    Any pointers?

Which version of OIM 11G you are using?
If request is in failed status after operational label approved ->
Check if any post operation are attached like (Provisioning process or Event handlers), If you will get any
Exception, then whole process along with request will rollback
If it happens in occasionally ->
It could be bug with OIM 11.1.1.5, because I am facing same issue but if I shutdown one managed server
(Cluster mode) and 2nd is in running mode, then my request is get approved always.

  • Reconciliation of "change password on next logon" from AD fails in OIM 11g

    Hello,
We have a use case on our OIM 11g project where we create a user in Active Directory and check *"User must change password at next logon"* box in AD.
We have setup AD as Trusted and Target resource (using connector 9.1.1.7), where users coming from AD will be created in OIM and password changes in OIM will be sent to AD. Also we use the password synchronization module (9.1.1.5) to synchronize the passwords from AD to OIM when they are changed in AD.
What we noticed is the "User must change password at next logon" is synchronized to the "AD Resource", but unlike the regular attributes it is not accessible normally because it's a system attribute.
What we expect is the user logging in to OIM will be prompted to change the password, but nothing happens when the newly reconciled user logs in (i.e. normal self-service page is shown). Same thing applies when we set the flag on an existing user also.
Did anyone get this working properly?
P.S. In a previous version it used to be the opposite where the user was constantly prompted for the password, even though it was changed in AD already, after changing the password using Alt+Crtl+Delete the user was still prompted to change when logging in to OIM. Oracle suggested we upgrade to 11.1.1.5.1 (most recent patch set) but now the reverse happens - we never get change password prompt now.
    Thanks,
    -JP

Yeah, you're right, unfortunately we have dual authorative password model, where a user can change the password from OIM when he is accessing a OIM through a web interface or from his Windows machine through the domain controller. We need the use case to work fully both ways ideally.
A plan-B solution is to use a directory synchronization mechanism outside of OIM that would connect OID and AD, but we would prefer not to.

On further observation found that orclobjectguid for users and roles is not being set in OID. However in the oim profile, i am able to see the ldapguid for users. In the RA_LDAPUSERS and RA_LDAPROLE table, value for orclobjectguid is null due to which there is no linking.

  • How do i reconcile users from OIM to OID

I have configured the OIM with the connector for OID. But the user created in OIM is not stored in the OID. How should i proceed with it?

You are trying to do Provisioning with OID.
You have logged in with XELSYSADM.
You have searched for user and went to his Resource Profile.
Clicked Provision New Resource and selected OID.
Resource form must be populated and you have filled the information and clicked continue and subitt that.
Now go to Process Form attached with it and see whether values for OID Server has come and check for other attributes also.
Also uncheck Auto Save button and start provisioning for some user again and give proper values in all the fields of Process as well as Object forms.

    Martin and Rajiv,
    Thanks for your help.
I'm actually a newbie and I don't have much knowledge of OIM.
I came to know that I can generate the above mentioned reports by writing and adapter and attaching it to a schedule task. I am aware of how to write the adapter and how the adapter is attached to the schedule task, but I'm not actually aware of what should I code in the adapter in order to fetch the required information. i.e. what should I code, that helps me to generate a report wherein I can find the provisioned resources to a particular user between a period of time.
I am just not clear with what the approach should be in order to proceed further on this.
Any help here would really be appreciated.
I'm sorry for asking such kind of a question, but I'm very new to this and couldn't find a way better than this.
    Regards
    Nikhil

  • Reconcilation failed ... its urgent

    Hi all,
Reconcilation on AD resoure is faling.
I have gone through the all suggested solutions but no luck.
so ,Is it possible to reconfigure the resoure? and then try for reconcilation?

What is the error you're getting? You might try running the system log report to see what's going on. Sometimes that report will show more information than the regular reconciliation status page.

