Receiving client feedback on a module in the cloud?

Hi there
Fairly new to this product, but would like to ask a question or two
As this is a PS/locally installed application is there a neat way of allowing clients to comment on the project as we go along and at critical releases eg. Alpha/Beta etc, but in the CLOUD (ie. in some way publish that module  that they could comment per page, rather that view the entire module and then receive their feedback as an email stating what changes they are looking for on Page 33, etc etc?
So many products eg. gomo, Elucidat,Edvantage etc etc are cloud-based development and collaborative applications which allows client access to review and comment of work.  Makes life so much easier duiring the dev and sign off phases
Thanks

Hi wendy,
1.In order to migrate (copy) an InfoPath form from one environment, you can export the InfoPath forms and install them in the Production server:
http://geekswithblogs.net/kjones/archive/2012/02/20/148764.aspx
2,3.For moving workflow, you can save the workflow as a template and export it as wsp, then deploy the workflow to Production server.
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/85410616-d893-4152-b786-0fd9d427d45d/move-sharepoint-designer-2013-workflow-from-development-to-production?forum=sharepointgeneral
4.For moving custom list views, you can save the custom list as templete with content, export and import the wsp solution.
5.Is your test environment  in the cloud? Is your Production environment in the on-premise?
Thanks,
Eric

  • Integrating Exchange Server in the cloud with Project / Sharepoint Server internal

    Hi,
I wonder how do I integrate service Exchange Server with Project Server 2010.
I have a Project Server 2010 you need to send emails with project updates and other integrations with Outlook.O standard procedure is to perform procedures (run commands in Exchange Server Shell) and create users in Project Server.
But I have a situation where my client uses a service exchange in the cloud and not a server for internal mail.
How do I integrate Project Server with Exchange this scenario where the mail server is an external service (cloud)?
I made the settings as the procedure () but got no success, no mail was received to be alert or reminder:
Below are the screens with the settings that were made.
    Crawl Resource Configuration (http://technet.microsoft.com/pt-br/library/ee806927(v=office.14).aspx)
    1) I Installed SMTP service on my server.
    2) I made the configuations above
    3) I configured the outgoing/Ingoing Setting in Sharepoint Central Administration

    Hi Marcelo,
Without providing the extended rights to project user, I dont think you will be able to successfully integrate project server with exchange cloud. Here is the technet article about how to integrate it with extended rights which needs running commands running
    on exchange server:

  • TDMS: is it possible to use sender and receiver client within the same SID

    Hi all
I have a general question about TDMS: i always read that it is possible to refresh data from a productive system/client to a test system/client, e.g. PRD100 => DEV100. But is it also possible to refresh data from one sender-client to the receiver-client inside the same system using TDMS, e.g. DEV100 => DEV200.
i'm asking because if i start to build up a new client using tdms the first step is to build up the client using package "ERP Initial Package for Master Data & Customizing". This includes under point "data transfer" the step "lock the system" with teh following description:
    Lock System
    Activities
During data deletion in the receiver client, the tables are dropped. All clients in the system are affected by this procedure. Consequently, all users in all clients in the receiver system must be temporarily locked while the data deletion takes place.
The function for this activity locks only the current client. If the receiver system is a single client system, it is sufficient to execute the function. If, however, the receiver system is a multi-client system, the user in the other clients must be locked using standard means.
Anyone has any experience with this scenario inside the same system?
    Regards
    Adrian

You can run TDMS package on the same system and between different clients. However SAP don't recommend to run TDMS package on the same system.
There are 2 ways to delete data in receiver system: Array delete and drop insert.
You have to use Array Insert only which is usually very slow as it first select all the relevant entries from the tables in the target client and then drop it. So, it is slow.
Drop insert is much optimized and fast but the same can not be used in this use case.
That is the reason SAP don't recommend to have TDMS run in same system.

    Hi Michelle ,
We are extremely sorry that you have had a bad experience with Adobe .
As far as your issue is concerned ,Acrobat generally prompts for internet connection as it is required to activate the product before you could use it comfortably .Once the product is activated or licensed you would be able to use the software offline .
This could be the possible reason you are experiencing this .Please check if you have done so and still facing this .And if you have not ,you need to license/activate your product by typing in your credentials ,i.e Adobe ID and password .
You could also refer the following link to get updated about the activation of your product .

