Real_sub_e for supplier data

Hi all,
I am trying to understand the usage of real_sub_e, but I did not find much valuable info in the forum. So here I have several questions as below.
Looks real_sub_e is introduced without SPRC, so it can be used even we don't plan to implement SPRC2.0. So under this situation, what's the suggested data structure for using real_sub_e, what will be the default property tree for this spec type? i.e, how real_sub_e can be input as supplier listing in real_sub? Any pictogram to show the relationship with real_sub, pure_sub and composition and so on?
And if we have several suppliers for the same raw material, but a bit different in classification, does it mean we need to create several real_sub_e accordingly? Without SPRC, can we still create them automatically, or this normally is done manually?
Any additional info or help document are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Dear John
your topic has been discussed often here. Recently most of your "doubts/topics/questions" have been discussed e.g. here:
Why REAL_SUB_E?
This thread is mainly related to topic:
"And if we have several suppliers for the same raw material, but a bit different in classification, does it mean we need to create several real_sub_e accordingly?"
regarding:
Without SPRC, can we still create them automatically, or this normally is done manually?
Which type of automaiton you are lookingfor? IN EHS classic there is no "communication platform" as with e.g. SPRC. Therefore either you create manually REAL_SUB_E or you use e.g. standard EHS impoort to do so.
REAL_SUB_E is discussed e.g. here:
SRC: REAL_SUB_E creation
REACH : Creation of REAL_SUB_E & Linking with REAL_SUB
REA_SUB_E
Documentation on REAL_SUB_E?
Waste Selction criterion Rename MSDS / SDS
Any of these threads discuss or handle "subtopics" of the REAL_SUB_E topic.

  • Supplier data quality

In R12.1.3 -Supplier Hub/Lifecycle Mgt - we have already data quality feature included out of box. Do we need to install enterprise data quality separately in this case for supplier data cleansing?

    Hi,
As far as I know Supplier Hub has no DQ Dashboarding capability.
You could purchase Oracle Enterprise Data Quality to do this for supplier hub and any other source of data.

  • RDA for Transactional Data Changes (But needs to load as Master Data to IO)

    Hi,
I would like to use RDA to load Data changes into IO (Not for DSO).
I tried using this, i can able to load data into PSA. But, from PSA to IO, No datapackage is getting transfered. i.e. Transfered records = 0.
We considered several options i.e. remote cubes etc. We need to implement RDA.
Note: I have gone through the Documentation on RDA. Which SAP mentioned, RDA won't support for Master Data if we have aggregates. We don't have any Aggregates build on my cubes.
    Thanks in advacne!!!

RDA DTP is used for supplying data to the Data Store Objects but not to the Master data infoobjects...

  • MDW Disk Usage for Database Report Error - A data source has not been supplied for the data source DS_TraceEvents

    Hello,
On the MDW Disk Usage Collection Set report, I get the following error when I click on a database hyperlink.
A data source has not been supplied for the data source DS_TraceEvents
SQL profiler shows the following SQL statements are executed (I've replaced the database name with databaseX)
    1. exec sp_executesql N'SELECT
    dtb.name AS [Name]
    FROM
    master.sys.databases AS dtb
    WHERE
    (dtb.name=@_msparam_0)',N'@_msparam_0 nvarchar(4000)',@_msparam_0=N'databaseX'
this returns zero rows as databaseX does not exist on my MDW central server, but is a database on a target server (i.e. one that is being monitored and uploaded into the MDW central server).
    2. USE [datatbaseX]
    this produces the following error:
    Msg 911, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Database 'databaseX' does not exist. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.
why is the report looking for the database on my server?
    thanks
    Jag
Environment: MDW (Management Data Warehouse) on SQL 2008 R2

    Hi Jag,
Based on my test, while this database is offline, we will encounter this issue. This is because that while we click the certain database in “Disk Usage Collection
Set” report, it will query some information with that certain database. If this database is offline, we will not access this database to acquire related information and generates this error.
Therefore I recommend that you check the status of this database by using this system view:
sys.databases. If it is not online, please execute
the following statements in a new window to make this database to be online:
    USE master
    GO
ALTER DATABASE <database name> SET ONLINE
    GO
If anything is unclear, please let me know.

