Recent issue....

so i need help with something stupid.... whenever i watch a movie, whether off a dvd or the ones i rent from iTunes the video is a bit out of sync from the audio... meaning the lips move too fast or too slow compared to the audio...
and no, these movies i talk about are original american, not dubbed or anything like that,
what can i do to resolve this?? it happened recently,
i tried to start my computer from the recovery to do the repair of both the disk and the permissions but nothing

I'm having the exact same issue you describe. Everything was fine for months, upgraded to 10.4.10 now the laptop drops off at night even though the connection signal is fine. A reboot of the airport extreme fixes the issue.
Sounds like this is becoming a wider known issue as I'm seeing it pop up in more and more posts.

You can help us fix the problem by continuing to report issues on the forums. When you do report an issue it helps us to have the following pieces of information.
1) The toolset and version being used to upload content (are you using the old content bundler workflow or the new Folio Producer)?
2) If you are using the Folio Producer, have you used the acrobat.com backdoor to modify the folio?
3) Did you cancel any uploads while others were in progress? see a network outage, or a failure during upload?
4) Do you see any pattern of particular content type that is causing errors?
5) Account ID (so we can search our logs for failures)
6) Any failure codes or messages
We may reach out to you directly and ask for content and other information so we can attempt to replicate your situation from our side.
Secondly, we need to improve our communication channels now that the product is being released to a wider audience. We need to do a better job explaining the compatibility matrix between the various parts of the solution. Many of you upgraded to the recent authoring release without understanding that the viewer in the Apple store that supported V13 was not available. Due to the lengthy approval time to get our viewer through the Apple process, we’ve never held back the other parts of the solution waiting for the viewer to be available in the Apple store. Other platform vendors have a much shorter approval process. We prefer to get the tools into the hands of our customers as soon as they are ready. Long time users of the solution understand the interaction and the upgrade process. We will do a better job explaining these scenarios to newer users of the tools. We are working on expanding the channels of communication to educate our users, sales and support staff of these interactions.
Thirdly, some users are asking for the return of desktop folio production and control without going to the cloud. We are actively working on features that re-enable these work flows while also addressing the security concerns of our larger publishers. Some of these features include the ability to author disconnected folios, and push to the cloud at a time of your choosing and the ability to preview content on a locally connected device. This does not mean we are re-enabling the Apple concept of side loading, where you import a local .folio file into the Adobe Content Viewer via iTunes. We are actively working on these features but I can not share when they will be available to customers just yet. If you are a customer who has purchased the Digital Publishing Suite, you may contact your reseller or Adobe Account Manager to participate in roadmap briefings.
Fourth, the ability for pre-release customers to manipulate .folio content through the Acrobat.com organizer was a bug. It was not a feature of the product. Digital Publishing customers get access to the suite of services through Digitalpublishing.acrobat.com. We built a specific set of tools and UI around the production tasks of editing metadata, arranging article order and interaction with our distribution service. Those services use Acrobat.com as infrastructure to enable this functionality. Moving forward, Digital Publishing will continue building a customer experience tailored to production tasks and disabling any back door access through the Acrobat.com organizer. Fixing this bug has surfaced features that our customers would like see in the Folio Builder panel. We are working on adding article ordering and a better Digital Publishing sharing experience to our creative customers through the Folio Builder Panel.
I hope that this message clarifies our current status, priorities and addresses concerns that Adobe isn’t listening to the concerns of its customers. I hope that you continue using the product and continue expressing yourselves on the pre-release and product forums. We are listening and actively working toward building a better product.

Recent issues with already downloaded movies redownloading on thier own

This appears to be a recent issue. But I have purchased and downloaded the following movies:
How to Train Your Dragon
How to Train Your Dragon 2
ParaNorman
These movies downloaded fine. No problems with them downloading or with playback. I have been having trouble downloading GOTG. (Nice to know I am not the only person.) This morning I start up iTunes and the above listed movies started downloading again. I have been having some issues with the recent versions of iTunes. Problems that I have never had before. Starting with iTunes 11 and continuing with iTunes 12, it seems to be losing track of what I have purchased. Ignoring what is currently in my Library and re-downloading already downloaded material. This cluttering up my Library with duplicate files I can't seem to get rid of. In some cases I am afraid to delete the duplicates. No telling what the impact will be. Does anyone know a way to stop this? Or is this the new normal with iTunes. I had been considering limiting myself to just digital downloads. But with some of this strange behavior in the part of iTunes I will continue to purchase Blu-rays or DVDs for the foreseeable future.

