Hi Experts,
I want to know the rebate process in Materials Management.Can somebdy help me with this or provide if any documents available.
We have a scenario that we have ana agreement with vendor that if we buy quantity of say 1000pcs in year he will provide us discount of 5%.

    Hi,
    The returns order can be created with reference to an invoice to ensure traceability of the process. It may be worthwhile ensuring this is mandatory when creating the returns order type. It may also be worthwhile ensuring the returns order reason was entered on the sales document. Thus, it may be necessary to add this in an incompletion procedure. You may want to copy the pricing from the invoice back into the sales order.
    Note: - There is no need to indicate a negative value in the copying control rules, as the system sees the document type as a return. It automatically posts the entries in the finance document as opposite entries on the ledger. By using the same pricing values, you ensure a reversal of the externally created invoice.
    It is advisable to have a billing block assigned to the return order to prevent a credit for returns being created until an authorized person releases the billing block. Go to Sales, Sales documents, Sales document header, Define sales document type in the billing block field in the billing section.
    Once the returns delivery is created, the material is receipted back into our plant. The material should use a goods movement back into stock that inspects the stock, such as blocked stock, before placing it back into available stock to be consumed by the next sales order that places a demand for the material in the plant.
    Tip: - It is advisable to indicate a shipping condition that is specifically used for returns. Thus, all return deliveries or goods receipts can be done by a specific shipping point. This is useful when running the delivery due list. You can select only to process the returns deliveries, as well as offer better visibility of stock movements.
    The standard item category used by returns is REN.
    Process Flow: -
    1. VA01 - Create Return Order (Order Type - RE) w.r.t. original Billing Document
    2. VL01N - Create Delivery w.r.t. Return Order (Here do Picking and Post Goods Receipt i.e. PGR)
    3. VF01 - Create Credit Memo w.r.t. Delivery Document
    4. J1IEX - Capture Excise Invoice --> Without Purchase order and enter all details like; Material, Vendor, Quantity, Assessable Value, Excise Duties like; BED, ECS and SECess, etc... manually and Post.

    u2022 What condition types are required for rebates
    the condition type for rebate is special,  different the normal pricing condition,  the rebate condition has a different condition usage.  you can define the rebate condition record in rebate related SPRO path
    u2022 How are they linked to TP and how the conditions flow to ECC
    the condition generation configure in TP link the condition with TP type, you can check the configuration in SPRO
    u2022 How are these conditions determined in sales order
    the rebate also need to configure to the sale order, this configuration is under SD rebate path, and you can upload the configuration by middleware synchronize object from CRM
    u2022 Are there any agreements that need to be created
    the aggrement will be created automatically if the rebate condition can be generated in CRM TP.   pay attention that the spend type table in TP WEB UI page has a button named 'rebate generate'
    u2022 How does accruals happen
    the accrals is depend on the funds plan,  if fund plan created and configure for accrualls, you can launch a job background for accrual base on a fund plan from WEB UI
    u2022 How is it linked to funds, what set up of funds is required
    the funds is link to fund plan,   fund plan link to TP.   There is no directly link between funds with rebate, but they have indirect relationship through spend category, method,...    E.G.   you configure a rebate belong to a spend category,  and you can configure the spend category in fund determination with TP.
    The funds will be determined when TP created
    u2022 How validation happens from claims
    validaion happens in claim processing,  in claim,  the spend value will be fetch from fund usage, and bring to the validation screen, you can edit the validation data, and  claim will generate the billing due list according to the validation you input.

  • Third Party Process in Materail Management (No SD)

    Hi,
    Our Business would like to outsource the Stationary materials to supply the required materials directly to requester.
    I believe the best possible solution for this requirement is to implement third party process in Material management as we do not have SD Module.
    In this scenario, which material type we need to use (Item category group, Field ref, Sref material type and field ref) and the config part.
    Secondly, does it have any effect on MRP, Stock levels? Also please explain the process involved in Goods returns
    Appreciate, if you could share your experiences.

