Reciever IDoc Configuration.

Hi All,
I've a doubt which is like:
1) In IDoc Sender: We don't need a Sender Agreement, Sender Communication Channel as IDoc resides in ABAP stack i.e. it can interact directly with the Integration Server (Reason 1) Is there any other reason for it?
2) In IDoc Receiver: We need a Receiver Agreement and also Receiver Communication Channel. I wanted to know if there is any specific reason for it.
Kindly guide me resolving this query.
Regards,
Sreedhar.

Hi Rajesh,
Is there any other reason for not having a Sender Communication Channel & Sender Agreement for a Sender IDoc other than that it resides in ABAP stack which directly interacts with Integration Server.
Regards,
Sreedhar.

  • Why reciever idoc configuration?

Why we require receiver idoc adapter configuration as communication channel ,as idoc adapter runs on Integration engine?

    Hi,
The IDoc adapter converts the IDocs to IDoc XML format so that they can be processed by the Integration Server pipeline.
Hence it is requird at Receiver side.
Refer the section of Integration in below link which shows the flow with screen shots.

I have found the IDoc for Production Order
Messgae Type : LOIPRO and IDoc type : LOIPRO01
Actually my requirment is to send the (LOIPRO01 )IDoc from SAP R/3 to XI system ,when ever the Production Order Created and Changed,
    I have done following Configurations:
    1. RFC Destination created for XI system
    2. PORT was created for XI
    3. Partner profile created WE20 and LOIPRO01 IDoc is added in OutBound Perameter.
I need to know how to do the followning.
    1. How do i configure the outbound Production order idocs when Production Order is created or changed.
    2. in NACE (Output control) which is the Application for Production Order.
    3. How can I set IDoc as output Type for Production Order Creation.
    Thanks in advance
    Dhanabal T

    Hi Michal,
I know that it is the old thread but still want to get clarified from you out of curiosity.
Unlike other IDOC, i actiavated change pointers for LOIPRO
1.message and idoc type is linked
2.function module , message type , idoc type is linked
    function module used is CLOI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_LOIPRO
3.BD64, distribution model is created and distributed
    4. port and partner profile is in place.
    5. IDOC is not getting generated after creating the process order.
do we need to activate the change documents for the message type in BD52,
if yes can you please provide the object types for the same.
or i am missing something else. please guide me in this regards.
Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Idoc configurations in PI7.3

    Hi Experts,
For an Idoc scenario prior to PI 7.3, RFC destination, port, logical system and partner profile needs to be created in case of outbound Idoc scenario and again at XI side we need to create RFC destination, port and loading of meta data....
Is the same is applicable for PI 7.3 as well? since Idoc resides in AAE in PI 7.3, I believe there could be some changes applicable for these settings of Idoc....

  • IDOC configuration Issue

    HI All,
I am getting the following error Unable to Convert Integration Process into ALE Logical System... Even though i defined LS in Business Landscape and also In Adapter Specifiers of Business System...
I have gone through all the weblogs and threads in the forums related to this topic, but still I am confused with the steps to followed.
I am workinng on a BPM Scenario where from Legacy system, I will be sending Order Details to XI and From XI (BPM) to R/3 through IDOC adapter...
So Say XISERVER is the Client 600
And SAP R/3 is         Client 800
Please Can u tell me the steps to be followed i.e ,
In which sys .to define Logical Systems, RFC and where to create Port..
Actually i created a Logical System in Client 800 (IDS800) and also the same in Client 600
Now please can any one provide me steps to be followed in detail....
    Points will be rewarded......
    Regards,
    Sridhar

    Hi Micheal,
I have already done header mapping as mentioned by you. Our total scenario is as follows:
We have a outbound-asynchronous interface, an abstract-asynchronous interface mapped to the IDOC ORDERS01. Our integration process has a simple recieve and send step. In the configuration part we have done Reciever Determination for file system to BPM and from BPM to R/3.
we also imported Integration process from IR and here we have the same Abstract interface as sender and receiver .. Is this any prob..?
After that we have followed all the steps given in the How to Document on IDOC adapter congfiguration. We have searched through lot of posts in form and tried all the suggestions.
Pls help us by giving some sequence of steps or snap shots to my mail ID ([email protected])...
    Thanks and regards,

Plz help me out if any one has some idea abt it.
    Thanx
    Rekha

    Hi Rekha,
The End Point Type for your scenario should be an IDoc Adapter with parameters from your RFC destination in SM59.
The most common reason for this error is:
    1. An error in configuration of sender adapter/proxy: wrong sender business system or namespace or interface name. Look, all this information you must put manually so be carefull on typos (one wrong or ommited letter and you can spend hours looking what is wrong). Copy (from Repository) and paste procedure is strongly recommended.
    2. An error in Directory (Endpoint Configuration). Be careful to specified the correct host and port!!!
    Hope this helps.

    Suraj

  • IDoc Adapter - Logical System - File to IDOC configuration

I have a scenario reading a File ->XI->IDoc in R/3. I'm looking to have the control record parameter for SNDPRN reflect the Environment dealt with. I unchecked the 'Apply Control Record Values from Payload'  & 'Take Sender from Payload' boxes but the problem I'm getting is that the system is reading from the business service (IDoc Adapter - Logical System) and feed it in the Partner Profile in the IDOC. This means that I should all the time redefine 3 this Logical System in config before transporting my scenario from DEV/QA/PRD. Any idea how I can avoid this kind of 'hardcode' ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Why u r using three different LS can't u use only one LS and send all the IDOCs to same LS. That will ease ur task.
Do let me know why u r going for three different LS.
In the file r u getting any data which will help u to identify that this file is for which LS. IF that is the scenario then u can use the value mapping and based on the value which is coming in file u can map it to the IDOc filed which u have mentioned and in the configuration it will take the respective configuration.
    Thnx
