Received and Issued quantity in same column in PLD.

Hello All,
I've created PLD for Inventory Valuation method, the problem is both the received quantity and issued quantity are display in the same column.
But I want it in different columns, that is received quantity in one column and issued quantity in another column. Please suggest how to rectify it in the PLd.

In the PLD, create 2 formula field in the repetitive area -
1. Field_141 > 0
2. Field_141 < 0
where Field_141 refers to the Quantity field.
3. Link the Quantity field to formula field 1 above. This way, the quantity field will show only the >0 quantity
4. Duplicate the quantity field. Set it as a separate column and link it to the <0 formula field.
Now this column will show qty > 0
Rename the column headings acc.

what is the report name for stock received and issues in a particular site/DC in a particular month.

You may use ME2W with selection parameter 'WA351' for open issue qty from DC and 'WE101' for open Goods Receipt by Store. Delivery and Document dates also in the selection screen.

How to show two amount (based on value type and entry code) in same column

Hi, I have to show two amount in the same column how can i do that...
For example there is
1) premium amount which depends upon the entry code lets say entry code 1000 = Premium amount .
2) Now there is another premium amount but this amount is stored on basis of value type ...let us say for value type 'prem' = premium amount .
these amount are in different field can i shown it in same column in BEx query.
If you can you please help .

use the selection criteria to restrict the field types in the query designer- use other variables to check the value
if it doesnt reconcile- you can alternatively use a multi provider for the same thing- that way you will get the same amount in 1 column and you could restrict using the infoprovider column

How to display integer values and decimal values in same column in a table

in my report amount column is there in that column integer values (2234) and decimal values (3562.34)
i want to print this values as 1000 separate as like 2,234 as integer and 3,562.34 as decimal
but this values print like 2,234.00 as integer and 3,562.34 as decimal

Per my understanding you have an field which data type may be "float" in the DB, so it have value which format like "2234" and "3562.34" in the same column, now you want to format them differently in the report, right?
I have tested on my local environement and you can use the expression in the custom format in the Textbox properties to do this:
Right click the field which you want to add the format and select the "Text Box Properties"
Select the "Number" on the left pane and using expression below in the Custom format:
=IIF(Split(Fields!yourfieldname.Value,".").Length=2,"#,###.##",Nothing)
Or you can just use "#,###.##" in the format.
Preview you will go the result like below:

Mix AVG and Total for the same column in ALV grid

Hi,
We are using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID=>SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY, and I'd like to know if the following situation is possible.
Let's say we have a column which contains a number of hours, and we set it up to subtotal by period, but as an average rather than a total (DO_SUM = "C"). This is not a problem so far.
The problem is that we'd like for the "Grand Total" at the bottom of the ALV grid to total all of the subtotal averages, instead of calculating an average.
Ex:
Period            Hours
2010/01           6.0
2010/02           7.0
2010/03           2.0
                5.0 (This is an average... 6.0 + 7.0 + 2.0 / 3)
2011/01          12.0
2011/02           5.0
2011/03           4.0
                7.0 (This is an average... 12.0 + 5.0 + 4.0 / 3)
            12.0 (We want this to be a total of 5.0 + 7.0)
So we want the "grand total" line to be 12.0 which is the sum, but it currently comes out as an average.
Therefore we're looking to average at the sub total level, but we want a total of the subtotal levels at the grand total level for the same column.

Refer to the suggestion given by Naimesh here Can we modify a sub-total in ALV making use of function GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR and the method GET_SUBTOTALS. You can see the parameter ep_collect01 refered in case of subtotals. Can you please check ep_collect00 for grand total in your case.

Receiver and transmitter on the same local port?

Hi,
Just got a couple of questions:
1. Is JMF 2.1.1e capable of using the same local port for receving and transmitting audio (say in PCMU), i.e. symmetric RTP?
2. If yes, then Im just facing a problem and once I assign the same local port, I end up with one-way audio, because my transmitter is not working for some reason... :( The way I create transmitter on the same local port as the receiver, is by reusing the same RTPManager that was created for the receiver on the first place. Is there anything I need to add to make it work properly?? Btw, the media code is borrowed from old SIP Comm project (just in case anyone knows, otherwise, ignore this).
I'd appreciate any help!

I found solution. There is an existing thread for this, actually :) Anyone interested, go to http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=589850&messageID=3064538
In short, i took AVReceive3, AVTransmit3 and RTPSocketAdapter files, created another class to start receiver and transitter (called it TempManager) and passed this TempManager in the arguments to both (like an owner or smth). Then transmitter is started first and saves created RTPManager's to the TempManager instance, and when receiver starts, it just takes already created RTPManager's from TempManager and uses them to initialize by itself... I just took a .wav file after that and played between accross local net between 2 hosts. Works really fine, however i still need to port all these into my app. :)

Query to display integer and decimal and integer in the same column

i have a column called units.. and i need to display either a integer in it if the value does not have any value after the decimal point .. so it shud be display as integer. But if it is a float then only display it with decimal values
like

Sorting Alpha and numerics in the same column

I need to sort a column first by alpha then numerics. If I use the ascending sort, the records appear in the following order:
01, 02, AA, BB, ZZ
If I use the descending sort option, I get the following:
ZZ, BB, AA, 02, 01
What I need is the following order:
AA, BB, ZZ, 01, 02, 03
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

What if you create a non printing sort variable field and append a 'Z' to the beginning of only the numeric fields.
IF Field is Numeric then append Z else just use field.
Then you sort ascending on the variable sort field instead of just the field itself. Im am not sure if it would put ZZ above Z01 but you can always add more Z's or play with it till it works.