This new version fixes the following issues (changes to this version in bold):
MsiInstaller repair & errors on first run as non-admin (removes 'AppData' directory entries)
DCOM errors once Shockwave is installed (adds double quotes to the beginnning of LocalServer32 value)
Incorrect TypeLib paths in the registry (fixed to use built-in [SystemFolder] property)
Default CLSID description value missing (set to 'Shockwave ActiveX Control', as per the executable installer)
Incorrect Shockwave 10 paths in the registry (fixed to use built-in [SystemFolder] property)
Misspelt 'OptionalComponets' registry key (renamed to 'OptionalComponents')
Missing .dcr, .dir, .dxr Content Type registry values (included in the executable installer)
Fixed incorrect AppID registry key (set to use installer's [VERSION] variable)
Removed 'Launch SWDNLD.exe' shortcut created in Programs subfolder (people don't want this - see here)
I have tested this on my network and it all seems to work fine. Unfortunately my original plan to use the executable installer didn't work out as it does not include the Shockwave 10 compatibility components described here and here, so it looks like I'll have to keep this MST file up to date with the latest versions until Adobe fix the problems themselves...
If you want to see the changes that I have made, load up Adobe's 11.5.6.606 MSI file in Orca, then use Transform / Apply Transform to apply the MST, and look for the entries in green.

Situation: A customer subscribes to an iTunes subscription. Does he get the moste recent issue of the magazine even this issue was published before starting the subscription? Or what would be the solution here to get the most currenct issue when you buy a subscription?

Haeme, when a subscription is purchased the most recent issue will be granted to the user, even if the publication date is before the purchase date of the subscription.

Recent issue on multiple PCs: Preview and Export flicker/banding/moire effect

Recently we discovered one of our PC's flickering and banding in the preview window during playback and on exports. Shortly thereafter, the same issue appeared on another workstation. What we are seeing is a variation of issues that include but are not limited to the following within the preview window and more importantly in our renders:
Flicker - Video changes in brightness
Moire effect - Can see a cross-hatch pattern during playback
Banding - You can clearly make out horizontal or vertical lines, or sometimes both.
Seeing layers beneath 100% opacity layers. When two layers are stacked with footage, you can see the footage below as if the top layer is at 97% despite the actuality of it being at 100%.
These issues exist on multiple machines with differing specs, in all projects. This is neither a project or machine-based issue. All effects removed from clips within the timeline; source footage looks great in standalone player. These issues occur with a new project with a blank color matte.
Just spent 3+ hours in live chat with an Adobe Rep who remotely team-viewed to see the same issues testing project base solutions to no avail. Everything was tested from render containers/codecs, local vs server, project managing, cache clearing, etc. These same projects did not exhibit these issues a week ago.
All of these situations lead me to believe that this is a Premiere issue, something changed with how Premiere is handling our files and this is a huge issue. We are unable to deliver finals to clients due to this problem.

Ran some tests. Wiped everything with Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Reinstalled the previous iteration of CC (not 2014), version 7.0.0 base. The issue exists here as well. Updated it to 7.2.2, same thing. Wiped everything again with the cleaner tool, installed CC 2014 Base, 8.0.0 and had the same issue, updated to current version no difference. These issues did not always exist, this is of recent coming.
We are running multiple Windows 7 and 8 machines at 64-bit. Their hardware varies per computer and all produce the same results.
We are having to make all renders from ONE mac that does not exhibit the symptoms described in the first post. This is HUGELY restricting to our business and we are having to wait on queues of renders to deliver due to this.

Importing AVCHD Recent Issues

A few weeks ago I could import my AVCHD videos files from my Canon Camera into final cut 10.1.3 with no issues. Just recently, I can not longer import. I can see the canon and view the videos under the finder, but FCP and iMovie no longer allow me to import my movies
I am not sure if I made any updates to any settings, but I am sure I did since its no longer allowing me to import. Attached is a screen shot of what the import looks like.

In the Region Inspector on the left of your Arrange you find a little box labeled "follow tempo" - if you untick that box the Audio will play at the original speed.

Recent issues downloading RAW images to iPhoto from EOS 40D

Hi,
I've been using iPhoto to process RAW images from my EOS 40D for ages without any issues, but I'm now getting an error message saying it can't import the files from the camera as they are in an unknown format. I've reinstalled iPhoto, but no change. I can't recall the last update to iPhoto, but I get the feeling it was fairly recent, and this may coincide with that. Is anyone else having the same problem, or has anyone got any ideas?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Is anyone having "recent" issues with bluetooth connectivity on iPhone 4?

I haven't been using headset for a couple of months, but it is fully charged and paired. I started using it again recently, and as close as the phone on left hip, and headset in right ear, it gets choppy, or drops out. It even disconnects when I lay on my couch. The phone is on my chest, headset in right ear. I turn my head to the right so only my head is between the two devices. Last I checked, I didnt have a metal plate in my head!
I have iOS 5.01. ProPlantronics Headset (for phone calls). And Philips SHB6100 (for music). I have noticed cutout on the Philips headset while at the gym as well.
Just an observation: I didn't have this problem prior to iOs5.0.1

Just got off chat with Apple help desk. "Hope" told me solution is to do a complete network reset. (settings/general/reset/reset network settings) That would reset all your wifi and bluetooth passwords and pairings.
I read that turning off wifi helped the Motorola S10-HD cutout issues. I tried this and it did eliminate it. And now I have turned wifit back on (but do not currently have a wifi connection active) and the issue has not returned. I will check later when connected to wifi if the issue returns.

