Reading from other object

Hi Guys,
I dont know whether am following the correct way , I have a scenerio where I have to show in the report Blocking reasons . I have a field from DS Payment Block Key which is 0PMNT_BLOCK in BI. I have 7 Blocking reasons in one table called BSEG and I have enhanced my 0FI_AP_4 DS to include this 7 fields and mapped to 7 BI Objects 0BLCKRSN_PR for price 0BLCKRSN_QL for quality....Now bringing these fileds from BSEG effecting performance as each time the exit is calling. I do have a Text data source (0PMNT_BLOCK_TEXT) which is having same data as I need...So in order to get this Blocking reasons in to my report without enahcing from BSEG table Iam trying to read it from master data . but its not allowing me to do that....When I say read from master data for one of the info object 0BLCKRSN_PR and press F4 its showing no info object available for reading of master data....Can any one tell me why its showing this error...I do have a Master data object 0PMNT_BLOCK which is having the values A B D H M P , so I want to read the above object 0BLCKRSN_PR from this Object ...as P is for Price and so on....
Do I need to take the seven info objects as attributes of 0PMNT_BLOCK ?
If so , I didnt find a DS for attributes in ECC , I have only Text DS 0PMNT_BLOCK_TEXT....
Please advice me what I need to do for this...Also please shoot me a reply If you ahve any more questions....

the join produces more rows then the sum of it's parts (e.g. 154). For example:
select owner, name
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%BINARY_INTEGER%'
633 rows selected.
select owner, type
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%PLS_INTEGER%'
926 rows selected.
select ds1.owner, ds1.name, ds2.type
from all_source ds1 inner join all_source ds2 on (ds1.owner = ds2.owner and ds1.name = ds2.name and ds1.type = ds2.type)
where upper(ds1.text) like '%BINARY_INTEGER%'
and upper(ds2.text) like '%PLS_INTEGER%'
5710 rows selected.
select owner, count(name) as name_cnt
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%BINARY_INTEGER%'
group by owner
OWNER NAME_CNT
SYS 577
WWW 56
2 rows selected.
select owner, count(type)
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%PLS_INTEGER%'
group by owner
OWNER COUNT(TYPE)
SYS 909
WWW 17
2 rows selected.
this could be a solution then:
select ds1.owner, ds1.name_cnt, ds2.type_cnt
from (select owner, count(name) as name_cnt
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%BINARY_INTEGER%'
group by owner) ds1 inner join (select owner, count(type) as type_cnt
from all_source
where upper(text) like '%PLS_INTEGER%'
group by owner) ds2 on (ds1.owner = ds2.owner)
OWNER NAME_CNT TYPE_CNT
SYS 577 909
WWW 56 17
2 rows selected.

  • "Create Simple document" from other objects

    Scenario: Creating a document using option "Create Simple document" from other objects
    I have created a document type and defined the object link for Functional Location with option "create simple document"
    When clicking on create icon on the additional data tab on IL02 screen, The system asks for the document type and then the file to be uploaded.
    The document type that i have defined has the Description filed as mandatory field and hence i am not able to create the document.
    However, for the Document type when i set the description field as not mandatory the system creates DIR. But this DIR has no description.
    Please let me know if there is a BADI, using which i could set the Functional location name as the description OR if there is some enhancement by which the user is asked to enter the description when creating the document.
    Warm Regards,
    Vivek Mohankumar

    Hi Vivek,
    After my tests I would like to inform you that this is
    the standard system behavior as the document description field is
    maintained as mandatory in transaction DC10. Please note that for the
    simple creation of documents this should not be set as a mandatory
    field.
    The creation mode can be defined in transaction DC10 for each object
    under 'Define object links'.
    Please note that the value "1" for the creation of documents is used
    to enable a user to simple attache a word file to an object
    without going to the transaction CV01n. Therefore the system behaviour
    is different then creating a document by CV01n and attaching a
    file to it. With simple creation mode there should not be any
    mandatory fields as the user cannot enter anything during the creation
    process.
    However, you can change the behaviour how the document is created by
    MM02 transaction if you change the customizing in transaction DC10
    like this:
    If you maintain the value "2" for creation of documents, the user is
    put to transaction CV01n and then the description can be entered. So
    maybe this would solve the issue.
    Regarding a useful BADI I can only recommned you to test BADI DOCUMENT_OBJ1,
    DOCUMENT_OBJ2 or DOCUMENT_MAIN01 for fill the description field.
    I hope this information could be useful for you and help to avoid the
    mentioned error message.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Reading From Binding Object

