Reading image from database table
How can i select an image of type (blob) from a data base item to a variable inside a portlet . I have tried to simulate what happens in a form when querying an image item (using htp.img) , but I don't know correct value to be passed to it. How do you suggest to do that ?
I am not sure if this is any helpfull but here are the versions of the two JDBC drivers.

It says Parameter not Valid... i am reading all the images from databaseI agree with Viorel. You are getting the error because the format of the data is incorrect probably because the data was modify. It may not be the reading of the database the is incorrect, but the application that wrote the data into the database. You need
to compare the imgg array data with the data before it was written to the database to see if the data matches. I usually start by comparing the number of bytes which is easier to check then compare the actual to isolate which function is changing the
byte count.
An image is binary data. The standard VS methods for reading and writing data (usually stream classes) default to ASCII encoding which will corrupt binary data. The solution usually is to use UTF8 encoding instead of the default ascii encoding.
Ascii encoding with stream often aligns the data and adds extra null bytes to the end of the data which can produce these type errors.

Displaying image from database table.
Hi All,
I am very new to Web Dynpro ABAP.
I am developing an application to display an image in "Image" UI Element.
For this I have one table consisting of fields image id, image data and image name. here image id is primary key field.
Now i want to display an image from that table in "Image" UI Element. For this i am using "Filedown load" UI element.
But by using filedownload ui element i can diaplay image in another new page.
But my requirement is to display image in the same web page without creating a new one.
(I want to display the image in "Image" UI element without storing that image in MIME objects.)
Can anyone help me.

Sreelakshmi.What you describe is completely possible. Since you have the image data (XSTRING) in the context you have everything you need. You don't need to store the content into the MIME Repository, but you do need to get it somewhere where it has an externally accessible URL. Remember you need to supply image UI element with a URL. This URL is processed on the client side by the web browser. Therefore just giving it a path to the context won't work as that isn't externally accessible.
I would suggest instead that you place the image content into the ICM cache temporarily. This lets you basically generate a temporary URL for the image that can be used by the Image UI element.
Here is some example code that pushes images into the ICM Cache:

It depends on whether you created a BOL model for your Z-table or not. If you don't have a BOL model, then all you can do is use a value node. In that case, you need to add attribute that you want to show in the value node, read the values from the z-table and add them to the node. You can create method(s) in view implementation class to read values from database table and fill the context node. From where these methods should then be called will depend on your requirement.

I have set the raw value as 3600 but still its gives the same error only. When I debug the procedure its throwing the error stack in

SajidI think that it may help you get image from database. I used two jsp page. First one is getphoto.jsp that makes as table based in sql statment and invoke the getimage.jsp this last returns images based on
the getphoto.jsp PhotoId.

You are going about this wrong. You need to decide what your HTML will look like before you start writing servlet code. In this case you want to have something like a table, with an image in each row, right? Now what does the HTML for that look like? It's a <table> element, and so on, but what about the images? Well this is HTML, so it can't contain the binary images. It has to contains links to the images, and the browser will download the image from each of those links and put all of the downloads together into the page it displays.
That means you can't do it all with one servlet. You need a main servlet that generates the HTML, with the <table> element and the links to the images. Probably you need some DB calls here to find out how many images you're going to have, but you don't need to get them in this servlet. You just need to generate a link for each of them.
Then you need a second servlet that gets an image. It's going to get a single row from the DB and return the binary image you read from that row. Make sure to use "image/jpg" or whatever's appropriate instead of "text/html" in your response's content type here.
I will leave you to carry on from here. First step is to design the HTML that your main servlet will produce; remember that the links it generates need to carry enough information for the second servlet to be able to find the right image in the DB.

Im developing plugin in illustrator cs3 using visual studio 2005. I need to get the values eneterd in database. Im able to get the integer values. But while getting string values it is returning empty value.

In the above code im geeting project D which is an integer value. But not able to get the project name.

How to delete a row from database table in facade client
Hi all,
I followed the tutorial in creating a persistence entity from database table, then a session facade. Then I followed the tutorial to create a sample client to test the model. In the session facade, I could use persistEntity method to insert a record to the database. I am just thinking of an extension to the tutorial, i.e., being able to delete the record too. So I created a new method removeEntity in the session facade

and called it in the sample client. It was executed without any error, but the record in the table still exists.

Problem is the scanner works fine with TWAIN, but with SANE, it is totally failing. There is a permanent connection refusal form the scanner ip whenever
i try to use a network scanner. I am not sure how to solve it. If anyone has solved this please revert back.

I created a SQL database in phpMyAdmin. It contains 2 tables.
'Woninginformatie' and 'Makelaars'.
I use the next SQL query in my PHP file to read from the
database:

The query works correct and I get all the fields from both
tables. Anyway, in Flash I can only read out the information in the
table 'Woninginformatie'.

Fill pdf form from database table
I am working on small application for my employer. We have record fo all new employee in table and want to fill PDF (I-9) from database using APEX application.

ThanksIf I understand you correctly then I need to first export the xml file using Data-> Load sample XML data and later create template in template.rtf and upload data using APEX in template. In this case I need to create rtf template exactly similar to http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf.
I am not sure is there any way to to used existing pdf template or save pdf template to rtf template. Later that template can be used to populate data using APEX.