  • I want to share my video edits with clients in the cloud but can't

I was under the impression I was able to easily share my video edits with clients for a simple seamless workflow. Upon trying this I learn that I am unable to share video files over the cloud. Why is this? and how can I do this? I know you use to be able to within premiere.
Does it need to be exported in a certain format or is it simply not supported to do this in the cloud.

  • Flash is not handled correctly with Firefox. In an Flash Environment modules are re-initialized if other embedded flash modules in the main one are rotating

We develop flash modules for clients. In the latest Firefox with the latest Flash Plugin it happens that flash components are affected when other components are rotating .
For example if you open one of our demo's
    http://www.crocon-media.com/?page_id=190&lang=en
and you click in the top on "MUSIC" a radio player will load. Before the Intro MP3 file is played completely, some modules that are embedded in that flash rotate, means they re-start. This never affected all other embedded modules but do now. The radio component simply stops playing. This does not happen in any Internet Explorer version and has worked with under Firefox before.

After putting those 2 flash components out the bundle we also see, that even if the rotating flash is loaded separately and another for example audio streaming flash module is running, once the stand-alone rotating flash module is starting back at frame 0 it affects all other flash modules on the same page, even if they are not connected to each other. This is a serious issue.

  • Soap Receiver adpater: HTTP 20 OK, canu2019t parse the document

    Hi Everyone,
The scenario is SAP ECC -> PI -> server (third party remote server).
Here the PI has to post the message (payload) which is coming from the SAP ECC to the third party remote server.
We have the soap receiver adapter to send the payload to the remote client system.
When we do the end-to-end testing, in RWB the soap receiver adapter is throwing an error
HTTP 20 OK, canu2019t parse the document
Any idea what might the error or any configuration we missed out.
    Thanks,
    Lalitkumar.

    Hi Stefan,
You mentioned that PI will be waiting response ,
The Web service has to respond an empty SOAP envelope, but it does not return anything.
Itu2019s fine if it is waiting for the response.
But when we logon to the server using different link (that the portal of the server) to which we submit the payload, none of the invoices is seen whenever we submit.
just a basic question, can we use the soap receiver adapter to post the invoices to external server (async scenario)
i had tried with the HTTP receiver adapter too, with that also facing the same problem.
kindly reply to that thread also...
    [unable to post the payload|successfully configured http receiver adapter, unable to post the payload;

  • How to add a created Z function module to the existing list in WE21

    Hi all,
There is some existing function modules ( like EDI_PATH_CREATE_CLIENT_DOCNUM ) in WE21 in the function module field.
here, i need to create one Z function module as per user requirement & want to add to that list.  is it possible???
actually, i want the file name format is like
" Document Number_YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.xml  ". but existing function modules are not giving this format.do anybody give any idea.
    correct answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks & Regards