    Dear Sir
    We are populateing the Binding object from the backing bean as the following code :
    public String writeToOutput() {
    DCIteratorBinding process = getIterator("processIterator");
    process.getCurrentRow().setAttribute("SimpleElemet", "Simple Element Value");
    executeMethod("ListIteratorCreateInsert");
    DCIteratorBinding itemIterator = null;
    for(int i=0; i<2; i++) {
    executeMethod("itemIteratorCreateInsert");
    itemIterator = getIterator("itemIterator");
    itemIterator.getCurrentRow().setAttribute("ID", String.valueOf(i+1));
    itemIterator.getCurrentRow().setAttribute("Name", "Name Value " + String.valueOf(i+1));

    private void executeMethod(String name) {
    getBindings().getOperationBinding(name).execute();
    and after I wrote on the binding object I want to read the data from it, is there any code that able me to read the data from the bininding object as the above structure.
    processIterator contain :
    - simple field "SimpleElemet".
    - ListIteratorCreateInsert contains :
    - itemIterator conatins :
    - id

    Note : i can read from the SimpleElemet but i do not how can i read from the list itemIterator , Please advice.

    Dear Thanks
    i already used the getAttribute("Name") and it working but my question there is a parent iterator and child iterator and the child iterator contain a complex object my quest is how i can access all the child list iterate attribute.
    Note I can read from the parent but I can get from the child.

  • Accessing stage objects from other objects

    I have drawn colored rods which I have placed in the library and have put one of each on the stage with instance names like
    blueRod_mc, etc.
    I place them around with time-line code like
    blueRod_mc.x = 300.0;
    I have now created an Actionscript class called Problem.
    I build a new object from Problem which I have called Riddle.
    But when I put blueRod_mc.x = 300.0 in a method (of Problem),
    I get the message that blueRod is not accessible.
    So I tried
    stage.blueRod_mc.x = 300.0;
    That did not work either.
    What does work? How can I modify properties of stage objects like blueRod from
    within an AC3 object like Riddle?

    public class Problem {
      private var number1:String ="";
      private var number2:String ="";
      private var rigor:Number = 1;
         // rigor: -1 is 3 steps, -2 is 4-5 steps, -3 is 6-7 steps
      private var step:Number = 1;
      private var numSteps:Number = 3;
      private var solving:Number = 0;
      private var true1Length:Number;
      private var true2Length:Number;
      private var tuple = new Array(6);
      public function Problem():void  {
       // constructor code
       var i:Number;
       var j:Number;
       for (i = 0; i < 6; i++) {
                     tuple[i] = new Array(3+5);
                     for (j=0; j < 3; j++) {
                       tuple[i][j] = new Array(8+7);
       buildIt();
       planIt();
    Just insert bolded code where you need to.

  • Calling object methods from other objects

    ok im trying to build a little windows application which shows a few thumbnails of pictures in a folder.
    I have a mainForm class that runs all the jFrame and menus, status bar etc, it has 2 jPanes, one with a jTree that browses the directories and the other is set blank and adds a few custom component objects depending on how many images are in the directory it does contains a few objects all from one custom component class that shows an image and a label below it.
    What i want to do is call the mainForm statusbar from within my custom component class. I have tried many things but cant seem to do it.
    How do i do this in java? or can anyone point me in the right direction for some reading material, websites etc?
    thanks

    if i have correctly understood what you are asking (big assumption)...
    you could just pass a reference to the main form into the custom class when you construct it (the custom class) - but this introduces unnessary coupling between the two classes and this approach will quickly get messy and hard to maintain.
    a better approach is to use the Mediuator pattern.
    have a look at
    www.mindspring.com/~mgrand/pattern_synopses.htm for example.

