Reconciliation ad users into an Organization

Hi *,
I'm trying to run a reconciliation of ad users into oim.
1) In the "AD User Trusted Recon" schedule task, "OIM Organization" parameter,
when I set this parameter to "Xellerate Users", reconciliation run succeful. User is created on Xellerate Users organization.
But, when I try to give a different value (i.e. An organization name that we have created..For example, say "Demo"), it gives following error...
2009-11-16 04:40:19,467 ERROR [XELLERATE.SERVER] Class/Method: tcUSR/eventPreInsert Error :Mandatory fields are blank or null.
2) In current users in AD, they don't have an end date set. So, after reconciling those ad users to oim, I will set the end date from back end (i.e. by updating the OIM usr table manually). Will it trigger the "Update <field_name" task?

Thanks...But, when I change that value, I got an error....I will try that again.....
But, now i'm having another problem.....
I reconcile users from AD to oim using "AD User Trusted Recon"....But, this will not create any thing on "Resource Object" part of the user's profile...
So, after that i run the "AD User target recon"....This create a result on the "Resource Object" part of the OIM user's profile....
Resource Name -> AD User
Status -> Enable
Is this the correct way of reconciling user information....Otherwise, if I do not run the "AD User target recon", there is no indication or connection between OIM User profile and AD....
And another.....do I have to add "Change <field_name>" tasks on "AD User" provisioning process to update changes made in the OIM User's profile edit page to AD process form??

Reconciling from OVD to OIM

Hi,
I need to pull users from OVD to OIM and later provision them to ADAM. I am at the first part of implementation now, reconciliation from OVD to OIM. Unfortunately, OVD is not a predefined connector in OIM connector pack and hence I would not have the privilege of predefined XML files which have everything setup :(
My OVD is integrated with a OU in iPlanet and I want OIM to pull users from OVD. Can I use the iPlanet connector definitions (forms, adapters, processes, etc.) directly after configuring OVD IT resource and the resource object? or will I have to write an XML file for OVD similar to the standard one for iPlanet which has everything defined?
What about the JAR files that are used for provisioning purposes? For instance, xliIPLanet.jar file needs to be copied to JavaTasks directory which contains adapter classes for the iPlanet provisioning process. If I use this JAR with OVD will it work? If not, what do I do to create a JAR for OVD?
Please let me know the answer to this question. I am sure folks in this forum would have implemented a connector which is not in the OIM connector pack - what does one do then, is what I want to know.

The standard IPlanet connector should work fine with OVD. For basic functionality the iPlanet connector will work with any LDAPv3 compliant directory.

Search Users in RACF

Hi All,
I am trying to search user from RACF who has a particular racfConnectGroupName. But I am getting LDAP: error Code 53 - R000128 Filter 'racfConnectGroupName=something' is not supported. While I am able to search on the basis of another attribute like racfid.
Is there any restriction for this particular attribute? If so, is there any other way to meet this requirement?

User not created in OIM 11gr2 - trusted reconciliation from OID

I've found something that worked for me. When executing the trusted recon schedule task, the "Configuration Lookup" field in the "OID Server" IT Resource has to have the value "Lookup.OID.Configuration.Trusted". On the other hand, when executing the user sync recon schedule task, this field must have the value "Lookup.OID.Configuration.Trusted".
The lookups' names can be different if you've manually renamed them.

OIM 11GR2 UNIX Connector Reconcile users from UNIX inquiry

Good Day!
I would like to ask whether there is a way in OIM that when I reconcile all new users from my UNIX server, OIM will also create the resource which this user is provisioned upon?
Here is my scenario:
1.) Freshly installed OIM 11GR2.
2.) Installed UNIX connector on OIM 11GR2.
3.) Configured UNIX TRUSTED Resource
4.) Reconciled all the UNIX users into OIM. (New users are created since my OIM doesn't have any user)
5.) The problem is when the new users are now created in OIM, they don't have entitlements or accounts linked to the UNIX server which they have been pulled upon.
I would like to ask whether I need to configure something to have the entitlements/accounts linking possible?
If not, what are the ways I can achieve this?
The only way I can think of is have the UNIX users be created in a flat file first then load via GTC then have reconciliation to have OIM to link these users to UNIX which I believe should be able to do the scenario I am asking upon.

By the way, checking target resource recon by default will not create new users when OIM is not able to establish a link.
In my case, OIM doesn't have any users since this is a fresh install hence even running target resource at start will won't create the new users in OIM right?
based from this:
"You configure application (AD, OID, OVD, HR) etc in Target Resource Mode if that OIM is source of truth for user provisioning (All users are created in OIM and OIM then provision accounts in Application. Any changes in Application are reconciled back to OIM)."

Reconciliation: push updates from an OpenLDAP into OIM 11g

Yeah, you're right, unfortunately we have dual authorative password model, where a user can change the password from OIM when he is accessing a OIM through a web interface or from his Windows machine through the domain controller. We need the use case to work fully both ways ideally.
A plan-B solution is to use a directory synchronization mechanism outside of OIM that would connect OID and AD, but we would prefer not to.

Date parse error while importing users from OIM to OIA (SRM 5.0.3)

Env Details:
OIA (SRM 5.0.3), Weblogic and Oracle 10g DB
We have integrated OIM to OIA with extended attributes mapping by modifying iam-context.xml file to load users. Its done successfully. But when we map "Date" related attribute, its giving "Date Parsing error" and its not loading the users.
We have tried loading users using flatFile mechanism, its also giving same result.

Hi,
Its a problem with OOB's OIMIAMSolution.class file, which is called while importing users from OIM. It used DateParse () conversion method only for all attributes which OIA attributes' name is ends with "Date". It defined, the conversion of date from (yyyy-MM-dd). So its expecting the input value should be in defined format(yyyy-MM-dd), if not, it gives a parse error.
We found work around for this as follows,
We have used other related OIA attribute which name ends other than "Date" string.

Provisiong of users from OIM to Exchange Server 2007

I am trying to Provisioning the users from OIM 9.1.0.1 to Exchange server 2007. For this i used Exchange Server Connector 9.1.1.1.0. By using AD_Base_connector 9.1.1.0.0 i can
provisioned the user details. But while provisioning to the Exchange server 2007 i am getting the following error

And i am unable to get the LookUp detais for the MailBox in Design Console as well as in the ScheduleTasks in OIM Admin Console..

I solved the above error by removing oscache***.jar file and keeping only oscache.jar in lib directory.

i noticed that for any user i create on OIM objectGUID is 0 , i can read groups and organizations from LDAP with no errors

This issue is coming because your object guid is not getting synchronized properly. Login to design console and open AD User form. Go to pre-populate tab. Open prepop adapter for User Principal name. Here bydefault IT resource name passed is Active Directory whereas you should have your IT server name which I think bydefault is AD Server. In the Mapto section select Process data and qualifier field will have AD server. Click on save button. Save your form.
Retry your test case now. This will resolve your problem.

I am trying to setup provisionig from OIM to AD. I just want to provision Users from OIM to AD.
I am going through this documentation/tutorial:

But it just won't work. The provisioned resource get's always status rejected in the (To-Do List --> Open Tasks).

But i can't get to populate the Organization Name on the user form, because there are no values available.