    HI Pabitra,
Yes, can always change the existing fm and add it with message type as follows pls note step 7 and step 8. (for inbound it is we42 and for outbound it is we41 )
Basic IDOCs have supplied by SAP with standard structure. (Segments). You can extend them with your own segments.
IDOCs does have unique number. They contain control, data, and status records.
    Useful Transaction Codes:
    WEDI : IDoc Menu
WE02 : IDoc List (can enter IDoc number to select on)
    WE05 : IDoc List
WE19 : Transaction WE19 can be used to test the IDoc
WE30 : IDoc Type Development: Initial Screen
    WE31: Development Segments: Initial Screen
WE60 : Documentation for IDoc Types. This allows you to view the IDoc you have created.
WE81 : Display View ‘EDI: Logical Message Types’: Overview
WE82: Display View ‘Message Types and Assignment to IDoc Types’: Overview
    WE21 - Creation of POrt
    WE20 - Partner Profile creation
SALE - ALE (Application Linking and Enabling) settings
    For Outbound ALE Configurations: (Example)
IDoc definitions and necessary ALE configurations settings for the outbound .
Create Idoc segments – Transaction WE31.
Create Idoc type – Transaction WE30.
Create Message Type – Transaction WE81.
Assign Message Type to Idoc type – Transaction WE82.
    Create a distribution Model - Transaction BD64
An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
    for creating a IDOC
see the below steps for outbound processing IDOCS..
    2.1 Outbound Interface
    PROCESS DIAGRAM
    Outbound Interface
    1. Analyse Hierarchy Levels
    2. Create New segment
    3. Create New IDoc Type
    4. Create New Message Type
    5. Link Message with IDoc Type
    6. Create an entry in EDP13 via transactions WE20 and BD64
    7. Populate the Custom IDoc via ABAP Program
    7b Error Handling
    7c. Send Status Email
    8. Test the Population of the Custom IDoc
Step 1 – Analyse Hierarchy Levels:
Analyse the data relationships being processed in the interface. Define the appropriate hierarchical Parent-to-Child relationships.
    Navigate to transaction code WEDI
Transaction WEDI displays the IDOC main menu. This allows navigation around the various development and control areas to create a customised IDOC.
    Step 2 – Create a new segment:
via wedi : Development - IDOC Segments or Transaction code WE31.
    • Enter segment name and click on Create.
The? name of the segment type must start with Z1 , and have a maximum of eight characters.
    • Enter description and enter the relevant field names and data elements.
The segment should represent a structure in the program so for? each field in the segment a field name and a data element must be defined.
    • Save the segment and enter Person Responsible and Processing Person .
    • Go to Edit and Set Release.
    • Repeat this procedure for each new Segment in the IDOC.
Step 3 – Create a new IDOC Type
via wedi Development - IDOC Types or Transaction WE30.
    • Enter segment name (starting with Z), click on Basic Type and then Create.
    • Create as new, enter Person Responsible and Processing Person and enter description.
    • On ‘Create Basic Type’ screen decide where segments should be inserted and go to Edit/Create Segment.
    • Complete relevant fields in the Maintain Attributes screen:
    • From the relevant segments created in Step 2 enter the Segment type and if mandatory segment.
    • The Minimum and Maximum number of segments to be allowed in the sequence. (One minimum and one maximum if segment is mandatory).
    • The Parent Segment and Hierarchy Level will be automatically created depending on where in the IDOC tree you decided to create that particular segment.
    • Repeat this process for each segment needed in the IDOC type, deciding whether to add the next segments at the same level or as a ‘Child’.
    • When IDOC created return to initial screen. Go to Edit and Set Release.
    • Go to Transaction WE60 to view the IDoc Type you have created.
Step 4 – Create new Message Type
via wedi Development - Message Types or Transaction WE81.
    • Display/Change and click on New Entries
    • Create a new Message Type and Save.
Step 5 – Link Message Type to IDOC Type
via wedi Development - IDOC Type/Message or Transaction WE82.
    • Display/Change and then click on New Entries.
    • Enter Message Type, Basic Type (IDOC Type) and Release (46C) and Save.
Step 6 – Create an entry in EDP13 via transactions WE20 and BD64.
The partner profile for the Idoc must be set up and generated in the transaction BD64 and transaction WE20.
    • WE20 – Add Message Type to appropriate Partner Type, Enter Message Type, Receiver Port and Idoc Type and Save.
    • BD64 – Create a Model View, Enter Sender and Receiver Ports, Attach Message Type. Go to ‘Environment’ on Menu and click on Generate Partner Profiles and generate (not save) profile.
Step 7 – Populate the custom IDOC via ABAP Program
See Test Program ZOUTBD_IDOC_TEMPLATE, Appendix IV.
    • Create an Internal Table for each segment type, this should be exactly the same structure as the segment type.
    • The control record is filled into a structure like EDIDC. The message type and the Idoc type for the Idoc must be populated into the eddic structure.
    - PERFORM populate_Control_structure USING c_mestyp
    c_SEGMENT_type1.
    • The data segments are filled into a structure like edidd-sdata; sdata and the segment name are populated into the edidd structure.
    - PERFORM transfer_Parent_data_to_seg.
    • The standard SAP function module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE is called to pass the populated IDOC to the ALE Layer.
    - PERFORM master_idoc_distribute.
    • NOTE: This function module is only called for stand alone programs and Shared Master Data programs (SMD). It is not called when using extensions or output determination.
    • The ALE Layer handles the sending of the IDOC to the receiving system.
    • Error Handling (see Step 7b).
    • Commit work.
Project SpecificStep 7b – Error Handling
    • Analyse which fields in the interface are mandatory for the receiving system and who needs to receive error notification.
    • Declare a structure of type ‘MCMAILOBJ’ for sending instructions.
    • Enter values for the internal table based on structure ‘MCMAILOBJ’
    • For selection processes, on SY-SUBRC checks and where fields are mandatory for the receiving system; insert Function Module ‘MC_SEND_MAIL’.
    • Enter values in the following parameters: -
    MS_MAIL_SENDMODE = ‘B’ (Batch Mode)
    MS_MAIL_TITLE = 'Mail Title'
MS_MAIL_DESCRIPTION = ‘Error description’ (e.g. MATNR not given)
MS_MAIL_RECEIVER = ‘Name of Receiver’ (To be determined)
    MS_MAIL_EXPRESS = ‘E’ (Express Delivery)
    MS_MAIL_DLINAME = Leave Blank
    MS_MAIL_LANGU = 'E' (Language)
    MS_MAIL_FUNKOBJ_NAME = Leave Blank
    TABLES
    MS_MAIL_CONT = I_MCMAILOBJ
    Note:
It has to be determined separately for each interface how these errors and mail notifications are to be grouped – dependant upon the number of errors that are potentially likely. One possible approach is to send an email for each reason for rejection and include all the records that failed for that reason in the mail notification. Another possible approach is to send an email for every failure.
When error checking for mandatory fields it is common SAP practice to reject a record on its first failure (irrespective of subsequent errors in that record)
    <b>Step 7
    (Transaction WE57)
Assign the custom function module to the IDoc type and the message type.
Set function module to type ‘F’ and direction ‘2’ for inbound.
    Step 8
    (Transaction WE42)
Create a new process code and assign it to the function module. The process code determines how the incoming IDoc is to be processed in SAP.</b>
    Step 9
    (Transaction BD67)
Assign the function module to the process code created above. Got to ‘New Entries’ and enter the process code and the function module name.
    Step 10
    (Transaction WE20 and Transaction BD64)
Create a partner profile for your message and ensure that in transaction WE20 the process code is the one that points to your function module. (See step 6 of creating Outbound Idocs).
    Step 11
Ensure that error handling functionality is present.
If u still have doubt, i can send u the print screen doc -  hope this helps u