  • Mac Mail IMAP shows read message when already read from other devices

    Mac Mail IMAP is setup on custom domain ([email protected]).  When I open an email message through my iphone it shows it was read.  Then when I go into the mail app on my iMac, it shows the message is unread.  It still shows unread hours later and even when I click the "Get Mail" button
    How do I make it so that Mac mail syncs when I check mail through other devices?
    Thank you

    Open Terminal in Utilties and copy/paste
    This will send the attachment embedded inline. (This works in Snow Leopard, but not sure about Lion. Do a test first. If it doesn't work, just google "send attachment embedded + Lion." You don't actually have to send the message to see how it will appear.)
    defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0
    To reverse the setting, change the 0 to a 1
    However, whether this will work or not will depend on what the e-mail client on the receiver's end does with it.

  • Populating a complex table from another object collection in Syclo Agentry applications

    Hello Experts,
    I have an object which contains a table data as part of a collection property.
    Can I use this object to insert the data in another complex table? I am unable to use a separate bapi wrapper to populate the complex table in this case.
    As I have seen the existing complex tables in the Work Manager applications, they all get populated at the beginning of the main transmit.
    at this instant, I don't have the data in one of my objects based on which I have to populate my complex table.
    So, after the object is filled using a BAPI call, I have to fill up this complex table.
    Is it possible to populate this table this way?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Arihant Kothari

    Arihant,
    Yes.  You can create an Update Complex Table transaction.  It works against the Main Object, but then you choose which complex table you want to update on the transaction.  Add the properties you want to update and populate them.  To populate from your object collection, use "From other object property" for your initial value on a property, then point to the object and property you want to populate from: Whatever Object -> Whatever property.  Use a looping sub-action to loop over your object collection and create/update complex table records with your new transaction.  Finish the original sub-action with an Apply.  Don't apply after each CT record create because that is much slower.  Use a single Apply step after your Loop in the main action.  If the CT record already exists, it will be updated.  If it does not exist, it will be created.

  • How to store Connection object and call it from other programs.

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect to the database, store the connection object and use this connection object from other standalone java programs.
    Can any one tell me how to do this? I've tried in the following way:
    In the following program I am connecting to the database and saving the connection object in a variable.
    public class GetKT2Connection {
       public static void main(String[] args) {
          String url = "jdbc:odbc:SQLDsn;
          String dbUser = "sa";
          String dbPwd = "sa";
          Connection kt2conn = Connection connection = java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(url, dbUser, dbPwd);
          if(kt2conn == null) {
             System.out.println("Database Connection Failure!");
          else {
             System.out.println("Connected to Database...");
         GetKTConnectionObj.storeKT2ConnectionObj(kt2conn);
    } Here is the program to save connection object in a variable.
    public class GetKTConnectionObj {
       static Connection kt2Connection = null;
       public static void storeKT2ConnectionObj(Connection conn) {
       kt2Connection = conn;
       public static Connection getKT2ConnectionObj() {
       try {
          return kt2Connection;
       catch(Exception e){
          System.out.println(e);
      return null;
    }Now from the following code I am trying to get the connection object that is stored. But this is throwing NullPointerException.
    public class Metrics_Migration {
      public static void main(String args[]) {
         try {
        java.sql.Connection connection_1 =   GetKTConnectionObj.getKT6ConnectionObj();
         catch(Exception e){
    }

    kt2Connection is null. You need to store it first, to make it not null. Otherwise it will stay null forever. And why on earth are you trying to do this THIS way?
    If you are running the two applications separately, it wont work either.

    Reading the output from a object running in the local machine.
    By using a signed applet i am lunching a small application that returns an image object, how to read that without storing it in the hard disk.
    Which means i need to read the image object return by the local application using applet or jsp .
    i am using tomacat and an html page with an applet with it to lunch the application.

    You can write that image in a binary format using OutputStream for System.out and then read it in your applet.

  • Nullpointer exception while multiple users reading from XML DOM object

    We are getting a null pointer exception when we are trying to read from a Static XML DOM object . We are getting the exception in weblogic 7.1 very rarely but started getting the exception in weblogic 9.2 more frequently. When multiple users are trying to access the Static variable we are getting null pointer exception. I think it is a memory related issue. Making the whole method synchronized is resolving the issue. But that is not the right thing to do. Can any one know what might be the issue here?