$ and % signs in a same column

Hi all,
I have this requirement in which my report is full of facts.

I'm able to achieve this using Union of three requests.
Now the problem is that, I need to display $ sign for the first two rows and % sign for the third row.
I tried changing the data format under column properties to display the respective signs but it gets applied to one column as a whole, which is not desired in my case.
So i tried changing data format in each n every request and since i'm using union, i'm not able to do tat.
Any workarounds to achieve it..?

I want to confirm one thing from you... Income, Expenditure . Are these column headings or values?
If headings the...
It seems you should achieve this with Pivot view...
And need to drag Measure Labels into Rows block
And you need to apply data format of that column as $ or % whatever you want..
As you are saying you did union this would be done in Results set of criteria...

Primary key and Foreign key on same column

Hi, I am able to create below tables , primary and foreign keys as below.
But Is this valid design? Can I define a column (ckey2 in table "child") as
primary key and as well as foreign key?

Can I define a column (ckey2 in table "child") as primary key and as well as foreign key?You mean you want to define a one-to-one relationship between parent and child tables.. why would you want to do that ? You might as well merge the 2 tables into one.

Crystal Reports XI - How to pull same column value with different select...

I have a report with many (around 30) sub reports and it is giving serious performance issue. I am currently finding out a strategy to improve the performance. I see that most of the sub reports are taking same parameters from main report except for one parameter which is different for each sub report and hard coded in them and pulling up the same column value from a oracle database with a different select criterion. I am trying to find out a way using either of command/crystal formula/SQL expression which can do the same job for me and give me performance improvement. I tried to take the parameters from the main report in one sub report and mapped them to parameters being transferred to the command and then drag and drop the field for which I need to display the value but due to some reason it is not returning values when I am trying multiple commands...I need some help in selecting a strategy for this issue resolution and some guidance....Any help would be highly appreciated....

My version is 11.5.8.826. First of all I need to make it clear that I have 6 set of sub reports and each set has 5 sub reports. So if I can resolve the issue for one set, I resolve it for all. The sub reports are doing nothing but fetching a column value using a simple SQL SELECT query and appending to the right of a box in main report. The issue is that all these queries embedded into the sub reports are using same SQL except for one parameter in the "where" clause and they are fetching same column value from the database and fortunately all of them are returning same number of results. So at the end these results create a table when run. The only way I can stop using sub reports is by creating a table in the main report and use some object(formula/command/SQL expression or whatever) to fetch that column value using the same filter conditions. But please take a note that I need to use and append the same column value from a database table and use different filter conditions and append them to the right so that at the end they create a table...as long as I get the table in the output with a decent performance , anyone will be least bothered about what I used inside the report.....please ask me as many questions to get more lights on the issue....

Same column name from different table

i have a sql query as like this : "SELECT * FROM TABLE1,TABLE2". i use oracle. both TABLE1 and TABLE2 have the same column named 'COLUMN1'. while i get rows how i know the value of COLUMN1 from which table (TABLE1 or TABLE2).
sample code snippet is above. do u help me!

I case you don't know what an alias is, it would look something like this:
SELECT a.COLUMN1 as FirstColumn1, b.COLUMN1 as SecondColumn1 FROM FirstTable a, SecondTable b
Notice that in the FROM clause we've appended a short name for each table. You're not limited to one character, but I try to keep it simple. Now we can refer to the tables as a and b.
Because I did that I have to refer to any ambiguous columns (although it's good practice to refer to ALL columns) using the table name prefix and a period. This tells the driver which "COLUMN1" I want. Then we include as AS clause which allows us to tell the driver what we want that column name to be when it's returned to us. This is specially usefule when I have two columns in two separate tables with the same name (as you have here) or if I'm calculating data (i.e. (a.QTY * b.PRICE) as UnitPrice) that doesn't have a column name, so here I can give it one.
It's a little weird at first since you use the alias names in the select before you actually define them in the FROM clause, but you'll get use to it.
Now you retrieve FirstColumn1 and SecondColumn1 from your ResultSet, not Column1.

ALV List in the same Column for the row CELL i need button or value

Hi,
In my ALV list for the same column I need Button or Value for the different rows (CELL) depending upon my condition.
as well as I have to make read only of 3 rd column CELL based on my first column dropdown value CELL for this Row Only.
Depends upon the value in column 1 / row 2   I have to read only the CELL of   column 5 / row 2   ie for the same row.
Depends upon the value in Column 1/ row 3    I have to   EDITABLE or   Button   the CELL of column 5 / row 3 ie for the same row
How to do the logic for this.
I tried and got it for the entire column only.
But my requirement is for the sepecific cell in the column.
Kindly help to proceed further.

Here is how you can make a particular cell in the row read-only based on certain conditions.
In my example I am displaying the flight details in an ALV. Here I am checking the airline id and if it is "AA' I am making the cell in the column airline id as readonly. In my example I am putting a check and readonly on the same column. However you can do this for different columns as well.
In order to achieve this you need to add a new context attribute 'READONLY' of type abap_bool to the context node which is bound to data node of ALV.
The method where I populate the node has the following code to populate the data.
data: lr_input_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
        lr_flight_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
        lv_cityfrom   type s_from_cit,
        lv_cityto     type s_to_city,
        ls_from       type bapisfldst,
        ls_to         type bapisfldst,
