Receiving error about missing VulcanControl.dll when starting Photoshop or Premiere CC

When i start Photoshop CC or Premiere CC it prompts CEPServiceManager telling me I am missing VulcanControl.dll and therefore the program can't be started.
Everything worked fine untill yesterday I installed Speedgrade CC and updated After Effects CC
In the Creative Cloud is now no longer lists Photoshop CC and Premiere CC as one of my apps
The strange thing is, I can't delete Photoshop or Premiere also.
What the .... went wrong and what can I do about it.
I'm in the middle of an importand project I have to finish tomorrow.
With kind regards,
Brian.

  • PE7 (& 8) error message missing adobepsl.dll when writing to disc

I have been using PE7 exclusively even though I purchased PE8 since it didn't work on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.  I edited a video without any problems like usual and when I went to write it to a disc, it wouldn't write and I got an error message that it was missing or error occurred in adopepsl.dll.  This was on the Windows 7 laptop.  I then moved the files to a Vista laptop and tried it there but got the same error message.  I read a lot of forums and articles here and so I created a new user specifically for PE8  on the Windows 7 laptop and installed PE8.  I tried to write the project to the DVD and once again I got the same message.  As a last resort, I created a new user on my XP desktop and installed PE7 since I knew that I had successfully worked with that one for almost 2 years without a hitch.  I got the same error message on the XP:
AppName: adobe premiere elements.exe AppVer: 7.0.0.0 ModName: adobepsl.dll
    ModVer: 11.0.0.1656 Offset: 000e0c83
Since it was three different computers and three different systems and I never had problems before either laptop before, I am extremely confused as to why all three separate computers would be missing the same exact file and get the same error message.  I installed them directly from the DVD that I purchased new and had used it to install onto the laptops when I intially started using the program and then when I purchased the second (windows 7) laptop.  And then to have it also happen with the PE8, which was also bought new but never used since it wasn't working on the Windows 7 laptop.  (No, I did not update it since I went back to the PE7 because I knew that worked and I was in the middle of another project at the time and didn't want to jeopardize my project or my usage of the laptop.)
How is this possible that all three computers (and the PE8) are all having trouble burning to the DVD?  Is it possible that it's a program disc problem but then why would the PE8 have that same problem?
desktop info (laptops are off and I'm exhausted after having dealt with this for over 12 hours):
    windows XP
processor: intel pentium 4 cpu 3.00 ghz (2cpus)
    memory: 1.37 gb RAM
Any suggestions?  Unfortuanately, I'm not as "techy" as the rest of you.
    Thanks.

Thanks Steve.  I checked that article and I already do everything on all machines in your article except #4 of weekly and #1 of monthly.  I have read your articles over time and have always found them informative.  I've also gone to your website for information.
I do not have Adobe Bridge or Creative software.  How do I correct all three machines so that it will write to a DVD?  How do I get that file back?
    Thanks.

  • Error -17501 flxCVIadp.dll when starting CVI full featured user interface on Windows 7

We see the following error dialog when we launch the CVI full-featured user interface (TestExec.exe):
    "Error:
Unable to load test environment adapter 'flxCVIadp.dll'. Run setup to re-install or remove this adapter.
Could not connect to TSAutoMgr.exe server. DCOM permissions might be incorrect because of configuration changes for remote execution.  To fix this issue, ensure that the current user is in the default DCOM access permissions or that no users are in the access permissions section of the dcomcnfg.exe dialog box.  You can use the dcomcnfg.exe program, located in the Windows System directory, to change DCOM access permissions.
Error code: -17501, Unexpected Operating System Error."
When this error happens, we can't run any calls to CVI code from within the User Interface.
We are running Windows 7.  We don't see the error if we run TestExec.exe from the default location:
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2013\UserInterfaces\Full-Featured\CVI
We get the error message if we copy the CVI directory to somewhere else on the C:\ drive (C:\MyUserInterface for example).  The error happens when we run TestExec.exe directly, but it does not happen if we are already running Labwindows/CVI and we launch TestExec.exe from CVI.
We are seeing this error with both TestStand 4.2.1 and TestStand 2013 running on different PCs.  This error happens on Windows 7, but not Windows XP.  Though we get the same error with our custom user interface, we see the same error with the stock CVI full-features user interface provided by NI.
Any ideas about why we can run this from the TestStand directories, but not any directory on our C:\ drive?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
Based on the error messages it looks like this might be a Windows 7 security issue, which would be why it doesn't occur on XP since security is handled differently in that OS. Have you gone into dcomcnfg.exe and checked the DCOM permissions as described in the error message?

