Search Users in RACF

Hi All,
I am trying to search user from RACF who has a particular racfConnectGroupName. But I am getting LDAP: error Code 53 - R000128 Filter 'racfConnectGroupName=something' is not supported. While I am able to search on the basis of another attribute like racfid.
Is there any restriction for this particular attribute? If so, is there any other way to meet this requirement?

I had done the scripts run by this command manually in RACF console and it's run well. But when I try provision using IdM, it throws such error. Is there anyone having the same problem?

How to search users in Outlook Using Last Name and First Name

During recent times we change the naming convention in AD, FirstName , LastName
We can search users using More Columns but I would like to know alternate method to search users. The search result should sort results by last name as query

Based on my knowledge, there is no related method to enforce all users using More Columns as the default search option in Outlook Address Book. We can just change the search option for individual Outlook user by remembering the last search using as I mentioned
above.

Search Users by Group(Role) Name

In OIM 9g, I can search users by group name like below:
searchFor.put("Groups.Group Name", "my group");
tcResultSet users = userOp.findUsers(searchFor);
But it does not work in 11g, change "Groups.Group Name" to ""Groups.Role Name", don't work neither.
Does anyone know how to search users by Role name in 11g?

Search User Page - Case Sensitivity Problem

Hi,
While searching users according to the criterias like user's firstname or lastname, the search is case sensitive.
Is there a way to make incase sensitive search?

I would say a no for it because at the back-end the findUsers() API is getting called for which the value is a String Object. So its always case insensitive according to me.

Created New Group but cannot Search User

Hi,
I have created new group, added the required menu, I can see the Search User Form, but when I tried to search ALL or certain user there's no user(s) found.
Any settings or permission required forthis group?

If you are trying to search for users, you need to make sure your user who is searching has access to the Organization.
Go to manage organizations, select the organization, select the Administrators option from the drop down, and then add the group you want to give writes to. Then all users in that group can perform searches for users within that organization.

I am calling the FindUser method and my query works fine. How do I seach using an "OR" query? Meaning, if a <userattribute>=<value> OR <userattribute2>=value2.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to search user profile using FullTextSqlQuery.
Please try to use the query below:
SELECT PictureURL, TitleOfPersonal, PersonalTitle, Lastname, Firstname, AccountName, JobTitle, Department, workemail, EmployeeID, Empid, Exten, LeftDate, JoinDate
FROM SCOPE() WHERE "scope"='People'
If the query works, please use CONTAINS(DEPARTMENT,'<value>') instead of
Department = '<value>' .

I have a problem with FullTextSearch query for user profile:
I have the query below:
SELECT PictureURL, TitleOfPersonal, PersonalTitle, Lastname, Firstname, AccountName, JobTitle, Department, workemail, EmployeeID, Empid, Exten, LeftDate, JoinDate
FROM SCOPE() WHERE "scope"='People' AND (Department = 'CEO Office' OR Department = 'Marketing & Business Development Department' OR Department = 'Medical Department' OR Department = 'Finance Department' OR Department = 'COO Office' OR Department
= 'Document Management & Translation Department') AND empID != '' ORDER BY LastName
But this query does not return any result!

1. Are you sure it's Web-Dynpro? (check the code link of the iView under portal content).
I Can't check it right now, but I would be surprised if it is.
2. In any way you'll implement it (Web-Dynpro or not), You'll need to use the User Management API.

Search User Page Customization

Hi,
I want to add a new search criteria to the search user page. The field that i want to add is a user defined loookup field,'City' and contains a list of cities.
The search criteria should look like "Status" or "Employee type" fields. I have tried to add the following to the xlDefaultAdmin.properties, but nothing changed.
global.request.users.selectedListDisplayFields=USR_UDF_CITY
global.request.users.selectedListDisplayFields.lables=global.xlmetadata.users.city

This will require a long series of tedious work and future care. I have done this one and hate to come back. Please see below the list of thing I have done (I may forget some, but if any point to stuck at I can help you with that)
First, you decide whether you want drop down or list, etc... for you search criterias.
Edit or create new search page (name what ever you want).
If edit, files will edit includes SeachUser pages and tiles, WebAdmin, struts-config and tiles-defs.
If create new, create new jsp file what ever you like. Then create a FormBean and ActionBean class to hadle the action. Edit the struts-config and tiles-def to include your new class form and messages.
Back up your war file (xlWebApp.war)
Place new or edited files back into your war file (xellerate\webapp\xlWebApp.war)
run the patch command. This command will call Ant to compile and rebuild your new war file
Look at the log to ensure the build is complete without error
Now the tricky part ....
Ant build command will place your original struts-config, tiles-defs and WebAdmin. This will cause your new class file, and message not seeing from Servlet action and thus generate error.
I used WinRAW to open the xlWebApp.war file and put the new file into it again.
Restart your server and test it.
To complete this task you need to know struts, tiles, jsp, Servlet and Java Bean (not EJB)

Search user details in so12 using sap id

user says he used to search user name and phone no in s012 for other sap users using their sap id . by selecting 'other user' option . but when i select this option it shows first name ,last name and compnay fields only. how can i display the sap user id option in this . can anyone help
