Recurring Campaigns

Hi,
I am quite new to this and the handover notes we were given as part of the initial implementation are quite vague in this area so i am hoping someone can help.  I am trying to create a basic recurring campaign without entering Campaign Automation. 
I have tried this using just a campaign and also a campaign with a campaign element by setting the start and end date in the basic data tab and also in the channels tab selecting the recurring campaign option and specifying the period and number.  This results are that the initial email is being received but no further emails are.
I then tried using the Execute Job periodically in the job wizard which does produce the emails as requested however it isn't possible to specify an end period in this.
if someone could help me with this I'd be very appreciative.

After each execution the target group is now  free for editing.
Have set up a job for regenerating the target group.
(there was some sort of delay/blockage in releasing the target group after execution, seems to work fine now)

  • Recurring campaign for new registered customers

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a recurring campaign for the following scenario:
    A customer registers on a website.  Each time a new customer registers on this website a new BP record will be created and the BP will assigned a new marketing attribute value of 'New customer'.  At the end of each day we would like to send every customer who has registered today an email confirming their registration details.  So on day 2 (tomorrow) more new customer registers and at the end of day 2 we pick up new customers from day 2 and send them their email confirmations.
    We have done the following setup for the recurring campaigns:
    - Created a new attribute set with attribute value 'New customer" = Yes
    - Prepare infoset which covers all BPs contacted by any campaign.  This is reflected by the use of the contact tracking table for outbound contacts
    - prepare a profile for all 'New customers' in segment builder where new customer attribute = yes reduced by the customers contacted already
    - Create email form
    We have put this in a recurring campaign.  The 1st day it works and sends emails to new customers.  The 2nd day it picks up new customers but also picks up customers from the 1st day. 
    Does anyone have any idea where we are going wrong here and why the target group is still picking up the new customers from the 1st day.
    Our infoset looks like the one below:
    Field "CRMD_IM_ML_ITEM - ML_GUID_H" joined to "CRMD_IM_ML_HEAD - ML_GUID_H" and "CRMD_IM_ML_HEAD - TASK_GUID" joined to "CGPL_TASK - GUID"
    Our data source contains the marketing attribute and infoset.  The infoset uses the CGPL_TASK-EXTERNAL_ID- filter is on the campaign element
    Then in segment builder profile = marketing attribute new customer = yes (REMOVE) "CGPL_TASK-EXTERNAL_ID- filter is on the campaign element"

    Solved by myself . Workflow logic takes care of scheduling a workflow task to execute an upcoming instance of a recurring campaign.

  • Recurring Campaign: "Campaign not Started"

    Dear colleague!
    I use CRM 7.0.
    I want to create Recurring Campaign, but I have a problem when I execute campaign, system generates error "Campaign not Started".
    But when I execute unperiodic campaign, everything works.
    What is the problem?

  • Recurring/ Periodic Campaign setup

    Hello CRM Gurus,
    I need to set up a recurring campaign in SAP CRM system where the TG is getting updated every hour.
    I maintain a campaign and assign a TG to it, do the required settings in Campaign Automation mode (Selecting periodic campaign check box and filling up the period type, No. of periods boxes) in it and Start the campaign.
    A batch job will got set up automatically in the system and maintain Activity transaction for the customers in TG as expected.
    But the issue is that although the campaign should run every hour as per the setting made, this is not happening.
    The client want the process fully automated without any human interference. Can any 1 please let me know how to achieve the objective mentioned..
    The questions here are,
    Do we need to create a new TG for every execution or overwriting on the prior 1 will be fine.
                                 If we are making new TG, how to delete the existing assigned TG from the campaigns as system is not allowing to delete the TG saying "Segment * has already been transferred to a channel"
    Lastly how to make it run every hour, as i have many campaigns like this and cant set a batch job for 1 specific as i don't have idea how to create the variant for all the campaigns

    The Periodic campaign option given in the Campaign is not working for me, that might be a bug in SAP system only.
    But the functionality is being achieved by setting up a job while running the campaign from the Campaign element. It runs fine but only problem is that you need to manually delete the scheduled Batch job when you want to end the campaign, there is no functionality of No. of periods while setting up job in campaign element.
    In my case the campaign is for ever so i don't need to stop is ever, you may contact SAP directly if you need it for particular cycles/ periods.'

  • Campaign Automation and Execution

    Hello All,
    In our scenario, we are sending out e-mails during a campaign execution and we have defined a sender's address. But our recipient address for the Read receipts and any replies is different.
    Also we have an LDAP server and an Exchange Server already in our company.

    Hello,
    I'm trying to prepare a birthday campaign but I don't know how to detect the customers whose birthday is happening in the current day.
    I´m using the infoset "CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE" as the source for my Attribute List, but I don´t know how to determine the filters for the field "Date of birth". Can anybody tell me how to specify it?
    I know that once having the appropriate target, the next step is going to the marketing automation and defining a recurring campaign.

    Hi Experts,
    Can you please tell me how to execute a campaign? Is campaign automation a prerequisite for campaign exection?
    As per our business requirement, Leads have to be generated for all the target group customers during campaign execution.
    Any work flow settings are required for the above business process - if so what are the required configuration settings?
    What are the settings required for Automation?
    Is it possible to achieve above business scenario with out work flow settings?

    I have a requirement where i have to create a recurring campaign for weding wishes for clients.
    I need to send emails wishing them for their weddings anivarsary's.

    NIzel,
    Here is an example of event triggered campaigns for birthdays.
    You may replce birthday/ datw with wedding anniversary date.
    The steps are:
    1. Create an attribute - BIRTHDATE
    2. Create an attribute set - BIRTHDATES
    3. Assign an attribute value to the Attribute for the BPs
    4. Create a data source using the attribute set created above. The data source category should be Campaign Execution and segment type should be Campaigns.
    assign a filter i.e. birthdate = current date
    5. You will see the no. of BPs in the target group matching the criteria.
    6. Create a campaign. in the channels tab, choose the checkbox Recurring campaign, period monthly, no. of periods = 12
    7. Execute your campaign.

    We are executing a recurring campaign which will pick date as an attribute and filter, that will trigger sending of emails about the Happenings of a particular quadrant to all the stake holders.we are worried about the bounces now.

    Hi Muralidhar,
    To Set Up Bounce Management, you will have to first create Policies and rules in the Rule Modeler.
    **We create a rule where we say that if the Email contains the word bounce update the business partner address data.
    The Rule Modeler can be set up using PCUI. There choose context BOUNCE MANAGEMENT, with policy Default. Create the rules as u wish to like if email body contains word bounce than update the business partner address.

  • How are email series/ loyalty campaigns being handled in BC now? I don't see it as a campaign option?

    There are videos and how-tos on Loyalty Campaigns and Email Series but I do not have that as an option within my Email Campaign types, only One-off, Customer Event and Recurring.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction as what to do, where to look, or is it depreciated?

    I can confirm that this functionality has not been deprecated. The interface may have changed slightly based on the videos you are watching. If you create an email campaign and select 'Customer Event' from the 'Campaign Type' drop-down, you will then have the option to select 'Customer Subscribe Date' and specify the campaign to send after a certain period of time after a customer subscribed to a mailing list.
    The option for loyalty campaigns after selecting 'Customer Event' can also be seen from the drop-down as well - i.e. birthdays and anniversary's.