  • Read data from Vector object serialized in a file issue!!

    Hi all,
    I have two classes :CBase and CHelper class in a package and serializing some information in a file and then reading it. I am facing some problem while reading the data
    which was stored using vector of objects. Below is the detailed problem:::::
    ////////////CHELPER
    public class CHelper implements Externalizable, Cloneable {
    public string szname;
    //..other functions writeexternal read external
    ////////////CBASE
    public class CBase
    implements Externalizable, Cloneable {
    protected boolean bRead;
    protected boolean bWrite;
    protected Vector vData;
    public void addInstance(CHelper obj) {
    vData.addElement(obj);
    //..other functions writeexternal read external
    I am Serializing all the CBase information in a file and trying to read the contents from this serialized file::::
    CBase base = new CBase();
    CHelper obj = new CHelper();
    obj.setName("HELPER");
    base.addInstance(obj); // ADDING THE OBJECT DATA INTO THE VECTOR
    base.bRead = true;
    base.bWrite = true;
    // Writing to the file
    FileOutputStream fs = new FileOutputStream("d:\\temp\\Base.txt");
    ObjectOutputStream os = new ObjectOutputStream(fs);
    os.writeObject(base);
    os.close();
    //reading from the file
    FileInputStream fi = new FileInputStream("d:\\temp\\Base.txt");
    ObjectInputStream oi = new ObjectInputStream(fi);
    CBase read = (CBase) oi.readObject();
    PRINTING THE OUTPUT
    System.out.println("Vector = " + read.vData.firstElement().toString());
    System.out.println("Write = " + read.bRead);
    System.out.println("Read = " + read.bWrite);
    The output is something like:
    Vector = com.sp.CHelper@14b7453 // WHAT IS THIS ?? GARBAGE ?? NOT ABLE TO ANALYSE :(
    Write = true;
    Read = true;************
    MY PROBLEM:
    i.e How to get the information stored in the Vector ? I am getting something "com.sp.CHelper@14b7453 " whereas the expected output should be Vector = HELPER. I am
    writing and reading the vector as follows:
    // CHELPER
    public void writeExternal(ObjectOutput out) throws IOException {
    out.writeUTF(szName.toString());
    public void readExternal(ObjectInput in) throws IOException,
    ClassNotFoundException {
    setName(in.readUTF());
    Externalize in CBase Classs
    out.writeInt(getInstanceCount()); // getting number of objects in the vector
    for (int index = 0; index < getInstanceCount(); index++) {
    out.writeObject((CHelper)vData.get(index));
    out.writeBoolean(bWrite);
    out.writeBoolean(bRead);
    And reading like this::
    int iNumberofInstances; // number of instances
    iNumberofInstances = in.readInt();
    vData.clear();
    // Get the CHelper object and add it into the CFeatureBase vector
    for (int i = 0; i < iNumberofInstances; i++) {
    CHelper objbase = (CHelper)in.readObject();
    vData.add(objbase);
    this.bWrite = in.readBoolean();
    this.bRead = in.readBoolean();
    I suppose that i am correctly WRITING AND READING the data. B/w what can be the problem. All suggestions are welcome/
    Thanks,
    Rohit

    Vector = com.sp.CHelper@14b7453 // WHAT IS THIS ??

    Read = true;************

    HELPER.This is perfectly normal behaviour if your CHelper class doesn't override the toString() method. The default toString() method in Object just prints the name of the class and a hex representation of the object's hash code.
    Add a toString() method to CHelper that returns szname and you should see what you are expecting.

  • How to read internal table data and use to retrive from other table.

    Hi all,
        I am trying to generate a report using ooabap.
    In this scenario, I retrieved data from one standard table (zcust) and successfully displayed using structure 'i_zcust_final' ( i_zcust_final is similar structure of zcust).
        Now I want to get some other data from other standard table  (zpurch) using the data in i_zcust_final. How....???? I am unable to read data from i_zcust_final even i kept in loop.
        I am attaching the code here.. even it too long, please look at the code and suggest me what to do.