    Creating a Third-Party Item Manually
    To enter a third-party item in a purchase order without an SD order or purchase requisition, proceed as follows:
    Enter a third-party item manually in the same way as the purchase requisition.
    After entering the account assignment, you receive a screen in which you can enter the address of the sold-to party.
    Enter either the customer number or a delivery address.
    Check whether goods receipts can be made for the third-party item. Goods receipts are possible if the goods receipt indicator is set in the item.
    Save the purchase order.
    Setting the Goods Receipt Indicator
    The account assignment category X in the Customizing system of Purchasing determines whether a goods receipt can be posted for a third-party item. Here you define whether a goods receipt is possible, not allowed or compulsory.
    If a goods receipt is possible, the GR indicator in the purchase order item is changeable. When you enter the purchase order, you decide if a goods receipt is to be posted or not.
    Mat Type can be use ROH or Trading
    For Return you can do return to your plant or ask vendor to pivk and replace the goods or issue the creadite to customer and take from vendor

    Rebates Processs in SAP is divided into three components
    1) Configuring Rebates
    2) Setting Up Rebates
    3) Managing rebate agreeeements and payments
    Pre-requsiistes- Check the following:
    1.The payer partner needs toi have the rebate field checked in the customer master on the sales area-billing doc tab.
    2.The Billing type must be marked as relevant for rebates.
    3.The Sales Organisation must be marked as relevant for rebates.
    Condition Technique :
    Rebates, use the condition technique, but distinguish themselves from pricing in applying to transactions over time, versus on a transaction basis. Rebates have their wn field catalog and their own condition table naming convention.So you could have two condition table "001" one for pricing and one for rebates, which could have different key fields. You need to use the technical names A001 For pricing and KOTe001 for rebates when you use the query type using transaction SE 16..
    Use create access sequence (AS).  Enter 1 in field category for rebate specific.  AS after going thru the right path of maintaining access sequence for rebates.
    The big difference between the rebate and the pricing access sequence is that there is no exclsuion flag available for rebate related AS. This means multiple tables for an access sequence can be aplied at the same time.
    Rebate related condition types are identified by codnition class -C.
    After defining and creating condition types for rebated include them in the pricing proceedure. The requirement should be 24 here which implies that the accruals are calculated on the basis of invoice/bill.
    The other fields- alctyp and altcbv does not allow you to manipulate how a rebate is calculated. Also, remove the requiremnt 24, if u want to see reabtes at order time.
    Now payment of rebates:
    Payments can be maunal or in full settlement. When you do manual payments, it defines how much can be paid out during a partial settlemetn.  You use partial settlement only when rebate agreement is defined for a full year but the paoyouts are supposed to happen on a monthly, quarterly or anyother specified period.
    These accurals are based on sales volume and when they are posted billing is created int eh follwoing manner. Provision for accruals is debited and Sales revenue is credited. When rebate credit memo is created
       Customer account/ is debited and
       Accrual provision account is credited.
    Also, please note that when rebates are created without dependent ona material but on customer/material you need to refer to a material for settlement.

    What exactly do you wish to know in Rebates? The total outline of the Rebate process or each and every step in the SAP system?
    First of all rebates are more or less discounts which are offered to customers. The rebates are based on the volume of the business the customer does with you within a specified time. for eg if the customer agrees for Rs.1 Crore worth of business with u in 1 year, then you activate your rebate porocess. if at the end of the year the customer DOES achieve the target u offer him say 2/3/4 % whatever is decided. The rebates are passed on to the customer in the form of Credit notes.
    The rebate can be given to the customer at one time or in installments also.
    This is broadly the outline of the rebate process.

