To insert multiple lines into the table you have to record the transaction for one entry and loop the same step multiple times to create multiple entries in the table.

Now, this RFC returns two tables.
I want to know how do I read a table and iterate over its contents to read all fields.
(Till now, I only used getString("GBU") method that just reads an export type of String parameter)

Ofcourse you need to change the variable names based on your scenario.

Read SAP table content through VBA why Chinese characters display as '#'

I meet a problem . I want to get sap table content through RFC in excel VBA. now i have solve it . It can got table content . when i change a new system , it can get table content ,but chinese characters display as '#' ( it works well in sap 4.6c Chinese characters can display , when upgrate to ecc 6.0 it can't works well )

Hi Chirs,
I am facing the same problem but i am using c sharp and this is a windows application.
I tried to change the CodePage attribute by simply setting connection.codepage = "8040";
But i get an exception.
attempted to read or write protected memory.
I cant seem to change this. What should i do. Also do we have to set this at the point of connecting to the Sap system or when i'm calling the RFC. I tried both instances but none worked. Could you please help me out.
i am using VS 2008.

Deleting DB table contents using internal table

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement of deleting DB table contents. Requirement is as follows,
User will select the DB table description in the seletion screen using drop down list.
Whichever description he selects,the corresponding table contents should be deleted and we should not hardcode the table name in if or case conditions.
Is this possible?

Hi,
You can get the Table name from the desciption from table DD02T.
Use the Key word DELETE to delete the contents of a table from program.
PARAMETERS : p_ddtext type ddtext.
select single * from dd02t into table db_tab where DDLANGUAGE = 'EN' and ddtext = p_ddtext.
DELETE DB_TAB-TABNAME
FROM ITAB. " Take F1 help on this Key word
IMPORTANT --> Do not manually delete the contents of a DB table in SAP.
The individual records only deleted through BDC or any other Acceptable Methods.
Rest is left to you. Be careful about this activity. Take enough Authourizations/ Permissions or consult your BASIS or other team members.

I need to to transfer the content of a HR table (T526) using an ALE scenario. However I have not found a way to do this. I stumpled over CONDA2 but not quite sure if this suits the bill. Anybody out there who can help.

Reating an HTML Table Contents using named Anchors

a table of contents for our Association Bylaws. Just in case
I've created named anchors using titles such as article_I,
article_II, etc.
is there anyway to make when clicking on a given TOC entry
that it will go to that point perhaps highligting it, going to that
point the document?

firstly, if you have multiple rows.. you need to start each row with <tr> and end with a </tr>. You just have one in the beginning and end,which will obivously give data in one row.

Script task error during the creation of partition by reading a table and using AMO - SSAS 2012

Hi,
I need to create SSAS (tabular) and process partitions in an authomatic manner. Moreover, the partitioning is respect to a category, an year and a month.
Category, year and month are resident on a table to read to create the SSAS partitions.
So, in a SSIS pkg:
a. I've created a data flow task to read the SQL Server table having category, year and month data,
b. I've connected the output of the ole db source as the input for a recordset destination, associated to an object variable,
c. I've used a for each loop container (ado enumerator) specifying the object variable and three variables, for category, year and month,
d. inside the for each loop container I've created a script task using AMO (visual basic) to control for any existing partitions, if not presents to create the new ones and then to process them.
For the first iteration, a new partition has been created and processed successfully, but then, for other category, year and month values the script task fails. I've controlled the code many times and I've tried to put returning messageboxes but I've found
anything. The error is a generic one and no other info are returned.
Well, any suggests to me in order to solve this issue, please?

We are tryiong to read the infocube /BIC/ACDPBARCO00 ( Table ) from BW using the above FM . We are successful in reading the data but , last but one field is appearing as ####### . Actually that particular filed has some data in BW side .
Could you suggest m,e what the problem is and how to correct that data ?

Hi ,
Are you pulling entries by passing only Table Name or with field names.
If it is based on field names, Please check all field names are correctly passed to this function module or not.
If this FM doesn't work then try with RFC_READ_TABLE, which does the same task.

but you can write a fm and make it RFC.