I've had a recent issue with downloading songs from the store, and they won't show up in my iTunes library, only in my purchased playlist. Anyone know how to get recent purchases to show in the music library?

when you play the CD in your laptop on your home screen a Cd should pop up under the name of the album. Than when you open itunes it will probly say something like "let this CD download" or something like that. If it doesn't than automaticlly while the CD is importing to your itunes a page will pop up with a progess of the CD download.

Has anyone had recent issues with iCloud mail and Outlook 2011?

Two days ago without warning when sending an e-mail from Outlook 2011 from a MacBook Pro running 10.8. (Have a .mac account), I had an error pop up, see below.
Tried entering the password but the same error popped up. Thought there might be an error with the keychain so verified and ran a repair. Still the error continued. I checked that the password was still working and logged into iCloud. I then launched Mac Mail and this worked fine and so also my iPhone / iPad etc. Nothing I did made it possible to send e-maills from my .mac account although I could receive them.
For the last couple of days I have been using my MacBook AIr for sending mails for the same account via Outlook 2011. This has been working fine all day until 25 mins ago when the same error message popped up on this Mac too. Went through the same set of tests and again Mac Mail works and so does the password.
Have tried to Google for a solution but can't find anything relevant. Could this be Microsoft trying to cause problems for Apple users, some rogue update, iCloud security certificate issue, or something more sinister. Any suggestions for a fix gratefully received, as currently I can't use Outlook 2011 on either Mac.

I am also having big trouble syncing my iCloud acc. I am able to send email, but i cannot recieve any. I have tried almost everything. I have tried using p01, p02, p99 servers, without solving the problem. I have tryed typing "INBOX" and "/" in IMAP root, still not working. Have anyone got a solution?

HT1338 Suddenly I can't download pdf files or many images from the internet on my macbook air. It is up to date and this is a recent issue.

My macbook air was purchased last September and has been pretty reliable. But recently I stopped being able to down pdf files from the internet - nothing opens. Also, many images do not download and I have trouble getting onto a wireless system I've been using at work. Can anyone tell me what this is?

In addition to Flash, you might need some other plugins. Microsoft videos are mostly in Silverlight, and you'll want Flip4Mac to play WMVs. Perian contains codecs for pretty much every video online.

Recent issue - AEBS keeps needing to be restarted

I've been using my AEBS for two years now with no difficulties.
Last week, there was a problem with my ISP - down for around an hour - and since then, I need to restart the AEBS almost everyday.
It appears to lock up. Green light remains on, but no connectivity either by wireless or ethernet. Airport utility won't read the configuration whilst it's in this state.
My ISP (Virgin) say there's nothing wrong at their end.
I've tried turning off my cable modem, and leaving it off for 30mins, then powering up AEBS. All seems fine, then it hangs again after a day or so.
One other thing - twice, I've had the following message:
"Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address (10.0.1.198)."
Never had this message before.
I'm using 7.3.2 and 10.6.2

AEBS ..can take the modem out of it and plug it in directly and it's fine...but

Site merger won't let me view recent issued cert

I had an automatic certificate for $25 dollars issued today and cannot view it on the best buy website or the app. I know the managment of the RZ on bestbuy.com is new is there any estimation on when I can view this certicate on bestbuy.com or use them on bestbuy.com?

Are there recent issues with iPhone Mail?

I am having MOUNTAINS of mail problems recently on my iPhone 4. The biggest, is that if I get more than 20 email messages, I have to turn the phone off and back on to read or delete them because it's like the phone has too many. Before you ask, there are NO other programs running in the background.
Second, messages I delete today, will show up again later this afternoon or tomorrow. Randomly I'll get messages from a week ago that show up as new messages. No, these DON"T show up on my Mac or other mail clients I use.
Third, occasionally I will get a message that can't be deleted. It will either just stay around or will say "No subject". Again, I have to turn the phone off and back on to fix it.
I do know a couple of other people that are experiencing the same thing. Any ideas? I'm running whatever the latest and greatest IOS version is. I always upgrade when suggested.

I meant the e-mail provider. Not your cellular provider. As for why you would only have the problem on the phone, not on your iPad or macBook or mac, if you would have answered the question as to how it's set up, I could start making intelligent suggestions. Since you seem to want something to just pull something out of their butt instead of providing anything resembling even marginally useful information with which to troubleshoot, I'll suggest you see the Tarot card reader down the street. That or get off your high horse and answer the questions that the people you came here trying to get help from feel would be useful in troubleshooting the problem instead of acting like you know what's most important. If you knew that, you wouldn't be here asking for help.