  • Manage more than one news module in the same website

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to manage more than one News module in the same website and have them all display different content.
Like a news module in the News section displaying announcements and a press section module displaying press related news f. e.

    Hello
    Possible: yes
    Recommended: no
This can certainly be done and Discoverer will not prevent you from having reports that use different business areas as you describe.
However, for management and security purposes it does not make for ease of use. As you know a user has the ability to share a workbook with another user. If they do this then ALL reports within that workbook are shared. If the receiving user does not have access to one or more of the business areas then some reports will run and some will not. This can be very confusing to an end user and a possible nightmare to administer.
My recommendation would be to have a workbook per business area and not mix.
If there is more than one business area per functional area, for example sales and returns, then so long as the users have access to both business areas then you could use a common workbook.
Personally I would not even do this, so my strongest advice would be to have all reports in a workbook written against the same business area.
    Hope this helps
    Michael

  • LR web gallery w/ client feedback function?

Probably been asked before, but I can't find it in the search feature, so sorry in advance if this bugs you.
I'm a 20 year user of Photoshop but new to LR. I shot a project for which I am using LR to do my selects and basic adjustments. I need to put my adjusted images in front of my clients with a web gallery that would allow them to make their selects, tag the files with ranking, and leave text comments if they wish. There are about 2000 images in this project.
Photoshop used to have a (barely usable) automated web gallery that allowed for client feedback in text. Is there something like this in LR? Is there a light box function in a web gallery?
Is it built in, our do I have to spend more money to get something that should have been in the product in the first place? (sorry for the mini-rant)
    Craig

    Victoria,
I would argue that a relatively high percentage of professional photographers would like to have this feature to be able to get feedback from clients. I don't agree that it would be generally considered bloat. Among commercial photographers, photo-journalists, and probably wedding photographers I would argue that the ability to create a web gallery that facilitates feedback from a client, or an editor's desk, has a greater level of value than does having 20 different gallery layouts with various transitions between slides, and cozy color palettes. I do see the value of that variety, but I'd like to see a little more utility also.
Even Photoshop, up to version CS3, had the ability to make a gallery with feedback option. Each image in the gallery had a text box that essentially acted like a Submit button. All comments a viewer made were compiled in an email and the comments were tagged with the image number/name. The gallery was cramped and ugly, but the feature was very useful.
While the TTG Client Response Gallery plug-in looks like it fits the bill, it also requires more of a learning curve than I would like. It also requires making sure my ISP has the correct version of PHP and the correct type of Apache server – certainly more than a basic HTML solution.

    >>*can central and receiver system would be same????
No. Central and Sender system could be the same but central and receiver system cannot be same, becuase at the time of data deletion it used the shadow technique, first it deletes all the data from receiver system then create the data into all the clients except the receiver's buisness client. So it could not be same.
This is a wrong forum for TDMS related question. Post your query on TDMS Section
