Dears,
I'm new to the budgeting and planning in the real estate industry. Does anyone have any helpful documents to understand the business logic of this industry to be able to start working in Hyperion Planning and Hyperion HFM implementations in this field ?

If the plan data is already available then I think you should go for extracting the data from ECC into BI and then load the data from BI cubes to BPC Applications.
You can load the data to BPC cubes by usind standard method of DTP or using data manager packages. While loading the data from BI to BPC you can make use of transformations and structure the BI data in the format required by BPC Apps.

This is the step that I took after inputting my signature.
On the right, after saving my document, I click "Get Others to Sign." I was confused because it says that it's powered by EchoSign. Like I stated before, my clients are able to sign this document when I send it to them, but it is returned to me with their signature (not in the signature field, but at the end of the document), and my signature is missing. I tested this on myself - my signature is missing when they receive it.

There is no direct (User Menu) path for uploading budget & plan data for IOs.
We use copy from excel sheet and paste for those IOs that are visible on the screen (about 20 entries each time).

may i know what is the difference between budget and planning?
i heard budget done in ko22 whereas planning done in kpf6. so what is the different nature of budget and planning? are they the same?

Planning is not binding ie you can change it. You can maintain various versions for planning. The final approved version is generally converted to Budget, which is binding ie cant be changed easily.

Budgeting and Planning periods in Comensation Management

Hi guys,
Do budgeting periods and Planning periods have to be the same in compensation management? Based on the SAP documentation, I understand that planning period can be different from budgeting period? What if my client has budget period from 01/01/2009 to 12/31/2009 and his planning period from 04/01/2009 to 03/31/2009? It should not matter to me since we are assigning the budgets to the adustment types. What are your views on this? Can you please let me know @ the earliest?

HI,
You can have different budget period and planning periods...it depends upon how the client wants it but you need to check how the amount assigned to an employee is deducted and from which budget period..
eg. budget periods
01.01.2008 31.12.2008
01.01.2009 31.12.2009
Planning period 01.04.2008 31.03.2009
Planning period is overlapping 2 budgets hence will the amount for april to december be deducted from first budget and for the remaining 3 months from the second budget period.

Budget and Planning KP06 and CJR2

Does anybody know about function/BAPI that inputs the budget for cost center (trans. KP06) and projects/WBS (trans. CJR2). I want to stop using BDC and use the function instead.
I looked at function BAPI_COSTACTPLN_POSTACTINPUT and its group; they dont work for me because they require the usage of Cost Center/Activity type while we are not using Activity type in here.

Cost planning and Budgeting cannot be done at Storage location level.
Budgeting can be done only at WBS level.

Help w Real Estate Tutorial

I am adapting the Flash Form Real Estate tutorial and I am
real close to getting everything working. Upon inserting a new
listing it puts it in the MS SQL correctly but adds a blank row in
the grid. If you refresh it shows up correctly. The only difference
between the tutorial is that I need to get the primary key of the
new insert. Help! I am so close but no matter what I do it comes
back blank. ???????

I have been asked to design a website for a friends real estate business and I am looking for a php script that will allow him to be able to upload his own listings and such. Does anyone have any suggestions on a script?

Help designing a custom real estate sign

Hi,
I am currently looking for a new job and am seeking out a career in marketing. I recently got notification of a job opening with a real estate company for a digital strategies marketing manager which would be perfect! The challenge is standing out in a crowd and not to have your resume overlooked by recruiters, HR, etc.
With that said, I have a creative idea that I think will help me stand out. I want to create a real estate sign and customize it. So what I am looking for help with is how to even start this--creating the sign and wood posts. I am not super savvy with Illustrator (or maybe you'd suggest I use a different program) but really want this job and want to show them my creativity and that I know how to stand out from other candidates who aren't nearly as creative with their resume.
If anyone out there could point me in the right direction that would be more than appreciated--maybe you know of a tutorial or could walk me through some steps. I have started playing around with it and I know it can't be that hard and thought maybe someone out there may be able to help. I attached a picture of a sign that I'm looking to mimic. Instead of Sold at the top I'd create a box that says HIRED! Then I may put my pic at the bottom like the realtor and my name and phone number and my website/linkedIn info. I'd customize the actual sign with info from my resume.

If you are open to (even the silliest) suggestions, you may do as follows, in a new RGB document with points (or pixels) as the unit:
1) Create a nice photo of a sold sign from your target real estate company, pole and all, with a nice background;
2) File>Place the photo and adjust the zoom level down so you can see the whole photo, and write down the W value, then lock the photo;
3) Create and fit a stroke/nofill rectangle on top of the SOLD part (it may be just inside the actual sign part), then switch switch to fill/nostroke and match the colour as well as you can (you may change the RGB values in the Color palette);
4) Choose a suitable font and with the Type Tool write HIRED, then move and change size to fit on top of the rectangle from 3);
5) Repeat 3) and 4) for the bottom contact part, with your photo and details;
6) Unlock the original photo.
7) Adapt your Artboard to Fit Artwork, and File>Save for Web (& Devices) as JPEG with maximum quality, in the Image Size insert the W value and tick Text Optimized.
You may save at smaller sizes, too, just divide the W value in the Image Size window by 2, 4, whatever.
This will give you an image (set) you can use (at different sizes), just insert.
I believe this way will fully express your innovative approach (and give them the pleasure of recognition), and it may be the safest way to get you there in time.

now we need the business content for real estate and plan maintenence. i have read documents which contains the business content , but i couldnt find the particular one am searching for ie..real estate and plan maintenence....
should i update the patch?

Budgeting and Integrated Planning? General Info and advice?

I have a series of reports that I am working with a team on. Each of these reports contains historical figures (going back month by month for at least 2 years). Each report also contains Budgeted figures as well as a variance calculation.
I would like to ask you if you can any quick summarizing description for how to generated budget figures using Integrated Planner?

1) create a real-time cube
2) in case actual data needs to be displayed as well for reference, include this cube into a mult-provider
3) create an aggregation level containing all the relevant characteristics and key figures for planning (to be done in the planning modeler -> transaction RSPLAN)
4) create a filter for your query restricting both actual and plan data. (planning modeler)
5) create a query based on the aggregation level, used the filter defined in 4 and make sure your plan keyfigures always have unique values (for exampel period 1 - 12 in one key figure is not plannable, because system does not know which period to post to). In other words, all characteristics which are not in the leading columns, should have a unique value (via the filter, or using restricted key figures).
6) create a workbook with your planquery, add some buttons, like save and start planning

In forthcoming we are planing to bring IS Retail Real Estate also in the same system.. In this scenario i have some doubts Please help me to get it clarify.
1. For Activating or Bring IS Retail Real Estate Module is there any additional user cost or license is required ?
2. Is it possible to activate two industry solution in the same box ?
3. If yes, Will Retail and Real Estate or any existing Functional modules affect?
4. Normally what is the time frame for implementing the Real Estate Module for GCC country zone.
5. Real Estate is a new installation or Add-on ?

You've got to give us something to go on here. At least post a screen shot so we can see how your data is arranged. I suspect that you may have named the months with text strings rather than as actual Date values, so when you sort they are in alphabetical order rather than date order.
