How to find a program, which is using "Z" variant

Hi All,
I know only on custom devloped variant name, say "ZTEST". I do not know, which program is using it. Entry is there in TVARV table.
Please let me know, how can I find the program, which is using that variant.

Hi Chetan,
The variants for a report will be stored in the table <b>VARI</b>.
Give your variant name to the field VARI-VARIANT and it will give the report name in the field VARI-REPORT.
If you have same variant for the other reports, then it will shows the list of reports which the same variant name.
I am working on ECC 5.0 and able to see this table.

hi Raj,
you can change variants with FM RS_VARIANT_CHANGE. I would suggest to run a where used list for this variant in your system.

can anyone tell me how to find the LST file in a form, i am calling one main LST file ,which fires when iwordpad pops up.. and when the wprdpad pops up ,it is saying that data not found in the data source ...
so wanted to check that LST file , in my form .
usually where ,in which trigger we will mention the LST file ... if anyone have this idea , please let me know .
cos in that LST file ,we will map the feilds which is used in both the wordpad and in my source tables.

HI Shiva,
There is no Special Search in SAP, but you can make use of function module which we use in BDC.
In Se37 --> Do the where used list on BDC_OPEN_GROUP, BDC_INSERT
and also, do the search for <b>Call TRANSACTION</b>
or else, you can use the Structure BDCDATA, goto SE11 and give this Structure name and do the where used list, give only Z* and Y*, so you will get all BDC Programs

I use below query or Sql*Plus's set autotrace traceonly statistics > redo size statistic to calculate how much redo I generated in my session;

But how to find the sessions which generated maximum(top 5 for example) redo from the last database startup on 9iR2 or also with new 10gR2 historic views?
We need this information because from the produced archived log files we observe something new producing almost 2 times more redo for a week. I looked at statspack report but couldnt find as I suspected for a massive update or delete.

If I have 2 instances of Java installed in 2 seperate directories, one 32 bits and other 64 bits on Linux. How do I identify which directory holds which version?

With a Sun JDK or JRE, you can use java -version:
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode)
... switch to the 64-bit JDK ...
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode)
The last line says "64-Bit."

In DBI , how to find out the Source Query used for the Report

Hi All,
How to find out the Source Query used to display the data in the DBI Reports or Dashboards. We can get it in Apps Front end by Going to Help and Record Histroty. But DBI Runs in Internet Explorer so i dont know how to get the source query ( SELECT Query ) Used.
In IE we have View --> Source . But that does not help since it gives the HTML Coding and not the SELECT Query used.
If anyone has ever worked on it...Please help me in finding it.

Hi neeraj,
You can see the query used to display reports.Follow these steps to get the query.
1)Login to oracle apps
2)Select "Daily Business Intelligence Administrator" responsiblity.
3)Now click on "Enable/Disable Debugging" (Now u enabled debugging)
4)now open the report which you want to see the query of
5)In view source it displays query along with the bind varilables.

yes we can upload the data , we can use the Direct input methods to upload the vendor master using LSMW tool . As goutham suggested use RFBIKR00 to upload the vendor master.

If we are talking standard emp and dept tables ala scott schema then (say); -
select ename, sal, total_dept_salary
from emp,
(select sum(sal) as Total_Dept_Salary,
deptno
from empt
group by
deptno) saldept
where emp.deptno = saldept.deptno
Is that what you were after?? (I would advise against correlated sub-queries on all but the most modest of tables)
There are nicer ways of doing the subquery depending on which version of the db you are on...

            If u forget all the details It is very difficult to find, u have to remember at least some details regarding to that program.. for that
1..   goto SE80 give u r package name u will get all the programs which r u developed according to the discription u can get some idea which u want.. and
2... go to SE09 trcode.. display all tr numbers..here all trs are there what u developed,   u can get some idea by looking the description of the tr numbers..