    Any idea whats going on?
When configuring OIM, I provided a value for the "LDAP Role Container" as "ou=Groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com". The docs shown an example of "cn=groups, dc=mycountry, dc=com" (see http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/install.1111/e12002/oidonly.htm#CDDDIAIC, step 18). Could this difference in container type be causing this problem?
Any idea where OIM stores this container information if I wanted to test ldap sync with the different roles container?
    Thanks
    Aspi Engineer
    Putnam Investments

    Aspi,
OIM keeps its ldap config under "$IDM_HOME/server/ldap_config_util" as "ldapconfig.props"

  • OIM 11GR2 UNIX Connector Reconcile users from UNIX inquiry

    Good Day!
I would like to ask whether there is a way in OIM that when I reconcile all new users from my UNIX server, OIM will also create the resource which this user is provisioned upon?
    Here is my scenario:
    1.) Freshly installed OIM 11GR2.
2.) Installed UNIX connector on OIM 11GR2.
    3.) Configured UNIX TRUSTED Resource
4.) Reconciled all the UNIX users into OIM. (New users are created since my OIM doesn't have any user)
5.) The problem is when the new users are now created in OIM, they don't have entitlements or accounts linked to the UNIX server which they have been pulled upon.
I would like to ask whether I need to configure something to have the entitlements/accounts linking possible?
If not, what are the ways I can achieve this?
The only way I can think of is have the UNIX users be created in a flat file first then load via GTC then have reconciliation to have OIM to link these users to UNIX which I believe should be able to do the scenario I am asking upon.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jeff

By the way, checking target resource recon by default will not create new users when OIM is not able to establish a link.
In my case, OIM doesn't have any users since this is a fresh install hence even running target resource at start will won't create the new users in OIM right?
    based from this:
"You configure application (AD, OID, OVD, HR) etc in Target Resource Mode if that OIM is source of truth for user provisioning (All users are created in OIM and OIM then provision accounts in Application. Any changes in Application are reconciled back to OIM)."

  • Creating GTC in OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0)

    Hi,
I'm trying to install Generic Technology Connector (Database_App_Tables_9.1.0.5.0) and to configure the target sysatem as a trusted source reconcilation task in OIM 11g 11.1.1.3 but I get a lot of problems. I used the following quides to do that:
    1) Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for Database Application Tables Release 9.1.0
    2) racle® Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
First of all, these quides don't correspond to the OIM 11g or I'm not smart enough to understand them. On the step 3 of configuration target system as a trusted source I can't find some of the mandatory fields of the OIM User form. The Guide tells me that mandatory fields are: User ID, First Name, Last Name, Employee Type, User Type, Organization. But in the User form only some of them represented: First Name, Last Name, Organization.
Nevertheless I configured my system as follows:
    1) I'd created table EMPLOYEES with columns LOGIN, FIRSTNAME(primary key), LASTNAME, ORGANIZATION in my Oracle DB. I'd add one row in my table useru, User, User, Xellerate Users.
    2) I'd configured my connector as follows:
    step1:
    Name      Test
    Reconciliation           select
Transport Provider Database Application Tables Reconciliation
Format Provider      Database Application Tables Reconciliation
    Trusted Source Reconciliation selected
    step2:
    Database Driver      oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Database URL      jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl
    Database User ID      system
    Database Password *******
    Parent Table/View Name EMPLOYEES
Reconcile Deletion of Multivalued Attribute Data not selected
    Reconciliation Type Full
    step3:
    source reconciliation staging OIM
    LOGIN---------------->LOGIN-------------------------------------->User Login
    FIRSTNAME-------->FIRSTNAME------------------------------->First Name(Matching only)
    LASTNAME--------->LASTNAME------------------------------->Last Name
    ORGANIZATION-->ORGANIZATION------------------------>Organization
After running TEST_GTC schedule, reconciliation is finished without errors in OIM log file and reconciliation evet is created.
The Reconciliation data of this event looks like:
Attribute Name Attribute value OIM mapped field
    LOGIN useru User Login
    FIRSTNAME User First Name
    LASTNAME User Last Name
    ORGANIZATION Xellerate Users Organization Name
The History of this event looks like:
    Event Recieved
    Data Validation Succeded
    No User Match Found
    Creation Faild
Notes: ORA Error Code =>ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into () ORA Error Stack =>ORA-06512: at DEV_OIM.OIM_SP_RECONBLKUSERCRUD", line 722
Has anyone any ideas how to get through this?
    Thanks in Advance!