    Hi Surendar..
    There is mistake in the Work area specification in this method.
    METHOD GET_ZPURCH.
    LOOP AT ITAB_ZCUST INTO ITAB_ZCUST1.
    SELECT CUSTNUM
    PURC_DOC
    VENDOR
    STATUS
    PURC_ORG

    ENDLOOP.
    LOOP AT ITAB_ZPURCH INTO I_ZPURCH_FINAL.

    I_ZPURCH_FINAL-VENDOR,
    I_ZPURCH_FINAL-STATUS,
    I_ZPURCH_FINAL-PURC_ORG.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDMETHOD.
    Now it should work..
    One more thing : From performance point of view you have to Replace that loop using FOR ALL ENTRIES . And avoid CORRESPONDING FIELDS. it will be slow.
    This is the code.
    LOOP AT ITAB_ZCUST INTO ITAB_ZCUST1.
    if ITAB_ZCUST[] IS NOT INITIAL.
    SELECT CUSTNUM
    PURC_DOC
    VENDOR
    STATUS
    PURC_ORG
    FROM ZPURCH
    INTO TABLE ITAB_ZPURCH
    <b>for all entries in ITAB_ZCUST1</b>
    <b>WHERE CUSTNUM EQ      ITAB_ZCUST1-CUSTNUM.</b>
                                   "Instead of  I_ZCUST_FINAL-CUSTNUM.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.

    Hey Ayaz,
    I do had the same error message when I click on "PowerPivot Management Dashboard". After few research I resolved this issue.
    You need to provide the dbReader and dbWriter permission to powerpivot app pool account at "SharePoint_AdminContent_ca021d58-ef1f-4f30-9aeb-6f24db24862b"
    Have a great day :-)

  • How to read the value from other cubes ??

    Dear All,
    I have requirement to do some calculation where part of number there must be got from other info-cube.
    e.g.
    Cube 1
    Has: Ch1, Ch2, Kf1, Kf2, Kf3
    Cube 2
    Has: Ch3, Ch4, Kf4, Kf5
    Then the requirement need to compute:
    KF1 =  KF4 * KF3
    Let say that our planning area use Cube 1.
    Means, to get the value for KF1 we need to read data from cube 2.
    I've tried to use this function: RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ
    But it can't fetch the data. It caused when we go "manage" to
    cube 1, the status for the corresponding request is yellow.
    If we change the status into green, then we can get the record by that function.
    My Questions is
    Is there other way that can fetch data from other cube ??
    Do you have any suggestions ??
    Or ..
    In my explanation above, is there some thing missing ?
    Regards,
    Niel.

    Hi Olivier,
    Really thanks for your response...
    But i still have distraction regarding your preceding posting ..
    in a query, yellow requests from a trans cube can be read with the variable 0S_RQTRA (most current data) on 0REQUID.
    I had a look into the corresponding exit ( FM = RSVAREXIT_0S_RQTRA ) and can see that SAP is filling 0REQUID with VALUE 'REQ_TRANS'
    You mean, that we can check what status happening in corresponding info-provider by using this function: RSVAREXIT_0S_RQTRA . Am i right ?
    Could you clear me up what the objective is for ?
    I've tried your suggested function:
    RSSEM_INFOPROV_READ
    And yes it can take it .. But why it couldn't fetch all data ?
    And also in RSSEM FG, i saw this function:
    RSSEM_INFOPROV_READ_RFC
    Do you know what the objective is for ??
    Still need your guidance.
    Regards,
    Niel.

  • As3 get position from object in other object

    please i need help, i have a object inside this object i have other objects, (MC.Part1,MC.Part2,MC.Part3...etc), the MC rotate in the escene, that with interpolation, with the tools of flash,that is ok, the object parent rotate and the childs with he, but i want obtain the coordenate from the childs (MC1.Part1.x, MC1.Part1.y,MC1.Part1.z, etc), i try with trace(MC1.Part1.x), and always give me the same coordenate, i think is the coordenate in the parent, but i want the coordinate of the child when the parend is rotating.
    Please help me

    The coordinates of the child objects do not change relative to the parent that holds them if the parent is being moved, so they will report the same values all of the time.  If you want to know the location relative to the main stage, then you need to make use of the localToGlobal() method.  Try searching Google using terms like "AS3 localToGlobal tutorial" to get an explanation of how to use it.