  • TS3074 error message 'missing MSVCR80.dll' when trying to open iTunes

Using Windows XP was unable to successfully download the newest version of iTunes on 30 January 2014. iTunes will not open on either of two PCs, a desktop and a Laptop. Reveived error message 7 (windows error 126). Tried several times, even uninstalled program and tried a new download.
    Anyone else having this problem?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

-1.The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto.

  • Two Fatal Error Messages when Starting Photoshop

When I tried to start Photoshop CS6 Extended 64 bit today (out of the blue) I received two error messages and the program would not open:
    1. Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered.
    2. Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted).
I thought it had something to do with maybe deleting a monitor calibration file as I think there might have been a third message about that (who can remember all of this), so I recalibrated the monitor and the two message above continue and the program will not start.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Kent

    Sounds like general preferences corruption.
You will likely need to go through the three-key preferences deletion process in order to get Photoshop functioning again.
Press and hold Control, Shift, and Alt simultaneously immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop.  If you're quick enough to get the keys down, it will prompt you to delete all current preferences, which will lead to a reset of all preferences to defaults.

  • Getting error message when starting Photoshop CS3

I am getting the following error message when starting CS3:
"This application has failed to start because CML4.dll was not found."
The window title is, "Photoshop.exe - Unable to Locate Component"
Of course, the only button to push is the "OK" button (which should probably read - Something's f-d up. Press here to continue.) After pressing the OK button, CS3 starts and works without issue - so far.  I guess I haven't actually used the part of the program that uses CML4.dll or just don't see any difference with or without it.
How can I resolve this issue - without reinstalling PSCS3? and why does it happen in the first place?

Nikon Scanning Software has CML4.dll as part of its package.  I assume that the Nikon software did not install/uninstall properly and is causing the error.  I have not gone back to do Nikon scans within Photoshop so I do not know if it affects performance. McAfee does not flag it as a virus, and other websites I referred to indicated no viral activity associated with the file.

  • Error "500 Connection timed out" when starting a Web Interface

    Hello,
    when starting a Web Interface
(either from preview in Web Interface Builder or directly via transaction BPS_WIF0),
after around 2 minutes I get the following Error Message: "500 Connection timed out"
(in Detail, it says "Connection to partner timed out").
If I use a less complex web interface, this error does not come up.
What can I do to avoid this?
    Thank you in advance,
    Stephan

    Hello Stephan,
if a basic web interface is fast enough, this is normally a confirmation, that the problem does not depend on network performance. We do this test always as an initial test to exclude network issues before we analyze BPS.
So it looks like you do have BPS performance issues. What I can tell you is that multiple variable selectors decrease performance. If this is not you problem I would recommend to check how-to-paper "performance".
It could be related to HTTP-services as well, you will find SAP notes about this topics in OSS.

  • Does SAP create missing files TRACExx when starting up?

    Hi there,
I'm working on a documentation regarding a system copy from a productive system to a consolidation system.
We're using Sun Solaris 10/64Bit with Oracle 10g2 and Netweaver 7.00.
In the directory /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS_xx/log there are several files SAP uses:
    - ALALERTS
    - ALMTTREE
    - ALPERFHI
    - ENQBCK
    - SLOGxx
    - TRACE
    - TRACE00...TRACE07
My question concerns the TRACE-files. Only the file TRACE seems to be used by the consolidation system, but there are still eight files TRACE00 up to TRACE07 that were last accessed in 2008 and before.
These files are filled with data from former consolidation systems that got overwritten everytime by the system copy. Now, after the new copy, the SAP system is still down. May I delete these files? Does SAP create these files new when starting up?
    Greetz, Uwe.

    Hi,
Yes you can delete those files at any time. Check SAP Note 16513, it may help you.
    Thanks,
    Sushil