    1. define a rebate agreement type
    2. define a condition type group
    3. define a condition type and place this condition
    Type in the pricing procedure.(REQUIREMENT=24)
    ALSO IN THE PROCEDURE- ACCRUAL KEY = ERU
    YOU ALSO HAVE TO DO THE ACCOUNT DETERMINATION FOR REBATES.
    Once you have defined all the 3 and assignment starts.
    Assign the agreement type to the condition type group
    Assign the cond type group to the condition type.
    Condition technique is also used in rebates.
    REBATE ACTIVATION- IN CUSTOMER MASTER, SALES ORGANISATION AND FOR THE BILLING DOCUMENT.
    After having done this please proceed to maintain the condition record for the rebates (transaction code-vbo1)
    Note: if you maintain the requirement coloumn with the requirement as 24 - the rebate will be affected in the billing document and if you dont give the requirement as 24 your rebate will be affected in the sales order.
    The rebate process is completed when you have created a credit memo to the customer.
    The document type for the partial settlement is R3.
    Please make sure you open two screens SO THAT YOU CAN COMPARE THE NEW ENTRIES WHAT EVER YOU'RE DEFINING WITH THAT OF THE STANDARDS or first you try with the standard condition type boo1, boo2
    boo3 boo4.
    AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED A COMPLETE SALES CYCLE OF CREATION ORDER , DELIVERY AND BILLING.
    GO TO THE CONDITION RECORD IN CHANGE MODE (VB02) AND SETTLE THE ACCOUNT PARTIALLY.

    In a simple way,
    1. First you need to create a Rebate agreement.
    2. Create condition record for rebate giving the rebate rate and accrual rate.
    3. when the rebate relevent billing doc is generated, the rebate and accruals are determined and posted in a seperate GL account as a noted item - amount to be settled. Also it gets copied in the rebate agreement.
    4. create settlement run using credit memo request and then credit memo to settle this amount with the customer.

  • Issue on Indirect Sales Rebate Processing

    I am working on Indirect Sales Rebate Processing in ECC 6.0, I got Struck at Updating of Indirect Sales info structure S961 at Transaction RBT_ENH_GEN where in background Billing Documents has to be generated, which is not happenning.
    As this in High Priority, please someone help me in this regard.
    Will be appreciated for an Immediate reponse.

    The scenario with coupons / points is managed in SAP CRM and is part of Loyalty Management:

    I am sorry to say that the indirect sales rebate, extended or not, will not solve your need.
    Indirect rebates are used to credit distributors based on sales done on third-party customers (the customers of the distributors). These sales will be registered in SAP using a "pendulum list" and indirect rebate agreement give credit based on indirect sales volume (these are proforma billing documents generated from the pendulum list data).
    My understanding is that any company that wants to manage coupons / points natively in the SAP ERP has to program this functionality itself in the ERP or to interface SAP ERP with a specialized external application.
    SAP recommended solution is to implement SAP CRM, but IMHO that is an overkill for many medium size companies.
    I wish there would be a way to implement specific CRM functions natively in SAP ERP, like Trade Promotion Management or Points Management, so the Customer could stick with a single ERP / CRM system

  • Rebate processing conditions

    I am evaluating implementing rebate processing at my company.  I would like to know if rebate processing has any capability for the following...
    Customer X has a rebate program for 1% if they purchase 50,000 units of a group of materials. 
    In order to be eligble for the 1% on the 50,000, Customer X's purchases must include at least 3000 units of a specific material.
    Any way to do this inside of one rebate agreement?  My thought is you could set up one agreeement for 47000 not including the specific material and another for 3000 units for the specific material.  If the rebate agreement for the 3000 units is met, then decide to settle the one for the 47000? 
    This is a common program we want to be able to address through rebate processing so i want to ensure it is feasible.

    You can achieve this by Material Rebate based on Group of Materials.
    A rebate group consists of materials to which you want to apply the same rebate. You can define rebate group in Customizing for Sales according to the need of the orgn. You can assign a material to a rebate group in the MMR: view- Sales, field- Rebate Grp. When you create a cond record, you must enter a settlement material.

    Creating Device Categories in IS-U  
    Procedure
    1. Choose Utilities industry >> Device management >> Technology >> Device category >> Create.
    You branch to the initial screen for creating device categories.
    2. Enter the required data and choose a basic device category to be allocated to the device category. Chose Continue.
    - If a material exists for the device category specified, you branch to the screen Create Device Category: General Data. Go to step 3.
    - If no material exists for the device category specified, the Create MM Material dialog box appears.
    Here you can create a material in MM in the background. Processing is then continued on the next screen for device category maintenance.
    3. Enter further data for the device category and if necessary add additional basic device categories. Save your data.
    You branch to the initial screen for creating device categories.
    Result
    The device category was created in IS-U. In addition, a material master was created in the background.
    If you want to use all of the MM functions available, you must extend the material master you created in IS-U in MM.