  • Supplier data for contractors

Our business group is currently using only Core HR and there are several contractors/contingent workers in the system. What is the best way to capture the supplier name? Right now, it is captured in some DFF but I want to use the supplier name field in the supplier tab of assignment form. There are other business groups in the same instance for different countries and they are using the purchasing module and have defined suppliers for their use which I am able to see in the list of values for supplier field in my business group.
I want to suggest our HR folks to start using the supplier field instead of capturing this information in some DFF. Will there be any negative implications of doing this? Is supplier data shared across business groups? If I define suppliers for our business group purposes, will the other business groups be able to see our values?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Jay

    Hi Satish,
You would typically use BOMBOS to create a product structure that includes the supplier parts.
Per default BOMBOS would evaluate the procurement indicator and if it is a buy part it would evaluate the Appoved Manufacturer Part Lists (AMPL) or the purchasing info records.
You should see the supplier/manufacturer parts in the product structure of the Compliance Workbench below the component (= SAP MM). These would be the CDOs you mentioned.
Yes, in an IMDS scenario you would need to map the IMDS OrgID to the supplier number.
    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • Addition of result column in SRM 7.0 POWL Report "Contracts for Supplier"

    Hi,
We are on SAP SRM 7.0 SP08. There are two POWL reports associated with contracts i.e. "Contract for Supplier" and "Contract for Product". We want to add two fields/columns to the report (Payment Type and Responsible Employee).
As per SAP standards, we appended two structures /SAPSRM/S_SEARCH_RESULT_CTR and /SAPSRM/S_POWL_RESULT_CTR. Feeder type "/SAPSRM/SRM_CTR_H_01" assigned to this report is not maintained in t-code /SAPSRM/POWL_CUST.
Fields are still not displayed as column in the report. Please suggest.

YOu have to login to the Physical box in which XI is installed (Take Basis Help.
In one of the drives, you will find a folder called seeburger.
Inside that folder, you can browse to find the XSD structure for your 810 .
YOu will find different XSDs for different versions of 810.
Suppose your EDI 810 version is 4010, then you have to use the XSD for 810 4010 version (There will be separate folders for each transaction set/version combination.
It will be there also in the software CD that seeburger provides when you buy it.

No need of split 997 in outbound case. In this case, you will send the 810 and the partner will send the 997.
So, to receive that 997 file, you need another scenario. You need the split 997 communication channel only in inbound case like in 850, but not in outbound case.
    > Last point -- is Dispatch advice direction is like 850 (Inbound ) or its direction is like 810 (outbound)?
    > Do we have IDOC or something like that present and its mapping ?
    >
like I said earlier, it is an outbound document if your company is the vendor.
It will be inbound if your company is the Customer to some other company.
The IDOC that is used usually will be DESADV idoc.

  • Conversion of .dgn file to .shp files for spatial data processing

    Hi All,
Presently I am working oracle spatial database (10gR2). I have following task:
Task: Spatial data loading into oracle database 10g Release 2:
Task process description: Client has given the input file as with .dgn extension. So we have to convert that to .shp file and load to spatial database.
There is utility in OTN site for loading data .shp file data into spatial database. This we can able to do.
Now I am looking for how to convert the .dgn file to .shp file? I mean, if there is any tool for it or any commands to do this in specific environment.
    Any help would appreciate.
    Thanks,
    [email protected]

    Hi,
There are several ways to do this.
Get a general GIS format translator. I use FME. This can be obtained from SAFE at safe.com. There is a free 30 day evaluation.
Get GIS software which has a data translation facility. Take your pick of the systems.
Write some code to read the DGN into Oracle. The DGN format can be found at http://www.bentley.com/en-US/Products/MicroStation/OpenDGN/. You need to know the version of DGN.
Ask your client to supply data in SHP format.

    Hi Ranay,
Approvals using Position Hierarchy can be used across Business Group. But specific to purchasing module not 100% sure.

    Madhavi

    Hi Madhavi,
Please use the following steps to narrow down the issue.
First under data source administration check to make sure you can see the hierarchy under the supplier dimension and the numbers of levels show up correctly.  If necessary perform 'Refresh Datasource' to ensure SPM has the most up to date definition of the BW query.
Secondly, when you receive this error message please check the portal logs which should give you more details as to what might be causing this issue.
Third, SP6 patch 2 was just released.  Please apply this patch 2 see if this resolves the issue.