  • OIM with EBS HR for recon and UM for provisioning - urgent

    Hi All
I am trying to setup OIM with EBS HR mod as the trusted source and EBS User mod for user provisioning. I am using the OOB EBS connector version 90430 with OIM 9.1.0.1. I have configured the reconcialiation and provisioning as per the oracle documentation. But only few of the parameters are reconciled into the OIM->USR table. When I go to Reconciliation Manager, I can see only few data fields in the processed data region and rest are in the unprocessed data region. The recon engine is able to pick up the corresponding values from the HR system but is not able to process the same.
Please let me know where can be the problem reside.
Also when I provision a record into Oracle EBS User mod, even if I give all the required data in the direct provisioning form, an account is created in the EBS system with partial data e.g. email is not getting provisioned.
Please help me in setting up recon and provisioning in OIM - EBS.
This is really urgent.. please help !!!
    Thanks

The standard suggestion for that is:
    - What's the reeson for using EBIZ connector version *9043*. That's an older version and may be these things which you are referring to could not be part of that connector.
    - Use the ORCL_EBS_UM_91000 and ORCL_EBS_ER_91000. You can download it from OTN. This should resolve the outstanding issues for you.
    Thanks

  • OIM 11.1.1.3 installation issues

    Hi All,
I am facing issue while trying to install OIM 11G (11.1.1.3.0). I have installed SOA 11.1.1.4.0, OIM 11.1.1.3.0 and have used RCU 11.1.1.4.0. After installing these components, I am trying to run the config.sh from the <IDM_HOME>/common/bin and have selected Oracle Identity Manager ,Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle WSM Policy Manager, Oracle JRF from the template options.
During this we are required to enter the schema information along with database details. I provided the same which I got from RCU. The utility then checks the database for those details but fails on OIM MDS Schema component check. I believe this might be an issue with the utility because the Database Query which is run for checking the OIM MDS Schema is looking for version 11.1.1.2.0 and not 11.1.1.4. Also for OWSM MDS Schema component check, the same query runs but for version 11.1.1.4 in the query.
Both the queries are same except for the version for which it is testing. Thus one of them is bound to fail. This utility checks 6 components in total and out of which only 1 is failing. I have already checked the schema_version_registry and there for mr_type=’MDS’ there is just one row and that has owner=’DEVOIM_MDS’ and version=’11.1.1.4.0’.
Will appreciate if anyone has any idea about this or have seen it earlier.
Another question which I have is about the compatibility for OIM 11.1.1.3.0, what are the supported versions of SOA, RCU and OFM IAM for this release of OIM as the latest OIM version is 11.1.1.3.0 while all the other components are 11.1.1.4.0.
    Thanks,
    BB

    Rajiv Dewan wrote:
which are released on 11.1.1.4.0Not sure what you are asking but OIM 11g is certified with SOA Software to 11.1.1.3.0.
After the installation is complete, you must run the Patch Set Installer for Oracle SOA Suite (included in the Disk1 directory under the soa_patchset.zip file) to >>update your 11.1.1.2.0 software to the latest version of Oracle SOA Suite (11.1.1.3.0).
On March 8th I believe Oracle has release SOA 11.1.1.4.0 and somewhere in the docs it says it is supported while same places it skips them out totally. I will go ahead with 11.1.1.2.0 with upgrade to 11.1.1.3.0
    Thanks!