  • Firefox won't start, profile manager won't start, but firefox.exe shows in processes list (task manager)

    Firefox will not start, even though it is listed in my processes in task manager. Can't get profile manager to start either.
    I have tried the following to no avail:
    - try to start FF in Safe Mode, doesn't load
    - started Windows Vista in Safe Mode, FF still does not load
    - turned off Kaspersky AV, FF still does not load
    - uninstalled FF, cleaned out user/####/AppData/Mozilla/Firefox folder, as well as ProgramFiles/Mozilla/Firefox folder, and cleaned our Registry manually from all references to Firefox. Downloaded FF 3.6.3, installed. still does not load
    - whatever i seem to do, does not fix the problem. When I try to start Firefox, no window appears. I can see the process starting in my task manager. I can "end process" and try to start the program again by double-clicking program icon. Process starts in task manager, but no app window appears.
    I am frustrated and have just wasted 2+hours of my night trying to get this to work. Downloaded Google Chrome, unless there is a fix for FF (which I would prefer to use), i will have to switch to Chrome.
    I can't pinpoint when this trouble started, but may have been after a recent Windows Update. I already did a System Restore to a restore point about 5 days ago (the oldest one available to me, and I believe that was before the FF trouble started). This has not helped either.
    I have run a full virus scan with Kaspersky and a Full scan with Windows Defender. Nothing came up.
    Anyone else been able to find a solution to this?

    I found a way to make it work somehow but not really fixing the error... one day when I got really pissed off because FF just won't open, I clicked the icon and killed the enter button, then multiple FF windows appeared. I tried to open it with just a single hit of the enter or double clicking but it won't work anymore, but repeatedly clicking the enter button (mine works with just 3 hits, sometimes 6) seem to open it. And until now, I have no technical explanation for this.

  • Firefox won't open. No error messages, no processes in task manager.

    Thought it might be an update issue as I was running FF 3.x when this issue started. I updated to 4.0 last night and it hasn't changed anything. FF opened and ran once, now not at all. No error message, no running process in task manager. Double clicking on the FF icon makes a busy icon, it shows in Task Manager, then goes away and never opens. Suggestions? =(
    No new software has been installed since this has occured, I've run anti-virus software, etc.

    Created Agreement Type with Material Rebate
    Created Rebate Pricing Procedure
    Created Schema Group, Vendor
    Maintained  Purchase Rebate Agreement via MEB1 and created a Purchase Order where I could able to view the Rebate condition type gets determined based on the rebate agreement which has been created for a specific material.
    Now from experts I would like to know the Volume based rebate arrangements Purchase Rebate Process with Vendor - Material Group combination in SAP .
    If required provide with detail steps explaining what configuration and master data to be in place to complete this process.

  • Unable to open PS Elements 11 once closed without Stopping the process in Task Manager

    Photoshop Elements 11 will not open once closed unless I either stop the Process in Task Manager or reboot the computer.  I have tried setting the program to run in Administrator mode but this did not work. I am running the program on a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop, the process I need to close each time is usually "Photoshop Elements Editor exe*32'?"
    Can anyone help me please?

    I want to ask a question related with best practice topics. What is the best way to manage the information generated by process execution?. Its ok to have a database different from the workflow database to store the most important data.
    I know this could be somethig redundant, but its easier to manage the data this way because managing an accessing the "BLOBs" in the workflow repository is not easy. Its there any advice in relation to this topic, any link or document ?

    What I'm missing also within Process and Task Management Facade is the link between ProcessInstance and related TaskInstances.
    I know I can get tasks for a user by Status or ID. But I see no way to get a set of tasks for a certain process Instance.
    Will Process and Task Management Facade also be enhanced for SAP NW CE 7.3 EHP1?
    Is it already known what new features will be available or is this information published during TechEd?
