JSP and bean. I've tried nearly every option for the filepath I can think of and it doesn't seem to be finding the file...
Here's the bit:

It's working locally, but I obviously had to change the path from c://... to the above.

The method removes the .jpg from the file name and then writes the new file name to a database

Hi,
Yes it is possible to read data from a non SAP server through the statement OPEN DATASET.
The important thing to check is that the SAP Server got enough access to the non SAP server so it can perform a reading/writing process depending on your needs.
You should contact your network administrator and BASIS to help you check the permissions. This can be pretty tricky, specially if the servers are in different domains.

Can the aTV read files from an iTunes library on my nas drive without my computer being on

I have my itunes library on a My Book Live nas drive that contains all of my digital movies and TV shows. I want to be able to watch my movies from the library without a computer running. I understand that Apple has chosen to chain you to the computer and your itunes account through Home Sharing but I can not see why they couldn't allow you to access a nas drive without a computer running because your aTV is tied to your itunes account also so why do they force you to run a computer 24/7 365 in order to access the files you have bought and paid for.
I have a love/hate for Apple because I love the quality of the products they make but I hate how they make all of the digital files you purchase only accessible through a computer running Home Sharing even though the files are not stored on the computer.
I have tried several things to get this to work without a computer but no luck. The only way I have found to be able to do this is to Jailbreak your aTV and install 3rd party software (which I don't want to do) that will allow you to by pass the computer and Home Sharing (which is dumber than ****) because that is all I want to do is eliminate the need of a computer running wasting electricity (I thought Apple was supposed to be an enviro friendly company, guess not). I am not trying to steal or give someone else my purchased movies and using the aTV and an internet connection they could still be able to tie your media to your itunes account so I just don't get there thinking, or lack of thinking I should say.
Is their a way to do this without Jailbreaking or modifying your aTV?
If not is Apple ever going to wake up and allow there customers to actually USE the media they purchase from them without Home Sharing and a computer running?

it seems obvious, user EWMTRACKTEST doesn`t have access to directory /tmp and the file under that.
try to give read permission and try again.
you could use command line like 'chmod' to grant permissions.

Plug in the memory stick and it should open then create a New Folder and drag and drop the contents from the memory stick to the new folder you created. Remove the original memory stick all the information should be in the new folder you created. Now plug in the new memory stick with nothing on it when it opens drag the folder with the contents from the original memory stick folder and all into the new memory stick that opened and there you have it.

Presently I have to write a program which reads files from the application server dynamically. This program will be scheduled in the background with the frequency of half an hour.
